How to paint eggs to make them marbled. How to paint eggs for Easter: seven most unusual ways. Completely safe way

Climax

Marble eggs for Easter are painted using onion peels and regular green paint. The eggs turn out beautifully, they look like real stones of the correct shape. Greens and onions are affordable, harmless dyes that can be used to achieve excellent results. But any process has its own characteristics. I strongly do not recommend painting with green paint in enamel dishes. You will have to say goodbye to such a pan for a long time, since the brilliant green tint is very difficult to wash off. Stainless steel utensils or an old pan that should be thrown away are suitable for these purposes.

  • Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients for marble eggs for Easter

  • 1 dozen white chicken eggs;
  • 0.5 l red onion peel;
  • 0.5 l of onion peel;
  • a sheet of writing paper;
  • 1 bottle of brilliant green (diamond green);
  • 0.5 m of gauze or mesh fabric;
  • elastic bands;
  • a stainless steel saucepan or an old saucepan;
  • medical gloves;
  • olive oil.

Method for preparing marble eggs for Easter

Red onion skins are a must. Don't expect it to turn the shells dark purple. Despite the obvious difference in onion color, purple peels are dark brown, about only two shades darker than yellow.

So, take the scissors and finely trim the red onion.

Next, we strip the yellow onion and also finely chop its skin. If you stock up on husks in advance, then to color a dozen eggs you will need a half-liter jar of each color, filled not very tightly.

Cut approximately half a sheet of writing paper into small squares and thin strips. The more varied the pieces of paper are, the more interesting the result.

Mix the cuts. The amount of chopped paper should be 2-3 times less than the husk. If you take more, the eggs will turn out pale, with a lot of white spots.

Wash raw eggs under the tap, rubbing the shells with the abrasive side of a washcloth to remove prints and dirt.

We place the wet eggs in a plate with slices and completely coat them in this improvised breading.

Cut the required number of squares from gauze or mesh fabric. Place the egg in the center of the gauze square, tighten the edges with an elastic band or tie it with thread.

Using your fingers, through the fabric, distribute the slices over the shell inside the gauze bag so that there are no large unfilled spots left.

If the cut rolls up in one place, soak the egg in a cloth with cold water.

Place the packed eggs in a stainless steel saucepan and fill with cold water.

Pour about half a bottle of brilliant green into the saucepan, the amount of which directly depends on the intensity of the color you want to achieve. In general, the more, the greener.

Place the saucepan on the fire, bring to a boil, cook for 15 minutes over moderate heat.

Carefully pour off the green boiling water and rinse the packaged eggs with cold water until they cool.

Then we put on gloves, remove the gauze, remove paper particles, and rinse with running water.

To make the testicles shine like polished marble, lubricate the shells with a drop of thick olive oil.

Once you've got those cute painted eggs, unfortunately, there are still some problems left in the form of a dirty sink and a green pan. You can quickly get rid of the green paint using regular paint thinner. Wipe the inside of the pan with a cloth soaked in solvent and wash with soap and water.

Marble eggs for Easter, painted with onion skins and regular green paint, are ready. Happy holiday to you!

The tradition of dyeing eggs has come to us since ancient times. And since then, every year on the bright spring holiday of Easter, we do not forget about it, and create small creative masterpieces with our own hands. Just as we don’t forget to cook and bake on these significant days of spring.

In my opinion, a wonderful tradition and a wonderful holiday! Day of the Resurrection of Christ! The day of spring awakening, the beginning of something new and beautiful! And for the holiday it is customary to prepare all sorts of treats, treat them to guests, and treat yourself.

And today we will paint eggs together with you. Our task is to learn how to do this in a variety of ways. And the people have accumulated a lot of such methods. Every housewife probably has her own favorite, which she uses from year to year. But each of us has a moment when we want to try something new.

And today’s article is just for such a case. I will share with you the methods that I have managed to accumulate, as well as those that I have recently learned myself. In any case, there will be many ways, and I think that each of you will choose something to your liking. After all, painting them with your own hands is always akin to art.

After all, Orthodox Easter is coming very soon. We will all go to each other’s houses with Easter cakes and painted eggs and “fight” with them. And to the statement: “Christ is Risen!”, receive the answer: “Truly He is Risen!” And together we will rejoice at the arrival of spring, the revival of nature, sunshine and warmth. To rejoice as if it were some kind of miracle, which was once the miracle of the resurrection of Christ.

Easter eggs are the basis and decoration of any table. Nowadays it is not difficult to decorate them beautifully; stores sell a large number of different dyes, materials for blending, decoration and other decoration.

For those who want to show their creativity, there are many interesting ways of design. The main requirement for this is that the painted samples should not be dark or gloomy. Spring colors are welcome, red and all its shades are a must. And for the rest - as knowledge tells you, and what your imagination allows.

There are several basic rules for proper coloring.

  • For better and more uniform coloring, they must be washed and degreased. You can wash it with soap and degrease it with alcohol.
  • you need to cook them only when they have been at room temperature for some time
  • time. Then, when heating them in hot water, there will be no sudden temperature change, and the shell will remain intact
  • It is better to cook them with the addition of salt, about one tablespoon per 1-1.2 glasses of water
  • In order for the boiled and painted samples to have a beautiful festive look, they must be dried and wiped with a cloth dipped in vegetable oil. Then polish them thoroughly with a dry cotton cloth. This will make them shiny and glossy.

To decorate Easter eggs, depending on the method of coloring, there are the following concepts:

- dyes - painted in one color

specks - painted in the main color, but they have inclusions in the form of specks, spots or stripes of a different color

- drapanki - tinted in one color, but the pattern on them is scratched out by hand

Easter eggs - have an ornamental or plot design, hand-painted with paints or painted in a special way.

So how can you beautifully design this Easter symbol and show your creativity?

Painting in onion skins

The most popular coloring method is using onion peels. Our great-grandmothers used this method of coloring, and probably their great-grandmothers too. This is a very simple and affordable method that allows you to achieve a range of colors from light yellow to dark brown. The more husks you take for coloring, the darker the color you will get. The intensity of the coloring also makes its own adjustments to the shade.

And if you use various devices, you can get not only the intended color, but also a pattern.

Dyeing in onion skins

1. Place the husks in a saucepan and add water. Cook it over low heat for 30-40 minutes.

2. Turn off the heat, cover with a lid and leave to steep for about 1 hour.

3. Remove the eggs from the refrigerator in advance and let them sit at room temperature for 2 hours.

4. Strain the broth, freeing it from the husk, and add salt. Place eggs in it and cook for 7-10 minutes.

5. Remove them with a spoon and cool them in running cold water.

6. To obtain a more saturated color, they can be returned to the infusion of the husks and kept there until the desired color.

7. Dry and grease with gauze soaked in vegetable oil.

To obtain a rich red-brown color, you need to take the peels of 8-10 onions and fill them with two glasses of water.

There are different types of onions, and their skins come in different colors from light yellow to dark brown. Depending on this, you can also get different colors.

Using this you can color your samples in a very beautiful way.

Marble painting method

1. Prepare husks of different colors, cut them randomly into various geometric shapes, no more than 1 cm in size. Cut plain paper in the same way.

2. Mix the husks and paper.

3. Moisten eggs at room temperature with water and roll in the husks and paper.

4. Prepare a nylon stocking or gauze in advance. Cut it into squares 15 x 15 cm, so that you can put the product to be painted in them.

5. Put them in gauze. Tie the edges of the gauze tightly or secure with threads so that the husk fits snugly against the walls of the shell. The denser the pattern, the clearer the pattern.

6. Place the remaining husks in a saucepan, fill it with water and add 1-2 tablespoons of salt. Place eggs in a saucepan, put on heat, and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and cook for 35-40 minutes.

7. Take them out with a spoon and place them under running cold water. Remove the nylon.

8. Dry and grease with gauze soaked in vegetable oil.

Marble dyeing method using onion peels and brilliant green

1. Prepare onion skins. If you have peels of different colors, this will give the best “marbling” effect. Chop the husks as finely as possible. There should be a lot of husks.

2. Moisten the main product at room temperature with water and cover generously with husk. At first, you can simply roll them in, and then apply them with your hands.

3. Wrap it very tightly with gauze or nylon, tie the ends with thread.

4. Pour a glass of water into the pan, add a tablespoon of salt and pour in a bottle of brilliant green.

5. Place eggs with shells in a saucepan. They must be completely hidden under water. If there is not enough water, you can add it.

6. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Cook for 7-10 minutes.

7. Rinse under running water. Then remove the gauze and rinse again.

8. Dry and grease with gauze and sunflower oil. Polish and place on a plate.

I really like this method and use it often. And especially for you, we made a video on this topic, which we are happy to offer you for viewing.

I tried to tell and show everything in great detail so that anyone who takes on this task will get only an excellent result.

In onion peel with a pattern

An interesting pattern can be obtained using the same onion skins and rice. We will get so-called specks. How to do it?

1. Moisten eggs at room temperature with water.

2. Apply dry rice to them and wrap tightly with nylon or gauze, as in the previous version.

3. Place the onion skins in a saucepan, add water and salt. Place the prepared samples in it, put it on the fire, and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and cook for 35-40 minutes.

4. Take them out with a spoon and place them under running cold water. Remove the nylon.

5. Dry and grease with gauze soaked in vegetable oil.

In onion peel with lace pattern

Drawings can be made using various plants, scrap materials or lace fabric. For example, people are very fond of such designs as twigs and leaves.

1. Prepare sprigs of dill, parsley leaves, small leaves from other plants and blades of grass. You can make cut out figures from paper. The lace pattern turns out very beautiful. This painting technique also uses adhesive tape. Various figures are cut out and glued. Or the design is applied using wax.

2. Moisten eggs at room temperature with water.

3. In random order, as your imagination dictates, apply a drawing using the prepared material.

4. Wrap them tightly with nylon or gauze.

5. Place onion peels in a saucepan, fill it with water and add 1-2 tbsp. spoons of salt. Place eggs in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and cook for 35-40 minutes.

6. Remove them with a spoon and place under running cold water. Remove the nylon.

7. Dry and grease with gauze soaked in vegetable oil.

Place on a plate and place on the table.

In onion peel with a pattern

Patterns on an egg can be created in several ways.

1. For example, by wrapping several rubber bands around it for money. You will get strips of different widths. And if you change the position of the rubber bands and alternately paint the surface with dyes of different colors, you will get multi-colored stripes. You need to paint from light to dark tone.

2. You can wind the threads in the same way. And then dip them into the dye solution.

3. Or stick long narrow strips of tape.

4. Beautiful patterns are obtained by wrapping the shell with lace and then holding it in an onion solution.

How to dye eggs with natural dyes

It is believed that using natural dyes is better than artificial ones. And you don’t even have to explain why. The word “natural” says it all. And although I do not believe that artificial food colors are harmful to eat, if I have to choose between them, I always choose natural ones.

As you know, many plants, fruits and vegetables have a natural pigment that easily colors some things. And at all times people have used this effect.

Let's look at what they are and how you can use them to achieve a more saturated color.

  • Onion peel. When dyed, it gives a rich palette from pale yellow to a beautiful, rich dark brown color. We discussed in detail how to paint above.
  • Beetroot juice. Thanks to it, you can get a color from pale pink to burgundy.

To dye this color, grate the beets, add water and boil for 20-30 minutes. Strain the resulting broth, add a few tablespoons of vinegar and a little salt. Then let it cool a little and place the eggs in it. Cook for 10 - 15 minutes, periodically checking the color. Then let it brew.

  • Spinach. When used, a bright, rich green color is obtained. We prepare a decoction in the same way and boil eggs in it.

To prepare the infusion, you just need to boil the chopped spinach for 30-40 minutes. Then place the samples in a slightly cooled infusion.

  • Birch leaves. Thanks to the decoction and infusion of either fresh or dry birch leaves, you can also get a beautiful green color.

Pour boiling water over them, let them simmer over low heat until the solution becomes rich in color, then turn off the heat and leave the leaves in the water for another 30 minutes. Then dip the samples prepared for painting into the cooled solution and cook after boiling for 10 minutes.

  • Nettle. It will also give a green color when dyed.
  • Lemon. Thanks to the infusion of lemon peel, you can get different shades of yellow.
  • Chamomile. Will give beautiful and very delicate shades of yellow.
  • Turmeric and saffron. Will give a wonderful sunny orange color.
  • Orange. Its crusts, infused in a decoction, will give a magnificent golden-orange color.
  • Red cabbage. When preparing a decoction and dyeing eggs it will give a blue color.
  • Coffee. Its infusion will give warm beige shades.

You can also color using raspberry juice, blueberries, blueberries, blackberries, cranberries. Or try it in infused black tea.

For all of the above natural dyes, one color scheme applies. Here she is.

Universal coloring method for all natural dyes

1. Pour cold water into a saucepan, add 1 tbsp. a spoonful of vinegar. Place the product there, which will be a natural dye.

2. Bring to a boil, turn off the heat, cover with a lid and let brew for 30-40 minutes.

3. Place eggs at room temperature into the cooled broth. Bring to a boil over low heat. Cook for 15-30 minutes until desired color.

4. Remove them with a spoon and cool under running water.

5. If you want to achieve a more intense color, then put them back into the decoction. Leave for a longer time, maybe even overnight.

The fact is that natural pigments are less active, and therefore dyeing takes longer than usual.

6. Then dry and grease with vegetable oil.

Then place on a plate or in a basket and serve.

How to dye eggs with dyes at home

You can also paint eggs at home using paint that is sold in the store. Now you can buy it for every taste. Among the huge offer you can find a palette of only 4 colors, or you can purchase it with a richer range of colors. I've seen packages with flowers in up to 15 different shades.

As a rule, all packages contain instructions for use. You should read it carefully and follow the instructions provided. Basically the recommendations are:

  • The paint should be diluted in a small amount of water immediately before use.
  • dilute it in small portions, since under the influence of light and air it quickly loses its properties
  • do not store after use
  • When interacting with it, use rubber gloves to avoid staining the skin of your hands.

By following the instructions, you will receive paints of various colors. If you keep the eggs in the dye for less time, the color will be more delicate, and if longer, it will be more saturated.

But with such dyes you can also decorate Easter eggs in a very original way!

Marble method without greenery

For this method you need to have food coloring.

1. First you need to boil and then paint the eggs in bright light colors. Good results come from red, yellow and orange.

2. Then you should dry them.

3. Now we dilute dark colors with water - blue, green, purple. Each color is in a separate container.

4. Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil to each color. Run a toothpick through the oil to create oil tracks. The more there are, the better.

5. Dip each prepared specimen into a dark color only once. Use gloves for this. Then dry and grease with vegetable oil.

There are other, no less interesting and creative ways to decorate Easter eggs. From the simplest decoration with beads, ribbons, fabrics to the famous Faberge eggs. Some of them are made for eating, and some for admiring.

And some for both. And let's look at just such interesting ways.

How to paint eggs in an interesting way

If you use several colored dyes and do not dip the egg completely into them, but only half, or 1/3, then you can apply several layers of paint. And this way you can set absolutely any colors, including rainbow ones.

The only thing to remember is that the paint must be allowed to dry after each applied layer.

To do this, you need to prepare either a grate or some kind of stand, on which we will lay out the partially painted products.

Since this process is not fast, you need to stock up on time and patience, but the result will be simply excellent. And everyone will certainly ask how you achieved such a wonderful and original result.

Or you can use the following method to obtain a rainbow color.

Everything turns out very beautifully, quite simply and quickly!

And you must agree, any housewife would want to have such beauty on the table!

Seven original coloring methods

1. In order to get patterns from stripes of white and color that combine with each other, you can stick thin strips of tape on the eggs in a random order. After finishing the painting process and cooling, remove the tape and beautiful geometric patterns will appear to our attention.

2. Thinner strips can be obtained by using rubber bands for money, as we did when dyeing with onion skins.

3. And when sticking rice, we get bright colorful speckles. (the method is also described for coloring with onion skins)

4. Beautiful specks can be easily obtained with a toothbrush. To do this, you must first set the basic tone, and then use a brush to spray drops on them. This procedure can leave a lot of splashes on the table, so take care of this in advance and cover it with napkins.

5. And if you melt the wax and draw patterns or some kind of design on the shell, and then dip them in the dye, you can get magnificent beautiful samples that will decorate any holiday table.

It is important here that the paint is not hot, otherwise the wax will melt and the drawing will be blurred or completely invisible.

6. And the next method has recently become very popular. This is also an option for marbling and newspaper is used as items to help with this. It breaks into small pieces. After which the eggs are placed in a piece of nylon, and newspaper is poured inside, like onion skins. Then the nylon needs to be tied tightly and left to cook.

After they are cooked, cool them as usual and then remove the nylon and remove the paper. The letters of the newspaper text will remain on the shell.

The method is effective, but I don’t use it, as I don’t really want to cook a food product with printing ink.

7. Samples with a volumetric, so-called 3D effect look very nice. This is also not difficult to do. As usual, we color it, either with natural or artificial food coloring, and dry it. Meanwhile, take 200 - 250 grams of powdered sugar and mix it with plain water until it becomes mushy. Place the sugar mass in a pastry syringe and apply beautiful three-dimensional patterns.

It turns out just great.

Decoupage with napkins

Recently, this technique has become incredibly popular in various fields of creativity. She didn't ignore Easter crafts either.

When you watch such a video, you immediately want to leave everything you’re doing and take up such a wonderful form of creativity as decoupage.

The only thing I would like to draw your attention to is: choose napkins with a small pattern that suits the occasion, and then success is guaranteed. Such beauties usually sell like hot cakes.

By the way, this recipe uses egg white as glue. Gelatin can also be used. To do this, fill it with a small amount of water, let it swell slightly, then drain off the excess water. Then heat it and allow it to completely dissolve. The glue is ready. Arm yourself with a brush, take a suitable napkin and create beauty.

Marble staining with nail polish

Another interesting way to paint using multi-colored nail polishes. The technique of water manicure is used.

1. Boil white eggs.

2. Pour water at room temperature into a bowl. Drip nail polish into it. You can use one, two or more colors.

3. When using several colors, they should be dripped one by one into the center.

4. Using varnish, use a toothpick to draw designs in the form of abstractions, lines, cobwebs or flowers.

5. Put on gloves, take a sample and dip it first on one side, then on the other. Let dry.

This method is interesting both in terms of design and in terms of creativity. The copies are original and beautiful. But remember that varnish is a chemical compound, not a food coloring. Therefore, it may make sense to use the other methods listed above.

Or you can simply use the same nail polish to draw shapes on the shell. There is also room for your imagination to run wild.

How to dye eggs in fabric

If you know that you have a fabric that has an unstable color, and in simple terms, it fades, then by wrapping an egg in it, you can dye it. For this purpose, you need to have samples with a white shell.

1. Wrap the prepared sample tightly in a shedding cloth. Tie the edges with thread.

2. Place it in cold water, add salt, bring to a boil. Cook for 10 minutes.

3. Drain the hot water and fill the finished product with cold water. When it cools down, remove the cloth. Dry and grease with vegetable oil.

Lace can be used in the same way. In this case, a beautiful and original lace pattern will appear on the surface to be painted.

Why are eggs painted for Easter?

Many people ask the question: “Why should they be painted for Easter?” The answer to this question should be sought back in the prehistoric period.

At all times, eggs have been given great importance in absolutely all cultures. It was considered a symbol of rebirth, the spring Sun, which carries light, warmth, Life in all its manifestations, deliverance from winter shackles and darkness. Transition from non-existence to existence.

It was presented as gifts to the pagan ancient gods, and later they began to give it to their loved ones and friends. It is known that already in Ancient Egypt there was a tradition of dyeing eggs. This was done during the Nile flood. This event was the most important in the life of the people, because the river brought life to people. Therefore, they waited for him every year, like some kind of miracle. And when the spill happened, there were great celebrations. Painted eggs were exchanged and hung in temples and homes.

In the Indian Vedas, the god Brahma hatched from the Golden Egg.

In the East, there are legends that say that the world originated from Chaos, which was located in a huge egg. Therefore, to this day they attach great importance to it there.

In ancient burials of completely different cultures, eggs are found, both natural and made from different materials. There are also painted ones among them. All the mythologies of the world keep legends associated with it as a symbol of life, renewal, the source of origin of everything that exists in this world.

They are also one of the main attributes of Christian Easter. According to ancient church tradition, the first Easter egg was presented by Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene to the Roman Emperor Tiberius. Krashenki are considered in Christian culture to be a symbol of the resurrection of Christ. Russian folk legends tell that at the moment of the Resurrection of Christ, the stones on Calvary turned into red eggs.

By the way, everyone probably knows that they can be left until next year, using them in the treatment of various diseases, getting rid of the evil eye and damage. I always leave one, the most beautiful, untouched. And although we are not treated with its help, much less remove the damage, it lies in our house until next Easter. This is a custom passed down from my grandmother.

Well, that's probably all!

Today I tried to tell you as fully as possible about the methods of coloring Easter eggs. Knowing these basic methods, and including imagination, based on them, you can come up with other, no less interesting methods.

And now I want to wish you peace, prosperity, goodness! And also warmth, light, life without disease and sadness! If you wish all this on the eve or day of Easter, and eat a couple of painted Easter eggs, then everything will certainly come true!

Good health to everyone! And also Happy Easter to you! Christ is Risen!!!

With your own hands using various techniques. Some of them are designed for eating, while others are for admiring.

And when you know so many ways, you always want to do one thing, and another, and a third before the holiday comes... But this is impossible! You need to choose one, or two, or at most three options.

One of my favorite ways is to make marble paints. And this is no coincidence. When you see such beauty for the first time, you are simply speechless. And you can’t even understand how this happens?! Then, having found the recipe, you begin to paint, and it is the turn of all your family, relatives and friends to marvel at the beauty.

And if you look at it all, the method is quite simple. There is nothing complicated about it. In addition, a big plus is that you don’t have to buy dyes in the store. For this purpose, any home always has everything. Namely, you need nothing at all: in one case, only onion skins, and in the other, also some green stuff.

Although there are, of course, alternative methods of coloring. And we will try to consider all of them today.

Many of my girlfriends and friends, seeing marble paints on my table, invariably ask for the recipe. When they find out what's what, they are always surprised that everything is so simple. So I decided to write recipes today so that everyone can paint like this. And to make everything clear, we also made a video.

Yes, yes, we have something new. Now we film many recipes. For your comfort. So read the recipes and watch the videos. And I will be glad if you subscribe to the channel.

We will need:

  • eggs – 6 pcs.
  • brilliant green – 10 ml
  • onion peel
  • salt – 1 tbsp. spoon
  • gauze or nylon
  • threads

And also prepare gloves so that you don’t get your hands dirty during the cooking process. And also an old saucepan in which we will paint.

Preparation:

1. Remove eggs from the refrigerator in advance. They must cool at room temperature so that the shell does not burst due to a sudden change in temperature during cooking.

For all methods, use a white-shelled base product. In this case, the drawing will be clearer and more visible.

2. Prepare onion skins. To get a richer color, you need to have it in different colors. Use dry yellow and red onion skins. And in yellow, try to add different shades, even dark brown.

Start preparing the husks ahead of time. When peeling onions, simply put them in a bag. This will give you a different color, and it will also dry well. And as a result it will give an even more saturated color.

3. Now our task is to grind it as finely as possible. This usually takes quite a lot of time. There is one way to do this quite quickly.

Simply place all the dry substance in a deep bowl and use the tips of scissors to cut it directly into the bowl. Let me remind you that the smaller you cut, the richer the marble pattern will turn out. The required size should ideally be 0.5 - 0.7 cm.

As you can see, we ended up with a fine mixture of different colors, which is very good.

4. Cut gauze or nylon into squares in such a way as to place the workpiece in them and tie them in a knot. We will need them exactly according to the number of the main ingredient.

If you take nylon, the color will be more even and uniform. If you use gauze, then in addition to the main pattern, a fine mesh will also be imprinted from it. But it will not be superfluous, and on the contrary, it will add an additional pattern and design.

5. Soak the egg in water. Then place in the husk and roll in it so that it tightly adheres to the shell.

6. Place it on cheesecloth. If in your opinion the husk was not enough, then you can sprinkle a little more on top.

7. Gather the ends of the gauze from above, rotating the bag in one direction and forming a tourniquet. Pull it tightly and tie it with threads. You can simply wrap them around the gauze several times so that it does not unwind during cooking.

The husk should fit tightly to the shell so that there is absolutely no movement. Otherwise, the drawing will turn out blurry.

8. Cut off the excess ends so that they do not take on the paint, and place our workpiece in a pan.

As for the pan. Take her old one so that you don’t feel sorry for it. Zelenka gives a fairly durable color. Of course, you can wash it later, but not with all means. Therefore, it is better to play it safe.

9. Do the same with the remaining eggs. Today I will paint 6 pieces. You can paint more at once. But if there are more than a dozen of them, then take two bottles of brilliant green, that is, 20 mg. And more onion skins. For such a number of colors you will need more water. This means that from one bottle of greenery the color will not be as bright as we would like.

10. Pour room temperature water into the pan. Cold - do not pour. Be aware of temperature differences. And also add salt, it will protect the shell from cracking.

Pour in enough water to just cover our pieces. The less water, the brighter the color.

11. Put on fire, put on gloves and immediately pour out all the green stuff. Set heat to medium and bring water to a boil. After this, cook for 7 - 8 minutes. This time is quite enough for our product to cook until ready, and also for the shell to acquire a marble color.

12. Drain the water, then place the pan under running water and wait until it turns light.

13. Now the “dirtiest” work. Be sure to wear gloves for her. It is necessary to cut off the tied end of the gauze and remove the husk from the shell. Then rinse each dye again under running water and place it on a plate to dry.

You always unfold each of them with bated breath. After all, everywhere there is a different intricate pattern, unlike any other. And somewhere a picture is even drawn. Overall great! What can I say?

14. When our paints are dry, they need to be wiped with oil. This will make them even more beautiful. They will sparkle, glow, and become truly festive and beautiful.

At first, the oil will be visible on the shell, but over time, it will be absorbed and will no longer leave marks on your hands when you clean the shell.

This is such a simple and at the same time beautiful way of coloring. Looking at the result, I would like to say that “everything ingenious is simple.”

Video on how to paint eggs with brilliant green and peel

And here is the promised video. It explains and shows everything in detail. The whole process resembles some kind of alchemical magic. As a result, we get as many as 6 marble “philosophical” eggs. Well, isn't this a miracle!

It must also be said that the whole process is very exciting, it is truly creative. You don't notice how time flies.

That's the whole recipe.

And you see that in the headband on the central egg there is a figurine of a horse imprinted, similar to an ancient rock carving or petroglyph. We took this as a great sign. What do you think it could mean?

How to make marble eggs - the easiest way

If we figured out the first recipe, then coloring the main Easter symbol this way will be even easier and simpler. Essentially the recipe is the same. But the ingredients only contain green stuff. Therefore, I will not describe it in detail, but will only focus on the most basic points.

The method involves coloring with onion skins.

We will need:

  • onion peel
  • salt – 1 – 2 tbsp. spoons
  • gauze or nylon
  • threads

Preparation:

1. Cut the onion peel into small pieces. Let me remind you that the most effective coloring can be achieved when the dry onion skin has a variety of colors.

For additional effect, you can add finely chopped paper to this mixture.

2. “Bathe” eggs at room temperature in water and roll in prepared onion dressing.

3. Place them in this form on gauze or nylon cut into squares. Then wind the ends into a bundle and tie tightly with thread, or simply wrap it in several circles so that nothing falls apart.

4. Place them in a saucepan, add water at room temperature and add the remaining husks. And also don’t forget to add salt so that the shell remains intact and unharmed.

5. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Cook over low heat for 35 - 40 minutes.

6. Drain the hot water and place the contents under cold running water. Then release the marble dyes from the gauze and husks, and rinse again.

7. Let the water drain and dry. Then brush with oil to further decorate our Easter treat.

Place on a plate and wait for the holiday.

Beautiful marble paints with your own hands

This is another way to get marbled coloring, but with a different pattern. We will use onion peels and rice for this.

We will need:

  • onion peel
  • salt 1 - 2 tbsp. spoons
  • nylon or gauze
  • threads

Preparation:

1. Place rice in a flat bowl. Depending on what shape of rice you choose, this is the pattern you will get.

2. Soak eggs at room temperature in water and roll in rice. It should stick its grains around the white shell.

3. Place the resulting workpiece on gauze or nylon, pre-cut into squares of the required size. And, having connected the ends, roll them into a rope very tightly, wrap them or tie them with threads.

4. Place all the pieces prepared in this way into the pan. Add onion peels. There is no need to cut it.

Pour water at room temperature and place over medium heat. Yes, and don’t forget to add salt. Thanks to her, the shell should remain intact.

5. Bring to a boil and then cook for 35 - 40 minutes.

6. Then drain the water and rinse under running water. Remove the cheesecloth and rice and rinse again.

When the paints are dry, they can be greased with oil.

The same method can be applied using smaller grains, such as millet. But in this case, the result will no longer be marble paints, but mottled speckles. But the method is also good!

If you want, you can paint it this way.

Moreover, you can use not only husks for this, but also food coloring. However, the same as when dyeing with rice.

Either way you can get great results.

How to paint eggs for Easter without green paint

It is not difficult to guess that the methods proposed above can also be used when coloring with colored food dyes. You can cut white paper very finely and roll an egg soaked in water in it. Then place it in a nylon and tie it. Then paint it using dyes of different colors. You will get colored marble paints.

But I want to offer one more method, which will differ from those proposed above both in the method of execution and in obtaining the result.

We will need:

  • food colors light and dark colors
  • vegetable oil

Preparation:

1. Color eggs at room temperature using food coloring in light shades of colors. This should be done in accordance with the instructions on the package. Ideal colors include yellow, all light shades of pink, orange, pale blue and light green.

2. Rinse them with cold water and let dry.

3. Dilute dark colors with water. They should be in sharp contrast to light shades. These are purple, dark blue, dark green, burgundy and so on. One color must be diluted in each separate container.

4. Pour 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil into each dark color. Now the fun begins. We will use a toothpick to draw different paths, curls and circles on the liquid with oil. You don't have to be shy about creativity. The more design you apply here, the more clearly it will appear on the paint.

5. Now you should definitely wear rubber gloves. Take a colored light egg and in one clear movement simply dip it into the chosen dark paint.

Place on a wire rack and let dry. Then wipe with vegetable oil. You can use a cotton pad for this.

And here is another chic design, where gold food paint is applied to the main background using the method suggested above. The design turned out great.

This is another beautiful and impressive way to decorate a colorful treat for the holiday.

Beautiful Easter eggs - an original way

There is another way in which you can achieve the desired effect. But in this case, the marble effect will appear not on the shell, but on the protein itself.

It's pretty simple. Most likely, everyone is familiar with this picture: when you color eggs using any of the methods, and it cracks, a colored line remains on the white. So you don’t have to wait for it to crack. And apply cracks in advance. But this must be done, of course, on a cooked product.

And since the dye will penetrate inside and color the protein, it means it needs to be made more “tasty” than onion skins.

We will need:

  • boiled eggs
  • black tea bags
  • soy sauce
  • cinnamon
  • star anise or anise

Preparation:

1. Make cracks in the pre-cooked eggs in a loose pattern. Make sure that the shell does not fall off, otherwise the effect will be lost. It should stick to the inner film.

2. Place them in a saucepan with water at room temperature and bring to a boil.

3. Place 5 black tea bags, two tablespoons of soy sauce, two cinnamon sticks and one star anise bud (or you can take another fragrant seasoning) into hot water. This amount is given for approximately 6 - 7 eggs.

4. Bring to a boil and cook for 35 minutes. Then cool in cold water and dry.

Serve already peeled.

The same effect can be achieved by coloring the product with food or natural dyes.

As you can see from the photo, the effect is also magnificent.

How to make marble staining without brilliant green and onion skins

This method differs from the previous ones in that the coloring uses a product of chemical origin, namely nail polish.

Although I do not welcome this method at all, but since it exists, it means that it cannot be ignored. Therefore, I will describe it very briefly, as they say for information.

1. Boil white eggs and cool.

2. Pour some water into a bowl that you don’t mind, or better yet, into an unnecessary jar. Drip nail polish into it. You can use only one color, or you can use several different ones.

If you take several flowers, then drip them one by one into the center, one on top of the other.

3. Then take a toothpick and draw streaks, paths, wavy lines and circles on the water. Give free rein to your imagination and don’t think too much about what you will succeed. The more lines and shapes, the better.

4. Be sure to wear gloves for the next procedure. Take the egg by both ends, and carefully dip one of the sides into the resulting picture with varnish.

Then turn it over to the other side and repeat the procedure. Now he needs to dry out. And basically, that's all. The result is colorful marble stains.

And at the end of the article I want to tell you where this tradition of coloring eggs came from. They have been painted since ancient times and in different cultures. Because they believed that they were the basis of the foundations, and everything came from their depths.

And in Christian culture, there is a legend that tells that at the moment of the Resurrection of Christ, the stones on Calvary mysteriously turned red. Therefore, eggs are considered a symbol of the Resurrection of the Lord. And therefore it is customary to paint them to this day on one of the main Christian holidays -.

I hope you find today's selection useful for this holiday.

Congratulations on the upcoming holiday! And I wish you all the best!

Easter is the most wonderful holiday. An integral part of the fragrant Easter cake on the festive table are multi-colored eggs. It is a good omen to exchange them or treat them, because they are wishes for goodness and prosperity.

Modern craftswomen have come up with many of the most extraordinary and very exciting ways to color eggs for the holiday. “Marble” eggs for Easter have become popular this spring. Such an unusual name for dyed eggs (that’s what people call colored eggs) was given for its closeness to natural material. You can achieve unique colors in several quite educational ways. It is best to do this activity in the company of children.

First coloring method

The experience of a young naturalist will tell you how to paint marble eggs for Easter using store-bought paint. You can also see recommendations for this on the paint bag. First of all, you should decide on the number of eggs needed, because thanks to this it will be possible to calculate the required amount of dye. It is better to choose several optimally natural marble colors for painting. Then the dyes can be laid out in a “kaleidoscope” around the Easter cake.

To get “marbled” eggs for Easter, you will also have to stock up on a good piece of gauze, a few spoons of rice, selected onion skins, scissors and thread.

First stage

The first step is to cut clean gauze into the required number of squares (15x15 cm), so that each marble miracle will receive attention.
To make marble inclusions as authentic as possible, you need to cut them finely. Pieces no larger than a square centimeter will be optimal. This will make it easier to install.

In order for the “marbled” eggs to shine like a real pebble for Easter, you need to take care of the rice and the husk. You need to pour a little water into the bowl with the husks and do the same trick with the rice. Such manipulations will help small grain particles stick to the shell and effectively imprint on it during cooking.

Next stage

An egg rolled in rice and husks must be carefully wrapped in a layer of gauze, the tail of the material is tightly tied and trimmed with scissors. A tight fit will ensure the tightest contact between the rice, husk and shell. Painting in this way will allow you to achieve natural shimmer and multi-layered marble.
Next, the gauze knots need to be placed in a deep saucepan (you can use a ladle if you plan to create a small number of “marble eggs” for Easter) and cook for about 40 minutes, so that all the products are ready and colored with the help of the husk.

Third stage

Now you can safely start working on the dye. The powder should be diluted strictly according to the manufacturer’s recommendations in order to ultimately obtain a high-quality solution. Vessels (glasses or mugs) should be placed as closely as possible to each other in order to optimize the painting process. If the manufacturer requires diluting the powder in hot water, the condition must be met, but allow the dye to cool before dipping the eggs.

The next step will be the final painting of the products - the bundles must be dipped in the solvent and waited for about three to five minutes for each egg. Next, the gauze lumps are removed, freed from tinsel and rinsed under running cold water.

With brilliant green

You can make the same “marbled” eggs for Easter with brilliant green. The color of the paint is more saturated and deep. For this version you will need the same equipment as in the previous tip, but the dyes must be replaced with proven brilliant green. The disadvantage of this option for obtaining “marble” eggs is the scarcity of flowers, but, on the other hand, they can play up the monochromatic design of the celebration. Green napkins and glasses will perfectly balance the festive table.

The process of creating marble eggs

Pre-moistened eggs must be generously rolled in chopped onion peels and wrapped in gauze. It is necessary to tighten the gauze flaps carefully so that the brilliant green lies evenly on the shell.

Next comes the cooking process. To prevent the eggs from breaking the pattern and bursting at the most inopportune moment, it is worth adding a tablespoon of high-quality salt to boiling water. After this, you can safely pour in the super agent - brilliant green. For a dozen, one bottle is enough, but it’s still worth dosing by eye.

To protect yourself from getting greenery on your hands, you need to protect yourself with good rubber gloves. The pan can be easily washed off after painting. But your hands can turn green for more than one day.

You need to cook the eggs in the green for 10 minutes after boiling, after which you need to take out the packages and untie them. The finer the husk is ground or cut, the brighter and more pronounced the marble pattern will be.

Completely safe way

Many inquisitive mothers refuse to paint “marble” eggs for Easter; brilliant green is also included in this list. To please your kids with such interesting colors and not harm their stomach, it’s worth remembering your grandmother’s recipe. To do this, you only need already boiled eggs, a lot of husks and How to make such products? To get a marble overflow, you need to cover the eggs moistened with water with husks and wrap them several times with a cloth. The more folds and kinks the fabric has, the more believable the “marble” will be.

On the same basis, you can paint eggs speckled. Instead of husks, you need to cover the prepared eggs with rice and wrap them tightly with gauze. They need to cook for about 45 minutes. Afterwards, pull out the packages and rinse them under running cool water.

We have already described how to get “marble” eggs for Easter, photos of which are presented in the article. I would like to dwell on one important point. The main nuance of famous “marble” products is the addition of vegetable oil to the rich dye itself. After pouring the oil into the dye, you need to stir the mixture with smooth movements, then dip the egg into it. The oil trace will spread on the shell in smaller spots. After drying, the egg must be dipped in a different color. Thus, eggs made using the “marble” technique will acquire an extraordinary sheen.

Cute pattern

Many craftsmen advise doing it yourself for Easter. “Marble” and polka dot eggs are the most touching and original products. We considered the first creation option. How to make the second pattern? To create polka dot eggs, you will need special foil-based stickers or Thoroughly washed eggs should be pasted over with such circles and dipped in concentrated dye for a couple of minutes. Next, you should let the shell dry and only then remove the stickers (adhesive tape). That's all, the products are ready.

Conclusion

The abundance of techniques and devices of modern housewives allows us to obtain the most colorful and structural varieties of coloring for Easter eggs. Ancient customs, translated into a modern, colorful way, help instill in children love and respect for holy holidays.

Marbling Easter eggs requires the same food coloring you use every year, plus one more ingredient that creates those intricate patterns. The technique is simple to perform - even a child can handle it. Eggs colored with organic dyes are absolutely safe for the health of both adults and children.

You will need:
  • white chicken eggs, hard-boiled;
  • water;
  • vegetable oil;
  • liquid food colors in bright colors;
  • latex gloves;
  • glass or plastic containers;
  • spoon;
  • paper towels.
Instructions: Wear gloves and an apron to protect your hands and clothing from staining. Take the required number of glass or plastic containers (according to the number of colors) and pour enough water into them so that it completely covers the egg.

Add 8-10 drops of liquid dye to each container of water (dyes can be mixed to obtain unusual shades). Pour 1 tsp into each container. vegetable oil. Stir the solution lightly without trying to combine the oil and water. It is enough to “draw” 1-2 full circles with a spoon.

Place a hot boiled egg in the dye and use a spoon to turn it from side to side several times. For high-quality coloring, leave it for 30 minutes (in the case of dyes of dark shades, less time may be needed).

After this time, remove the egg from the liquid and pat it dry with a paper towel. For shine, rub the colored eggs with a little vegetable oil.
