Eye Pencil Max Factor Contour Kohl Pencil. Eyeliner from Max Factor - super resistant or not? Black eyeliner max factor

Oncology

I'm not a great specialist in eyeliner, maybe that's why I'm not very confident in choosing pencils. But maybe my review will be useful to someone. This post is about the Max Factor liquid effect pencil. Brown color 05 Brown.

I bought it in Rive Gaucher, for 280 rubles. I smeared a tester pencil on my hand, and went around the store in search of other cosmetics. The pencil did not want to be erased from my hand and seemed very resistant to me. That's why I bought it later.
The manufacturer promises: A specially designed long-lasting pencil with a soft creamy texture with the effect of a liquid eyeliner.

On the back of the pencil is a rubber pad for shading.

The pencil is soft, but not too soft. The line is drawn without pressure, without difficulty. The color is dark brown, saturated.

It looks like this on the eyes:

By the end of the day, it is a little smeared, it is noticeable in the photo:

Even in the fold of the century it is visible:

Apparently, this is due to the softness of the pencil. But completely the color can be erased from the eyes only with the help of makeup remover. And the line will not disappear from the eyes by itself. The staying power of the pencil is good.

In general, I am satisfied with the pencil. His rating: very good.

I bought it in the Rive Gaucher, while still pregnant. That is already 4 years ago! Then I had a fix idea about the light edging of the lips before painting them with lipstick, and I also wanted to draw the so-called water line - the mucous membrane of the lower eyelid, to visually enlarge the eye. I stupidly went for a white pencil, (in my case it was a mistake). I trust the firm Max Factor, and I took the pencil offered by the consultant without talking. The price was 250-300 rubles. It seems not very expensive, but for just a white pencil, I think, and not a little. He had to be at least good. About what disappointment befell me after the purchase, I will tell in the course of the review, but for now let's look at it and at the make using it. So, here it is, the highlight of our program. For 4 years I used only half, so I didn’t like it to such an extent.

Now I’ll show you which application of all is the most adequate for me - highlighting accents, the corner of the eye and the lash line on the eyelids. Perhaps the only plus of the pencil - saturation and fat content - is easy to apply. I put a pencil on ready-made shadows, but I try to be fatter. Since after shading it is strongly scattered. Here is this "semi-finished product"

Then I blend with these brushes....

And on top I draw an arrow with this eyeliner.

Well, with ink for completeness))

Here's an application that hasn't gone anywhere. On shadows + with shading, the pencil looks good.

Now about the mucosa - I did not like the effect. Firstly, it turned out that the white color is not suitable for me. It contrasts too much with the color of the squirrel, creates the effect of "tired eyes", looks vulgar. A milky beige pencil was perfect for me for the water line, but that's a completely different story. Okay, the color is my jamb, but the pencil itself stays on the mucous membrane for 2 hours at the most, while it starts to strip. I don't use it anymore.

As for the edging of the lips - here, too, a bummer came out for me. Again, firstly, for this I need a calmer color, not pure white. White - it seems to me, "from greed" then pinned down, Schaub immediately wow what an effect. And you need either, again, a creamy champagne color, or just highlight with a lighter foundation, as I have been doing lately. So here, too, it's not even about color. I didn't like how it sits on the edge of the lips. I SEE HIM! Directly clearly and overly, even if shaded. Also, a million micro-crumbs of some kind of white around the lips remain if you look closely. Went, noticeable, collective-farm and in general fu-fu-fu! Personally, he didn’t suit me for these 2 purposes, so I can’t advise you, friends either. I could buy a similar pencil in terms of properties for 50 rubles on the market, but not for 300.

Thank you for reading

Max Factor Kohl Pencil is a traditional wooden pencil. Our tests showed that the lead is too hard for an eyeliner and even more so for a kajal. It is difficult for them to get a bright line, it is difficult to apply and does not completely stain the skin. In addition, the pencil is not very stable, it is easily erased from accidental touches and can blur if you have oily skin. You will have to stock up on a mirror and patience to touch up the contour during the day.

Sustainability - 3.2

According to our experts, the Max Factor Kohl Pencil is not sustainable. The women who participated in our tests noted that it was erased from inadvertent touches, and on oily skin it spreads from natural sebum, especially in hot weather. Using this pencil, you will have to touch up your makeup from time to time.

Contour - 2.8

In order to achieve the desired effect from the Max Factor Kohl Pencil, you will need to pass it over the eyelid several times. To evaluate the quality of the smear, we applied three lines to the skin - one, three and five layers. You can see this in the photo above. Max Factor Kohl Pencil is difficult to apply, if you want to get an even intense line, then you will have to apply two to three layers.

The Max Factor Kohl Pencil has below average stroke quality in our tests. It has a lead of medium hardness, which leaves an uneven mark and does not completely stain the skin.

In the photo under a microscope, we see the same picture as Givenchy Magic Khol - a smooth surface of a smear, which in practice looks like a faded line that needs to be added additionally.

Ease of rinsing - 4.2

As shown by our tests, the contour applied by Max Factor Kohl Pencil washes off well. It is especially easy to wash it off with a two-phase liquid - this can be done in one movement of the hand, it will take a little more effort if you use plain soap and water.

It is a little more difficult to wash off the contour with micellar water and makeup remover milk, but here the difference is negligible.

Ergonomics - 3.4

The Max Factor Kohl Pencil is not so easy to draw, according to our experts. And this despite the fact that he is considered a kayal. It has a hard lead that drags the skin of the eyelid and draws with a broken line, so you have to apply the outline in small strokes, which, of course, is not very convenient.

Max Factor Kohl Pencil is presented in the form of a traditional wooden pencil. It is easy to sharpen, especially since it has a solid lead that does not crumble or break. However, there are no additions to the pencil. If you want to sharpen the tip or blend the line, you will have to use the tools from your cosmetic arsenal.
