Pasta snowflakes are a great alternative to paper counterparts. Snowflakes and stars from pasta for the new year Do-it-yourself snowflakes from pasta

Preparations

Hello dear readers! We are all used to traditionally making New Year's snowflakes from paper or napkins, but today I want to move away from using such conventional materials and bring to your attention a selection of photos of snowflakes created from the most ordinary pasta! These snowflakes will serve as spectacular, voluminous pendants that can be used to decorate a Christmas tree, windows, wall lamps, etc.

How to make pasta snowflakes.

For work you will need:

✓Pasta of various shapes;

✓Transparent glue, it is better to take "Moment";

✓White, silver, gold or blue spray paint (acrylic paints can be used as an alternative);

✓Ribbons, chains, bows, beads, rhinestones, sparkles, artificial snow. Instead of snow, you can use salt, sugar or semolina (you can see how to decorate a vase with semolina);

✓PVA glue and brush.

Let's get started ... We pour the selected pasta onto different plates, cover the table with newspaper or paper, come up with the shape of the future pasta snowflake (above and below are photos of various shapes of pasta snowflakes, you can take them as a basis). So, having come up with the shape of a snowflake, lay out the pasta in the right order on the surface of the table, after which we glue all the parts with transparent glue to each other (and it’s better to start gluing from the inner circle of the product, otherwise the snowflake will turn out to be very fragile). After gluing all the details, ready-made pasta snowflakes should be left for about a day until completely dry.

When the pasta snowflakes are completely dry, you can proceed to the decorative part, namely painting ... We take a can of paint you like, for example, white, go out into the fresh air, carefully paint the product. There are several ways to color pasta snowflakes:

  1. In limbo. We thread a thread into the hole of the snowflake, hang the product on a stretched rope and start spraying paint from a spray can.
  2. In the supine position. We put the snowflake on an unnecessary tray or cardboard, go out into the fresh air and paint one side from the spray can first, wait for the paint to dry, turn the product over - paint the second side, as well as the sides of the snowflake.
  3. If you decide to use acrylic paint, then stock up on brushes of different sizes so that they can easily paint hard-to-reach places on products.
  4. If you decide to use gouache, be prepared for the fact that the product will dry for a very long time, and as a result it may even crack.

So, having decided on the method of coloring and painting the product, we wait for the snowflakes to dry out, and proceed to the next decorative stage - decoration ... Cover pasta snowflakes with a layer of PVA glue, and immediately sprinkle with sparkles, artificial snow, sugar, salt or semolina ( something one of the above or successfully combining several types of voiced powders). At the end, the product can be decorated with a ribbon, bow, rhinestones or beads, and of course, do not forget to thread a fishing line or rope.

Snowflake is one of the main elements of New Year's decor. They are in one form or another in almost every home: paper, plastic, cotton, painted. I suggest you look at things outside the box and make snowflakes from pasta with your own hands. Dry dough - the material is durable, dense, long-lasting and does not rot, so it is great for various kinds of crafts.

How to make Christmas snowflakes from pasta with your own hands

The idea to use curly pasta for various crafts was born relatively recently. This is connected, first of all, with the active development of the food industry. In a competitive environment, manufacturers began to attract consumers not only with taste, but also with the appearance of the product. This is how pasta appeared in the form of leaves, stars, curls, bows, etc. Such beauty is even a pity. We will look at food through the eyes of a decorator and make it not a dinner, but an original holiday decoration.

You will need pasta of various shapes, it is not necessary to buy everything that is on store shelves, 3-5 types will be enough. I suggest to use:

  • shells of two types (larger and smaller);
  • spirals;
  • wheels;
  • horns.

We take a board (so as not to cover the table when we glue the pasta) and begin to lay out various shapes. This is a rather exciting activity akin to assembling a constructor - there is a certain standard set of elements from which you can make anything. For children, it will be not only interesting, but also useful. Such activities help develop imagination, spatial thinking and fine motor skills. Experiment, try different combinations, in the end you will definitely be able to create a unique and inimitable pasta snowflake with your own hands.

We will glue all the elements with super glue, you can also use a silicone gun or any polymer glue. It is important for us that it sets quickly and does not stink. When the product is completely dry, paint it with gouache.

It is not necessary to buy a whole set, small jars are sold separately. When choosing a color, be guided not only by your own taste, but also by the interior that you will decorate. A win-win option is white, it fits the New Year theme and goes well with everything.

Hello dear readers! Having shown a little creativity, you can create incredibly beautiful Christmas decorations with your own hands ... Traditionally, for the New Year, everyone cuts out snowflakes from paper, or they buy ready-made plastic snowflakes in stores, in this review we will show you the same creativity that was discussed at the beginning of this article, namely, we will make snowflakes from curly pasta!

Moreover, for work we need a minimum of materials: various pasta, transparent glue moment, threads or fishing line, gold and silver paint in a spray can, as well as optional decorative elements (ribbons, bows, rhinestones, rivets, glitter, artificial snow).

Going to the grocery store, take a closer look at the shelves with pasta, perhaps before you did not pay attention to the assortment of figured pasta, but now they will come in handy.

Pour curly pasta into different plates (a certain shape of pasta into each plate), put a newspaper or oilcloth on the table (to avoid drops of glue on the countertop). We decide on the shape of the future snowflake, and here we lay out its blank on the newspaper, then we glue each pasta with the next one (it is better to glue it on a transparent glue moment). IMPORTANT: glue should be started strictly from the inside of the product, otherwise the snowflake will turn out to be very fragile and simply collapse at the slightest touch. After you have prepared the required number of creative snowflakes, leave them to dry in a warm place for 24 hours.

Enamel painting. It is better to purchase odorless mother-of-pearl enamel, then it is quite possible to complete the staining process in a residential area. So, we lay the product on a piece of cardboard, take an art brush, and carefully paint over each segment of the snowflake, wait for the surface to dry completely, turn it over, and do the same procedure with the reverse side.

Spray painting. We go outside to paint, otherwise you will have to ventilate the room for a long time from the sharp smell of paint. We thread a thread into one of the rings of the product, and hang it on a twig, after which we cover with spray paint first one side, then the other, leave the snowflakes to dry. The next way: we put a wonderful snowflake on a piece of cardboard, paint the front side from a spray can, wait until the paint is completely dry, turn the product over and paint the second side, leave it to dry completely. After that, you can proceed to an additional decorative part, for example, cover the snowflakes with a layer of PVA glue and sprinkle artificial snow on top.

Paint the finished snowflakes with gloss effect paint, gold or silver is perfect.

What if there is no artificial snow?

Friends, the main thing is not to despair, artificial snow can be replaced with powdered sugar, just sugar, fine salt, white glitter sand, semolina. Consider the decor of the snowflake with semolina: on the prepared snowflake, draw suitable patterns with PVA glue (it is better to take the glue in a bottle with a dispenser spout), then place the snowflake on a wide plate, and generously sprinkle the patterns with semolina mixed with white glitter-sand, remove the excess cereal with a blow . Leave the product to dry for about 12 hours.

Do not overdo it with the amount of glitter sand, it is better to apply a small amount of it, then the effect will be much more pleasant.

How to decorate pasta snowflakes.

✔ Small bows look great on such snowflakes, beautiful bows are obtained using the most ordinary table fork.

✔ Rhinestones are an excellent material for almost any decor, and in the case of snowflakes, they will be absolutely appropriate. Rhinestones should be glued on a transparent glue moment, they can be scattered randomly over the surface of the product or lay out cute flowers, stars, circles, etc.

✔ A simple packing tape can noticeably enliven a pasta snowflake, just tie the tape at the base of the pendant (where the rope is fixed), then run the blade of a knife or scissors along the line of the tape, as a result we will get a beautiful ribbon wave.

✔ Beads of various sizes can also serve as a great decoration for a decorative snowflake. We select beads that are suitable in size and shade and glue them to the surface of the product using moment glue.

✔ Glitter sand. We cover the impromptu snowflake with a layer of PVA glue, and sprinkle sand-shine on top (do not use a lot of glitter, a subtle flicker looks much better).

Decorate the finished product with small and large rhinestones, when light hits, their faces will effectively gleam and shimmer.

The remaining few days before the New Year is the time to do holiday crafts with the children. Many people know how to make paper snowflakes? But how to make them from pasta with your own hands? It turns out that from this, such an unusual material for crafts, amazingly beautiful snowflakes are obtained, which can not only be hung on a Christmas tree in the most honorable place, but it’s not even a shame to give grandmother or one of your friends as a New Year’s souvenir. But let's talk about everything in order.

What you need to make your own pasta snowflakes

First of all, you will, of course, need the pasta itself. It is best if they have different sizes and shapes. In addition, you will need an all-purpose superglue. If your children are still small and do not know how to work with glue, it does not matter, you can use plasticine instead of a son-in-law. Beads, sparkles and even the most ordinary sugar are suitable as elements for decoration. Or semolina. In general, we will be guided by the situation.

The principle of operation is very simple. First, you glue a snowflake from pasta, and then decorate it with the means that you have at hand. In particular, acrylic-based paints can be used to paint the finished snowflake. But if you don’t have them, then you can replace it with ordinary gouache. And if you coat a pasta snowflake with PVA glue, and then sprinkle it thickly with sugar, semolina or sparkles, then you will get a New Year's souvenir sparkling with almost real frost. You can use to give the finishing touch and hairspray with sparkles. In general, turn on your imagination and get creative, focusing on the schemes we have presented.

Some useful tips for making DIY pasta snowflakes

As in every job, there are some little tricks that you need to know.

First of all, sort the pasta you have into varieties and arrange them on separate plates. Choose the shape of the snowflake that you will make or come up with your own. Lay out the snowflake and glue the parts with glue at the points of contact. Do not forget that the finished snowflakes need time for the glue to dry well and the product does not crumble in your hands during further processing. Therefore, prepare in advance a place where your snowflakes will dry for at least a day.

Coloring the product is a very important point. It is best if you use spray cans for this purpose. Painting a snowflake from a spray can should be done not indoors, but outdoors, for example, on a balcony.

If you use brushes, then make sure that at least one or two of them are thin enough to penetrate into the most inaccessible places. Do not apply too much paint to the product, remember that you are working with pasta, which can get wet and deform.

The most convenient for painting pasta snowflakes are quick-drying acrylic paints. If you are working with gouache, then it will take some time for your snowflake to dry. In addition, sometimes after painting with gouache, the finished product cracks.

New Year is the time for crafts with children. It is this time that they will remember as the most magical days spent with their families. New Year's pasta snowflakes can be made even by the smallest kids. And most importantly - they do not require special financial costs!

Such beauty is not ashamed or to decorate the New Year tree with them. Shall we start?

For pasta snowflakes you will need:

  • pasta of different shapes and sizes;
  • plasticine (for kids);
  • silicone or super glue for older children;
  • paints - acrylic or Gouache;
  • decorative elements (sugar, semolina, glitters, sequins, beads).

Small children can glue pasta onto plasticine (to avoid messing around with glue). The downside of silicone glue is that you have to wait a long time until it “grabs”, which kids do not always have the patience for. It is best to use Moment glue or superglue (of course, under close supervision and with the help of adults!).

Everything is simple to do: glue the pasta and decorate the snowflake (first with paints, then decorate).

Acrylic paints with mother-of-pearl look very advantageous, but in their absence, you can use Gouache.

Another way to decorate pasta snowflakes is to smear the finished product with PVA glue, and then dip it in sugar, semolina or nail glitter (they are sold in small jars in nail fashion stores, they cost about 70r).

In general, there are many ways to show imagination. We hope these photos of stars and snowflakes will give you some ideas. Happy New Year and fluffy snow!
