To work with foamiran, you need to use pastel or oil paint.

Acrylic paint crumbles and makes the material rough to the touch, and during heat treatment it darkens.

How to make flowers from foamiran: brooches with floral elements

Let's figure out how to make a foamiran brooch. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the step-by-step version of the craft.

For work we need:

Foamiran of three colors: for leaves, petals and core;
Scissors;
Iron;
hot glue;
Pastel green paint;
Base - brooch or hairpin;
skewer;
Wire;
Ruler;
Lighter.

First you need to create templates for the components of the flower: leaf (length 9 cm), petal (length 4 cm and width 1.5 cm), sepal (diameter 4 cm). Now, using templates, cut out the petals. In total, 20-25 petals are needed.

We apply the petals to the heated iron. When the foamiran began to bend, we remove it from the heated surface of the device. We make veins with a skewer. We draw out the petal, having previously folded it in half, this will give it a realistic look. The final process at this stage is gluing the material at the base.

We make the core of the flower. We take a strip of yellow foamiran 1 cm wide and 25 cm long. And we cut the workpiece, creating a fringe. We take a wire and wrap a strip around it. Fasten the middle with glue. We slightly correct the fringe with scissors. We cut off the edges to betray the middle of the convex shape. We process the fringe with a lighter.

Foamiran is highly flammable. Be careful.

Lightly paint the middle and ends of the fringe with green paint. Using blanks, cut out the leaves and sepals. We divide the sepal circle into 16 identical parts and twist it between the fingers, and then gently straighten it. The leaves are heated on an iron, twisted and straightened. Then draw veins with a skewer.

We glue all the details together. Using glue, carefully glue the petals around the core, adhering to an interval of 5 mm. Next, glue the second row of petals, slightly below the first row, in a checkerboard pattern. Now you need to cut the wire and glue two sepals below, placing them in a checkerboard pattern. Next, glue a leaflet and a hairpin or brooch on the sepal. The decoration is ready.

Foamiran rose brooch: master class for beginners

A rose made of plastic suede will look elegant and stylish.

To work, you need the following materials:

Foamiran of different colors: one is needed for buds, one green for leaves;
Wire;
Scissors;
hot glue;
Iron;
The basis for a brooch or hairpin.

We prepare all the components for the flower. Cut out the blank in the shape of a five-pointed flower. For one rose, you need 4-5 such blanks. Then cut out five strips measuring 0.5 cm wide and 3 cm long. From green foamiran we cut out a sepal - a five-pointed star. We also cut out the leaf.

Next, we put our petals to the heated iron. After the procedure, they must be quickly rolled up and rubbed with palms. Then carefully align. Process the sepals in the same way. When twisting, its corners need to be pulled slightly to the top. Then we attach a leaf and crush it.

We collect all the details in one flower. We wind the floral tape on the wire and twist it. So we create the base of the flower - a small bud in the middle. We pass the first blank of petals through the wire. We make cuts so that each of them is free. Then glue the petals to the top. Glue the first two parallel to each other, and the rest to your liking. In this way, form the rest of the petals. But each time reduce the amount of glue so that the roses are a little open. Then you need to glue the sepals.

After the formation of the bud is completed, it is necessary to glue the base of the brooch or hairpin. DIY decoration is ready.

Christmas tree brooch from marshmallow foamiran: New Year's mood

An interesting decoration can be a brooch in the form of a Christmas tree. Winter decorations should create a festive mood, and such a Christmas tree will not leave anyone indifferent.

Materials for manufacturing:

Foamiran of three colors: green and any two others;
Cardboard;
Light green oil paint;
Ribbons of golden and red color, 0.5 cm wide;
Scotch;
Beads, sequins and beads to decorate the Christmas tree;
Scissors;
Iron.

First, let's prepare the base for the Christmas tree. For this we use cardboard. The cut out semicircle must be twisted in the form of a cone and fixed with tape.

We cut out strips 2.5 cm wide from green foamiran. Apply paint to the ends of the strip along the entire length with a sponge. We tint the workpiece on both sides. Then we cut the fringe along the painted part.

We apply the painted strips to the iron. When the foamiran begins to wrinkle, immediately remove the strips. The processed material is carefully straightened.

Then we begin to glue the cardboard cone. We start from the base and lift the strips in a spiral upwards.

The next step is decorating the Christmas tree. From ribbons we create beautiful bows. From foamiran of two colors we create a star on the top of the Christmas tree. To do this, it is enough to cut 4 blanks: two stars of the same color are larger, two are smaller. Then glue them together so that the smaller ones are in the middle of the larger ones. Place the star at the top of the tree. Glue beads, beads, sequins, bows to your liking throughout the Christmas tree.

Materials:

foamiran white, yellow and green;
skewer;
floral wire;

Stages of work:

1. Cut out templates from paper for chamomile petals and its leaves. Dimensions are shown in the photo below.

On a white foamiran, we draw a pattern of a chamomile petal with a skewer or a toothpick. For one chamomile, you will need approximately 21 to 25 petals. Cut out the petals.

2. To give realism, cut off the tips of the petals.

We give the petals a shape by heating them on the iron for a few seconds. As soon as the petal begins to curl, immediately remove it from the iron. Then, using a skewer, we make three veins on the petals.

Now fold the petal in half lengthwise (with the veins inward) and pull it back slightly so that the petal takes on a curved shape. Glue the petal at the base.

3. To make the center of the chamomile, cut out a strip of yellow foamiran 1 cm wide and 25 cm long. Cut the strip into a thin fringe.

Glue the wire to the edge of the fringe. We wind the fringe on the wire, fixing it with glue. Thus, we form the middle of the chamomile.

Now we cut off the fringe with nail scissors a little in the center of the middle and along the edges to give it a more convex shape.

We process the middle with a lighter - we hold it over the fire, while scrolling the wire.

IMPORTANT: Be careful with fire, foamiran can flare up!

Now we lightly tint the middle in the center and along the edges with green pastel.

4. From green foamiran, we cut out a chamomile leaf and two circles for sepals according to the template. We divide each circle into 16 equal parts and cut out the sepals, as in the photo below. We fold each sepal and scroll between the fingers. Gently straighten them so as not to tear.

We heat the chamomile leaf on the iron, fold it like an accordion and also scroll between the fingers. We straighten and draw veins with a skewer.

5. We glue the first row of petals: apply a drop of super-glue to the narrow tip of the petal and press this tip to the side wall of the middle.

The distance between the petals is approximately 4 - 5 mm.

6. Second row: glue the petals just below the first row, in a checkerboard pattern.

7. We cut the wire at the very middle. Glue on super-glue first one sepal, then the second so that its petals lie in a checkerboard pattern.

Cut out a 5 × 8 cm rectangle from green foamiran and cut it with grass, as in the photo. Fold and roll between fingers. Straighten and glue on top of the sepals.

Glue a chamomile leaf and a base - a brooch hairpin on top.

Foamiran is a very malleable and easy-to-work material. Even a person who has never held this material in his hands can make a flower out of it.

We will need:

Foam of two colors (green and any other color)
Bulki (or large beads dressed on toothpicks or skewers)
Ready center for a flower 8mm (or a bead dressed on a wire)
acrylic paint
Dish sponge
simple pencil
glue gun

Print and cut out the flower pattern.

We circle the patterns with a simple pencil on foamiran and cut it out.

Instead of bulek, you can use any semicircular objects of the desired diameter. I have a pen with a semicircular cap and beads put on skewers for kebabs and Chinese sticks.

We set the heating of the iron to a deuce - medium heat (I have three main positions: low heat, medium and strong). We start processing with the smallest workpiece. We apply it to the iron and wait for it to heat up and soften.

We quickly remove the foam from the iron, put it on a sponge and press the bulb into the center of the first petal. Immediately process the rest of the petals in the same way.

Usually, the heating is not enough to process all the petals at once, so if you feel that the foam has already cooled down, we heat it again on the iron. Since we already have ready-made processed cakes, then try not to apply them to the iron. Separate those petals that need to be heated and apply only them to the iron. Otherwise, already processed petals from heat may lose their shape.

If you don't like the result, you can heat the treated petal again and go over it again with a bulk.

After all the petals are formed, heat the center of the flower. To do this, hold the workpiece by the tips of the petals so that they do not fall on the iron and touch the iron only with the central part. We immediately put the heated workpiece on the sponge and strongly press the center of the flower with the bulb.

The stronger the pressure, the more closed the flower will turn out.

In the same way, we process the middle workpiece. When processing it, we reduce the pressing force so that the flower turns out to be half-open

The next one is the biggest one. In it, the pressing force again decreases. You can also use a larger bulb. Large blanks can be made not one, but two or three - then the flower will turn out to be more magnificent.

We take the prepared core of the flower (this is a foam ball fixed on a wire and painted) and pierce a small blank in the center.

As a core, you can use a bead attached to a wire. Or wind a piece of cotton wool on the tip of the wire, grease it with glue, dip it in semolina and, after drying, paint it in the desired color with acrylic paints.

We drip glue into the center of the flower and quickly lift the flower, pressing it against the ball.

We tint it with acrylic paint. To do this, dip a piece of sponge into the paint, wipe off the excess paint on paper - the sponge should only lightly stain. It is better to go through the tinting two or three times than to overdo it and cover the entire surface with paint. We don't paint, we tone!

After the paint on the leaf has dried, heat it on the iron

and crush so that the wrinkled lines turn out in the direction from the petiole of the leaf to the tip. No need to carefully lay out the folds - you will lose time and the foam will cool down. The main thing is just to keep the direction of creasing.

In just a couple of minutes, you can straighten the leaf. If it seems to you that somewhere it has crumpled too much - slightly pull the leaf in this place - the foam will very easily take the desired shape

Apply glue from a gun to the petiole of a leaf

and glue to the wire just below the flower. As you can see in the photo, I preliminarily bent the wire in the direction I needed. If you just want to make a flower on the stem, then leave the wire straight and glue the leaf well below the flower

We thread the wire into the base for the brooch and cut off the excess.

You can cut a piece of foamiran and glue it, closing the wire on the inside.
