💡. I present to you a selection: knitted hats 2017-2018. It contains the most interesting models to date; we will look at each hat with diagrams. The most current models of women's hats knitted with descriptions and photos can be found in my article!

Before you start working on the product, you need to knit a sample measuring about 10x10 cm. With its help, the number of loops and rows per centimeter of knitted fabric is determined, which allows you to achieve accuracy in the size of the product. The process of knitting on knitting needles begins with casting on the required number of loops on two folded knitting needles - creating the initial row. After casting on, one of the knitting needles (the working one) is removed, and the loops remain on the knitting needle, which is taken in the left hand. There are two methods of knitting: English, when the thread from the ball (working) is held by the right hand and, when a new loop is formed, is picked up by the right knitting needle, and German (continental) - the working thread is in the left hand and is thrown onto the right knitting needle.

How to knit a warm hat for women?

If you are still a beginner, you can start with our first tutorial on how to knit a simple hat for a woman. As a visual aid, you can use the videos we have selected on how to knit a hat for a woman.

How to knit a simple wool hat

Knitting a beautiful hat is not as difficult as it seems. To do this, you need to arm yourself with knitting needles, yarn and patience.

Necessary:

  • wool yarn – 50 g at 135 m;
  • straight knitting needles No. 4 – 2 pcs.;
  • crochet hook;
  • scissors;
  • darning needle.

1. Find out the head circumference of the future owner of the headdress and be sure to make a small square of knitted fabric for the sample - the knitting density is always calculated individually. When knitting a hat with English elastic, an elastic, almost dimensionless product is created. In the described example, with a head circumference of 55-60 cm, a knitwear density of 18 loops for 46 rows, 78 loops are cast on for the headband of the hat. The knitting needles are straight and of medium diameter (No. 4).
You can start knitting a hat with English elastic without making an elastic border. At the same time, you can make the fabric of the product either with or without a turn. Please note: the 1x1 elastic band secures the edge well!

2. Knit the headband in straight and purl rows, alternating 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches. When 8 rows are ready, start knitting the hat with an English elastic band. In the first row of the pattern you will need to make even increases, bringing the total number of loops to 95.
To add loops, divide the row into equal sections, and knit an additional thread in each. To do this, grab and twist the transverse threads between adjacent loops.

3. Work the fluffy fabric with an English elastic until you reach a height of 25 cm from the edge of the rim. To form the main knitwear pattern, alternate stitches in the following sequence. In the first row of the pattern, do only knit stitches; start the second row with the edge loop (it can be removed unknitted); do the front one. Next, repeat the so-called double knit stitches, inserting the right knitting needle into the thread bow of the previous row. The final loops are the front and edge stitches.

4. Start the third row of English rib also with an edge loop, then alternate double and regular knit stitches until there are only a couple of thread arches left on the left needle. Knit the first one as a double knit stitch, the second one will be an edge stitch. Repeat the pattern according to the finished sample of the second and third rows until you have made the main fabric of the headdress of the desired size.

5. Start shaping the crown of the hat. To round the knitted fabric and tighten it at the top, make uniform decreases in the forward and reverse rows: at the beginning, an edge loop; during a row of 3 thread arches are knitted together with a regular knit stitch; at the end - edging. In the next row, make decreases without leaving edges, always knit 3 loops together.

6. Cut the working yarn, leaving a tail about 10 cm long. Pull it over the open loops of the last row and drag it with the hook inside the hat. Form a strong knot.

7. Turn the hat wrong side down, steam the knitted fabric and carefully connect the side edges of the part. Make a neat connecting seam using a darning needle and thread from a working ball. To ensure that the stitching remains sufficiently elastic and the product does not deform, do not make the stitches too tight.

Stylish hat with braids

Necessary:

  • 150 g yarn
  • knitting needles No. 3.5,
  • knitting needles No. 4, 5

I cast on 96 stitches on the knitting needles. Knitting needles No. 3.5. Knitted in 2 threads, yarn with 20% wool, 135g per 50m.

Pattern:

  • (p2, k6, p2, k2) - repeat until the end of the row.
  • knit according to the pattern, where from inside to outside, where from faces to faces.

Knit 6 rows like this and in the 7th row make overlaps where there are 6 faces. (YouTube is full of videos on how to knit braids). I did this: I transfer 3 loops to a toothpick, knit the next 3, return these 3 loops from the toothpick to the left knitting needle and knit them too. Then, according to the pattern, 2 purl, 2 knit, 2 purl and again overlaps. So until the end of the row.

After these overlaps, we knit 1 row on the wrong side according to the pattern, I don’t count it.

And repeat all 6 rows again, overlap in the 7th
And repeat all 6 rows again and overlap in the 7th
In total, we made 3 braids. And from the beginning of knitting we knitted about 15-17 cm.

Place 6 markers in garter stitch: knit 3-6pts in garter stitch, RM (place marker), * 12pts in garter stitch, RM *, repeat from *-*2 times only, knit 12pts in garter stitch, knit A.1b, as before, knit 12 stitches in platter stitch, * RM, 12pts in platter stitch *, repeat from *-* only 2 times, RM, knit 3-6 pts in platter stitch (= 6 markers in total).
Then decrease by 1 stitch after the first 3 markers and by 1 stitch before the next 3 markers - SEE DECREASES 1.
Decrease like this in every 4th row only 4-5 times, then knit A.1c over A.1b and continue decreasing near the marker in every 2nd row 6 more times = 25pts.
Knit a row, knitting all loops together in 2 = 13 stitches.
Cut the thread, pull the end through the remaining loops, pull and fasten.
Cap height approx. 26-27 cm.
Sew the hat along the edges.

Mittens
Circular knitting.
Left mitten:
= 44-47pt on double needles. We knit 3 ribs in garter stitch.
Continue with next round: 1st stitch, A.2a (= 24pts) and 19-22pts.
When pattern A.2a is knitted once in height, it will be 49-52 pt.
Continue knitting A.2b over A.2a.
When it is 10 cm, add 4 stitches evenly in garter stitch = 53-56 stitches.
Continue working on the patterns as before.
At a height of 12-13 cm - increase the 1st loop on each side of the first loop at the beginning of the circle for the thumb wedge (see increase at the top).
So add on each side in every 2nd circle only 6-7 times = 65-70pts.
Next around the circle, remove 13-15 loops for the wedge on the secondary needle. Continue knitting in the round, casting on 1 new stitch behind the slipped stitches = 53-56 sts.
At an altitude of approx. 25-27 cm (3 cm remains to the end), make decreases:
On the next row, start working pattern A.2c over A.2b and decrease 3 stitches evenly in garter stitch every 3rd round a total of 6 times = 12-15 stitches.
Next round: knit all stitches together in 2 = 6-8 stitches.
Cut the thread and pull the end through the remaining loops. Pull and secure.
Mitten height approx. 28-30 cm.

Finger:
Remove the 13-15 stitches set aside on the stocking needles and raise another = 16-18 stitches along the edge of the hole. We knit with scarf knitting in a circle up to 6-7 cm, in the next. row knit all loops together 2 - 8-9pt.
Cut the thread, pull the end through the remaining loops, pull and fasten.

Right mitten:
Knit mirror left; work A.3 instead of A.2 and increase finger wedge stitches on each side of the first garter stitch after pattern A.3.

Knitted hat *Serpentine*

by spider_knit. You can knit a hat of any density, not just from Gazzal Tango, but for this you need to knit a sample; I recommend knitting a sample with 29 loops (27 pattern loops and two edge loops). The sample should include 1x1 elastic with classic loops (it is better to make an Italian set of loops) and two repeats in the height of the main pattern.

The pattern in the carousel is for circular knitting. When knitting in turns, you need to knit the pattern as follows:

Knit the 1st row after the elastic.

Turn the knitting and knit: edge * remove purl thread before work, purl 2, again remove 1 purl. , then knit 5 purl*.

Part 1. Calculations

First, we will take measurements of our sample after the WTO, dry. Separate elastic band: width in cm and number of loops and height in cm and number of loops. We do the same with the main pattern.
I have a 1x1 elastic band: 27p-8.5 cm; 15 rows - 4.5 cm, so in a square 1x1 cm 3.18 loops and 3.33 rows
My head circumference is 55 cm. I will knit the elastic with a turn-up, so I multiply the width of the elastic by 2, i.e. the elastic band will be 6 cm in finished form, which means we knit 12 cm.
Calculation: 55cm (OG) x 3.18 loops (how many loops are 1 cm wide) - 15% for tightness. Love weaker - subtract 10%, love straight reinforced concrete on the heads - subtract 20% (for children it’s important if girls don’t have braids). I got 149 loops. We select a number that is a multiple of 9 and close to 149 - for me this is 144 loops. We calculate the height of the elastic - 12 cm (height) x 3.33 (number of rows in 1 cm) - we get 40 rows and plus a cast-on edge.

Using an Italian cast-on, cast on the number of stitches based on your calculation (I have 144 stitches). Knit the first two rows with a hollow elastic band, then close the knitting in a circle and place a marker for the beginning of the row

Part 2. Header body/all photos in the application

Important .We start knitting the body of the hat from the second row of the pattern and knit “braids” after the 11th row according to the pattern. Having knitted the elastic to the desired height, we need to make increases in the fabric of the hat for a loose fit and switch to knitting needles 0.5 sizes larger, in the sample I am the main one I knitted the pattern with 3.5 knitting needles. Of course, you must calculate your knitting density using the knitted pattern.

My knitting density for the main pattern was 10 cm, 26 loops, i.e. I have 2.6 loops in 1 cm. On an OG of 55 cm, this turns out to be 2.6 x 55 = 143 loops, but your hat will fit directly on your head. This option is suitable if you are knitting a hat for a man, a child, or if you yourself like to wear this style of hat. If you like the fit to be a little loose, then it’s better to add from 5 to 15 percent to the resulting figure (I added 15%, because my knitted hat will have a lining and this needs to be taken into account and I don’t like clingy hats) . That. I got it: 143 + 15% = 164 loops, I rounded to a multiple of 9 (pattern repeat) and got 162 loops. Let me remind you that I have 144 loops on rib knitting needles; to get 162 loops, I need to increase 18 loops.

162 loops are 18 repeats.

That. I need to perform an increase in each rapport.

Rapport with an increase: remove the loop behind the front wall, knit two loops from the front loop, remove the loop behind the front wall, 5 front loops.

If you have difficulty with such an increase in loops, then you can increase through an equal number of loops, but in this case you knit the first row of the pattern and increase in it by knitting two loops from one front one.
Knit the body of the hat to the required height.

Part 3:Calculating the height of the body of the hat

The height of the body of the hat is calculated as follows: the desired height of the hat minus the height of 14 rows (we measure according to the sample).

Decrements are made according to the pattern in odd rows (in which we knit ALL the loops and overlap the braids). Deductions are made in EVERY rapport. The place of decrease in rapport is indicated in the diagram (the diagram shows ONLY ODD ROWS WITH DECREASES, even rows are knitted according to the pattern), the diagram is in the appendix. In the diagram, three ticks are our braids. The third is the first braid of the next rapport

Decrease is ALWAYS performed before overlapping the braid as follows: Knit stitch, leave one loop in front of the braid unknitted, transfer it to the right knitting needle, remove the braid loop onto an additional loop BEFORE work, transfer the next loop after the braid loop to the right knitting needle without knitting, do not knit the braid loop When knitting on the left knitting needle, we transfer two unknitted loops from the right knitting needle to the left knitting needle, knit them together, then knit a braid loop.

Photo of the process of decreases in the carousel (photo 3,4,5)

In this way, you decrease 6 times (see the row diagram), only the braid loops remain on the knitting needles.

In the 7th row, knit two loops together, in the next row close the loops with a needle and tighten well so that a hole does not form.

If you cannot tighten the loops well, you can re-thread the needle and sew the loops of the crown, then tighten.
serpentine hat ready. All you have to do is complete the OBE and wear it with pleasure.

A hat with a simple pattern in 2 hours

Description of the blue and gray hat with photo.

These hats can be knitted from any yarn of sufficient thickness (100 m x 100 g is ideal. I love the 100% popsicle wool from Drops and 100% Perun alpaca in these hats.

Take knitting needles No. 6-7 for this yarn, circular, straight - it’s an individual matter. You can even knit in turning rows and then sew. I knit on short circular needles or on long line circular needles using the magicloop method. And you need to knit a sample! The density of this pattern is 16 loops in 10 cm. Author: Tatiana MK @tanya_svazala

Knitting pattern in the round:
1st row: *3 purl loops, 1 knit loop (Do not remove the loop, thread at work)*, repeat from * to * until the end of the row.
2nd row: *P3, k1*, repeat from * to * until the end of the row.

For turning knitting, edge loops are not included in the number of loops!:
1st row: *3 purl loops, 1 knit loop (remove the loop without knitting, thread at work)*, repeat from * to * until the end of the row.
2nd row: *P1 3 persons.p.*
Pattern repeat 4 loops x 2 rows

We cast on 64 loops on the knitting needles (I have size 6). With a different density, the quantity will change accordingly, but it should be a multiple of 4. We knit with a simple 1x1 elastic band about 9 cm.
Then we move on to the main pattern (I do not change the needles, the number of loops also does not change) and knit another 13-14 cm.

Decreases

Decreases should begin in an odd row: 1st row of decreases: * 1 purl stitch, 2 purl stitches together, 1 knit stitch dropped * repeat from * to * until the end of the row
2nd row of decreases: *P2, knit 1*, repeat from * to * until the end of the row.
3rd row of decreases: * 2 purl stitches, 1 knit stitch * repeat from * to * to the end of the row
We knit the 4th and 6th row of decreases as the 2nd row of decreases
We knit the 5th row of decreases as the 3rd row of decreases
7th row of decreases: *2 purl stitches together, 1 knit stitch dropped* repeat from * to * to the end of the row.
8th row of decreases: * purl 1, knit 1 * repeat from * to * to the end of the row
9th row of decreases *1 purl, 1 knit stitch* repeat from * to * to the end of the row.

Remember how, as a child, my mother forced me to wear a hat during the cold season. And we took off the hated headdress as soon as we were out of sight of our parents. Moms are right: your head must be protected from frost and sun. In addition, a hat is a way to demonstrate individuality, or, conversely, involvement in a particular clan or community. In different historical periods, the shape of the headdress was subject to fashion trends or style trends. Decorated with feathers, ribbons, jewelry, flowers and even cages with live birds, with veils, tassels - all kinds of luxurious structures people wore on their heads for the sake of fashion.

Humanity has come up with many ways to create caps, hats, and beanies. One of the ways is knitting - knitting or crocheting. When choosing a model, you should take into account individual characteristics - face shape, style of wearing a hat. The catalog contains free patterns of models for every taste and season.

What patterns are used for knitted hats

A variety of methods and patterns are used to create knitted hats. The choice of patterns and knitting method directly depends on the creator’s idea and the final goal. The following types of patterns are often used for knitting hats:

  • Relief patterns.Winter warm hats for women, men and children are excellently obtained using relief patterns from braids. Such patterns give the product volume, which retains heat. The choice of relief patterns is huge, you just need to make the right choice so that on a small object the beauty of the motif of intersecting braids is demonstrated in full.
  • Rubber band or eraser. One type of relief pattern is knitting with an elastic band. By alternating purl and knit stitches in a certain rhythm (1x1, 2x2, etc.) a dense and elastic knitted fabric is created. The “elastic band” pattern can be used both independently and to decorate the lower part of the product to create a fit between the bottom of the hat and the head.
  • Colored patterns. Colored jacquard patterns, also called Norwegian, are also suitable for knitting hats for the cold season. Broaches on the wrong side of the product create additional thickness. Winter models are knitted from wool. Warm types of hats are knitted in two threads or two hats are sewn together.
  • Openwork motifs. Light, openwork patterns are suitable for elegant women's berets of various sizes. In addition to hats for the spring - autumn season, openwork knitting is used to create Panama hats and summer hats.

Types and main differences of hats

Classifying the types of hats is a difficult task. The models have many common features, and the variety of finishes negates attempts to streamline the variety of hats.

  • Small knitted hat. Fits the head tightly, without pompoms or other decorative elements. Derived from balaclavas - hats worn under a helmet to soften blows. A convenient item of clothing for representatives of professions who are forced to wear special protective helmets on their heads: helmets, welding masks. A type of small knitted balaclava hat is a balaclava. Often in dark colors and knitted with an elastic band.
  • Beanie. Beanie hats are a type of knitted hat, but looser. Originated in the same way as the type of professional clothing in Europe. For some time they were considered a mandatory attribute of the student uniform, and had the colors of the educational institution. Freshmen wore yellow, and the process of changing from a yellow beanie to a cap in the colors of the Alma Mater is a kind of initiation.
  • Tuke. It has the appearance of a knitted tube, tapering towards the ends. Worn in two layers - one half nested inside the other, with a small turn-up. Distribution received from Canadian hats.
  • Willow hat. The next variety is small knitted hats, beanies, bundles. It gained popularity and name in the 90s among fans of the Finnish group HIM. The leader of the group, Ville Valo, had such a hat.
  • Hat-sock. This hat is a hat made of thick, thin knitwear. Looks like a sock on your head. Hence the name.
  • Stocking hat. A stocking cap is similar to a sock, but much longer. The end of the hat is worn like a scarf, wrapped around the neck.
  • Hat with pompom. If you sew a decorative element in the form of a pompom on top of a small knitted hat or bundle, you will get a hat with a pompom. At the beginning of its existence, it was considered an attribute of children's clothing. In the middle of the last century, such hats began to be worn by football fans in England, and, at first, they were considered a sign of bad taste and a challenge to society.
  • Beret. Soft, loose-fitting hat. It differs in volume depending on the knitting and yarn used. Initially it was also used by the military - it is convenient to wear under a helmet and tidy up hair. Berets are popular among representatives of creative professions.
  • Peruvian hat. A cap-shaped hat with ears and ties. Often knitted in a jacquard pattern. Such hats were and are worn by Indians in the Andes.
  • Monmouth hat. Round knitted wool and felted hat with small brim. Due to the manufacturing technology, it became practically waterproof. Therefore, it was used by English fishermen in the 16th-17th centuries.
  • Turban hat. A headdress reminiscent of a traditional oriental turban.

This division is arbitrary, because depending on the preferences of the owner, hats can combine common features from several models.

Selection of threads and knitting needles for autumn and winter

Threads and knitting needles are selected for the intended hat and purpose. Thick yarn is used for winter patterns. And the use of super thick wick yarn and large number knitting needles allows you to knit very loose, voluminous patterns. The knitting density depends on the pattern. Knit a sample, depending on the result, select knitting needles.

Using circular knitting needles, hats are knitted without a seam; this is important for making berets.

Hat decorations

In addition to knitting, shape and pattern, hats can be additionally decorated with decorative details - pompoms, tassels, spirals, knitted flowers. In addition to volumetric elements, the hat is decorated with embroidery or appliquĂŠ. The choice of decor depends on the model, style of headdress and personal preferences.

Homemade things always look very cute and cozy.

Hats are a great way to practice, especially since they are quite simple to make.

The main thing is accuracy and patience.

Loop designation:

  1. LP - facial.
  2. IP - purl.
  3. PP - patent (having dropped the top one, we insert the knitting needle into the next row below).
  4. KP - edge.
  5. L - front side.
  6. And - purl.

The latter, if there are no special features, is knitted like a purl.

It’s worth mentioning in advance that everyone’s head volume is individual, as is their knitting style. Therefore, you should find out in advance, taking into account all the factors, how many loops to cast on a hat of the required volume. We make a standard (small canvas) and count the number of loops in 1 cm. Below we will present the average values for a head volume of 55-60 cm.

Knitting methods

On circular knitting needles

  1. We connect the product in a circle. We swap the two outer loops, threading one into the other. Next we go with the desired pattern.
  2. We knit the entire product with canvas and sew it together at the end. This path is relevant if the fabric is really large and does not fit on ordinary knitting needles.

In both cases, do not forget that you need to gradually decrease the loops closer to the top. Usually this is clearly stated in the diagrams.

Joining the initial row on circular knitting needles. Video tutorial:

Garter stitch

We cast on and start knitting in rows: slip off the first stitch and then knit all the way to the last one (it’s purl). Closer to the top, we remove the loops and finally sew the product together using a knitting needle.

In a circle it will be more practical - no need to sew + the hat will have no unnecessary irregularities.

Garter stitch in the round with knitting needles. Video for beginners:

Stockinette stitch

The only difference from the previous point is the structure.

We always remove the first one, always remove the last one. We knit the rows alternately: one - the whole rib, the second - sp.

As a result, you will get two sides - the wrong side and the front side, on which the given pattern is located.

How to knit smooth stockinette stitch - video tutorial:

Hat with 5 spokes

The knitting principle is similar to circular knitting needles. Divide the cast-on loops evenly into 4 parts and distribute them over the knitting needles. It turns out to be a square along which we continuously go upward with the fifth knitting needle in the desired knitting pattern.

How to knit a warm hat for a woman with your own hands?

A simple mohair hat for beginners step by step

Using 4.5 mm knitting needles, cast on 75 stitches:

  1. L: 2lp. 1 ip + 1lp - to the last one.
  2. I: 1lp. 1 ip + 1lp.

So we knit a total of 10 rows (the last one is un).

We continue with the patent rubber band:

  1. L: 1lp. PP + 1lp - to the last one.
  2. I: 2lp. PP + 1lp.

We knit this way until the fabric is 26 cm in length. The last row is purl.

Top:

  1. L: 1lp. PP + 3ip together - up to two outer loops. PP + 1lp. Total: 39 p.
  2. I: 1lp. 1ip + 1lp - to the end of the row.
  3. L: 2lp together - to the last + 1lp. Total: 20p.
  4. And: 1ip + 2ip together 9 times + 1(0)ip. Total: 11 p.

From angora

You will need a ball of angora (150 grams with a margin), 5 mm circular knitting needles, double-edged knitting needles with a diameter of 5 mm, and a knitting marker.

Openwork pattern (loops are multiples of 7):

Let's go in circles:

  • lp - everything;
  • 1lp + 2lp together + throw p + 3lp + throw p + remove 1 p + 1 lp and pull it through the removed one - repeat;
  • lp - everything;
  • 2 kl together + throw on p + 3 kl + throw on p + remove 1 p + 1 kl and pull it through the removed one.

Repeat 1-4 circles of the pattern row.

Cast on 84 stitches on circular needles. We knit in garter stitch (all knit stitches) 2.5 cm long - do not join in a circle. We attach the marker to the first one and connect it into a circle. Repeat 1-4 circles + rows of openwork pattern 6 times.

Top of the cap:

When it is convenient (few loops), we switch to double-edged knitting needles.

We go in circles:

  • 10 stitches + 2 stitches together - to the last = 77 loops;
  • lp - everything;
  • 9 kl + 2 lp together = 70 loops;
  • lp - everything;
  • 8lp + 2lp together = 63;
  • lp - everything;
  • 7lp + 2lp together = 56;
  • 6lp + 2lp together = 49;
  • 5lp + 2lp together = 42;
  • 4lp + 2lp together = 35;
  • 3lp + 2lp together = 28;
  • 2lp + 2lp together = 21;
  • 1lp + 2lp together = 14;
  • 2lp together = 7.

Cut the thread, leaving a large end. We sew the hat together with a needle, pulling the empty loops together. We thread the thread from the set of loops into the needle and sew a garter stitch. At the end we hide the extra threads from the IC.

Warm from the grass

You only need number 6 knitting needles and grass yarn.

We cast on 60 sts and go with an elastic band (lp + sp) about 4 cm. Using a twisted yarn over, add one loop every sixth. This way the circle will expand. We knit 5 cm straight. Next, in each front row we remove the loop once every five loops.

We collect about 10 empty loops onto a double thread with a needle and close them. We sew the hat with a knitted seam.

For women over 50 years old

How to knit a beautiful fashionable hat: new models

Fashionable chunky knit

This is a very popular female youth model. Here you will need thick knitting needles (No. 10), yarn (at least 75 m per 100 g), and a hook.

We knit 44 loops in any pattern to the desired height (depending on the width of the lapel). Next, we remove - we knit each 5 and 6 together. Next, a row according to the pattern, and the next one - we remove all the sp, knitting them together with the lp. We follow the pattern in a new row.

We close the loops: we thread one into the other. Afterwards, we assemble the hat with a crochet, trying not to disturb the pomp.

Universal earflaps for women

If desired, you can knit in 2 threads.

For ears: Using 4mm knitting needles, cast on 6 stitches. We go with knit stitches, every 2 rows adding a loop from both edges - 6 times in total.

The size of the eyelet can be adjusted by changing the number of added loops and rows accordingly.

Base: Now let's collect the hat. One by one, we cast on the loops from the ears and new ones for the front and back ends of the cap onto the knitting needle. There will be 2 parts in total, which are connected with a mattress seam, since the back part will gradually expand. If it’s hard to imagine, you can compare it with a pattern.

As a result, we add a loop, knitting the loops of one ear using any technique (to taste). We cast on another 20 loops (for the front part), knit another eye and cast on another one.

Continue with any knitting stitch.

You can add patterns at your discretion. But it is necessary to add to increase the back of the cap (every second row) on both sides of the product:

1 time - 2 sts and 1 time - 3 sts. As a result, there will be approximately 8 rows (this is the full width of the entire product, which can be adjusted during the knitting process).

We set the height of the cap before further narrowing, knitting approximately 16 next to each other.

Decrease stitches: 1 kp. 5 kp = 2 p together (leaning to the right) + 2 kp + 2 p together (tilting to the left) + 5 kp - repeat 1 kp.

We perform the decrease cyclically only 4 times every 2 rows. The remaining ones are pulled together through 2 rows. Sew the hat.

To make a lapel, cast on 20 stitches and work in front rows to the desired height. We fasten the lapel by closing the loops.

To weave braids, cut 18 threads 1 m long. Fold it in half and thread it into the bottom loop of the ears.

Knitting pattern for a beanie hat (stocking hat, sock hat, cap)

The peculiarity of this model is that it is necessary to knit a product that is quite large in length using threads and knitting needles of medium thickness.

We cast on the required number of loops on the knitting needles (preferably circular 4 mm). We go up with an elastic band (lp + sp) 25 cm. Next we decrease the loops. We knit 1lp and 1ip together every three rows. When there are only three, we close them with a working thread.

We gain the height of the hat (on average 26 sts) and knit to a length equal to half the circumference of the head minus 2 cm. Divide the loops into 2 equal parts. We set aside one part, and knit 4 rows on the second.

We place the knitted half over the unknitted half and knit further, putting them on one knitting needle (remembering to follow the features of the pattern). If there are 2 loops of the same type together (for example, a stitch next to a stitch), then we knit them together, but then at the end you need to add 1 stitch.

Close, knitting to the required length. We cast on loops along the entire length of the fabric and work 9 rows with an English elastic band. Then we go with an elastic band (1 by 1) 2.5 cm. Next - the bottom of the hat in garter stitch, 2 rows.

Next, we reduce the loops by half, knitting together - lp over sp so that it is on top. 4 rows of simple stockinette stitch, then 2 rows of double stockinette stitch. Next, together 2 rows of 2 stitches. Close off the free ones. The bottom of the cap should be steamed through a damp cloth.

With visor

Prepare a silicone or cardboard visor in advance.

We knit 80 stitches in stockinette stitch in a circle for 5 rows. You need to mark the beginning of the row with a marker, or you can simply leave a tail of the thread. We divide the product into 3 parts: 18, 44 (there will be a visor here), 18 loops. For the visor, we add 10 every 4, then we begin to decrease, the sizes depend on the dimensions of the visor.

By the way, the upper part should be made larger than the lower part. We bend it in half and use a working thread to knit: one loop from the visor, the second from the base of the hat. Halfway through we insert the visor and finish the job. Next, we knit the hat with the desired model.

Stylish with a pompom for a girl with knitting needles

The model of the cap can be virtually any, so below there will only be instructions for making a pompom.

We cut out two bagels from cardboard - the size of the future pompom will depend on the width. We wind the thread on the bagels in a very thick layer - the thicker, the fluffier, you can even use two layers. Then we cut off the remaining thread and bring the end inward.

We begin to cut the threads along the edge of the donut - in half. At the same time, insert a new thread between the two pieces of cardboard to prevent the pompom from unraveling. Everything needs to be done gradually, controlling the progress of all threads.

At the end, we tie the pompom with the thread that goes inside the donut. After tightening it tightly, you can remove the cardboards. We cut off the protruding threads, bringing the pom-pom into a decent appearance.

Sew the pompom to the knitted cap.

How to knit a warm double hat for the winter with knitting needles?

We cast on 12 loops and close them in a circle. We go down with the desired pattern. Starting from the second row, add 8 loops 12 times in each 2nd row. In this case, the loops should be divided into 4 parts and added at the beginning after the first loop and at the end before the last loop. Next, we knit 122 rows straight down, after which we decrease them in a mirror image to the top.

At the end we close it, securing it with a working loop. We screw one half inward to create a lining for the hat.

With ears

Using 4 mm knitting needles, cast on 7 stitches and knit: kp + sp + kp + sp + lp + il + kp.

7 times we add 2 on both sides with LS, taking into account the features of the canvas pattern. We reach the desired ear width (21 is the minimum).

We knit the second ear in the same way.

Let's move on to the base of the hat, which should preferably be knitted on circular knitting needles:

  1. Cast on loops (connecting parts adjacent): 33 (front) + 21 (eye) + 33 (back) + 21 (eye)
  2. We knit 4 rows with a 1 by 1 elastic band, trying to even out the pattern of the fabric.
  3. Let’s start knitting with the “harness” pattern - alternately swapping the parts of the knitting. The loops are distributed as follows:
  4. Main part: 7p elastic band + 6p harness + 7p + 6pzh + 7p = 33p.

Eyelet: 6pzh + 1ip + 6pzh + 1pz + 6 pzh = 20 loops. You need to discreetly decrease 1 loop, observing the features of the pattern.

We insert the remaining yarn into the ties, pulling them through the bottom loop and weaving a long braid.

Winter knitted with lapel

Number of loops = 4n+2 (average 98) You can knit on any knitting needles, but you need to consider what exactly you want to get. Based on this, we select the diameter and type of knitting needles.

We knit with an elastic band 2 by 2 (2p + 2p) until the desired height is reached.

We begin to gradually decrease:

  • We knit 2p together, leaving the edges;
  • follow the drawing;
  • We knit 2 knits together, taking into account the edges;
  • according to the drawing;
  • we knit 2 adjacent ones as one single stitch;
  • ip - everything.

We fix and mask the end of the thread with the IC. We tuck the edges of the hat.

Snood hat

You will need circular knitting needles No. 5 and 200 g of yarn.

The length and width of this model can be any - it depends on your desires. A wide hat can be styled much more effectively. The classic one is knitted with Polish elastic.

We cast on the required number of loops, connect them in a circle and knit cyclically in rows:

  • 3lp + 1 sp - repeat;
  • 2lp + 1 sp + 1 lp - repeat.

Patterns for hats with knitting needles: diagrams and descriptions

English rubber band

This model is almost dimensionless. On average, we cast on 78 loops (for a simplified formula, the number of stitches cast on is 4n+2) on needles No. 4.

If desired, you can make an elastic headband from a 1 by 1 elastic band that can be tucked under. Otherwise, we make a headband with an elastic band 2 by 2 = 8 rows

We knit with an English elastic band: in the first row we make increases (= 95 sts).

A simplified version of the English gum:

  • 3lp + ip - repeat;
  • 2lp + ip + lp - repeat.

You can learn how to knit the classic version of the English rib using YouTube, but they look no different.

We knit upwards to make it 25 cm from the base. We begin to gradually decrease the singing, always knitting 3 together. In the first row, we take into account the outer edges, then ignore them and knit 3 along with the rest.

Finally, tighten the loops and sew the product along the seam. Keep in mind that you cannot tighten it too much, as the hat should turn out fluffy.

Stylish with braids

We cast on 94 sts and go (with knitting needles No. 4) with an elastic band (2 knits, 2 sp) about 6 cm. Move on to the braids:

  • 2ip + 6lp + 2ip + 2lp - repeat;
  • We knit according to the pattern, respectively, ip-ip and lp-lp.

On the 7th row of this knitting we make overlaps in a place with 6 lp. This can be done using toothpicks, alternately knitting the desired parts. Then we continue to follow the pattern 2ip + 2p + 2p and overlap again.

After the braids, we knit a row along the IS according to the pattern.

We perform the cycle described above only 3 times (3 overlaps are obtained).

Rubber band 2 by 2

We cast on the required number of loops and go in a circle to achieve the desired height of the hat:

  • We knit the first sp under the second sp - the whole row;
  • We knit 5 cm straight;
  • (lp, sp, lp) - together + lp + sp + lp - the whole row;
  • knit directly according to the pattern;
  • 3lp-together + un - the whole row;
  • ip under lp;
  • insert the thread into the loose loops and tighten.

How to knit a hat for a girl?

A cat hat is an ideal option for a child.

Prepare the ears: cast on 17 loops and knit 4 rows in turn:

The sharpness of the ears can be adjusted - it depends on the moment of the end.

The hat model can be almost anything - it all depends on your creativity. The main point is to form groups of wedges when we begin to decrease the loops. Their number should be even (usually 6) so that it is clear where to sew the ears.

Unusual knitted hats

Patent rubber band

We cast on the loops and distribute them equally among 4 knitting needles. Next we use a classic 1 by 1 elastic band so that the edges do not stretch. In this case, we knit the rib using the back thread (crossed).

After 8 of these next to each other, we begin to knit with a patent elastic band with the following features:

  • ip double crochet;
  • we remove the lp with a double crochet, and we knit the sp (which were removed in the previous row) with a double crochet like purl4
  • We remove the sp with a double crochet, and we knit the l with a double crochet like knit stitches.

So we knit 20 cm, then we begin to narrow it: we remove the stitch, we knit the next one like a stitch, threading the previous one into it.

We knit the entire row in this way - there will be half as many loops. Next is the entire series of LPs, and repeat cyclically. When there are few loops, tighten them with thread and hide the end with the IP.

Original two-color

A two-color cap can be of any model, so the general method for introducing a thread of a different color will be described below.

Let the fabric be knitted with an elastic band 1 by 1. If you want to make vertical stripes of different colors, then here the division will be along the lines of the rib and sp. We simply draw the second thread next to the first. When you need it, we knit it; otherwise, we remove it with a crochet.

In the case of wide horizontal stripes, you can trim and tie in knots, and then mask with IS.

Another option is to knit in two threads (in different colors, respectively). Or you can buy multi-colored yarn.
