Knitted products from yarn weed. What can be knitted with grass yarn? Pullover with colored and patterned stripes

Climax

The name "Grass" is worn by long-haired threads used for knitting. From grass, you can knit with the help of both knitting needles and a hook. In order for the knitting process to be more successful, and the result to please, use thicker knitting needles and hooks.

Such threads are very popular among beginner needlewomen. This is explained not only by the beauty and originality of the products obtained, but also by the fact that the knitted not very even loops will not be noticeable when knitting from such yarn. Travka yarn can be found in every craft store.

Grass Knitting

Before creating things knitted from grass, you need to choose the right model. Due to its specificity, this yarn is not suitable for the manufacture of all things. Weed is good for knitting clothes for children. In such clothes, children are very cute and look like cubs. Of course, she has her drawbacks. For example, in clothes that are made of grass, you can not keep warm in the cold. But from this yarn you can safely knit suits for your children for matinees and other holidays.

Women will look spectacular in shawls and scarves, as well as capes and boleros made of grass. It is worth noting that weed capes and boleros will not work as casual wear. They should only be worn in addition to evening and holiday attire.

In addition, you can combine grass with other types of yarn and use it as a trim, as well as knit toys, pillows and other interesting gizmos.

Knitting grass bolero

The proposed bolero is designed for 40/42/44 sizes. In order to knit such a bolero, you will need to purchase soft grass (150 g), smooth yarn of the same color (100-150 g), knitting needles 5, 6, and buttons.

In contact with

classmates

  • Bolero must be knitted alternately with grass and smooth yarn, approximately 2 rows each.
  • To tie the bottom edge, cast on 66/70/74 loops with weed. Knit in stockinette stitch. Alternate stripes with stripes of smooth yarn.
  • When you get to the 5th row from the beginning of knitting, start making increments. Add 1 stitch on each side. Then add 1 st on each side as follows: 1x on the next 2nd row, *2x on each row, 1x on the 2nd row, then repeat from * 16/17/18 more times. In your work, you should get 166/176/186 loops in total. Then we start knitting straight 18/19/20 cm.
  • When the product reaches 46 / 48.5 / 51 cm from the beginning of knitting, close all loops with weed.
  • To assemble a grass bolero with knitting needles, it is necessary to tie its edges with a strap belt. To do this, you need to collect loops along the edge of the resulting canvas. Choose the direction from edge A to edge C. On edge A, cast on 30/31/33 loops with grass, on the beveled edge (armhole) - 14/18/22 loops, on edge B - 59/61/65 loops, on the second edge of the armhole - 14/18/22 loops, along the edge of C - 30/31/33 loops.
  • You need to start knitting with an elastic band (1 front loop, 1 wrong loop), using grass. Then you need to perform alternation, as when knitting a fabric. On the right edge of the belt you need to make holes for buttons. To make them, you need to make a crochet and knit 2 loops together. The first hole should be located at a height of 2 cm, and the second at a height of 5 cm from the edge of the belt.
  • The belt-bar should be knitted until its width reaches 7 cm, after which it is necessary to close all the loops and sew on the buttons.

Knitting grass bolero: the second option

Bolero is designed for sizes 44-46.

In order to knit it, take grass threads - 200 g, straight and circular knitting needles 5.

In contact with

classmates

  • You need to start making this bolero down from the neck with a one-piece raglan without a front on straight knitting needles. Dial 56 loops according to the scheme: 1 raglan loop, 12 loops of the sleeve, 1 raglan loop, 28 loops of the back raglan loop, 12 loops of the sleeve, 1 raglan loop. In each of the front rows, add 1 loop to the right and left of each raglan loop with the help of a crochet. Add to the extreme raglan loops only on the inside of the raglan loops.
  • Continue knitting in this way until the length of the raglan lines becomes 26 cm. As soon as the length reaches this indicator, close all the loops. The raglan lines of the back at the lower points must be connected to the raglan lines of the front.
  • Cast on the edge of the loop on circular needles and knit the strapping with the front stitch. In the third and fifth circular rows, add 6-7 loops at the same distance from each other. The harness must be knitted 15 cm, after which the loops are freely closed.

Beret from grass with knitting needles

In order to knit a beret from grass with knitting needles, you will need: 100 g of grass yarn and the same amount of wool, as well as knitting needles 4.5 and 6.

In contact with

classmates

Start knitting by casting on needles 4.5 60 loops of wool yarn. Knit with an elastic band 1x1 about 4 cm. Then, connecting together the grass with wool yarn in one thread, continue knitting, but already on the needles 6. In order to expand the circle, every 5 loops add 1 loop with a twisted crochet.

Then knit straight for 5 cm, after which start decreasing 1 loop in each front row every 5 loops. Collect the remaining loops (there will be about 10 of them) with a needle on a thread folded in half, then fasten it. The beret must be sewn with a knitted seam.

Pouffe from plastic bottles

What people just don’t come up with, what they don’t make. And now, while walking on the Internet, I came across an interesting idea: an ottoman made of plastic bottles.

The idea and the master class are offered by an interesting cheerful woman with golden hands - Maria Karavanova.

1 bottle taped together

2 cut out circles from thick cardboard (top and bottom)

3 taped it together

4 I cut out a rectangle and 2 circles from the insulation (left from the construction of the house. Here, in Australia, they put it inside the walls).

You can foam rubber, synthetic winterizer ... I connected everything with hand stitches, over the edge.

5 carved out of a used trick. T-shirts are a rectangle and 2 circles, sewn on a typewriter and when I put the whole design in, I sewed it by hand

6 knitted from the yarn "Traffka:: top-crochet, side on the needles, bottom - a circle of fabric.

7 all connected with hand stitches

Now we enjoy the rest when we watch TV or I do needlework ...

Our legs rest on a soft ottoman. We sit on it, because neither I nor my husband have problems with being overweight!

Good luck to all! I'm glad my idea helps someone...

4 row: 2 sc, 2in1 - 6 times (24 p)

You sew them in pairs, as shown in the photo, and embroider highlights:

Muzzle shaping:

Sew a nose to your head

Now you take a black pastel crayon, scrape a little chalk onto a sheet of paper with a knife, pick up a crumb of pastel on your finger and make dark circles for the eyes on the muzzle. If you work with dark shadows, you don’t need to crumble them

Sew eyes on dark circles, embroider nose with black cotton thread and sew on ears.

If you are going to put a cap on the baby’s head, then sew it lower like mine, if not, put your ears on your head and see how you like it best.

Bear assembly:

So, you take a thread with which you will fasten the limbs.

I have this non-stretching dental floss - it is convenient to fasten it, slides where necessary, helping to tighten the knot, and a convenient tear-off mechanism does not get confused.

Now you fold the bear on a flat surface, take a long needle with double-folded dental floss (the thread is long enough), and start stitching the details in the sequence shown in the photo

,

Explanation of op points(each item corresponds to the number in the photo):

1. Head attachment. At the beginning you make a stitch through lower part head (where the neck should be) and stretch the thread to the middle.

2. Attachment of handles. Now insert the needle into upper part torso (base of the neck), and you bring it out where the shoulder should be. You cut the thread at the base of the needle and thread the other half of the thread sticking out of the head into the needle. In the same way, you insert the needle at the base of the neck, and start it where the second shoulder should be.

Take your time, make sure that the threads are brought out at the same level, otherwise then one foot will be higher than the other.

Now, in turn, on the right and left threads sticking out of the shoulders, put on the needle and in the upper part of the paw (narrow) insert the needle and withdraw it at a distance of 1-2 cm (the same as with the head), thereby hanging the foot on the thread frame (no need to tighten, the head and handles are just hanging on the strings, so be careful not to slip the thread).

3. Mounting legs. You take one of the ends threaded into the handle and insert it next to the place in the shoulder from which it came out (again at a distance of 1-2 cm) and bring it out at the bottom of the body, but from the opposite side (see photo) - this there will be a leg attachment point. Do the same with the second thread.

And you attach a leg to each thread (the top is where the narrow part is).

4. Screed and fastening. Now you take the thread sticking out of the leg, insert the needle 1-2 cm from the exit point on the thigh and bring it out at the place of the navel. You do the same with the second thread, but you do not bring it out in the same place, but 1-2 cm from the first (see photo).

In front of you are just parts strung on a thread in a certain sequence. Now pull the strings sticking out of the navel - and the bear will immediately gather and become whole

Tie the threads 3-4 knots (for fidelity), thread the ends of the threads into the needle and insert into the belly, bring them out from the opposite side, cut the ends.

My needlework / My snow whites (acrylic + grass)

For Rita (margo68) I show another costume for my daughter using "grass" and a blouse for her granddaughter made of German acrylic with lurex.
The costume is knitted in two strands - bouclé mohair + thin acrylic, in grass finish + acrylic (knitting in 2 strands).
I knitted for the girls for the New Year, the granddaughter has already grown up and I am knitting the blouse down, there will be a dress (but this is exactly what I expected when I came up with this model. Vase with knitting needles. Later I will show in detail.

Description from "Knit&Mode" magazine.

I want to write about the fact that I really like knitting from grass. But there are still needlewomen who are also fond of such knitting. Grass - threads with a long pile, which are sold in every needlework shop. We all know that they are made of artificial fibers, but there are many uses for them.
From grass, you can knit and knit and crochet. To make the pile lay beautifully, thick knitting needles and hooks are used. The fabric knits quickly, and, which is important for not very experienced needlewomen, even if the loops are not very even, this will not be noticeable in a knitted weed fabric. If you want to get an elastic fabric - knit "grass" with knitting needles, if you want the product to keep its shape well - use a crochet hook for knitting.
Weed makes cute things for children, children in them look like little "cubs". Of course, these things do not particularly warm in cold weather, but they look very impressive and can be worn for various holidays and matinees. Women's shawls and scarves, capes and boleros look spectacular. The latter, of course, should be knitted only to complement evening dresses; they will not work as casual or business wear. But how beautiful you look:

And I also have a pretty children's fur coat in the "Knitting" section.
Grass can also be combined with other yarns when knitting. By adding several rows of grass when knitting clothes, you can get a cozy and at the same time noble cardigan or jacket for everyday wear.

You can also tie long strips of grass and sew them along the inner edge of the armholes, necks and shelves. Get a vest with a "fur edge".

Fluffy pillowcases look very cozy for sofa cushions. You can knit tie covers for pouffes, a children's blanket or rug.

"Grass" - very interesting in appearance, unusual yarn with a pile of 0.5 to several centimeters. It is made from polyester or polyamide, sometimes with the addition of Lurex or other metallics. A variety of colors, an unusually delicate, silky structure - all this allows the yarn to be used not only for the production of children's and adult clothing, but also for the manufacture of toys, souvenirs, blankets and much more. With skillful use, products and their parts made from Travka will resemble spring grass, shaggy frost, and precious fur.

Yarn "Grass" is suitable for hand knitting and crocheting, you can also knit it on a machine. And, it would seem, knitting should not create any problems.

Firstly, products from "Grass" do not require the choice of complex patterns, either embossed or openwork - the pattern will still be hidden by the pile. Knit from this - with the usual surface, front or wrong side; crochet - double crochet. Secondly, for knitting, you should take a hook or knitting needles. big size, Nos. 4 - 6, which means that the work will go pretty quickly. There is no need to be afraid of excessive looseness of the canvas - a thick pile will hide all this.

But those who have already knitted with "Grass" know that the pile, decorating the product, greatly complicates the work. In order not to spoil the yarn and not waste time, you should remember a few simple rules.

The basic rule is that the thread pile during knitting should be located with the tips of the threads from left to right. This is one of the main difficulties - the skeins that go on sale are formed just the opposite, and knitting is easier at first glance. This is true, but the quality of the canvas will suffer. It is necessary to rewind the purchased skein, but it is easier to pull the tip of the thread from the middle of the skein and start knitting from it - in this case, the direction will be correct.

With a very thick and long pile, you literally have to knit “by touch”, you need to be very careful not to miss the loop. At first it is difficult, but in the process of work, skill will appear, and possibly some kind of your own way to release the pile, making the canvas more fluffy.

Those who want to get a denser product will have to add either a dense cotton thread like Iris to the Grass thread, or, if a warmer product is needed, a thin woolen thread. Products only from Travka, especially those knitted with thick knitting needles, turn out to be too airy and plastic, do not keep their shape and size very well.

But do not forget that you can knit not only and not so much independent products from Travka yarn. It is very good for finishing clothes, both knitted and sewn from any material. Elements of sweaters, jackets, suits, shawls, knitted with "Grass" will transform the usual look of clothing.
