We sew a New Year's costume for a child with our own hands. Do-it-yourself bear costume for a boy - sewing methods Do-it-yourself bear carnival costume for a boy

Survey

The need to bring their son in a carnival costume to a New Year's party puts parents in front of the choice of buying or making a festive outfit on their own. From the point of view of saving labor costs, going to the store is an easier solution. However, spending family money on a one-time purchase is an irrational step.

Preparing the costume yourself is intimidating for many parents. But practice shows that a suitable outfit can be prepared in a couple of evenings. A good choice would be the image of the unofficial national symbol - the bear.

What should a baby bear costume consist of?

The first association with a carnival bear outfit is a baggy faux fur jumpsuit. It looks the most beautiful, but it will be hard for a child to be in such warm clothes for a long time. For this reason, it is worth stopping at a more comfortable version, which is sewn from fleece fabric.

Despite the fact that in nature there are several colors of these predators, it is worth choosing the traditional brown material as the basis for the costume.

The outfit itself will consist of the following parts:

    a hat imitating a bear's head with ears, eyes and nose sewn to it;

    a vest made of fleece fabric;

    old pants of a similar color, which can be shortened and hemmed at the cut.

Materials and equipment for sewing

For a suit, you will need fleece fabric, synthetic winterizer, brown threads, glue, a sewing needle and scissors. Faster and better work will come out when using a sewing machine. In the absence of this device at home, it can be temporarily borrowed from friends or acquaintances. Faux fur can be used for the tail.

As a basis for the lower part of the outfit, your son's old pants will do. It is desirable that they be dark gray or brown (it is better not to use bright trousers).

Preparation of breeches

The lower part of the outfit will have to be shortened due to the fact that the old pants have become small in length for him. In the first step, you need to cut off the unnecessary parts of the trousers using scissors. If it turned out not quite smoothly, the error can be corrected. After that, you need to rip the inner seams of the legs by 5-7 cm from the bottom and measure the width of the trousers in this part.

The resulting elements are sewn using a machine, first from the outside of each leg, and then from the inside. After that, you should restore the previously ripped seam on top of the fleece. This will create a brown piping at the bottom of the breeches.

For the tail, you will need a round piece of faux fur to match the suit with a diameter of about 10 cm. It should be sewn around the circumference, pull off the thread and fill the resulting cavity with padding polyester. The tail can then be attached to the back of the breeches.

The preparation of the bottom of the outfit is complete!

Sewing vests

The vest can be made solid, since this option is sewn from 2 fabric elements.

As a sample for a pattern, a son's T-shirt or vest is suitable. It should be reproduced on paper with a margin of a couple of centimeters, which will be "eaten" by the seams.

When the fabric is cut according to the drawing, you can start sewing the resulting pieces of material. It is important to keep an eye on the direction of movement while using the machine. Having connected the resulting parts on the sides, you should refine the vest from the bottom, carefully tucking it in this part and securing the resulting bend with a seam from the inside.

Making a hat

By analogy with the previous element, you can sew a fleece hat using a pattern made on the basis of a boy's knitted hat. The technology completely repeats the manufacture of the vest. After that, only the last details will remain: ears, nose and eyes.

Any old soft toy can be a donor for the eyes. They can be attached with glue, or with threads, if there is an appropriate hole.

Ears are made of round pieces of fleece, pulled together around the perimeter and stuffed with padding polyester. In the upper part of the cap, small cuts are made, where the ears will be located. They are attached with seams.

The nose should be black and resemble a potato. Any fabric that needs to be rolled up and stuffed with padding polyester is suitable for him, after which, sew to the bottom edge of the front side of the cap.

To create a comfortable suit for a children's matinee does not require extraordinary abilities. Sewing can be made into a fun and enjoyable experience if you involve the whole family!

Here I decided to create a cycle of master classes on designing and sewing hats. Here is the promised pussy.

For such a hat, you can use fleece or polartek +++ any insulation you like. I have 2 different fleece and thinsulate 100ka (insulation.)

Let's start with the pattern. You will need three measurements: head circumference, face circumference, and the distance from the eyebrow line, across the crown of the head to the base of the skull.
For example, you got OG-48, OL-52, and 34

Now we are building a drawing grid: a rectangle equal to the half-girth of the head + 2 cm, and a height equal to the half-girth of the face + 2 cm, since a hat with insulation, if you sew without insulation, you can not make an increase!
And so our rectangle is 25 by 27 cm.
For convenience, I marked the main points in the drawing with letters, further from point A (in the upper left corner) - set aside 6 cm (in sizes up to 50th) and 8-9 cm (in sizes over 50th). and draw a horizontal line.
Next, we find point C from the point, set aside a distance equal to half the distance from the eyebrows to the base of the skull. We have it 34/2 = 17 cm. Draw another horizontal line.
Then we divide the rectangle vertically exactly in half, at the intersection with the horizontals, points A1, B1, C1, D1 are obtained
The drawing grid is ready.

Then we divide the segment AA1 exactly in half and draw verticals, we also do it with the adjacent segment.

Now it remains to draw a hat. We make out our sections with plans with rounded lines - these are darts so that the cap lies round the head. We lower the back of the cap by 2 cm (Point H) and draw out the front and back of the head with smooth lines, at the same time outlining the ear - arbitrarily. The drawing is ready.

Cut out the crotch, take a piece of fabric - fold it in half - apply the crochet with the front part to the fold, circle it and cut it out with an allowance of 0.7. The details of the lining and insulation are cut similarly, but 1.5-2 mm less than the top. ++ We cut out the ears of the shape and size that seems acceptable to you.

We sew the details. Starting at the front dart. Do not forget to iron each seam so that the finished product looks perfect.

We arbitrarily outline and draw off the antennae.

Sew the occipital seam and ears. Then we put the ears into the side darts, chop off the middle of the parts and grind with one line.

Then we take a piece of usually knitted elastic band, literally 5 cm. And pin it at a distance of 3-4 cm to the occipital seam, while stretching the elastic band as much as possible.

Sew on the elastic with a three-stop zigzag. On my car, this is line number 10. Those who do not have such a line can simply use a zig-zag.

This elastic band is needed so that the cap fits snugly around the back of the head. The top detail is ready.

We do the same with the lining, having previously connected it along the contour with the insulation.

It remains to collect the cap.

To do this, turn the lining out to the front side, and the top to the wrong side and put the top on the lining. Not the other way around !!! Otherwise, the lining of the boulet will turn out on the face! We cut and sew along the contour.

We make a small hole along the occipital seam of the lining and turn the cap inside out.
It is almost ready, it remains to sew the knitting.

I also decided to stick the bentik to the ear. I cut out 2 pieces of multi-colored fleece, decorated with Swarovski crystals and formed a bow.

That's what came out of it:)))

My clever husband also drew such a great design for embroidery, and the pussy became a kit with a scarf-scarf for adorable little Sonechka.

Like this. Good luck to all handicrafts :)

We sew a baby hat (pattern and master class)

I sewed such a children's hat for the baby for the fall-spring, if you take a woolen cloth, then you can sew a hat for the winter in this style. The main thing to know is the circumference of the child's head. I sewed for a head circumference of 44-46 cm, age 6-12 months.
The pattern is given in the original (we print it on an A4 sheet).

For older children, you can not make ears, then the pattern is not needed, just cut out a rectangle to fit the head.

Can be sewn from fleece, thick jersey, knitted fabric. I took the fabric - fleece. We cut out one main part and an inner part (half of the main part). We sew them together on the seamy side, turn them inside out and sew them off with a decorative stitch or a zigzag stitch, you can take contrasting threads. If desired, the hat can be decorated with a patch, embroidery, applique, beautiful colored buttons. I sewed on patches.

We carry out the middle seam. I like to sew fleece seam to seam (or quite a little overlap) not with a regular stitch, but with a finishing one. So the seams are not rough and beautifully finished.

Then, on the seamy side, we sew the top of the cap and fold the edges of the upper part of the cap to the center and lay the second line. Thus, we get the top of the hat, which will "sit" well on the child's head.

We turn it out.

If you need strings on the "ears", then it is better to sew them between the outer and inner parts of the cap. For ties, you can use decorative lace, trim, or sew from base fabric.

But what hats I got! The sewing process itself will take you only 20-30 minutes and the baby will have a new outfit!

Best regards, Admin Kotya.

WE SEW A HAT FOR A GIRL OWN HANDS

  • July 1, 2013

In any family there is always some kind of jersey T-shirt or T-shirt, which is already pretty boring or has lost its original appearance, but once beloved and therefore not thrown away, gathering dust somewhere in the bins and waiting for its fate. Is it about you? Well, you can try to rehabilitate the old thing.

For example, decorating it with buttons, rhinestones, embroidery, painting with special paints, fabric flowers, etc., whoever has enough imagination for that. You can use old, unnecessary T-shirts to make absolutely wonderful rugs. Or create crocheted bowls from striped T-shirts. Or you can spend a minimum of effort and sew such adorable baby hats out of them for little fashionistas ... Or maybe for fashionistas?

See how bright, unusual and new the annoying T-shirt looks!

You can make several hats at once.

Well, let's get started.
First, the fabric must be washed and ironed. Instead of a template, we will use a ready-made baby hat that fits well on the head. So, fold the fabric in half and outline the outline of our hat, not forgetting about the allowances (about 6 mm), as shown in the photo:

Cut out the circled hat:

The next step is to cut a rectangle from the same fabric as the hat (watch out for the share!) 13 cm high and 36 cm wide.

We sew two parts of the hat, having previously folded them with the front side to each other and basing. Or you can just chop it off with needles. Stitch the cuts on the overlock, and if there is no overlock, then you can also on the typewriter, choosing a suitable seam. At worst, you can use a simple line. I have seen more than once how some craftswomen, having neither an overlock nor a cover-up machine, using only a typewriter, created such beautiful and neat little things that they could give odds to some store goods.
Also, do not forget about the rectangle. We stitch it on one side.

Fold the rectangle in half, with the wrong side inward, as shown in the photo

Now we do this: insert the resulting ring into the cap, still turned out to the wrong side; align the edges, secure with pins

Here's what you should get

Sew the edges with what we have.

Now we turn the hat onto the front side and all the seams are inside.

We iron the seams on the hat, turn the lapel of the hat outward by 2.5-3 cm and iron it again.

To keep the lapel in place, we make such bindings, picking up the threads in color.

And now, if you wish, you can decorate the hat with a pretty flower. We cut out 5 circles with a diameter of your choice and 4 circles with a smaller diameter from a suitable fabric.

Take large circles and fold them in half and again in half

So fold three more large circles and place them on the 5th

Now we fix it in the very center like this:

Now we also fold the remaining four small circles and place them in the center of the flower, closing the folds.

Again we fasten with stitches manually in the very center, sewing all layers.

And we sew the resulting flower on the side of our hat.

So the update for the little fashionista is ready!

Fleece hat

This autumn children's hat with ears is made of fleece. A very simple model of a hat - even novice seamstresses can handle it.
Fleece is a lightweight, soft, elastic material. Fleece is machine washable and dries quickly. Despite the fact that the basis of the fleece is a knitted fabric - the cuts do not need to be overcast, because they do not crumble due to the brushed surface. You can sew fleece with a regular machine stitch - it is convenient for those who do not have knitted stitches on the machine.

How to sew a hat for a child:

Size: head circumference 46 cm. For larger or smaller sizes, explanations are given on the construction.

Open:
1.the main part of the cap 1 piece
2.lapel 1 piece

2. Fold the lapel in half with the right side inward and sew along the short side. Press the seam allowances in different directions. If desired, topstitch the seam.

Detachment - stitching stitches on parts to secure seam allowances. It is used to fix seams on fabrics that are difficult to wet heat treatment. The seam allowances are laid out on two sides and secured with two parallel lines.

3. Fold the main part of the cap in half with the right side inward and sew along the short side. Press the seam allowances in different directions. If desired, topstitch the seam.

4. Bast the ears to the seamy side of the main part of the cap, stepping back 7.5 cm from the seam. Fold the lapel in half lengthwise and, combining the seams and cuts, sweep to the seamy side of the main part of the cap. Sew. To reduce the thickness of the seam, sweep the seam.

5. Turn the hat inside out, fold it in half (so that the seam is in the middle), sew.

Hello dear readers. Recently, the theme of carnival costumes for the New Year has been launched. Better, of course, to take care of this in advance. Around the end of November - the beginning of December, you will already know with confidence what character your child will be at the children's matinee. In the younger groups, the most common characters are animals - bears, hares, wolves. I suggest you see how to sew a Bear costume with your own hands. It will take very little time and will also be much cheaper than buying from a store.

So, let's begin. The costume is made of artificial wool, but if you want your child to be more comfortable, you can choose another material - lighter (velvet, fleece, micro-corduroy).

Our Bear is sewn in the form of a jumpsuit, the fastener is Velcro (you can also use a zipper, but you will have to tinker a little longer).

1. Preparing the pattern.

2. Cut out parts from fabric, if it is artificial wool, then it is necessary to observe the direction of the pile when cutting.

3. Fold the backrest and parts of the shelves right side inward, aligning the shoulder seams.

4. Sweep the shoulder seams.

5. Sew shoulder seams on a typewriter.

6. Connect the side seams of the mill.

7. Make a fit on the sleeves.

8. Stitch the sleeve seam.

9. Sew the sleeves into the armholes, aligning the control marks.

10. Join the middle seam on the back and front of the pants.

11. Connect the crotch seam of the pants, aligning the middle seam.

12. Join the side seams of the trousers.

13. Sew in adhesive tape along the edges of the overalls shelf. Connect the top and bottom of the jumpsuit at the waist.

14. Connect all parts of the hood and hood lining together.

15. Cut out the ears from the fabric of the upper - 4 parts.

16. Glue the ears with glue cloth - 2 parts.

17. Connect the parts in two, stitch and turn onto the face.

18. If you are sewing a suit from fabric, do not forget to steam the seams.

19. Turn the hood inside out.

20. Mark the location of the ears (symmetrically).

21. Sew in ears.

22. Sew hood lining from lining fabric.

23. Sew a lining into the hood, leaving the neck open.

24. Sew the hood into the neck of the camp.

25. Close the seam between the neck of the camp and the hood with the hood lining, turning the edges of the lining inward. Topstitch or hem on the arms with a blind stitch.

26. Tuck up the bottom of the sleeves and legs.

Everything! The suit is ready! Saving is easy! Try it!

Mommies dress up their children with cute animals for the holidays. The image of a teddy bear for a boy comes in handy as never before.

Today's master class is devoted to the question: how to sew a bear costume with your own hands for a boy.

DIY bear costume for a boy: materials and tools

The fabric from which the suit is sewn must be breathable, and if it is artificial fur, then the knitting must be loose and loose. This is just in case you want to sew a suit out of an old thick blanket that exactly resembles the skin of a bear. If the material is too dense, the child will sweat quickly. In this state, the baby will not want to have fun at the holiday. For the same reason, this workshop offers a separate version of the suit, where the vest and pants are sewn separately.

You will need the following materials and tools for sewing:

Top or front fabric of brown or beige color, terry or fleecy (the length of the pile does not matter);

The bottom or inner fabric does not matter what color, the main thing is that it was made of natural material (linen, poplin, satin, cotton);

Plastic eyes and nose to indicate muzzles or ear rims;

Strong threads, scissors, tape measure, sewing machine.

If you have a plain natural thick fabric or satin, then the bottom or inner fabric is not needed.

DIY bear costume for a boy: split suit

This suit requires a vest, shorts or pants, and a hat or headband ears. Boots and mittens are optional. The child will look like a bear even without them. At the request of the parents, the image can be supplemented with little things.

So, for example: a vest can be sewn both with strings, and one-piece, with a bow on the neck and fabric of a different color on the chest and abdomen.

Option 1

Here is a solution for making a suit can be offered from brown satin fabric.

This product requires a piece of fleece fabric, satin fabric, a bow or red bow fabric and a wide elastic band.

Stage 1

Measure your child with a tape measure before applying the pattern. You will need to know the height of the jacket (from shoulder to hip), sleeve length, arm girth, collar circumference, shoulder width (from collar to shoulder angle), chest circumference. For pants: thigh girth, leg length from waist to ankle (if it is shorts, then to knee), inner leg length (from groin to ankle), leg girth.

Stage 2

Measure the fabric, sketch the details and cut them out of the fabric. You should have: two parts of the jacket (front and back), two parts of the sleeve, two parts of the pants. Note that the front of the jacket must be cut from the fleece fabric.

This pattern of pants is the simplest and fastest.

Stage 3

Sew the front and back of the jacket together. Sew sleeves into the armholes.

Sew the details of the pants together along the upper side cuts. Roll the product so that the seam lies between the parts, and the two parts lie on the sides of the seam, folded in half. In this position, sew each piece separately. This seam will run between your legs.

Stage 4

Fold up the cut-off part of the sleeves and the bottom of the jacket and sew, stepping back from the edge one centimeter. Likewise, tuck and stitch the waistband and leg opening.

Insert a wide elastic band into the sleeves and waist of the sweater. Insert the same into the pants at the waist and legs.

Stage 5

Sew the finished bow tie to the neckline. If you do not have a purchased butterfly, then you can do it yourself.

You will need a square of fabric for a bow 20 × 20 cm. And a strip of the same fabric 5 × 10 cm. Sew two opposite edges of the large square with each other and turn the seam so that it lies in the middle of the resulting tube, and not to the side. Unscrew and iron the fabric tube.

Make a small circle from the strip in exactly the same way. Slip the large circle into the small one and extend it straight to the middle. The butterfly is ready. Feel free to sew it to the bear's costume.

Option 2

For this type of suit, the vest is worn wide open.

Stage 1

Select a fabric and apply the details of the vest to it. If you have chosen a fabric with faux fur for such a suit, then a natural fabric lining is usually sewn on its inner part. This means that if you are going to sew a lining, then the patterns must be duplicated. That is, the drawing of the details is applied both to the outer fabric with artificial fur, and to the lining or inner fabric.

For sewing, you need to get two parts of the front side and one part of the back side of the vest from the front part and exactly the same details from the inner fabric.

Contour the fabric for sewing pants or shorts.

Stage 2

Cut out the resulting parts and sew together separately the parts from the inner fabric and separately from the outer fabric. The vest is sewn on the shoulder and on the side.

It should be noted right away that shorts or pants are sewn according to the same principle as in the first version of the suit.

Stage 3

If you are sewing a product without a second inner layer, then turn all cut edges (sleeve, neckline, hem, leg and waistband on trousers) in one or two turns and sew, stepping back from the edge no more than one centimeter.

If you decide to sew a suit from two layers (inner and outer), then collect the resulting parts together. Fold the trousers made from inner fabric with the trousers made of artificial border from the right side to the front. Sew along the cut edge, namely at the waist and legs. Do the same with the vest.

Leave a small section (15-20cm) unstitched. Turn pants and vest through these holes. Sew the unstitched area of the fabric by hand with a blind stitch.

DIY bear costume for a boy: hat or headband with ears

In order to make it clear that there is a bear in front of you, and not another animal, you need to sew a hat with the bear's face and ears.

Stage 1

In order to sew a bear's hat, you need to measure the circumference and depth of the child's head.

Stage 2

Apply the pattern of the hat, ears and muzzle to the fabric as follows.

Stage 3

Cut out the resulting parts and sew together. Ear holes are inserted into the ear holes, and the seam is overlaid on a sewing machine.

Fold up the bottom edge of the cap and stitch around the entire circumference.

Stage 4

Sew the face onto the front of the hat, leaving a small section unstitched. Push a lot of filler under the fabric through it and sew the left piece. These will be the cheeks of the bear. He has them large, therefore, the larger the shape turned out, the better.

Sew the nose and eyes into place. A hat with a bear face is ready.

If you don't feel like messing around with sewing a hat, you can make bear ears and attach them to the rim.

According to the scheme above, only the ears are cut out and sewn together. The bottom edge is not overstretched. The ears are turned inside out and the bottom edge is put on the rim. Sew the cut edge so that the section of the headband remains hidden between the fabrics.

Table of contents

A series of New Year's parties is coming, to which one would like to send children in beautiful, carnival costumes. It's not a secret for anyone that the ready-made image is not cheap. Therefore, mothers, even those who have never imagined themselves in the role of a home couturier, are increasingly choosing hand-made outfits for their children. We have prepared several options for New Year's suits for boys that are suitable for different ages, which you can sew with your own hands quickly and beautifully.

Costumes for the little ones

Babies at 2 years old do not have to dress up as superheroes or cartoon characters for the New Year. As a rule, at this age, children still do not participate in kindergarten performances and matinees, but parents, nevertheless, try to dress them up in some kind of costume.

And just for this occasion, a master class will come in handy, according to which you can quickly and beautifully sew a New Year's costume for a boy with your own hands. Patterns and step-by-step photos will help even those parents who have little experience in sewing.

Bear costume

Every loving mother can sew such a charming costume with her own hands for her baby. You can dress up with a bear a child who is just starting to go to kindergarten, or just a crumb who spends the whole day in his arena. And you will need an old brown fleece blouse to create the perfect New Year's look. It is she who will make up almost 80% of the finished outfit.

For work you will need:

  • a brown fleece (or footer) jacket (a kangaroo, a body shirt or a sweatshirt with a snake will do, the main thing is that the product has a hood);
  • two pieces of brown and beige fleece fabric;
  • synthetic winterizer or other filler;
  • threads in the color of fleece;
  • pins;
  • paper;
  • a simple pencil or crayon;
  • scissors.

Operating procedure:

  • We measure the width of the jacket in the buttoned state. We lay out the light fleece and draw a circle on it with a pencil so that it turns out 3-4 cm narrower than the diameter of the jacket. Cut out an even circle using any suitable object, for example, a saucepan lid.
  • We attach the resulting circle to the jacket with pins and attach it on a sewing machine in a "zigzag" fashion. This will be the belly of our bear cub.
  • On paper we draw a template for the ears - one detail should turn out to be slightly larger than the second. Transfer the pattern to light and dark fleece. Large blanks of dark brown material will need 4 pieces.
  • Sew on the light part to the dark part, like on the ears.
  • Fold the dark fleece right side up and sew on a sewing machine, leaving the bottom unstitched. We turn out the workpiece, lightly fill it with padding polyester and lay a machine or hand stitch along the bottom of the product.
  • On the hood, we mark the places into which the ears will be sewn, make cuts and sew blanks into them.
  • The main part of the bear costume is ready. You can complement the look with brown pants or shorts with tights of the same color.
  • And how to quickly and easily make a New Year's snowman costume for a boy with your own hands, you can see in this video.

    Suits for boys from 3 to 6 years old

    Older children, who can already be involved in stage actions during the New Year's matinee, can already think about the costume more difficult. But here, too, it is necessary to proceed from the boy's age - the younger the child, the simpler and clearer his character should be.

    Gray Wolf Costume

    An angry and scary gray ox often inspires parents to create a New Year's costume. At 3 years old, this character will be perfect as the main character.

    In addition, complex patterns are also not required to create this image, it is enough to use a ready-made jacket or gray pajamas, and slightly correct it.

    For work you will need:

    • soft sweatshirt and long pants or gray pajamas;
    • a piece of felt light and dark gray, as well as white and black felt;
    • scissors;
    • needles;
    • threads;
    • pins;
    • pencil or crayon;
    • scissors;
    • a piece of cardboard;
    • elastic band or braid;
    • synthetic winterizer.

    Operating procedure:

    • We take a sweatshirt or jacket from pajamas and measure the width and length of the front shelf. We lay out a piece of gray felt, draw an oval according to the given measurements. Cut out the part and make sharp teeth along the edges along its perimeter. We attach the oval to the jacket and attach it on a typewriter.

    • We also decorate trousers and pajamas with imitation wool. Cut off two strips from the gray felt, 10 cm wide and equal to the leg circumference. We cut one side with a fringe and attach the bottom to the legs, as shown in the photo.

    • Cut out a square of dark felt with sides of 10 cm, round off its corners and cut teeth on the sides. We attach them to our knees in the form of patches and we do the same on the elbows.

    • Cut off two rectangles from the gray felt with a width of 15 cm and a length of 40 cm. Cut out another piece of dark felt - 10 by 30 cm. Cut the teeth on the sides to look like wool. We also prepare a piece of white felt to shape the tip of the tail.

    • We attach a white blank to one of the large rectangles, and a dark gray one to the other, as shown in the photo. We attach the elements, securely fastening them together. We leave a hole for stuffing at the bottom of the workpiece. We fill the part with padding polyester and sew the tail to the back of the pants.

    • It remains to make a mask. Cut out a blank from the cardboard, as shown in the photo. We put it on a piece of gray felt, fasten it with pins and make two patterns. Cut holes for the eyes.

    • We make a nose out of dark gray felt, and eyebrows from white. Sew on by hand or glue the elements on the face of the mask. Use a piece of black felt to shape the tip of the nose. Sew both parts of the mask by stitching an elastic band on the sides. The suit is ready!
