  • shreds of light jersey
  • 2 beads

  • holofiber or synthetic fluff

Completing of the work:

  1. Place your socks with your heels up. At one toe, separate the front and cut to the heel. At the other toe, also separate the front part and make a V-shaped dart, about 2 cm before the heel. Cut off the top part. The resulting details for the torso (top) and head (bottom).

2. Cut out a few more details: from the front of the sock for the tail, and from light-colored patches for the ears and feet. Set the head part aside for now. With a seam "back to the needle", not forgetting about the holes, from the seamy side, connect the sections of all other parts. Turn them right out.

3. Turn the head piece to the wrong side. Sew the edges of the dart with a needle back seam. From the side of the dart, insert the ears and pin them with pins, as shown in the photo.

5. Stuff the torso, head, tail and feet with holofiber or synthetic fluff. Bend the elastic on the torso down.

6. Tighten the head hole. Join the head and torso with blind stitches, then fold the elastic up. Mark the front legs with the tightener.

7. Sew the hole in the feet and blind-stitch them to the hind feet.

8. Also sew on the tail with blind stitches. If it turns out to be too thick, pull it down by passing a seam "forward to the needle" several times in a circle.

You can make very beautiful crafts from plastic bags both for the garden and for the playground and at home. Packages are available for all material, besides, they are quite cheap. And the products made from it are very beautiful. On our website you can find a section on crafts, where you will find interesting master classes.
And today we will learn how to make a tiger from plastic bags, the author of this idea is Tatyana Kharkov-Dumbrovskaya. Tatyana does not have a master class on making a tiger, but she told us how it can be made and what we need for this.

To make a tiger you will need:
* Empty sugar bags.
* Straw or other filler.
* Plastic bags in yellow, blue and black.
* Stapler.

Method for making a tiger from packages:
We start making, the tiger cub is very easy to do. We take empty sugar bags and fill them with filler, in this case straw. We fill 1 bag completely with straw, this will be the body of a tiger. See for yourself what size to make. We also fill a bag with straw for making a head, about half. Sew it on, fix it to the body in any way. Next we need to make 4 legs and a tail. We do the paws a little differently, fill the bag vertically, create the desired volume and size. We fix them in the right places. The tail is also made from a bag, we take the bag and twist it, there is no need to add straw to it. You should get something like this.

Now we start to cut the plastic bags. We take a package of the desired color and cut it into strips, the size of the strips 5 cm wide. The length depends on the package. We cut the ready-made strips into strips of makhrushka and fix them with a stapler to the bag in a circle. We alternate the color. We sew the entire workpiece in this way. Eyes, mouth and nose are also made from bags of the desired color, or you can come up with your own original solution. You can try to make eyes, for example, from eggs from a kinder surprise. Paint them nicely and glue them in the right place. Imagine, create and do not forget to share your work with us)))

But Tatiana made from plastic bags not only a tiger, but also a stork. A frame is made for a stork from empty unnecessary packages, a body, a head is formed and connected to each other. Then we cut the plastic bags into strips and make strips out of them. We fix them on the stork's body. The beak is also made from bags, or you can make it from polyurethane foam. Legs made of ordinary sticks. Do, invent and create.

DIY soft toy

Tiger cub

2010 is the Year of the Tiger according to the Chinese calendar, so a do-it-yourself tiger will become not just a cute toy, but also a real talisman for life! It's not scary if you don't have time to sew the tiger cub by December 31, because the Chinese celebrate the New Year according to their calendar only on March 19, so you still have time!

Now there are many types of faux fur and fabrics on sale, but you need to correctly determine the amount of fabric you buy, because the tiger cub should be striped, and the stripes should be located in the transverse direction. Therefore, it is best to come to a fabric store with a pattern and estimate how the toy will be cut taking into account the seam allowances. It is advisable to choose a natural color combination, that is, the tiger cub should be reddish-black.

Advice: when cutting fur or striped fabric, you will face the problem of aligning the stripes on two pieces to be sewn. In this case, you need to fold the patterns of these parts with each other as they should be folded when stitching. After that, you need to make a notch on each of the details in the place where, in your opinion, the stripes should converge. When cutting, these serifs are aligned with the stripes.

So, you take the following materials:
- reddish-black striped fur with short pile (you can take thick striped fabric);
- light ginger fur with short pile;
- a small piece of red cloth;
- one medium-sized black bead or button;
- leather of white, green and black colors (artificial or natural) or two buttons for the eyes, matching in color and size;
- cardboard,
- filler (cotton wool, finely crushed foam rubber, buckwheat).

From striped fur, paying attention to the direction of the stripes (it is indicated on the pattern), you cut out:
- head - 2 parts,
- ears - 2 parts,
- tail - 2 parts,
- torso - 2 parts,
- feet - 2 parts,
- hind legs - 4 parts,
- front legs - 4 parts.

From light red fur you cut out:
- overlay on the muzzle - 1 piece,
- ears - 2 parts,
- feet - 2 parts,
- lower lip - 1 piece.

Make a lower lip out of red fabric - 1 piece.

Cutouts from cardboard without allowances for the seams of the feet - 2 parts.

From leather, thick cardboard or white and black fabric, cut out and make eyes.

Operating procedure:

Stitch the details of the ears (one piece from striped fur and one piece from light red). Unscrew the ears.

Sew darts on head details. Pin the finished ears onto one of the head pieces in the places marked on the pattern.

- Stitch the details of the head, leaving an open hole at the bottom and making bartacks at the places where the ears are sewn.
Turn the head out, fill it with filler.

Sew the torso details, leaving an open hole along the upper cut. Turn the body out, fill it with filler.
Sew on the head with a blind seam.

Sew the front legs, leaving open holes in the areas marked on the pattern with strokes. Turn out paws, fill with filler.
Sew up the holes with a blind seam. Attach the paws to the body in the places marked on the pattern.

- Stitch the details of the feet (one piece each from striped fur and one piece from light red), leaving open the holes marked on the pattern with strokes.
Unscrew the feet, put the cardboard parts inside, lay one layer of filler on both sides, sew the hole with a blind seam.

Sew down the hind legs, leaving the opening on the lower cut open. Turn out paws, fill with filler.
Sew on the feet with blind stitches.
Sew the hind legs to the body at the points marked with dots, in the same way as the front legs.

Sew the tail, turn it out, fill it with filler, sew to the body with a blind seam.

Sew the details of the lower lip, turn it out.

Gather the muzzle along the edge on a thread with a seam "over the edge", pull it off, put the filler inside.
With the same thread, without cutting it off, wrap the muzzle across it several times so that it divides into two identical convex cheeks.
Sew the muzzle to the front of the head with a blind stitch, while sewing on the lower lip in the appropriate place.

Sew a bead or button on the place of the nose.

Sew on or glue on the eyes.
