Ureaplasmosis

If you don’t yet know how to knit the heel of a sock, then spiral knitting using a simple elastic band is a great way for you to get a warm, dimensionless product made from wool yarn. Master the alternation of knit and purl stitches: 2 knit and 2 purl (2x2); 5 knit and 5 purl (5x5).

After making a 2x2 elastic pattern, decide on the required shin coverage and the number of starting loops. Divide them into 4 equal parts. Cast on the required number of thread arches, place them on four double needles and work a 2x2 rib 3-4 cm high in the round. Now you will continue knitting the socks in a spiral.

Make 4 circles, but with 5x5 alternations. Having finished knitting on the fourth double needle, attach a piece of colored thread at the end of the row to mark an important point of work. At this point you will begin to offset the stitches for the spiral pattern. Work the next circle of rib, but move the pattern 1 stitch to the left.

Work 4 rounds and move the thread marker to the beginning of the current round. Move the elastic pattern to the left again by 1 thread. Knit further, looking at the finished sample. You should end up with a pipe-like fabric that will twist in a spiral shape.

Having knitted the product of the required size, make a toe:

On knitting needles Nos. 1 and 3, knit 2 stitches together;

On knitting needles No. 2 and 4, remove the second loop without knitting;

Knit the next one and pull the removed one through;

Work according to the pattern until the number of stitches in knitting is reduced to 8;

Pull the working thread through the remaining arms, pull the toe and cut the yarn;

- tuck the “tail” into the finished spiral sock.

Make a paired product according to the sample.

note: you will get a simple, spiral-shaped one, like the whole sock. This product is especially recommended for children: the length of the sole is dimensionless, and it only becomes small as the circumference of the shin increases.

Socks on 2 knitting needles: a simple knitting method

The second way to knit socks on knitting needles will quickly and easily help you cope with the task, but in this case you will end up with a sewn product. Start your work with a 2x2 elastic band sample and use it to find out the girth of the shin and the desired length of the cast-on edge. Cast on the loops on 2 knitting needles, connected by fishing line, and make a fabric 4-6 cm high in straight and reverse rows.

Continue knitting the sock on 2 needles with knit stitches for approximately 22 rows (to the beginning of the heel). Select half of the work on the fishing line and knit it 12 rows in height. In the same knitted part of the fabric, mark a dozen central loops and begin to decrease the thread bows along the edges:

Knit 8 loops;

Knit 9 and 10 stitches together;

Work next 8 stitches;

Knit 2 loops together;

Knit the remaining loops.

Decrease the heel fabric in each row, reducing the number of side loops of the piece, until 8 thread arches remain. Place the edges of the resulting part of the product on the knitting needles and continue knitting the sock on 2 knitting needles until you bring the work to the toe. To form it, divide the knitting into 4 segments and knit a pair of adjacent loops together in each until there are 4 left on the knitting needles. Pull the toe and tighten its tip with a working thread. Make a connecting seam. Make a paired product according to the sample.

Helpful advice: You can knit socks with a simple knitting pattern using alternating strips of different yarns. To enhance the wear resistance of the heel, the part can be made with two layers of thread.

For relatives who will come in handy during the winter cold. Even novice needlewomen can do this task. With detailed step-by-step instructions, this process is easy for those who know how to knit and purl stitches. And with the help of video tutorials and master classes you can learn several interesting ways of knitting socks. Here we will look step by step at the classic method of knitting socks on 5 knitting needles.

Knitting socks on 5 needles for beginners

For socks, one standard skein of thread will be enough. Even if the size of the socks large - you can always find leftover yarn for finishing with colored stripes.

For short socks you need 150 g, for long socks - 200 g

Preparatory stage

We need a set of 5 knitting needles, since we will knit the sock in the classic way: from the top to the toe.

For example, we will knit size 27 men's socks. The set will be 64 loops. Below is a step-by-step description of the process.

Step 1

We knit the sock cuff. It is usually 5-6 cm. To do this, distribute 16 stitches onto 4 knitting needles and begin knitting a 2X2 elastic band: knit 2 stitches and purl 2 stitches. We knit in the round. So knit 5 cm. Next you need to move to the front stitch and knit everything only with knit stitches for another 10 cm.

Step 2

We knit the heel. Let's start shaping the heel. To do this, take half the loops on one knitting needle (32 pcs.) and knit them only in stockinette stitch: all with knit stitches only.

You need to knit 6 cm. Then we divide the loops into 3 parts as follows:

side – 11 sts, central part – 10 sts

We start decreasing from the purl row. We knit 2 parts of loops - side 11 and central 9. Knit the 10th central one together with the side adjacent to it. Turn the work and on the front side the first loop is removed unknitted. And remove the last central one, then knit the first side one and pull it through the removed central one. Turn the work around. Decrease in this manner until all side loops are closed. Only 10 central ones will remain on the spoke. Now you need to cast on 11 sts along the side edges of the heel, and continue knitting, distributing the central ones into 5 pcs. to the sides.

Step 3

We knit the foot. When all 4 knitting needles are involved in the work, we simply continue knitting in the round using stockinette stitch. If you want the sock to fit tighter, you can make a decrease at the heel by knitting two loops together on both sides, then on 2 knitting needles instead of 16 stitches there will be 15 pcs.

The formation of the foot is performed up to the little toe. Then they proceed to decrease.

Step 4

Knitting a toe. To do this, we perform a decrease according to the following scheme:

So decrease every other row until there are 8 pieces left on the knitting needles. After that, go to decrease in each row. When there is 1 piece left. on each knitting needle, combine them by 2, knit 2 together and the last 2 pcs. close. Pull the thread to the wrong side and fasten. Or you can close the last 4 loops by pulling the thread through them.

We will knit the second sock in the same way as described above..

This is a classic way of knitting not only socks, but stockings and golf.

We have made good quality men's socks, which are usually knitted from camel wool. Caring housewives, when knitting men's and children's socks, add additional synthetic thread to the heel and toe for strength.

For women's socks, you usually need to cast on 11-13 loops per knitting needle; for children's socks, 8 to 10 loops are enough.

More information about the classic method can be found in many video lessons on the Internet.

Today there are many video master classes on knitting with non-standard execution of socks.

Let's consider a description of another simpler method of knitting a sock on 2 knitting needles.

Knitting socks on 2 knitting needles

With this method we get neat, beautiful socks, which, despite the seam at the top, do not differ at all from those knitted in a circle. And the knitting method itself is simpler and more convenient than using 4 knitting needles.

We knit women's socks, for this we dial 52 p.

Sequence of work

  1. We knit an elastic band. Remove 1 stitch, then follow the pattern *2L, P2*, the last one is knit

You need to knit an odd number of rows, we have 17.

We sew the sock itself differently. On the front side we thread the thread under the horizontal thread of the loop. You can see this stitching pattern in more detail in the video tutorial.

The result should be a sock, in which the seam is completely invisible. But you can sew such a sock, decorating it with colored trim.

Both of the above methods are very easy to implement. You can try both options, choosing, for example, the classic circular method for knitting men's socks, and the second method for children's socks, which makes it possible to decorate the sock along the seam to your liking.

Have fun.

Beautiful knitted socks for beginners in knitting and crocheting, and those who want to learn new techniques. Examples of knitting and crochet.

Knitted wool socks are not only warm, but also very beautiful. For those who don't leaf through craft magazines, DIY knitted socks are associated with grandma's ugly, albeit warm, creations.

But today, knitted socks are just as fashionable a masterpiece of handicraft as a sweater, cardigan, or snood.

But in order for the socks to be not only warm, but also to please for a long time, it is necessary to take into account some nuances.

Do you want nice socks? Don't skimp on yarn. Cheap threads do not have the necessary wool composition or bright, stand-out colors. Pure wool is not suitable for socks; they will tingle and wear out twice as fast. The optimal yarn options are 50-80% wool, the rest acrylic.

Have you decided to knit fluffy socks? Angora is an excellent material, but only if you are not knitting for a child. Firstly, such socks will tingle and your feet will itch. Secondly, children put everything into their mouths to try, so you shouldn’t give them the opportunity to eat the fluff.

Choosing knitting needles or crochet hook

The choice depends on the thickness of the yarn. The main reference point is the inscription on the yarn label. But we all knit differently - some tightly, some loosely. Before you start knitting a sock, knit a sample. It should not be “knocked down”, but the holes should not be visible (since the aesthetic appearance will be ruined when worn).

Product care

It is recommended to wash knitted items by hand, pre-soaking them in warm water. Do not squeeze in the machine or with your hands. It’s better to squeeze the sock in your hands, allowing most of the water to drain out. Hang and wait for natural drying. Drying on radiators and heaters also shortens the life of the product.

Knitted socks for beginners

These socks are traditionally knitted on five needles. The yarn is half-wool. The master class is just the basics; once you master it, you can add all sorts of patterns, make narrow or wide stripes, and so on.

We knit a pattern for calculating loops: 10 loops per 10 rows. We take measurements as in the photo.

Now we determine the average circumference in this way: plus the circumference of the instep and legs, divide by two. For us it is 31 and 21. Total 26 cm. Now we calculate how many centimeters are in 10 loops in your sample, determine the number of loops in 26 cm. Now divide by 4 (4 knitting needles) and if the number is not divisible, add several loops until the multiple.

We cast on the loops on two knitting needles, distribute them in knitting the first row onto 4 knitting needles.

We knit an elastic band 1*1 or 2*2 5-6 cm, but you can do more or less depending on your desire. Do you want the elastic to be elastic until the end of the sock? Add a matching elastic thread to the yarn while knitting the elastic.

The next step is knit 7-9 cm.

Now we combine two knitting needles into one and knit 6 cm on them (heel height), depending on the height of the leg, this can be slightly increased.

We divide the loops into three parts, placing the extra ones in the middle part. We make the first row on the wrong side so that the last one is on the face. We shorten it this way: we knit 1/3 of the knitting and knit the last loop of the first part with the first loop of the central part into one loop.

We knit the middle part and also shorten the last loop of the middle part and the first loop of the third part.

Turn it over onto your face and continue to shorten, while only the edges are shortened, the middle remaining smooth. We continue until all the loops are closed.

Now it’s best to take a hook to help. Raise the loops on the sides of the heel as in the photo. Again we divide everything into parts and knit the length to the little toe (depending on the size of your foot). How convenient it is to knit a sock in the round - you can measure it.

Now we begin the reduction. First knitting needle: pull the first two stitches together. Second needle: pull the last two stitches together. Third needle: pull the first two stitches together. Fourth needle: pull the last two stitches together.

Knit like this until there are 2 loops on each knitting needle. In order to get a “blunt” tip, close 4 in 1 loops. If you want a “sharp” tip of the sock. 2 in 1, and then again 4 in 1.

Tighten the thread and tuck it into the resulting seam.

Knitted openwork socks

The previous master class is good because it teaches the basics of knitting a sock on five knitting needles, but for a masterpiece it is too simple. But these socks will become the pride of the needlewoman, and even a picky teenager will wear them with pleasure.

The yarn for such socks should not be thick, wool blend.

No one will refuse warm and soft knitted socks in winter. Anyone who has any idea about knitting can make them. Beginning needlewomen will only need to know a few simple patterns to please their family members with beautiful and warm products. You will also need a pattern for knitting socks on 5 knitting needles.

Necessary materials

If you decide to knit socks for someone in the family, you need to first stock up on everything you need. First of all, you will need a set of knitting needles, which can be purchased at any store offering handicraft supplies. You can also buy yarn right away. For an adult, 5 knitting needles can be made from 150 g of woolen threads. If we are talking about making such products for a child, then you will need about 50-70 g of yarn.

You also need to take measurements while knitting, so have a portable ruler handy. A pattern for knitting socks on 5 knitting needles, which can be found in this article, will help beginner needlewomen cope with the job.

Where to start knitting?

In order for future socks to fit a person, you need to calculate the number of loops. To do this, you will need to knit a small sample, which will allow you to make the correct calculations. To make it, it is enough to cast on 15 loops and knit about 15 rows. After this, you need to measure the sample with a ruler without stretching it. The number of stitches cast on is subsequently divided by the centimeters obtained.

Next, you need to make the necessary measurements that will allow you to determine the width of the future product. First you need to take two measurements. The first is the circumference of the leg in the area of the bone, and the second is the circumference of the foot along the instep. The data obtained must be summed up and divided in half: this value will be the optimal width of the sock. After these measurements, you need to multiply the previously obtained number of loops included in 1 cm of the previously knitted sample by the calculated width of the sock. When casting on loops, it is worth considering that their number should be a multiple of 4, since the fabric will be distributed over four knitting needles.

Knitting pattern for socks on 5 knitting needles: getting started

Making socks often begins with knitting the cuff. The first step is to cast on the required number of loops and distribute them evenly on all the knitting needles while knitting the first row. For this, an elastic band in which there is an alternation of front and back loops is best suited. If men's socks are knitted on 5 knitting needles, then the optimal height of the cuff will be about 8 cm. In children's products, it should be made about 3-4 cm.

After the cuff is ready, the transition to the main pattern is carried out. For beginning needlewomen, it is enough to know how to knit knit stitches and to knit socks on 5 knitting needles. If you wish, you can use the simplest patterns or make the socks multi-colored. Regardless of color, the yarn used for knitting should be of the same thickness and texture.

After making the cuff, a leg of the selected length is knitted. Based on personal preference, you can make your socks short or high.

How is the heel knitted?

From half of all the cast-on loops, which are located on two knitting needles, the heel is knitted. The fabric located on the first and second knitting needles is not yet knitted. If socks are knitted (see mk) on 5 knitting needles, then the height of the heel will be about 6 cm. In women's socks, its height is 5 cm, and in children's socks - 3-4 cm. Since the heel is most susceptible to wear, when knitting it, it is not superfluous will use stronger threads in addition to wool, for example, darning. Once the heel is ready, the extra thread is removed and the foot is knitted using only wool yarn.

The loops on the remaining two knitting needles can be gathered onto pins, then they will not slip. Otherwise, it is better to make special plugs from an eraser for the tips of the knitting needles.

Once the heel height matches the size, you can begin to decrease the stitches. To do this, you need to divide the loops into three parts. If their number is not a multiple of three, then the side parts are made identical, and the extra loops remain in the middle. One side part and the central part are knitted. The last loop of the central part and the first side one are knitted together. After this, the product is turned over to the front side. The first loop after turning is simply removed without knitting. Next you need to knit the central part. You need to knit its last loop together with the first loop of the side part, and make a turn again. Knitting continues until all the loops of the side parts are cut.

Transition to foot knitting

Once the heel is ready, you can proceed to making the footprint. The first step is to restore the number of loops. This is done as follows: new loops are cast on from the side of the knitted heel. First, this needs to be done on one side with a knitting needle, on which the remaining heel loops are located. After this, the loops that are on the third and fourth knitting needles are knitted. Next, the set of loops from the other side of the heel is repeated. It is also necessary to transfer half the loops of the central part of the heel to the first knitting needle.

After distributing the loops, the foot is knitted. When it reaches the beginning of the thumb, you need to move on to decreasing it.

How is the toe formed?

The last part of the sock is called the toe. If children's socks are knitted on 5 knitting needles, then the heel and end of the sock can be made from threads of a different color, making the product more vibrant. When knitting a toe, you can also use an additional stronger thread. This will protect your socks from premature wear.

To form a rounding, you must first knit the 1st and 3rd knitting needles through a row of two loops together. The same decreases are made at the end of the 2nd and 4th needles. Having reduced the number of all loops to half, you need to make further cuts in each row. When there are 8 loops left on the knitting needles, you need to move on to finishing the work. To do this, you need to pull the thread through the remaining loops, tighten it and securely fasten it.

Final work

Knitting socks on 5 knitting needles is not at all difficult. The main thing is to make accurate measurements. It is also important to correctly calculate the required number of loops. The above pattern for knitting socks on 5 knitting needles will also help beginning needlewomen.

In order for the finished products to look beautiful, they need to be steamed. To do this, iron the socks through a slightly damp cloth. You cannot iron the cuff, because after this it will not be fixed on the leg, and the sock will slide down.

Noskov, there was a question - how to close knitting in a circle? No matter who I turned to, the answers were extremely vague - “divide the loops into 4 knitting needles and knit,” and even when they seemed to explain it to me, I didn’t understand. For example, why do you need a fifth spoke? How to make a circle continuous? All the time I ended up with just a wide, open fabric, I was tormented, thinking where to fit the working thread, and until I “finished” it myself, I was very tired. And now for those who, like me, were once looking for an answer to the question - how to knit on five needles - the first part of my lesson!

Dear needlewomen! I want to warn you that in this master class I knitted the loops “grandmother’s way” - behind the back wall of the loop. This method is not classical, and in many sources the products are knitted in the “classical way”. When knitting using the “grandmother’s” method in the round, the fabric may curl! Read more about methods of knitting loops.

We cast on loops on 2 knitting needles. I will knit socks for a woman with foot size 38, cast on 15 by 4 = 60 stitches. For different yarns, and for different leg widths, the number of loops will be different. Let me just say that with woolen yarn I cast on 15-16 (for 4) loops for a man, 14-15 for a woman, 8 for a child 1-2 years old, 10 for 3-4 years old.

Take the knitting needles in your hands so that in your left hand there is a knitting needle with the right side not connected to the others, and put the working thread on your index finger. Knitting needle with working thread under the left knitting needle.

And knit it. In knitting in the round, there are no edge loops and therefore no loops are removed - they are all knitted.

Going clockwise, finishing knitting on one knitting needle, move on to the other. For the first loop of each knitting needle, take the working thread from the previous knitting needle.

And all subsequent rows of elastic. The height of the elastic is a matter of taste. For example, my husband asks me to knit a small elastic band for him - 10 rows, and I generally knit knee socks for myself and my daughter (if you want to knit knee socks, you need to cast on 4-16 more stitches, depending on the girth of your calves, and then either in an elastic band or make narrowings in the facial loops). Here I knitted 25 rows of elastic.

Then I switch to stockinette stitch - knit all the stitches and also knit in the round. In knitting in the round, there are no purl rows - all the rows are knitted, since we essentially do not knit the front and back of the fabric, but only on one side - the outside.

5 rows. Rows of stockinette stitch can also be knitted in a different number of rows - from 1 to 15, or you can not knit them at all, but go straight from the elastic to the heel.

Now you need to transfer the loops from the next knitting needle onto the knitting needle that goes further along the knitting line (behind the working thread). Take the knitting stitch at the junction of these needles.

And the other seven. Ready! Our knitting from a square has turned into this triangle!

So, today we figured out how to knit the first part of the sock - the elastic band, continued - and in the following master classes.
