Decor of bottles for the New Year of foreign craftswomen. Decoupage bottles of champagne for the new year. What is decoupage

Colpitis

Decorating champagne for the festive table has already become not uncommon. A bright and beautiful bottle can be bought at holiday fairs, but the best thing is to make such a bottle yourself. Buy any champagne you like. We will decoupage champagne in such a way that the bottle can decorate the table for any occasion.

1. Labels must be removed from the bottle before decoupage. Since they are glued by special machines, this is not an easy task, you need to soak the bottle in water for several hours. Only then can you scrape off the wet adhesive paper with a knife. Then, wipe the glass with acetone or alcohol to remove the smallest dirt and marks from your fingers.

2. Glass must be prepared for further work - painted white, which will become the background for the design, and only then proceed to decoupage. With a foam sponge, apply white acrylic paint in an even layer on the glass, do not forget about the bottom of the bottle.

3. You need to leave the champagne for 1 hour so that the paint dries well. In the meantime, you can choose a pattern for decoupage. Such a festive bouquet will look very noble: sprigs of pine, holly and mistletoe flowers.

4. We try on a napkin to the bottle and tear off the desired fragment (you should not cut it so that the border of the fragment is not visible in the future).

5. Decoupage can be done using special glue, but in order for the napkin to lie down without wrinkles, experience is needed. Therefore, it is advisable to purchase a special glue that allows you to stick and tear off the napkin from the surface. For example, such an IDEA glue from Maimeri (Italy). We spray it on the reverse side of the torn fragment, the napkin becomes sticky.

6. We apply it with the sticky side to the painted bottle and carefully smooth it with your hand. If wrinkles form, tear off the napkin and glue it again.

7. The joint between the edges of the fragment must be selected so that the napkin does not overlap.

8. Just during the fitting - cut off the excess. The bottle should have a single composition of branches.

9. Then glue the fragment glued in this way with special glue for decoupage. Now the napkin is firmly stuck to the champagne.

10. So that your decoupage is not damaged in the future, you need to open it with one layer of acrylic varnish.

11. Since the drawing is glued to a white surface, it's time to start painting. Mix the desired colors of paints so that the tone matches the main color of the napkin. In this case, we have a dirty beige color, and we get it by mixing light champagne, burnt umber and silver acrylic paints.

12. With a small brush, apply the resulting color around the glued fragment. The further you move the brush away from the branch, the more silver you add so that the bottom of the bottle and the foil go almost completely to silver.

13. When the background painting is dry, you can add nuances to the image of the New Year's branch. The stamens of the flowers are highlighted with gold glitter.

14. We cover the pine branches with multi-colored glitter so that after drying it shimmers on needles.

15. We make holly berries voluminous by applying a transparent contour to each.

16. We cover the entire decoupage bottle with glossy acrylic varnish. Now the painting is securely fixed under it.

17. On the main background, we spray with bright green acrylic paint. Dip a hard toothbrush into the paint and run your thumb over the bristles towards you. Thus, small splashes, falling on the bottle, combine the twig with the main background into a single composition.

18. To hide the uneven coloring around the bottom of the foil, you can decorate in this place with a silver acrylic outline. At the end of the work, cover the decoupage with the last layer of acrylic varnish.

19. You will probably not be able to buy such a bottle anywhere. It is made by your hands, in a single copy.

Video on decorating champagne using Decoupage technique

More recently, in Russia, people began to relax during the New Year holidays with the whole family. Not only schoolchildren and students, but also the working population has the opportunity to visit relatives, take a walk, go in for sports and devote time to their favorite hobby.
Decoration of interior items in technology is gaining more and more popularity among the fair sex. You can decorate in this way not only cutting boards, photo frames and other little things, but also bottles, for example, with champagne. These works will decorate the table, refresh it, make it special. Even if you didn’t have time in the bustle to master a new technique of creativity all year long, you can do it just on New Year’s days.
In this master class, we will consider the technique of direct decoupage from a file, while we will put the pattern on the bottle around, with the edge over the edge. When decorating directly with a napkin, champagne will stand, and not lie on its side, as when gluing a small motif.
Here it will be useful to indicate the terms used by the masters of this technique.
A motif is a drawing from a napkin or decoupage card, which will be located on the surface. The primer is acrylic paint or a mixture of paint with PVA glue, which is applied to the glass in the first and second layers.
For decoupage, PVA glue is usually used, slightly diluted with water. It is also important to remember that when wet, the size of the napkin increases by approximately 0.5 cm on each side, which is very noticeable if you first apply a dry napkin to the surface to determine the boundaries where the motif will lie.

Materials and tools

The craftswoman should always have toothpicks, cotton buds, sheets of paper or newspapers, cotton wool at hand. All this can be found in every home. Pay attention to the reasonable arrangement of the workplace, to the protection of hands, face (especially eyes) from the effects of varnishes and paints. Therefore, it will not be superfluous to purchase gloves, masks, etc. In addition to the above, prepare:
  • acrylic paints: white and mother-of-pearl;
  • regular brushes, as for watercolors;
  • a sponge sponge or a piece of dry dishwashing sponge attached to a clothespin;
  • acrylic lacquer;
  • sandpaper the smallest;
  • acrylate putty for decorative work;
  • napkins of a suitable theme, I took New Year's ones;
  • branches of an artificial Christmas tree, real cones;
  • for artificial snow foam balls;
  • PVA glue for paper and cardboard or construction;
  • scissors;
  • clerical file, better dense.

Inspiration, creative message and free time, as well as a good mood, will also come in handy. In time, work can take several days, since it is necessary to dry each layer thoroughly, but when using a hair dryer, it can be accelerated to several hours.

Beginning of work

Purchase good quality champagne.

As in the case of reworking an old one, old decorative layers must be removed before applying any type of coating. When decorating a bottle, these are labels and excise stamps. First I soak the glass in water, then I remove the label with a brush. Paper and glue residue can be easily removed with vegetable oil and sandpaper, rubbing the bottle vigorously.

Choose a napkin in advance.

Before you start priming the glass, degrease it with window cleaner or alcohol.
Add PVA glue to the paint and prepare a foam sponge.

Apply the primer to the surface with small dotted movements.

Two or three layers is enough. Let the bottle dry or dry thoroughly with a hair dryer on all sides.
Now take fine sandpaper and sand the surface.

In the process of grinding, you will realize that the graininess is not completely removed. In order to prepare the surface for decoupage from a file, take an acrylate putty.

Apply the paste to the bottle in the thinnest layer. To do this, take a plastic card of any bank instead of a spatula, or just use your finger. You can also remove excess with a thread. The bottle should be on its side.

Let's use the hair dryer again. The paste dries very quickly.

Cover the bottom of the bottle with it as well.

If necessary, go over the surface with a jumper again. Here is how smooth the bottle turned out as a result. Now she is ready to apply the motive.

Decoupage

The easiest way to decoupage for beginners is to decoupage from a file. I chose a motif depicting Christmas balls, cinnamon, fir branches. The drawing does not end on a quarter of the napkin, as usual, but is located on the half, as shown in the figure.

If you wrap a bottle with a napkin, it becomes clear that you will have to reduce it a little. But let's not rush.
Make the edges of the motif uneven by cutting them off. Unfold the napkin.

You may have to iron the motif from the inside on the “silk” mode.

Lay the colorful layer of the tissue paper on the file, pattern side down, and start dripping water on top of it, from the middle to the edges. It is necessary that the entire napkin is in the water. In fact, by straightening it, you will not touch the paper with a brush, you will touch the water, and the napkin will straighten itself.

Smooth out the motif, expel the air from under it, the folds will straighten out. However, do not keep the tissue in the water for too long! The edges of the motif can be safely removed, as the paper has increased in size.
The motif on the file can be raised in this way, as shown in the figure.

Lubricate the bottle thickly with PVA glue, while diluting it is not necessary in this case.

Now the most interesting and most difficult part of the work begins. Starting from the middle of the motif, lean the file against the bottle, but not all at once, but only the middle, and iron the file with your hands up and down, and also a little to the sides.

Next, you need to put one edge of the napkin on the glue and slowly separate it from the file. If necessary, straighten with a wide brush with water, but it is better to stick evenly immediately.

The photo below clearly shows that one part of the napkin is still on the file, and the other is already on the bottle.

Now overlap the rest of the napkin, adding a little glue. This whole process requires skill, attention and concentration. If necessary, carefully cut off the excess part of the image.

Take a look at the following photo. It shows that the last part of the napkin did not stick very evenly, and when trying to smooth the motif, it began to tear. At this stage, if this happens to you, it is best to exhale. Let the napkin dry naturally, a hair dryer will only hurt here.

Glue now the top of the napkin, which previously remained just in the air. If creases form, they can be removed later with sandpaper.
Pick a color and finish the background with the same sponge.

While the paint dries, prepare the fake snow. To do this, mix white paint, PVA glue and semolina or such foam balls as in the photo.

Coat the bottle with two coats of varnish and let it dry. Before that, it was possible to depict patterns on the surface.
Close the lid with foil and apply artificial snow on it.

In conclusion, hide the bumps and the "seam" of the napkin with a few sprigs of an artificial Christmas tree or tinsel. I also glued real cones, covered the branches with artificial snow. You can attach this to a glue gun, which you can buy at the Fix Price store for no more than 100 rubles.

That's it, beautiful ready!

No New Year is complete without champagne - this sparkling drink has become a kind of attribute of New Year's Eve. Just go to the store and buy a gift for a needlewoman below your dignity, you must definitely do something with your own hands and put a piece of your warmth there.
Let's decoupage a bottle of champagne!
And unusually creative, and beautiful, and most importantly, affordable, and very New Year's!

So, I offer you a step-by-step master class on decoupage a bottle of champagne 🙂 For work, you will need the following materials:
- a bottle of champagne
- a beautiful napkin or decoupage/rice card
-structural paste
- glue for decoupage
-white acrylic paint (or decoupage primer) and blue paint (in my case)
—stained glass outline on Idea glass
Viva glass effect gel
- sponge and palette knife
-glue gun
Before proceeding with decoupage, the bottle must be cleaned of labels and degreased.
Let's get to the primer. To do this, you need acrylic white paint and a sponge. It is ideal for working with glass - the paint applied with it will not spread over the surface.
It is best to prime the surface with white paint, but gold and silver can also be used. But white is like a white canvas, on which you can create in the future 🙂
Dry well, you can use a hair dryer.
Choosing a napkin motif. And glue it on the bottle using a file.
For decoupage, only the top layer of the napkin is needed, on which the image is directly applied. Carefully separate it from the rest.
And we put our image on the file, face (picture) down. Then the napkin must be wetted. To do this, you can use a spray bottle, or just pour a little water on it.
After this procedure, we raise the file with the picture vertically so that the glass has excess water. The image itself is great! Gently level if there are large folds.
And then we apply the entire structure to the bottle, and smooth it with a soft cloth, blowing out the air and leveling the napkin, remove the file.

Since the bottle tapers to the top, you will definitely have wrinkles there. Don't be upset 😉 We will cover them in the future.
But if you have a different bottle decor, then you need to make cuts on the napkin so that it lies evenly and beautifully.
Dry well. It is advisable to leave the bottle to dry completely. But if you are in a hurry, then the process can be accelerated with a hair dryer 🙂
And then we coat our image with decoupage glue to fix it.
After the glue has dried, proceed to the main background of the bottle. It's blue for me. We paint over the entire surface (where there is no napkin).
Here's what happened.
I decided to make some kind of icicles on the bottle, and therefore I need to tone the blue color a little. I do this with a foam sponge, which gives a large textured mesh to my bottle.
Like this. You can even “get a little” on the drawing 🙂 This will add its own charm to the image.
And now we make the texture, the relief on the bottle. To do this, you need a hot glue gun.
You can do it all over the bottle (like mine), or just the top. This is how you like it more 🙂

Then, it is necessary to “smack” this glue-icicle with white paint.
And a little shade of blue (the one that was used as the main color of the bottle).
So 🙂 And now let's add volume to the drawing itself. Let's make it structural paste. You can take a paste like mine - rough structured paste No. 745. Or just the usual structural paste and add semolina to it to give the texture of snow.
With a palette knife we apply paste on roofs, Christmas trees and wherever you see fit 😉
Here is my snow
Then, I also decided to “light up” the lights in the windows and hang the toys on the Christmas trees :), using We tie a beautiful ribbon and go visit! 🙂 Do something beautiful and create a New Year's mood!

Helpful Hints

If it's a holiday, whether it's New Year's Eve, a birthday, February 23rd or March 8th, it's most likely that the familiar thick green bottle with a sparkling drink inside will be on the table.

Sometimes you want to decorate the table, and this can be done in an unusual way by decorating a bottle of champagne with your own hands.

You can try a method called champagne bottle decoupage, a technique that involves transferring an image onto a surface to be decorated.

For example, a pattern that you cut out of paper napkins, thin fabric or other materials is attached with glue to the product you want to decorate. Then it is covered with several coats of varnish.

Finally, you should have a pattern that looks nice on the product without giving the impression of being glued.

Even if you do not have a great gift for drawing, you may well get a beautiful decoupage of champagne bottles.
