How to wash things so they don't stain. What to do to prevent things from fading: washing secrets. Proper washing of faded items

Diseases

It can be very disappointing when new clothes, during the first wash, not only lose their appearance and color, but also spoil other things. If you know how to wash faded items correctly, there will be less disappointment. The rules are simple and there are very few of them.

Basic rules for washing colored items

Before washing, clothes must be sorted:

  • white - separate from everything;
  • black, gray, blue;
  • from yellow and orange to red and pink; can be washed with light brown items;
  • blue, blue, green;
  • motley.

Separation by material

Clothes made from different materials require different washing powders or liquids. Linen can be washed with cotton, silk with synthetics, wool separately. Separate washing should also be done for jeans, which not only usually fade, but can also be damaged by zippers and rivets on more delicate items.

Pre-check

New items need to be checked for color fastness. The easiest way to do this is to use an iron: lightly wet the item in an inconspicuous place, cover with a white napkin and press with a hot iron. Shedding fabrics will certainly appear as colored streaks and spots.

Fixing paint

If you find that your clothes are fading, you can try fixing the dye to the fabric. To do this, you need to soak the item for 1 hour in salt water at room temperature. For the solution, just take half a glass of salt in a bucket of water. Instead of salt, you can make a vinegar solution: ¼ cup of table vinegar per bucket of water. Vinegar should also be added to the rinse water. Dye on cotton fabrics is fixed in a turpentine solution: 50 ml per 5 liters of water, soak for 30 minutes. Don't worry about the smell, everything will wash and rinse off.

No bleach

To prevent things from fading, you need to use only universal products or those specifically designed for colored fabrics. Before washing faded items, you should always look at what is written on the clothing label.

Take note

  • Before washing, it is better to turn things inside out and fasten all zippers and buttons.
  • You need to wash in almost cold water, up to 30°C. And no soaking in detergent before washing!
  • We select only delicate mode, with minimal spin. If washing faded items by hand, do not twist the faded item too much or rub it too much.

Modern methods of dyeing fabrics most often provide fairly durable dyeing. If the item sheds a lot, then it is most likely due to the poor quality of the paint. Try returning the defective product to the store, or contact the Consumer Rights Protection Society. Low-quality paint can cause irritation and allergies, and therefore poses some danger to sensitive skin.

This applies to jeans to a much lesser extent, since some of the dye often comes out of denim during the first few washes. As a rule, already by the third or fourth time the water will acquire only a faint tint. If you wash your jeans inside out and with all zippers or buttons fastened, the rich color will last longer. It is better not to wring jeans too hard, as this may cause light streaks to appear on the fabric.

How to wash faded items? This question concerns most housewives who have purchased new clothes and strongly doubt the strength of the dye.

Brightly colored clothing is, above all, a great way to stand out from the crowd. Outfits with colored prints look amazing; you can wear them both to a celebration and to the office. But, as soon as the time comes to wash a contaminated item, many housewives are overcome by fear, and questions appear in their heads: “How to wash a new item so that it does not fade?” or “How not to spoil a product during the washing process?” Don't worry about this. If you properly prepare for the procedure, then the item will not be damaged in appearance. Let's look at this in more detail.

Today, clothing manufacturers use fairly durable dyes for their products. But if the new thing does fade, then this indicates that it was painted with low-quality paint. Such a cheap method of coloring may well cause an allergic reaction in someone whose skin is very sensitive.

Denim products are least affected by this circumstance. The fact is that after two or three washes, denim releases a certain amount of dye, and then even less. If you turn the denim item inside out and fasten it with zippers before washing, the shade will last longer. You should not twist the fabric too much, because white streaks may appear on the jeans, which is not always beautiful.

In order to prevent a situation in which the laundry may fade, you should not load clothes of different colors into the drum of the automatic washing machine. Products should be sorted depending on the shade of the fabric: light, printed and dark. But not all colored items can be assembled when washing. It is not recommended to mix cool tones such as green and blue. Warm colors such as red, yellow or orange should not be washed together.

After you have acquired a new item, you need to check whether the fabric on the item is fading. This can be checked in several ways. The simplest and fastest method is this: you need to dip a small fragment of the product in warm or hot water, after wrapping it in a white cloth. Then the item being tested must be wrung out. If a dye appears on the material, it means that the product is capable of shedding.

For such clothes, you must first carry out the procedure for preserving the shade. This is quite easy to do. It is enough just to soak the new thing in water to which finely ground table salt has been added. It is necessary to adhere to the proportion: 1 large spoon of the product is diluted with 1 liter of chilled water. Then the item is soaked in the solution for 60 minutes. Then the clothes are thoroughly rinsed, and after that they begin to wash.

Experts recommend washing fading items by hand. It is necessary to take non-hot water, to which a special washing component has been previously added, intended for colored laundry. It is not advisable to squeeze such a product very hard. This can lead to damage to the tissue structure.

You can read about how to wash things that shed a lot in the next section of the article.

How to check dye strength?

To check the strength of the dye, the product must be given a special test to determine the quality of the coloring composition.

There are several ways to do this.

For this method you need:

  • wet a small part of the product;
  • iron with a hot iron, covering with a paper sheet on top;
  • If a coloring pigment appears on the paper, then the item is capable of fading.

Such a product cannot be washed at the same time with other items, so as not to harm both the new thing itself and other items of clothing.

We do the following:

  • we cut off a special piece of material that the manufacturer sews on the wrong side;
  • soak it in a solution of ammonia (5-6 drops per 1 liter of water);
  • leave for 10-15 minutes;
  • then the product must be thoroughly rinsed under running water.

If after this method of testing the material changes color, it means that the fabric is capable of shedding.

We do it this way:

  • We take water heated to 30 degrees into a bowl;
  • add a small amount of powder or liquid “remedy” to it;
  • soak the product in water for 15 to 20 minutes;
  • wrap the item in white cotton cloth;
  • wring out the product and then check the fabric;
  • pay attention to the water in the basin.

If the fabric and soap component are stained, then the product will fade. You should not wash it with other things.

Removing coloring pigment from clothes

How to remove pigment from clothes? This question is often asked by women who have had this situation.

If you accidentally put a product that can fade into the drum of the washing machine with other things, and you find that stains have appeared on the new item, do not be upset. Maybe all is not lost yet. It is necessary to take action as quickly as possible. Stains from the product must be removed. If a light or white item has deteriorated, you can use bleach. It is best to take an oxygen-containing product that does not contain chlorine. You need to soak the product in water, adding a little bleach, and after 3-4 hours it needs to be rinsed. If you can’t get rid of the stains the first time, you need to re-soak.

Clothes with colored prints may fade when washed. There is no escape from this. To prevent anything like this from happening to your colored items, you need to know how to properly organize the process without harming your favorite dress or blouse.

There are several ways to return a damaged item to its original condition.

What you can do:

  1. Perform an additional wash at a temperature not exceeding 60 °C.
  2. Add an oxygen-containing bleaching compound intended for colored laundry, without exceeding the recommended dose.
  3. Use a special color restorer if it does not harm the fabric structure. You must first test the product on the inside of the product.

If none of the suggested remedies help, you can resort to folk remedies. To do this, it is necessary to soak the product in a solution of ammonia. You need to dilute 2 bottles of the substance with 5 liters of warm water. Then the faded item is left in the solution for 1-1.5 hours. After this time, the product must be rinsed thoroughly under running water.

Do not forget that for each item that can fade, it is necessary to apply a strictly individual washing method. The result of the process is influenced by the structure of the fabric, the quality of the dye and the detergent.

Using these recommendations, you can quickly return a faded product to its original appearance. If you do not neglect the advice from experienced housewives, then your things will delight you for a long time with a bright color, without streaks or traces of color washing out.

We wash things correctly so that they don’t fade

To prevent things from fading, you need to wash them correctly.

  • finely ground salt;
  • vinegar;
  • laundry detergent;
  • special equipment for hand washing;
  • automatic machine

Shedding items must be washed following the following recommendations:

  1. Before starting the process, things need to be sorted by color and fabric structure. Clothes in warm colors should absolutely not be mixed with things in cool colors. Black items are washed only with dark items.
  2. Use only components for washing printed items.
  3. Choose a temperature regime that does not exceed 35-40 °C. For machine washing, set a special washing option based on the structure of the fabric.
  4. With the manual method, washing powder is first added to cool water and then dissolved properly. Then the clothes are dipped into the soapy mixture and the product is washed. This manipulation will avoid discoloration of the fabric and prevent it from fading.
  5. Using soap or soda is strictly prohibited, as they can damage the structure of the paint.
  6. For printed items, the use of bleach is prohibited.
  7. Stain removers should be used in moderation. If dirt appears on the product, it can be removed using folk remedies. Vinegar, lemon or a weak solution of ammonia are suitable for these purposes.
  8. At the end of washing, the item must be rinsed in cool water, adding a small amount of vinegar to it. This product will fix and refresh the shade of the item, after which it will become more pleasant to the touch.

For absolutely any product, you can use the color fixing method and preserve it for a long time.

For this we need the following tools:

  • powder for washing colored laundry;
  • liquid gel “product” for delicate fabrics, for example, Perwoll;
  • salt;
  • vinegar solution (9%);
  • ammonia;
  • turpentine;
  • paper;
  • white cotton fabric;
  • iron;
  • washing container;
  • automatic machine

Shedding items can be washed using three methods. Let's look at each method separately.

Method 1. Soaking in water at room temperature and then fixing the color.

We do the following:

  1. Pour cold water into a special container.
  2. Pour finely ground salt into it, observing the proportion: 1 large spoon of the product is diluted in 1 liter of liquid.
  3. The salt must be thoroughly mixed until completely dissolved.
  4. It is necessary to soak the colored product in the resulting solution.
  5. Leave the item for 1 hour.
  6. Then the product must be washed by hand or machine using a detergent for washing colored items.
  7. The item should be rinsed thoroughly.
  8. Dry.
  9. Iron the clothes with a hot iron from the inside out.

Method 2. Wash the item separately from other items.

What do we have to do:

  1. Fill the container with cold water (on average 8 to 10 liters).
  2. Add 3 large spoons of vinegar to it.
  3. Immerse the product in the solution.
  4. Leave for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Then the vinegar solution must be drained and the product washed in any way (machine or manual).
  6. Rinse the item first in non-hot water, and then 2 times in ice water.
  7. Do not twist the product too much, but only squeeze it a little so as not to harm the structure of the fabric and the dye.
  8. You need to dry clothes on the balcony or in the courtyard of a private house.

Method 3. Rinse and fix the shade using special components and equipment.

For items made of cotton fabric that shed heavily, you will need:

  1. Pour 2 liters of cool water into a basin.
  2. Add 1 large spoon of turpentine to the liquid.
  3. Soak the product in the resulting solution for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Drain the water.
  5. Wash clothes in water whose temperature does not exceed 30 ° C, adding detergent. The component must first be whipped until foamy.
  6. Rinse clothes 2 times. At the first stage, you need to add 1 teaspoon of vinegar to the water. When rinsing again, pour the vinegar solution into clean water. You need to dilute 1 large spoon of the product in 1 liter of liquid.
  7. The item must be dried on the balcony or in the yard.

These washing methods are quite effective. They are applicable for both blue and bright red products. It doesn't matter if you took in a little more water than you should. The main condition is not to increase the dose of the fixing agent.

Rinsing

It is not enough just to choose the right washing method; you also need to take into account some of the nuances of rinsing a shedding item. If you make a mistake, you can say goodbye to the bright shade of the product forever.

To prevent this, you need to follow the useful advice of experienced housewives.

They are as follows:

  1. At the end of the washing process, the item must be left at the bottom of the bathtub.
  2. Rinse the product under running hot water from a tap or shower, first on one side and then turning it over to the other.
  3. After this, the clothes should be turned inside out and the rinsing procedure repeated.
  4. At the final stage, it is worth reducing the water temperature and rinsing the product again. To consolidate the effect, you need to add a special solution to the water. To do this, 1 tablespoon of vinegar or ammonia is diluted with 1 liter of liquid.
  5. It is necessary to dry the product outside so that the smell of the substance disappears from it.

For items that shed a lot, washing in a washing machine is acceptable. You just need to remember that the bottle of laundry detergent should be marked “for colored items.” You can add 2 large spoons of vinegar to the product. For items that fade, it is better to choose the “delicate wash” option at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

Owners of things that can fade when washed will do well to familiarize themselves with useful tips that can be adopted.

They are as follows:

  • Do not immerse the entire item in an ammonia solution; first, test the effect of the solution on an inconspicuous area of fabric or a similar piece of material;
  • for woolen products, add dry mustard powder to the detergent;
  • silk clothes should be washed in water in which bran is soaked;
  • beige, cream or brown products after rinsing can be kept for some time in tea leaves, poured with boiling water in such a proportion that the color of the liquid is not darker than the product;
  • If a green or black product has lost its original color, a solution of alum will help return it to its original color;
  • Vinegar applied to a cotton pad can remove light traces of dry deodorant on a dark product;
  • try not to twist the fading clothes too much; you should wrap them in white material and then wring them out;
  • dry the product in the courtyard or on the balcony, away from direct sunlight, so that the fabric does not fade;
  • Before hanging the item outside, turn it inside out so that the color of the item is not damaged by ultraviolet rays;
  • clothes made of delicate fabrics with combined shades should only be dried horizontally, laid out on a sheet or fabric that absorbs moisture well;
  • when ironing a product that can shed, you need to use the thermoregulation function;
  • You can’t use soda for things that shed;
  • If the product label does not indicate machine washability, wash the item by hand;
  • always read the manufacturer's washing recommendations;
  • at the stage of purchasing an item, ask the seller whether the product is capable of shedding in order to make the right choice;
  • Before washing, clothes are turned inside out and fastened with zippers or buttons;
  • before the process, do not soak the product in detergent diluted in hot water;
  • the optimal water temperature in which the product can be washed is no more than 30 degrees;
  • When using the machine method, always select a gentle wash cycle without using the spin option.

That's all the tricks. We sincerely hope that they will greatly simplify your life and allow your products not to fade when washed. Treat fading items with care, and then they will serve you for a long time.

Everyone is familiar with the situation when colored clothes lose their color when soaked and become dull. Young housewives, faced with a problem, begin to wonder how to wash the item so that it does not fade or become unusable.

How to properly prepare clothes for washing

The basic rule of washing is to sort things. Do not load everything into the drum.

  1. White linen should always be washed separately.
  2. Black can be combined with gray and dark blue.
  3. Yellow material can be washed with orange fabric, and pink item with red fabric.
  4. Blue clothes can be scrolled in the machine along with green ones.
  5. Try not to put colorful items with plain fabrics in the drum.

Take a closer look at the tag on your T-shirt or tank top. There are recommendations for caring for the item, do not violate them. Another condition on how to wash colored items so that they do not fade is that they need to be sorted by material. Linen washes well together with cotton, synthetics with silk, but a woolen jacket needs to be put in order separately from everything else.

Checking if the item is shedding

New clothes often lose their brightness the first time they are soaked. How to wash a colored item without fading? First, check the strength of the paint on the fabric. Pour cool water into a basin, immerse the product there and leave for a quarter of an hour. If the water is no longer clear, the paint must be fixed before washing.

Fill a bucket with water, dissolve half a glass of salt there and soak the colored laundry for an hour. Vinegar is sometimes used instead of salt. For 10 liters of liquid add 2 large spoons of the product.

If you received poor-quality dyed cotton, you can wash something made from it so that it does not fade by first soaking it in a special solution:

  • measure out 50 ml of turpentine;
  • add it to a five-liter basin of water;
  • stir and place the cloth in the liquid for half an hour.

Don't worry about the peculiar smell. It will disappear completely during normal washing.

Powder selection

To wash colored items, purchase the necessary powder so that they do not fade. You can use a universal product to preserve the brightness of the fabric. Such powders are usually marked color.

There will be no questions about how to wash so that nothing fades if you use liquid gels. Their structure helps strengthen color and maintain brightness. For black and colored products, remember to purchase separate powders designed for those colors.

Most importantly, do not soak faded clothes in bleach, and avoid stain removers. Poorly dyed fabric will not withstand such exposure and will lose color.

How to wash faded clothes

Don't wonder how to wash your clothes without fading. To do this, follow some recommendations.

  1. Be sure to wash in cool water. On the washing machine display, select a temperature setting of no more than 40 degrees. Good powders do a great job of removing stains and don’t require high heat. The exception is washing light-colored cotton or linen bed linen and towels.
  2. If you suspect that the material will stain the water, a reliable way to wash clothes without fading is to use special napkins to catch the dye. They are produced by Dr. Beckmann. For colored material that is prone to shedding, you need to put 3 napkins in the drum along with the clothes and start the delicate mode. The napkins will absorb the dye, and things will become clean and bright.

To prevent laundry from fading, you need to wash it, twisting it at low speed. For delicate items, it is advisable to use a laundry bag. In it, the fabric is less deformed and curled.

How to wash a jacket

Many people are concerned about how to wash a jacket that fades. It is better to put this thing in order manually.

  1. Fill a basin with cool water, pour in the required amount of washing gel, soak your outerwear and quickly wash.
  2. When rinsing, add enough vinegar to make the water sour.
  3. Try to wring out the item well and hang it on a hanger to dry.

The denim jacket can be washed in a washing machine. Turn it inside out, fasten the zippers, buttons and set the delicate mode with low temperature. Dry by laying it horizontally on a towel. If the denim gets a lot of water staining in the first few washes, it won't have much effect on the brightness of the jacket.

How to buy something that doesn't fade

To do this, you need to be careful and choose the right item when purchasing. What fabric does not fade when washed? Resistant to color loss:

  • polyester;
  • Jersey;
  • smooth knitwear.

High-quality cotton and other dense materials also shed less.

Sometimes you can tell if a fabric is fading by touching it. Crumple it in your hand. If it “crunches” a little, this indicates that excess paint was used to paint it. This means that when washing there is a high chance that the clothes will fade.

A label can say a lot. When it warns you to turn the item inside out when washing or wash it in cold water, the fabric is most likely poorly dyed.

On a note

If you purchased an item and it faded in the wash, try to return it to its original color.

  • To do this, chintz, cotton and other natural fabrics must be washed with powder and rinsed in hot water with the addition of a few tablespoons of salt.
  • Ammonia will help pink clothes. To rinse, you will need 3-4 drops of product per liter of water.
  • Blue and red fabrics return to color after contact with a soda solution. Mix a spoonful of baking soda in two liters of water and rinse the item.
  • The color of the black material can be restored in salt water.

We now know how and with what fabrics are dyed. But what if clothes, shoes or underwear dyed by the manufacturer are then dyed on your body? Most often, “shedding” is an indicator of a low-quality item. These include a set of bed linen with bright colors that “bloom” on your skin after a hot night. Or a dress that colors the underwear worn underneath it in its “own” color. Or shoes, when you take them off, you surprise your loved ones with black heels.

Let's figure out in order what to do to prevent clothes from fading.

To begin with, I would like to give some tips on choosing and caring for clothes or shoes:

  • When choosing a new outfit, wipe the item with a damp cloth, and if traces of paint remain on it, it is better to choose another company.
  • Always strictly follow the instructions on the label.
  • It is prohibited to treat dyed fabrics with soda solution.

To prevent fabric from dyeing, use products such as:

  • Salt.
  • Acetic acid.
  • Powder for hand washing.
  • Turpentine.
  • Glycerol.

If plain colored clothes “shed”, wash them in slightly salted water (2-3 tablespoons of salt). Fading items should not be washed with products containing soda. Dip the item into a solution of hand wash powder and wring it out several times. Wash each item separately without twisting. During the final rinse, add vinegar to warm water. This acid sets the dye, preventing it from shedding and staining the body or clothing.

The instructions look like this:

  • Dissolve the powder in hot water and soak the clothes for 15-20 minutes.
  • Wash by hand.
  • Pour vinegar (4-5 tablespoons) into a bowl of clean water.
  • Rinse the washed item in this solution.
  • Without wringing, wrap in a towel and hang to dry (not in the sun!).

This will not only fix the paint, but also revive the color and give the product shine.

In a vinegar solution you can not only rinse, but also wash things. First add hand washing powder to the water, then add acetic acid and start washing. After rinsing, also avoid twisting or vigorous squeezing.

To fix the color, you can also use this method:

  • Dissolve 1 spoon of turpentine in 2 liters of water.
  • Leave the item in the resulting mixture.
  • Rub lightly.
  • Rinse in the vinegar solution (see above) and then in running water.

3. Washing wool and jeans

It is recommended to wash woolen clothes that are prone to shedding using glycerin. First, you should wash the clothes by hand, then soak them in a glycerin solution (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of water). You can add a mild detergent. Rinse, gently wring out without twisting.

Jeans that stain your legs require special attention. The fact is that the further the color of denim clothing is from their native blue color, the more likely it is that these items will be dyed. If the clothes are of high quality, then the dark dye will come off from the jeans only when washed (during the first two or three washes). But there is always the possibility that you will get caught in the rain, and then you are guaranteed blue knees. If you want to save the color of faded jeans, wash them only by hand, in cool water and laundry soap. Add vinegar when rinsing. It will fix the color and protect the jeans from dirt.

4. Caring for shoes to prevent paint from peeling off

Unfortunately, even expensive branded shoes often leave marks on light-colored tights. More precisely, not the shoes themselves, but the material with which the inside of shoes or boots is covered. It happens that not only the stockings are painted, but also the legs, so much so that you can only wipe the paint off the heels with a pumice stone. The situation is so common that manufacturers produce special products to combat this:

  • Aerosol "AntiColor" from the company "Woly"
  • Aerosol "Salamander"
  • etc.

If such a defect is discovered immediately after purchasing the shoes, it may cause it to be returned to the store. At home, try fixing the dye with hairspray. Spray the inside of the shoes, let the polish dry, and then wipe the inside of the shoes with flannel. However, this procedure cannot guarantee a 100% result.

We can only remind you once again how important it is to check the durability of the paint of shoes or clothing before purchasing.

We often become attached to items of clothing and try to do everything we can to make them last as long as possible. But what to do if the thing starts to shed? A number of other questions arise:

  1. How to keep the original color longer?
  2. How to wash things without fading?
  3. What to do if clothes are dyed?
  4. How to wash a heavily shedding item?
  5. What to do to prevent clothes from being dyed?

Let's try to figure out how to wash things correctly so that they remain of high quality.

How to wash so that the fabric does not dye

You can understand whether a material is painted or not already during the first treatment. The fact is that fabric can share its color every time it comes into contact with water.

To prevent items of clothing from shedding so much and their color from changing, you can use the following means:

  • Washing powder for hand washing;
  • Vinegar;
  • Salt.

In addition, you will need a washing machine and any suitable container for soaking.

How to wash without dyeing things

Experienced housewives say that it is necessary to wash things that are dyed only separately. If you are very attached to your favorite item, you need to do everything to preserve its shade for as long as possible. Let's look at the most popular washing methods using the products listed above.

How to wash things so they don't fade. First method

If you know that the fabric does not dye very much, try to remove the excess dye. The procedure is as follows:

  • Soak the item in warm water;
  • Rinse under running water;
  • Soak again for about 40 minutes;
  • Rinse the fabric under the tap.

The procedure should be repeated until the excess paint is completely washed off. At the last stage, it is recommended to wash the item in a machine with washing powder.

What to do to prevent the item from fading. Second method

If after the manipulations described above nothing has changed, you need to use a more radical method. A natural material such as salt will help remove dirt and at the same time retain color.

The step-by-step instructions for this method are as follows:

  • Pour warm water into the container (the temperature should be slightly higher than room temperature);
  • Add a handful of powder and one glass of salt;
  • Soak the item for half an hour;
  • Hand wash the item;
  • Rinse in running water.

Note that this method is effective only in relation to plain colored products.

What to do if the item is painted. Third method

This method uses vinegar. The dye can be fixed to the fabric using acetic acid.
To implement this, do the following:

  • Take the container deeper;
  • Pour hot water (up to 40 degrees), add powder;
  • Soak the item for twenty minutes;
  • Wash by hand;
  • Prepare a vinegar solution (5 tablespoons of vinegar per bucket of water);
  • Rinse the item of clothing in the prepared solution;
  • Without twisting, hang to dry.

What to do to prevent things from being painted. Fourth method

Vinegar is also used for this method. The difference from the previous option is that the item is washed with a vinegar solution, rather than rinsed.

The work stages look like this:

  • Pour 4 liters of warm water into a deep container;
  • Add 2 tablespoons of powder;
  • Add 3 tablespoons of vinegar to the container;
  • Immerse the clothes in the container, rub lightly;
  • Rinse in running, warm water;
  • Hang to dry, no need to twist.

How to properly rinse faded items

We all know that the quality and safety of clothes depend on proper rinsing. This step-by-step instruction will help you do everything correctly:

  • Place the item of clothing after washing on the bottom of the bathtub;
  • Turn on the shower and spray with strong pressure of hot water;
  • Repeat the procedure, turning the item over to the other side;
  • Turn the clothes inside out and do the same manipulations using water at room temperature.

After this, it is advisable to repeat the procedure at a lower water temperature.

How to wash faded clothes in a washing machine?

You can’t put everything in the washing machine without going through it. With the right approach, you should separate colored and plain items.

  1. Before using the machine, soak the product in a vinegar solution:
    • 3 tablespoons of acetic acid;
    • 2 tablespoons of powder;
    • 4 liters of warm water.
  2. The temperature in the machine should not exceed 40 degrees;
  3. Turn the item inside out before washing it;
  4. Turn on “No Spin Mode” on your device;
  5. After washing in the machine, clothes must be hung up, gently smoothed with your hands, without twisting;
  6. It is necessary to hang the laundry from the wrong side; a bowl is placed under the bottom to collect excess liquid.

  • Never treat dyeing materials with soda;
  • Some clothing items cannot be washed in a washing machine;
  • If you are washing an item for the first time, study the label carefully. All tips for caring for the fabric are usually written directly on it;
  • When choosing items of clothing, you need to clarify whether the item changes color or not. To do this, just carefully rub a piece of the selected product with a damp cloth. If the material becomes colored, everything will become obvious.

As you can see, there are many tips that will help you maintain the original color of your favorite clothes. The main thing is to follow the instructions and carefully study the information on the label before putting it in the washing machine.
