Namaz for beginners in Russian. Learning to read prayer correctly

Colpitis

Where should a woman start performing prayer? Before answering this question, it is necessary to understand what namaz is, how to read it, and find out the procedure for performing namaz for women.

Namaz is the most important pillar of the Islamic faith, one of the five concepts that define the very essence of religion. Every Muslim man and woman is obliged to perform namaz, because this is the very worship of the Almighty, a prayer to Him and a sign that the believer completely submits to the Lord and surrenders himself to His will.

Performing namaz cleanses a person’s soul, helps illuminate his heart with the light of goodness and truth, and raises his significance in the eyes of Allah. In essence, namaz is a person’s direct communication with the Lord. Let us remember how the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) spoke about prayer: “Namaz is the support of religion. Whoever abandons prayer destroys his religion.”

For a Muslim, namaz is a way to cleanse the soul from sinful thoughts, from the human desire for vices, from the evil that has accumulated in the soul. Namaz is necessary not only for men, but also for women. Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him!) addressed his followers: “Will dirt remain on your body if you bathe five times in the river that flows in front of your house?” They answered the Prophet: “O Messenger of Allah, there will be no dirt left.” The Prophet (peace be upon him!) said: “This is an example of the five prayers that a believer performs, and through this Allah washes away his sins, just as this water washes away dirt.”

What is the key, even critical, importance of prayer for a Muslim? The fact is that according to prayer on the Day of Judgment, the Lord will determine a person’s value for Himself and will consider his earthly actions. And Allah does not discriminate between men and women.

It is known that many Muslim women are afraid of the very beginning of performing namaz, because they do not know how to do it correctly. In no case can this become an obstacle to a woman’s path to fulfilling her obligations to the Lord. By not performing prayer, a woman deprives her soul of peace and tranquility; she does not receive generous rewards from Allah. Her family will not be peaceful and prosperous, and she will not be able to raise her children according to Islamic standards.

Namaz for beginners should be carried out under the supervision and with the help of experienced Muslims who are ready to help an inexperienced beginner.

How to perform namaz correctly for women?

First of all, you need to find out what salt is, how many obligatory prayers there are and how many rakats they include.

Solat is a prayer, an appeal to Allah, a namaz. The prayer consists of three parts - fard prayer, sunnah prayer, and nafl prayer. The most important step on the path to performing prayer is fard prayer, which is obligatory for every Muslim.

Rakat is the name given to the order in which certain actions are performed during prayer. The morning Ard-Fajr includes 2 rak'ahs, the midday (az-Zuhr) - 4 rak'ahs, the afternoon (al-Asr) - 4 rak'ahs, the evening or al-Maghrib - 3 rak'ahs. For the night prayer al-Isha, 4 rak'ahs are allocated.

The rakat includes one rukah (as bows from the waist are called in Islam), as well as two sajdas (as bows to the ground are called). To start performing this prayer for beginner women, it is important to memorize the suras and duas used in performing the prayer as soon as possible, learn the rakats and the order of their performance. You need to know at least 3 Quranic surahs, about 5 duas and Surah Fatiha. In addition, the woman will have to learn how to perform wudhu and ghusl.

A beginning woman can be taught how to perform namaz by her husband or relatives. You can also use training videos, of which there are many on the Internet. With the help of the video, a Muslim woman will clearly see the actions during prayer, their sequence, learn the order of reading duas and surahs, and learn to hold her hands and body in the correct position. It is worth remembering the words of al-Luknawi: “Many actions of a woman during prayer differ from the actions of men...” (“Al-Siyaya”, volume 2, p. 205).

Namaz for beginners from two rak'ahs

The morning Fajr prayer contains only two rak'ahs, so it cannot be called complex. In addition, this prayer is used when performing additional prayer.

The procedure for performing morning prayer for women is common to all Muslims. The main difference between male and female Fajr prayer is the position of the limbs. To correctly perform this type of prayer, a woman needs to not only pronounce judgments and duas in Arabic, but also be sure to understand the meaning behind them. In this article we will give the procedure for performing namaz with the translation of surahs. Of course, if a woman could attract an Arabic language teacher to memorize the surahs, this would be an ideal option. But, in the absence of one, you can use training programs. The most important point is the correct pronunciation of all words in Arabic. To make it easier for a beginner woman, we have translated the suras and duas into Russian, although, of course, such a translation cannot fully reflect the pronunciation of the words.

Two rak'ahs of fard prayer

  • Before performing namaz, a woman must achieve complete ritual purity. For this purpose, ghusl and wudu are made - this is what Islam calls two types of ritual ablution.
  • The woman's body should be almost completely hidden. Only the hands, feet and face remain open.
  • We stand facing the Kaaba.
  • We inform Allah with our hearts about what kind of prayer we are going to perform. For example, a woman can read to herself: “For the sake of Allah, I intend to perform 2 rakats of fard of today’s morning prayer.”
  • Raise both arms so that the fingertips reach shoulder level. The palms should be turned towards the Kaaba. We pronounce the initial takbir: اَللهُ أَكْبَرْ “Allahu Akbar.” During Takbir, a woman must look at the place where her head will touch when bowing to the ground. We hold our hands at the chest, place our fingers at shoulder level. The feet should be parallel with the distance of approximately one hand minus the thumb
  • After pronouncing Takbir, we fold our hands on our chest. The right hand should lie on the left hand. Men take their left wrist when praying, but women do not need to do this.
  • Having reached the above-described position and still looking at the place of saj (prostration), we read the dua “Sana”: “Subhanakya Allahumma wa Bihamdikya Wa Tabarak” I-smukya wa ta'ala jaddukya wa la ilaha gairuk." (Allah! You are above all shortcomings, all praise is to You, the presence of Your Name is endless in everything, Your Greatness is high, and besides You we worship no one). Let us remember Aisha, who told people the following hadith: “The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began the prayer after the opening takbir with this doxology: “Subhanaka...”.
  • The next stage is reading أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ “Auuzu bil-lyahi mina-shaytaani r-rajim” (I seek refuge with Allah but from Satan, who is stoned).
  • We read بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحيِمِ “Bis-mi Llyahi-Rrahmani-Rrahim” (In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful).
  • Without changing the position of the body, we read the most important surah Fatiha in prayer:

Alhamdulillahi Rabbi al-'alamiin! Ar-Rahmani-r-Rahim! Maliki yawwmiddin. Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in. Ikhdi-na-s-Syrat-al-mustaqim. Syrat-al-lyazina an ‘amta ‘alayhim. Gairi-l-magdubi ‘aleihim wa lyaddaaa-lliiin.”

(Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds! The Gracious, the Merciful, the King on the Day of Judgment. We worship You and ask You to help! Lead us along the straight road, Along the path of those whom You have blessed - not those who are under anger, and not lost).

  • Maintaining the position of the body, we read out any sura known to us. Surah Al-Kawthar is perfect:

إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ‌

فَصَلِّ لِرَ‌بِّكَ وَانْحَرْ‌

إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَرُ‌

“Inna a’taina kal-kausar. Fasalli li Rabbika vanhar. Inna shaniaka huwa-l-abtar.” (We have granted you al-Kawsar (countless blessings, including the river of the same name in Paradise). Therefore, perform prayer for the sake of your Lord and slaughter the sacrifice. Verily, your hater himself will be unknown).

In principle, when praying for beginner women, it is enough to read Surah Fatiha and then proceed to perform the Hand.

The hand is done as follows: we bend in a bow, leaving the back parallel to the floor. We say “Allah Akbar”. For representatives of the fairer sex, it is not necessarily enough to just lean forward a little, because it is quite difficult to completely straighten your back and not every woman is capable of this. When performing the Hand, the hands should rest against the kneecaps, but there is no need to clasp them. Leaning in this way, we say:

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ

“Subhaana Rabiyal Azyym” - (Glory to my Great Lord).

This phrase is pronounced 3 to 7 times. Required condition: the number of utterances must be odd.

  • Exiting the “bow” position is also accompanied by reading the sura:

سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ

رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الحَمْدُ

“Sami’Allahu liman hamidah.”

(Allah hears those who praise him).

“Rabbana wa lakal hamd.”

(O our Lord, to You alone is all praise!)

  • Having straightened up, we perform Sajd again, while saying “Allahu Akbar.” Different parts of the body are lowered to the floor gradually: first we press our knees to the floor, then our hands, and finally our nose and forehead. It is important that the head is positioned during Sajda directly between the hands, spread in such a way that the fingers pressed to each other point towards the Kaaba. The elbows should be located close to the stomach. We press our calves tightly to our thighs; we cannot close our eyes. Having reached this position, the Muslim woman says:

"Subhana Rabbiyal A'lyaa." (Glory to my Lord supreme).

  • We return to a sitting position, while saying “Allahu Akbar.” We take a new sitting position: we bend our knees and place our hands on them. We hold this position until “Subhanallah” is said. Again we say “Allahu Akbar” and take the position of Sajd. In Sajda we say three, five or seven times: “Subhana Rabbiyal A’lyaa.” An important point: the number of repetitions should be the same in both Sajd and Ruka.
  • The first rakat of prayer ends with rising to a standing position. Of course, at the same time we say “Allahu Akbar”: praising the Almighty is obligatory in almost every action during prayer. We keep our hands folded on our chest.

Second rakat of fard prayer

  • We repeat all the steps described above, but from the moment we read Surah Fatiha. After reading the sura, we use another text, for example, “Ikhlas”:

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّـهُ أَحَدٌ

اللَّـهُ الصَّمَد

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

“Kul huwa laahu ahad. Allahu ssamad. Lam yalid wa lam yulyad. Wa lam yakullahu kufuvan ahad.” (He - Allah - is one, Allah is eternal; He did not beget and was not begotten, and no one was equal to Him!) (Sura 112 - “Ikhlas”).

An important point: when performing namaz, Muslims are prohibited from reading the same surahs in different rakats. There is only one exception to this rule - Surah Fatiha, which is an indispensable part of any rakah.

  • We use the same scheme of actions as during the first rakat up to the second Saj. Having bowed, we do not rise, as described above, but sit down. The woman sits to the left, with her legs drawn up to the outer thighs, pointing to her right. It is important that the woman performing namaz sits on the floor and not on her feet. Place your hands on your knees, pressing your fingers tightly.
  • Having accepted this position, it is necessary to read the most important dua Tashahud: All rights reserved. All rights reserved. All rights reserved. All rights reserved. All rights reserved بْراهيمَ وَعَلى آلِ إِبْراهيمَ، فِي الْعالَمينَ، إِنَّكَ حَميدٌ مَ جيد “At-tahiyayatu Lillyayahi Vas-Salavaatu wat-Tayibat As-Salayamu aleyka Ayuhan-nabiyu wa rahmatu Llaahi va barakayatuh. Assalamu Aleyna wa ala ibaadi Llaahi-ssalihin Ashhadu Allah ilaha ila Allah Wa ashhadu Anna Muhammadan Abduhu wa Rasuuluh "(Greetings, prayers and all good deeds belong only to Allah Almighty. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, the mercy of Allah and His blessings Peace be upon us, as well as I testify to all the righteous servants of Allah that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger).

When saying “la illaha” you need to raise your right index finger up. At the words “illa Allahu,” we lower our finger.

  • The next part of the prayer is the reading of the dua “Salavat”, glorifying the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him!).

“Allaahumma sally 'alaya sayidinaa mukhammadin wa 'alaya eeli sayidinaa mukhammad, Kyama sallayte 'alaya sayidinaa ibraahim wa 'alaya eeli sayidinaa ibraahim, Wa baarik 'alaya sayidinaa muhammadin wa 'alaya eeli sayidinaa mukhammad, Kamaa baarakte 'alaya sayidinaa ibraakhima va 'alaya eeli Sayidinaa ibraakhima fil-'aalamiin, innekya hamiidun majiid.”

(O Allah! Bless Muhammad and his family, as You blessed Ibrahim and his family. And send down blessings on Muhammad and his family, as You sent down blessings on Ibrahim and his family in all the worlds. Verily, You are the Praised, the Glorified).

  • Immediately after the dua for the glory of Muhammad, we read the appeal to Allah: All rights reserved. مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، الغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ “Allahumma inni zolyamtu nafsi zulman kasira wa la yaghfiruz zunuuba illya Ant . Fagfirli magfiratam min ‘indik warhamni innaka Antal Gafuurur Rahiim.” (“O Allah, truly I have been extremely unfair to myself, and only You forgive sins. So forgive me from Your side and have mercy on me! Verily, You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.”
  • Dua for the glory of Allah is replaced by Salutation. It must be read with your head turned to the right and looking at your right shoulder. We pronounce:

“Assalaiyamu ’alaikum wa rahmatu-llaah” (peace and blessings of Allah be upon you).

We turn our heads to the left, look at our left shoulder and say: “Assalaiyamu 'alaikum wa rahmatu-Llaah,” which means “Peace be upon you and the blessing of the Almighty.”

This ends the two-rak prayer.

If desired, the worshiper can expand the prayer by reading “Astagfirullah” three times at the end of the prayer session, then “Ayatul-kursi”. In addition, you can pronounce the following taxibs 33 times:

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ - Subhanallah.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ - Alhamdulillah.

We say “Allahu Akbar” thirty-four times.

After this you need to read:

لاَ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ.لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ

وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

“La ilaha illalah wahdahu la sharikalyah, lahalul mulku wa lahalul hamdu wa hua ala kulli shayin kadir.”

The next part of the extended version of the prayer is reading the dua from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him!). You can read any other dua that does not contradict Sharia. When reading, we hold our open palms together in front of our faces, tilting them slightly upward.

Two-rak'ah sunnah and nafl prayers

Sunnah and nafl prayers are usually performed during the morning prayer immediately after its fard rakats. In addition, after the fard rakats of Zuhr prayer, 2 rakats of sunnah and nafl are used.

Also, 2 rak'ahs of sunnah and nafl are used after fard (Maghrib), fard (Esha) and immediately before Witr prayer.

The sunnah and nafl prayers are almost similar to the two-rakt fard prayer. The key difference is the intention, since immediately before performing the prayer, a Muslim woman needs to read the intention for this particular prayer. If a woman performs sunnah prayer, then she should also read the intention about it.

Correct reading of three-rak prayers by a woman

How can a woman correctly read the fard prayer, which consists of 3 rak'ahs? Let's figure it out. Such a prayer can only be found in the Maghrib prayer.

The prayer begins with two rak'ahs, similar to those used in the two-rak'ah prayer. In simplified form, the order is as follows:

  1. Surah Fatiha.
  2. A short surah.
  3. Saja.
  4. Second sajja.
  5. Surah Fatiha (re-reading).
  6. One of the surahs familiar to the woman.
  7. Hand.
  8. Saja.
  9. Second sajja.

After the second saji of the second rakah, the woman needs to sit down and recite the dua Tashahud. After reading the dua, a Muslim woman can move on to the third rakat.

The third rakat includes Surah Fatiha, Ruku, Sajja and the second Sajja. Having completed the second sajja, the woman sits down to read the dua. She will have to recite the following suras:

  • Tashahud.
  • Salavat.
  • Allahumma inni zolyamtu.

Having finished with this part of the prayer, the Muslim woman says a greeting similar to the greeting from the two-rak prayer session. The prayer is considered completed.

How to perform Witr prayer

Witr prayer includes three rak'ahs, and its performance is significantly different from those described above. When performing, specific rules are used that are not used in other prayers.

A woman needs to stand facing the Kaaba, pronounce the Intention, then the classic Takbir “Allahu Akbar”. The next step is to pronounce the dua “Sana”. When the dua is pronounced, the first rakat of Witra begins.

The first rakah includes: Surah Fatiha, short surah, rukah, sajdah and second sajdah. We stand to perform the second rakah, which includes “Fatihah”, a short surah, ruka, sajah, second sajah. After the second sajja, we sit down and read the dua Tashahud. It is important to ensure correct landing. We rise for the third rak'ah.

In the third rak'ah of Vitra prayer, the Fatiha surah and one of the short surahs known to a woman are read. An excellent option would be Surah Falak:

“Kul a”uzuu bi-rabbi l-falak. Minn sharri maa halak. Wa minn sharri ‘gaasikyyn izaa vak’ab. Wa min sharri nafazaati fii l-“ukad. Wa minn sharri haasidin isaa hasad.”

(Say: “I seek refuge with the Lord of the dawn from the evil of what He has created, from the evil of darkness when it comes, from the evil of witches who spit on knots, from the evil of the envious when he envyes.”

Note! When performing Witr prayer for beginners, it is permissible to read the same surahs in different rakats.

At the next stage, you should say “Allahu Akbar”, raise your hands as when performing the initial takbir and return them to their original position. We say dua Qunut:

(“O Allah! We ask to lead us along the true path, we ask You for forgiveness and repent. We believe in You and rely on You. We glorify You in the best possible way. We thank You and are not infidels. We reject and renounce the one who does not obey You. O Allah! We worship You alone, pray and make prostrations to the ground. We strive and direct ourselves towards You. We hope for Your Mercy and fear Your punishment. Verily, Your punishment befalls the unbelievers! "

Dua “Qunut” is a very difficult surah, which will require a lot of time and effort for a woman to memorize. If a Muslim woman has not yet managed to cope with this surah, she can use a simpler one:

رَبَّنَا اَتِنَا فِى الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَ فِى اْلآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

“Rabbana atina fi-d-Dunya hasanatan wa fi-l-Akhirati hasanatan wa kyna azaban-Nar.”

(Our Lord! Give us good things in this and the next life, protect us from the fire of Hell).

If a woman has not yet memorized this dua, she can say “Allahumma-gfirli” three times, which means: “Allah, forgive me!” It is also acceptable to say three times: “Ya, Rabbi!” (O my Creator!).

Having pronounced the dua, we say “Allahu Akbar!”, make a hand, soot, another soot and sit down to recite the following texts:

  • Tashahud.
  • Salavat.
  • Allahumma inni zolyamtu nafsi.

Witr ends with a greeting to Allah.

Four-rakah prayer for beginners

Having gained some experience in performing prayer, a woman can proceed to 4 rakats.

The four act prayers include Zuhr, Esha fard and Asr.

Performance

  • We stand so that our face is turned towards the Kaaba.
  • We express our intention.
  • We articulate Takbir “Allahu Akbar!”
  • We say the dua “Sana”.
  • We stand to perform the first rak'ah.
  • The first two rak'ahs are read as in the 2-rak'ah Fadr prayer, with the exception that in the second rak'ah it is enough to read "Tashahud" and after Surah "Fatiha" nothing else needs to be read.
  • After completing two rak'ahs, we recite the dua Tashahud. Then - “Salavat”, Allahumma inni zolyamtu nafsi. We do the greeting.

Women need to remember the rules of performing namaz. The body must be covered; prayers cannot be performed during menstruation and after childbirth. The prayers that the Muslim woman missed at this moment do not need to be restored.

ATTENTION: after reading Surah Al-Fatiha, the word “Amin” is said quietly so that even a neighbor cannot hear it. Yelling the word "Amen" is prohibited!!! During prayer, place your feet shoulder-width apart.

Salat (prayer, namaz) is a pillar of religion. Performing it correctly, in accordance with the Sunnah, is the duty of every Muslim. Unfortunately, we often treat the fulfillment of this basic requirement of religion carelessly, following our whims, caring little about performing the prayer in accordance with the order that has come down to us from the Prophet.

This is why most of our prayers remain devoid of the blessing of the Sunnah, although fulfilling them according to all the rules will not require much time and labor from us. All we need is a little effort and diligence. If we spend a little time and attention to learn the correct way of praying and make it a habit, the time we now spend in praying will remain the same, but due to the fact that our prayers will be performed in accordance with the Sunnah , the blessings and rewards for them will be much greater than before.

The noble companions, may Allah be pleased with them all, paid great attention to the performance of each act of prayer, while continuing to learn from each other the observance of the Sunnah of the Prophet. Due to this necessity, this modest article collects methods of prayer practice according to the Sunnah according to the Hanafi madhhab and indicates errors in performing prayer, which have become widespread in our time. By the grace of Allah, the listeners found this work very useful. Some of my friends wanted to make this article available in print so that more people could benefit from its advice. Thus, the purpose of this brief overview is to explain the performance of prayer according to the Sunnah and its application in practice with due care. May Almighty Allah make this work useful for all of us and give us tawfiq in this.

By the Grace of Allah, there are a large number of books, large and small, which describe the performance of prayer. Therefore, the purpose of this work is not to present an exhaustive description of prayer and its rules; we will focus only on a few important points that will help bring the form of prayer in line with the requirements of the Sunnah. Another purpose of this work is the need to prevent errors in performing prayer, which have become widespread in our days. InshaAllah, the brief advice given here will help bring our prayers in accordance with the Sunnah (at least the appearance of our prayers) so that a Muslim can humbly come before the Lord.

Before you begin your prayer:

You must be sure that all of the following are done as expected.

1. You need to stand up, facing the qibla.

2. You need to stand straight, your eyes should look at the place where you will bow to the ground (sajdah). Bowing your neck and placing your chin on your chest is disliked (makruh). It is also wrong to assume a position where your chest is tilted. Stand straight so that your eyes are directed towards the place where you are making prostration (sajdah).

3. Pay attention to the position of the soles of your feet - they should also be directed towards the qibla (deviating the soles of your feet to the right or left is also contrary to the Sunnah). Both feet should be turned towards the qibla.

4. The gap between both feet should be small, about the size of four fingers.

5. If you perform namaz in jama'at (collectively), you need to be sure that you are all standing in a straight line. The best way to make the line straight is for each person to place the ends of both heels at the very end of the prayer mat or on a line that is marked on the mat (which separates one part of the mat from the other).

6. When you stand in jama'at, make sure that your hands are in close contact with the hands of those standing to your right and left, and that there are no gaps between you.

7. Leaving ankles closed is unacceptable, under any conditions. Obviously, the unacceptability of this during prayer increases. So make sure that the clothes you wear are higher than your ankles.

8. Sleeves should be long enough to cover the entire arm. Only the hands can be left open. Some people pray with their sleeves rolled up. It is not right.

9. It is also disgraceful (makruh) to perform prayer in clothes that you would not wear in public.

When you begin your prayer:

1. Make a niyat, or intention, in your heart that you are going to perform such and such a prayer. There is no need to say words of intention out loud.

2. Raise your hands up to your ears so that your palms are facing the qibla, the tips of your thumbs should touch your earlobes or run parallel to them. The remaining fingers are straight and pointing upward. There are those (who, when performing prayer), turn their palms (more) towards their ears, and not towards the qibla. Some practically cover their ears with their hands. Some make a sort of weak symbolic gesture, not raising their hands all the way to their ears. Some people grab part of the ear with their hand. All these actions are wrong and contrary to the Sunnah, so they should be abandoned.

3. Raising your hands up in this way, say: “Allahu Akbar.” Then, using your right thumb and little finger, wrap them around your left wrist and hold it that way. Then, you should place the three remaining fingers of your right hand (behind) your left hand so that these three fingers are facing towards the elbow.

4. Place your hands slightly below your navel, positioning them as described above.

Standing:

1. If you are performing your prayer alone or leading it as an imam, first of all, say the du’a Sanaa; then Surah Al-Fatiha, then several more Surahs. If you follow the Imam, you should say only the du'a Sanaa and then stand silently, listening carefully to the Imam's recitation. If you do not hear the recitation of the Imam, you should recite Surah Al-Fatihah mentally in your heart, but without moving your tongue.

2. When you read (namaz) yourself, it will be better if, while reading Al-Fatiha, you hold your breath on each verse and begin the next verse with a new sigh. Do not recite more than one verse in one breath. For example, hold your breath on (the verse): “Alhamdulillahi Rabbi-Aa’lyamin,” and then on: “Ar-Rahmani-r-Rahim,” and then on: “Maliki yaumid’din.” Say the entire Surah Al-Fatihah in this way. But it will not be a mistake if you say more than one verse in one breath.

3. Do not move any parts of your body unless necessary. Stand still - the quieter the better. If you want to scratch or do something similar, use only one hand, but do not do it unless very necessary, using a minimum of time and effort.

4. Transferring the entire weight of the body to only one leg so that the other leg remains as if weightless, so that the body acquires a certain bend, will be against the etiquette of prayer. Refrain from doing this. It is better to distribute your body weight equally on both legs, or if you do have to transfer your entire body weight to one leg, you need to do it in such a way that the other leg does not bend (does not form a crooked line).

5. If you feel the urge to yawn, try to refrain from it.

6. When you stand in prayer, direct your eyes to the place where you prostrate. Refrain from looking left, right or straight.

When you make a bow (ruku’):

When you bend over for a bow (ruku’), watch for the following:

1. Bend your upper body so that your neck and back are almost at the same level (one line). Do not bend above or below this level.

2. When doing the ruku, do not bend your neck so that your chin touches your chest, do not raise your neck above the level of your chest. The neck and chest should be at the same level.

3. In your hand’, keep your feet straight. Do not place them sloping inward or outward.

4. Place both your hands on your knees so that the fingers of both hands are not closed. In other words, when you hold your right knee with your right hand and your left knee with your left, there should be space between each two fingers

5. When you stand in a bow, your wrists and arms should remain straight. They should not bend or crook.

6. Remain in a bow at least for the time during which you can calmly say “Subhan Rabbiyal-Azym” three times.

7. When you are in a bow, your eyes should be fixed on the soles of your feet.

8. The weight of the body should be distributed on both feet and both knees should be parallel to each other.

When you get up from the hand position’:

1. As you rise from the arm position back to the standing position, be sure to stand straight without twisting or bending your body.

2. In this position, your eyes should also be directed to the place where you are making prostration (sajdah).

3. Sometimes someone just pretends to stand up straight, instead of standing up completely and standing straight, sometimes someone starts making sajdah without straightening up properly from the ruku position. In this case, it becomes obligatory for them to prostrate again. So try to refrain from doing this. If you are not sure that you have straightened yourself properly from the ruku’ position, do not begin to bow to the ground (sajdah).

When you make sajdah (prostration):

Remember the following rules when performing sajdah:

1. First of all, bend your knees and stand (knees) on the prayer mat in such a way that your chest does not lean forward. The chest should be lowered down when the knees are already on the floor.

2. Until your knees are on the floor, refrain as much as possible from bending or lowering your upper body. Laxity with regard to this special rule of prayer etiquette has become especially common these days. Many people immediately tilt their chest as they begin to descend into sajdah. But the correct method is the one described above. Unless this (the above) is done for a serious reason, this rule cannot be neglected.

3. After you kneel down, you lower yourself onto your hands, then lower the tip of your nose, then your forehead.

In sajdah (prostration):

1. While in a prostration, hold your head between your two hands, so that the ends of your thumbs are parallel to your earlobes.

2. When bowing to the ground, the fingers of both hands should remain pressed to each other, with no space left between them.

3. Fingers should be pointed towards the qibla.

4. Elbows should remain raised off the floor. Placing your elbows on the floor is incorrect.

5. Hands should be kept away from the armpits and sides. Do not cover your sides and armpits with your elbows.

6. At the same time, do not keep your elbows too spread out in different directions, thereby creating discomfort for those who pray next to you.

7. Your thighs should not touch your stomach, keep your thighs and stomach away from each other.

8. During the entire prostration, the tip of the nose should remain pressed to the floor.

9. Both feet should be placed vertically on the floor, with the heels pointing up and the toes turned up, pressed to the floor and directed towards the qibla. If someone cannot do this for some physiological reason, he should curl his fingers as much as possible. It is wrong to place your toes parallel to the floor without serious reasons.

10. Make sure that your feet do not leave the floor during the entire prostration. Some people perform sajdah without keeping any of their toes on the floor for a moment. In this case, their prostration is considered unfulfilled, and accordingly, the entire prayer becomes invalid. Be very careful to refrain from making such a mistake.

11. You need to be in the sajdah position for so long that you can calmly say “Subhan Rabbiyal-Aa’la” three times. Raising your head from the floor as soon as your forehead touches the ground is prohibited.

In the interval between two prostrations:

1. Having risen from the first bow to the ground, sit directly on your hips, calmly and comfortably. Then perform the second prostration (sajdah). Making a second prostration, without straightening, immediately after you have raised your head a little is a sin. If someone does (prostration) in this way, he will have to start the prayer again.

2. Tuck your left leg under you (like the blade of a hockey stick). Place your right foot vertically, so that your toes point towards the qibla. Some people tuck both legs under them and sit on their heels. It is not right.

3. While you are sitting, both hands should be on your hips, but your fingers should not go down (to the knees themselves), the fingertips should just reach the place where the edge of the knee begins.

4. While you are sitting, your eyes should be fixed on your knees.

5. You should remain in a sitting position for as long as you can say: “Subhanallah” at least once. If while sitting (between two prostrations) you say: “Allahumma gfirli varhamni vasturni vakhdini varzukni,” it will be even better. But there is no need to do this while performing fard prayer (obligatory prayer), it is better to do this while performing nafil prayer (additional prayer).

The second bow to the ground and the rise after it (rising up after it):

1. Make the second prostration in the same order as the first - first place both hands on the floor, then the tip of the nose, then the forehead.

2. The complete prostration must be the same as was discussed above in connection with the first prostration.

3. When you rise from the sajdah position, first lift your forehead from the floor, then the tip of your nose, then both hands, then your knees.

4. When getting up, it is better not to lean on the floor for support, however, if this is difficult to do (it is difficult to stand up without support) due to body weight, illness or old age, leaning on the floor for support is allowed.

5. After you rise to your original position, say: “Bismillah” before reciting Surah Al-Fatihah at the beginning of each rak’ah.

In the qa'da position (sitting between two rak'ahs of prayer):

1. Sitting in the position (qa'da) should be done in the same way as was described above in the part where it was said about sitting between two prostrations.

2. When you reach the words: “Ashhadu alla ilaha,” when reading (du’a) “At-tahiyyat,” you should raise your index finger with a pointing motion and lower it back when you say: “il-Allah.”

3. Method of making a pointing movement: you make a circle by connecting your middle and thumb, close your little finger and ring finger (the one next to it), then raise your index finger so that it points towards the qibla. You should not raise it straight up towards the sky.

4. Lowering the index finger, it is placed back in the same position that it had before the beginning of the pointing movement.

When you turn (to say salam):

1. When you turn to make salam in both directions, you should turn your neck so that your cheek is visible to those sitting behind you.

2. When you turn to (pronounce) salam, your eyes should be fixed on your shoulders.

3. Turning your neck to the right with the words: “As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,” intend to greet all people and angels on the right. In the same way, when giving salaam to your left, have the intention of saluting all the people and angels on your left.

Method of making du'a

1. Raise both your arms up until they are in front of your chest. Leave a little space between both hands. Don't keep your hands close to each other and don't keep them far apart.

2. During du'a, the inside of the hands should be facing the face.

Namaz for women

The above method of performing prayer is intended for men. The prayer performed by women differs from that of men in some respects. Women should pay close attention to the following:

1. Before starting prayer, women should make sure that their entire body, except the face, hands and feet, is covered with clothing. Sometimes women pray with their hair uncovered. Some leave their wrists exposed. Some people use a scarf so thin or small that the hanging locks of hair can be seen through it. If during prayer at least a quarter of any part of the body remains open for such a time that is enough to say: “Subhan Rabbiyal-Azym” three times, then such a prayer becomes invalid. However, if a smaller part of the body remains open, the prayer will be valid, but (on such a person praying) sin will still remain.

2. For women, performing the prayer in the room is better than on the veranda, and performing it on the veranda is better than performing it in the courtyard.

3. At the beginning of prayer, women do not need to raise their hands to their ears, they only need to raise them to shoulder level. And your hands should be raised inside a scarf or other cover. You should not remove your hands from under the blanket.

4. When women cross their arms, they should simply place the palm of their right hand over the end of their left hand. There is no need to fold your hands at the level of the navel, like men.

5. When bowing from the waist (ruku’), women do not have to completely straighten their backs, like men. Also, they should not bend as low as men.

6. In the arm position, men should wrap their fingers around their knees; women only need to place their hands on their knees so that the fingers are located close to each other, that is, so that there is space between the fingers.

7. Women should not keep their legs completely straight; instead, they should bend their knees slightly forward.

8. In the ruku position, men should keep their arms extended to the sides. Women, on the contrary, should press their hands to their sides.

9. Women should keep both legs close to each other. Both knees should be almost connected so that there is no distance between them.

10. When performing sajdah, men should not lower their chests until they place both knees on the floor. Women do not need to adhere to this method - they can immediately lower their breasts and begin making sajdah.

11. Women should perform sajdah with their stomach pressed to their thighs and their arms pressed to their sides. In addition to this, they can place their feet on the floor, pointing them to the right side.

12. Men are not allowed to place their elbows on the floor during sajdah. But women, on the contrary, should place their entire arm, including their elbows, on the floor.

13. While sitting between two sajdahs and reciting At-Tahiyat, women sit on their left thigh, pointing both legs to the right and leaving their left leg on the right shin.

14. It is required of men that they carefully observe the position of their fingers during ruku', and hold them together in sajdah, and then leave them as they are during the rest of the prayer, when they do not make an effort to join or reveal them. But women are required to keep their fingers close to each other so that there is no free space between them. This must be done in the ruku’ position, in sajda, between two sajdas and in qa’da.

15. It is makrooh (not desirable) for women to perform namaz with jama'at, performing prayer alone (will be) preferable for them. However, if their male mahrams (members of their family) perform namaz in the house, there will be nothing wrong if women also join them in jama'at. But in this situation it is necessary that they stand exactly behind the men. Women should not stand next to men in the same row.

Some essential rules of behavior in the mosque

1. When entering the mosque, say the following du’a:

“Bismillah salaam you ala Rasulullah. Allahumma aftahli abwaba rahmatik"

(“I enter (here) with the name of Allah and a prayer of blessing on His Messenger. O Allah, open to me the doors of Your Mercy.”)

2. Immediately after entering the mosque, make the intention: “I will remain in (the state of) i’tikaf all the time I am in the mosque.” Having done this, insha Allah, one can hope for spiritual benefits from i'tikaf (staying in the mosque).

3. When going inside the mosque, it is best to sit in the front row. If the first rows are already occupied, sit where you find a free seat. Walking over people's necks is unacceptable.

4. You should not greet those who are already sitting in the mosque and are busy with dhikr (remembering Allah) or reading the Koran. However, if one of these people is not busy and is looking at you, there is no harm in you greeting them.

5. If you want to perform sunnah or nafil prayer in the mosque, choose a place where the least number of people can pass in front of you. Some people begin their prayers in the back rows while there is plenty of free space in the front. This makes it difficult for other people to walk between them to find an empty seat. Performing prayer in this way is a sin in itself, and if someone passes in front of the person performing the prayer, then the sin of passing in front of the person praying also falls on the one performing such prayer.

6. After entering the mosque, if you have some free time before starting the prayer, then before sitting down, perform two rak'ahs (prayers) with the intention of tahiya al-masjid. This is a very commendable thing. If you do not have time before prayer, you can combine the intention for Tahiya al-Masjid with the intention for Sunnat prayer. If you do not have time even to perform the sunnat prayer, and the jama’at has already gathered (ready for prayer), this intention can be added to the intention for the fard prayer.

7. While you are in the mosque, continue to do dhikr. It is especially useful to say the following words:

“Subhanallah wal-hamdullilahi wa la ilaha il-Allah wa Allahu Akbar”

(“Glorified is Allah, all praise be to Allah, there is no God but Allah, Allah is Great”).

8. Do not allow yourself to be drawn into unnecessary conversations while you are (in the mosque), which may distract you from worship and prayer or dhikr (remembering Allah).

9. If the jama’at is already ready (already gathered) for prayer, fill out the first rows first. If there is free space in the front rows, you are not allowed to stand in the back rows.

10. When the imam takes his place on the minbar to deliver the Friday khutbah (sermon), it is not allowed to talk, greet someone or respond to a greeting until the end of the prayer. However, if someone starts talking at this time, it is also not allowed to ask him to remain silent.

11. During the sermon (khutbah), sit as you sit in qa’da (during prayer). Some people sit this way only in the first part of the khutbah, and then place their hands differently (remove them from their hips) in the second part. This behavior is wrong. You should sit with your hands on your hips during both parts of the sermon.

12. Refrain from anything that may spread dirt or odors throughout the mosque or cause harm to anyone.

13. When you see someone doing something wrong, ask them not to do it, calmly and gently. It is unacceptable to openly insult him, reproach him, or quarrel with him.

ATTENTION: for more details about prayer and how to perform ablution, you can

(Persian نماز‎) or salat (Arabic: صلاة‎) is a canonical prayer, one of the five pillars of Islam. The prayers of the first Muslims consisted of loudly pronouncing together the formulas of monotheism and the exaltation of Allah. There are no clear instructions in the Koran for performing prayers, although there are many indications of such particulars as prayer times, prayer formulas, certain movements, etc. The entire order of performing prayers developed as an imitation of the prayer postures and movements of the Prophet Muhammad and is enshrined in the memory of the first Muslims. The uniformity of prayer was practiced over almost a century and a half and was recorded in writing by the Hanafi jurist Muhammad al-Shaybani (d. 805).

The words of the Iqamat in the madhhab of Imam Abu Hanifa:

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar

Ashhadu alla ilaha illa Allah
Ashhadu alla ilaha illa Allah

Ashhadu Anna Muhammadar Rasulu Allah

Hayya ala ssalah
Hayya ala ssalah

Hayyah alaal fallah
Hayyah alaal fallah

Kad Kamati ssalah
Kad Kamati ssalah

Allahu Akbar
Allahu Akbar

La ilaha illya Allah

I rak'at

1. While standing, express your sincere intention (niyat) to commit namaz:

"For the sake of Allah, I intend to make fard* of this morning namaz A".

Important Notes:
*Fard is obligatory in Islam. Failure to perform fard is considered a sin.

In this case, we give a simplified example of performing the morning namaz a, in which there are 2 cancers (cycles of body movements).

Remember that everyone namaz includes a certain number of cancers of the sunnah (desirable) and fard (obligatory).

Morning - 2 sunnahs, 2 fards
Daytime - 4 sunnahs, 4 fards, 2 sunnahs
Afternoon - 4 fards
Evening - 3 fard, 2 sunnah
Night - 4 fard, 2 sunnah

2. Raise both hands, fingers apart, with palms facing the Qibla, to ear level, touching your thumbs to your earlobes and say takbir iftitah (initial takbir) “Allahu akbar.”

Takbir. The gaze is turned to the place of soot (the place that the head touches when bowing to the ground). The palms are turned towards the Qibla, the thumbs touch the earlobes. Feet are parallel to each other. There is a distance of four fingers between them.

3. Then place your right hand with the palm of your left hand, clasping the little finger and thumb of your right hand around the wrist of your left hand, and lower the hands folded in this way just below the navel and read:

"Suru Fatiha"

"Auzu billahi minashshaytaani r-rajim
Bismillahi r-rahmaani r-rahim
Alhamdu lillahi rabbil 'alamin
Arrahmaani r-rahim
Maaliki Yaumiddin
Iyyakya na´budu wa iyayakya nasta´iin
Ikhdina s-syraatal mystakyim
Syraatallyazina an'amta aleikhim
Gairil Magdubi Aleikhim Valad-Doolliin..."
Aamin!.. (Pronounced to oneself)

But you, as a beginner performing your first prayers in your life, can limit yourself to only reading Surah Fatiha.

Qiyam. The gaze is turned to the place of soot. Hands folded on the stomach, just below the navel. The thumb and little finger of the right hand wrap around the wrists of the left hand. Feet are parallel to each other. There is a distance of four fingers between them.

4. Having lowered your hands, say: “Allahu Akbar” and make a hand” (waist bow).

Hand." The gaze is directed to the tips of the toes. The head and back are at the same level, parallel to the surface of the place of prayer. The legs are straightened. The fingers are spread apart and clasp the knees.

5. After the hand, straighten your body to a vertical position.

6. After straightening, with the words “Allahu Akbar”, perform soot. When performing soot, you must first kneel down, then lean on both hands and, only after that, touch the soot with your forehead and nose.

Soot. Head - between hands. The forehead and nose touch the floor. Fingers and toes should point in the direction of the Qibla. The elbows do not touch the carpet and are moved away from the body. The belly does not touch the hips. The heels are closed.

7. After this, with the words “Allahu Akbar,” rise from the soot to a sitting position.

8. After pausing in this position long enough to say “Subhanallah”, with the words “Allahu Akbar”, lower yourself into soot again.

Soot. The head is between the hands. The forehead and nose touch the floor. Fingers and toes should point in the direction of the Qibla. The elbows do not touch the carpet and are moved away from the body. The belly does not touch the hips. The heels are closed.

9. Then, with the words “Allahu Akbar,” stand up to perform the second rak’ata. Hands close in the same place.

II rak'at

First, as in the first rak'at, read Surah "Fatiha", an additional surah, for example "Ikhlas" (although for beginners you can limit yourself to only reading Surah "Fatiha" - see above), perform ruku (upper bow) and soot.

10. After the second soot of the second rak'at, sit on your feet and read the prayer (du'a) "Attahiyyat":

"Attahiyaty lillaahi vassalavaty vatayibyatu
Assalaam aleyke ayuhannabiyu wa rahmatyllahi wa baraka'atyh
Assalaam aleyna wa ala ibadillahi s-salihiin
Ashhad alla illaha illallah
Wa ashkhady Anna Muhammadan "abduhu wa rasylyukh"

Attention! When pronouncing the words “la illaha,” the index finger of the right hand rises, and when saying “illa illaha,” it goes down.

Ka´da (sitting). The gaze is turned to the knees. Hands are on your knees, fingers in a free position. Both legs are slightly shifted to the right. You should sit not on your left leg, but on the floor.

11. Say the greeting: “Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah” with your head turned first towards the right shoulder and then towards the left

Salam (greeting) to the right side. Hands on knees, fingers in a free position. The foot of the right foot is placed on the carpet at a right angle, the toes are directed towards the Qibla. The head is turned to the right, looking at the shoulder.

Islam prayer how to read namaz correctly

Namaz is the second pillar of Islam

Namaz is one of the foundations of the religion of Islam. With its help, the connection between man and the Almighty is established. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Know that the best of your deeds is prayer!” Reading prayer five times a day helps a person strengthen his faith each time, cleanse his soul from committed sins and protect himself from future sins. Another hadith says: “The first thing a person will be asked about on the Day of Judgment is about performing prayer on time.”

Before each prayer, a true Muslim performs ablution and appears before his Creator. In morning prayer, he exalts Allah, endlessly asserting His exclusive right to worship. A believer turns to the Creator for help and asks Him for a straight path. As proof of submission and loyalty, a person bows to the ground before the Almighty.

How to read namaz correctly (Namaz uku tertibe)

Prayers are performed in Arabic - the language of Revelation - 5 times a day:

  1. at dawn (Irtenge);
  2. in the middle of the day (Oile);
  3. in the evening (Ikende);
  4. at sunset (Akhsham);
  5. at dusk (Yastu).

This determines the rhythm of the day of a Muslim believer. To perform namaz, women and men must cleanse their soul and body, clothing and place of prayer. If possible, righteous Muslims should strive to pray in a mosque. If this is not possible, you are allowed to pray almost anywhere, for example, at a university or in an office.

Before the obligatory prayer there is a call to it - Azan. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), in order to show that Azan is a manifestation of piety, said: “If the time for prayer has come, let one of you read the Azan to you.”

To read the prayer, the following conditions must be met:

  1. ritual purity. A person in a state of defilement must perform a ritual ablution (full or partial, according to the degree of defilement);
  2. clean place. Prayer should be performed only in a clean, undefiled place (free from najasa - uncleanness);
  3. qibla During prayer, the believer must stand in the direction of the Muslim shrine of the Kaaba;
  4. cloth. A Muslim must wear absolutely clean clothes, not stained with uncleanliness (for example, human or animal excrement, the hair of unclean animals such as a pig or a dog). Also, clothes must cover the aurat - places that a believer must cover according to Sharia (for a man - part of the body from the navel to the knees, for a woman - the whole body, except for the face, hands and feet);
  5. intention. A person must have a sincere intention to perform prayer (niyat);
  6. sobriety of mind. Alcohol, various psychotropic and narcotic drugs are absolutely prohibited in Islam (this is haram).

Muslim prayers are the basis of a Muslim’s life

Also, unlike Muslim prayer, there are prayers in Islam (in Arabic they are called “dua”, and in Tatar – “doga”) - this is an opportunity to communicate with the Lord of the worlds. The Almighty knows everything obvious and hidden, so Allah hears any prayer, no matter whether the Muslim prayer is said out loud or silently, on the surface of the Moon or in a mine where coal is mined.

Dua to Allah should always be pronounced confidently, because we know: Allah created us and our difficulties, and He has the power to change this world and solve any problem without difficulty. And no matter what language you use to address the Creator, let your soul whisper in the language in which it is easiest for you to express yourself.

In Islam there are prayers for all occasions. Below are examples of Muslim duas, most of which are taken from the Koran and Sunnah, as well as from sheikhs and auliya (close people - friends of Allah). Among them are prayers for good luck. For example, against problems, misfortune, misfortune and grief, if there is danger, etc.

Muslim prayer if you want to repent of your sins

Allahumma ante rabbi, laya ilyayahe illya ant, halyaktanii wa ana 'abduk, wa ana 'alaya 'ahdikya wa wa'dikya mastato'tu, a'uuzu bikya min sharri maa sona'tu, abuu'u lyakya bi ni'matica 'alaya wa abuu'ulakya bi zanbii, fagfirlii, fa innehu laya yagfiruz-zunuube illya ant.

O Allah, You are my Lord! There is no God but You. You created me, and I am Your servant. And I will try to justify the responsibility entrusted to me, to keep my word to the best of my strength and capabilities. I resort to You, moving away from everything bad that I have done. I acknowledge the blessings You have given me and I acknowledge my sin. I'm sorry! Truly, no one will forgive my mistakes except You. Note: by becoming a Muslim, a person assumes a certain responsibility and makes a vow to the Almighty not to do what is forbidden and to do what is obligatory.

Muslim prayers read before eating

First option: Bismillah!

Note: The Prophet Muhammad said: “Before eating, each of you should say: “Bismillah.” If he forgets about this at the beginning [of the meal], then let him say as soon as he remembers: “Bismil-lyahi fii avalihi va aakhirihi” (With the name of the Most High at the beginning and at the end [of the meal]).”

Allahumma baariq lanaa fikh, va at’ymnaa khairan minkh.

O Almighty, make it blessed for us and feed us with what is better than this.

Muslim prayers read when leaving home

Bismil-layakh, tavakkyaltu ‘alal-laakh, wa laya havla wa laya kuvvate illya bill-layakh.

In the name of Almighty Allah! I trust only in Him. True power and strength belong only to Him.

Allahumma innii ‘auuzu bikya an adyllya av udalla av azilla av usalla av azlimya av uzlyama av ajhala av yudjhala ‘alaya.

O Lord! Truly, I resort to You so as not to go astray and not be led astray, so as not to make mistakes myself and not be forced to make mistakes, so as not to act unfairly myself and not be oppressed, so as not to be ignorant and so that in relation to me did not act ignorantly.

True praise belongs only to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I ask You, O Allah, for that which will bring Your mercy closer to me, the effectiveness of Your forgiveness, protection from sins, benefit from everything righteous. I ask You for salvation from all mistakes. Do not leave a single sin that You would not forgive me, not a single anxiety from which You would not deliver me, and not a single need that, being correct, would not be satisfied by You. After all, You are the Most Merciful.

How to read namaz - namaz for beginner women (video)

How to read namaz - namaz for beginner women (video)

How to properly perform namaz for a woman, where to start? First you need to know what namaz is and why to do it. Namaz in Islam is one of the five pillars of Islam; its implementation is prescribed for every Muslim man and woman. Namaz is a Muslim’s worship of Allah, the performance of which purifies the human soul, illuminates his heart and exalts this person before the Great Allah. Only during prayer does a person directly communicate with Allah. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said about prayer: “ Namaz is the pillar of religion. Whoever abandons prayer destroys his religion.” He who performs namaz helps cleanse his soul from everything vicious and sinful. Namaz for a woman is an integral part of her worship of the Almighty. At one time, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked his companions : « Will dirt remain on your body if you bathe five times in the river that flows in front of your house? They replied: “O Messenger of Allah, there will be no dirt left.” To this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “This is an example of the five prayers that a believer performs, and through this Allah washes away his sins, just as this water washes away dirt.” Namaz will be decisive when calculating on the Day of Judgment; by how a person treated the performance of namaz, his earthly affairs will be judged. Namaz is obligatory for women as well as for men. Many Muslim women are afraid to start praying , due to the fact that they do not know how to perform namaz correctly, but this should not serve as an obstacle to a Muslim woman performing her duties before Allah. After all, by refusing prayer, a woman deprives herself not only of rewards from the Almighty, but also of peace and light in her soul, peace in the family and the opportunity to raise children in accordance with Islam.

How to perform namaz for a woman? First you need to learn the number of obligatory prayers and how many rakats they consist of. In addition, each prayer consists of fard prayer, sunnah prayer and nafl prayer. It is very important to perform fard prayers, which are obligatory for Muslims: Al-Fajr (morning) – 2 rak'ahs, azzuhr(midday) - 4 rak'ahs, al-'asr (afternoon) - 4 rak'ahs, al-Maghrib (evening)– 3 rakats and al-'isha'(night) - 4 rak'ahs + Witr prayer, consisting of 3 rak'ahs. Rakat is the order of words and actions in prayer. One rakat consists of one ruku (waist bow) and two sajda (prostrations). To perform these prayers, a beginning woman needs to quickly learn the surahs and duas that are read in prayer and master the necessary actions in prayer and the order of their implementation. That is, how to do ghusl and wudu correctly (this is described in detail in the relevant sections of the site), learn at least 3 surahs from the Koran and surah Fatiha, several duas.

To learn how to perform namaz, a beginning woman can turn to her husband or relatives for help, but it is better to clearly see how to perform namaz correctly for women. The video shows in detail the sequence of actions, in what order to read the dua and surahs, the correct position of the body during ruku and soot. With the help of a video you can learn how to read prayer to a woman. After all, as Allama Abdul-Hay al-Luknawi (may Allah have mercy on him) wrote: “Many actions of a woman during prayer differ from the actions of men...” (As-Siyaya, vol. 2, p. 205).

Namaz for a beginner woman of 2 rakats.

The morning Fajr prayer consists of 2 rak'ahs. Another two-rakt prayer is used in additional prayers. How to properly perform a prayer of two rak'ahs for a woman? The rules for performing this prayer are the same for all Muslims. The only thing that differs is only the positions of the hands and feet in prayer. To perform namaz correctly, women need to know not only how duas and surahs are pronounced in Arabic, but also understand their meaning. Below is a diagram of how to perform the prayer with a translation of the meanings into Russian. It is advisable to learn how to read surahs and duas with an Arabic teacher or use programs for this. The correct pronunciation of words is very important. In order for a beginner woman to be able to perform prayer, the Russian alphabet is used when writing surahs and duas, but unfortunately, such writing does not convey the correct pronunciation.

Fard prayer of 2 rak'ahs:

1 . A woman must be in a state of ritual purity. Make ghusl (if necessary) and wudu.

2. Make sure your entire body is covered. The face, hands and feet remain open.

3. Stand up, turning your face towards the Kaaba.

4. Express the intention with your heart to perform prayer (which prayer will be performed and the number of rakats), for example: “For the sake of Allah, I intend to perform 2 rakats of fard of this morning prayer.”

5. Next, raise both hands so that the fingertips are at shoulder level and the palms are facing the Kaaba, and say Takbir Iftitah (initial takbir): اَللهُ أَكْبَرْ “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is great!). Body position during Takbir: you need to look at the place that your head will touch when bowing to the ground, place your hands at chest level, fingertips at shoulder level, that is, as you raised your hands after the intention, we hold them while we say Takbir, the feet at this time are located parallel to each other , the distance between them should be approximately four fingers.

6. After pronouncing Takbir, the hands should be folded on the chest, with the right hand placed on top of the left hand. Women do not clasp their left wrist like men, but simply place their hand on top.

7. Then, in this position, without taking your eyes away from the place of soot in the eyes, read the dua “Sana”.

(Allah! You are above all shortcomings, all praise is to You, the presence of Your Name is endless in everything, high is Your Greatness, and besides

We don’t worship you to anyone). Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated a hadith that says : “The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began the prayer after the opening takbir with this doxology: “Subhanaka...”.

(Tirmidhi - Salat 179 (243); Abu Daud - Salat 122 (776); Ibnu Majah - Ikamati-s-Salat 1 (804)).

“Auuzu bil-lyahi min-shaitaani r-rajim”(I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, who is stoned).

“In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Compassionate.”

“Inna a’taina kal-kausar. Fasalli li Rabbika vanhar. Inna shaniaka huwa-l-abtar" . (We have given you al-Kawthar (countless blessings, including the river of the same name in Paradise). Therefore, perform prayer for the sake of your Lord and slaughter the sacrifice. Verily, your hater himself will be unknown ). In prayer for beginner women, you can limit yourself to only reading Surah Fatiha and immediately move on to Ruku.

Next we do the Hand: bend in a bow: at the same time, the back is straight, parallel to the floor, saying: "Allahu Akbar" – (Allah is Great), while women do not need to completely straighten their back, just bend slightly. The hands rest on the knees, but do not clasp them. And in the tilt position say :

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ

"Subhaana Rabiyal Azyim" – (Glory to my Great Lord). You need to say this phrase an odd number of times, starting with three. For example 3, 5 or 7 times.

10. We straighten up from the bow, while saying:

سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ

(Allah hears those who praise him).

(O our Lord, to You alone is all praise!)

11. After we straightened up, we immediately do Sazhda with the words: "Allahu Akbar." At the same time, we lower everything in order: first our knees, then our hands, then we press our nose and forehead to the floor. At the same time, place your head between your hands, press your fingers together in the direction of the Kaaba, place your hands on the floor along with your elbows closer to your stomach. Press your entire body toward your hips and the floor. Don't close your eyes. In this position say:

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى

12. Next, rise to a sitting position with words "Allahu Akbar." Sit down: bend your knees, place your hands on them. Stay in a sitting position for so long that it is enough to say “Subhanallah”. Then, saying: “Allahu Akbar” descend into soot again and say: "Subhana Rabbiyal A'lyaa." 3, 5 or 7 times, while the number of times should be the same both in the hand and in the soot. The body position is the same as in the first bow.

13. Rise to a standing position saying: "Allahu Akbar." At the same time, we fold our hands on our chest. The first rakat is over.

14. Second rakat: repeat all steps, starting with reading Surah Fatiha. After it, read another surah, for example, surah “Ikhlas »:

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّـهُ أَحَدٌ

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

“Kul huwa laahu ahad. Allahu ssamad. Lam yalid wa lam yulyad. Wa lam yakullahu kufuvan ahad.” (He – Allah – is one, Allah is eternal; He did not give birth and was not begotten, and no one was equal to Him!) (Sura 112 - “Ikhlas”).

You cannot read the same surahs in prayer, with the exception of Surah Fatiha, it must be read in every rakah of prayer. Continue according to the scheme until the moment of Sazhda’s second bow. Do not rise from it, but sit down; the woman should sit on the left side, pointing her legs folded at the knees back to her right. You need to sit on the floor, not on your leg. Place your fingers on your knees and press them together.

15. In this position we read the dua Tashahud:

“At-takhiyayatu Lillyayahi Vas-Salavaatu wat-Tayibat As-Salayamu aleyka Ayuhan-nabiyu wa rahmatu Llaahi wa barakayatukh. Assalamu Aleyna wa ala ibaadi Llaahi-ssalihin Ashhadu Allah ilaha ila Allah Va Ashkhadu Anna Muhammadan Abduhu wa Rasuulukh" (Greetings, prayers and all good deeds belong only to Allah Almighty. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, the mercy of Allah and His blessings Peace be upon us, as well as to all the righteous servants of Allah, I testify that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah. And I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger). When reading “la illaha,” raise the index finger of your right hand and lower it to “illa illaha.”

“Allaahumma sally ‘alaya sayidinaa muhammadin wa ‘alaya eeli sayidinaa mukhammad, Kyama sallayte ‘alaya sayidinaa ibraahim wa ‘alaya eeli sayidinaa ibraakhim, Va baarik ‘alaya sayidinaa muhammadin

wa ‘alaya eeli sayidinaa Muhammad, Kamaa baarakte ‘alaya sayidinaa ibraakhim

wa ‘alaya eeli sayidinaa ibraakhima fil-‘aalamiin, innekya hamiidun majiid.”

(O Allah! Bless Muhammad and his family, as You blessed Ibrahim and his family.

And send down blessings on Muhammad and his family, just as You sent down blessings on Abraham and his family in all the worlds. Verily, You are the Praised, the Glorified).

Fagfirli magfiratam min ‘indik warhamni innaka Antal Gafuurur Rahiim.”

(“O Allah, truly I have been extremely unfair to myself, and only You forgive sins. So forgive me on Your part and have mercy on me! Verily, You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful).

18. After this, say the Greeting - turn your head first to the right, direct your gaze to your shoulder, while saying:

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ

“Assalaiyamu 'alaikum wa rahmatu-llaah” (peace and blessings of Allah be upon you), then turn your head to the left, look at your shoulder: “Assalaiyamu 'alaikum wa rahmatu-llaah” (peace and blessings of Allah be upon you). The 2 rak'ah prayer is over.

19. If desired, read three times at the end "Astagfirullah" read more "Ayatul-Kursi"(255 verse of sura " Bakara"), then tasbih: 33 times - سُبْحَانَ اللهِ Subhanallah, 33 times – اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ Alhamdulillah and 34 times – اَللَّهُ اَكْبَرُ Allahu Akbar. Then read:

Then the duas that were read by the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) or any duas that do not contradict Sharia are read, for this you need to join your open palms together and hold them in front of your face in an inclined position.

Sunnah and nafl prayers of 2 rakats.

Before the fard rak'ah of the morning prayer; after fard rakats of Zuhr prayer there are 2 rakats of sunnah and 2 rakats of nafl prayers; in the Maghreb, after fard, 2 rakats of sunnah and nafl are read, in Esha prayer, after fard and before Witr prayer, 2 rakats of sunnah and 2 rakats of nafl are read. These prayers are no different from fard prayers consisting of 2 rakats. The only difference is the intention; before performing the prayer, the intention for a specific prayer is read. If this is Sunnah Salah, then the intention must be to perform Sunnah Salah.

How to correctly read prayers of 3 rakats to a woman

Fard prayer of three rak'ahs.

Fard prayer, consisting of 3 rakats, is found only in Maghrib prayer. How to correctly read a prayer of 3 rakats for a woman?

The first 2 rakats are read in the same way as in a prayer of 2 rakats: Surah Fatiha, short surah, ruku, soot, second soot, again Surah Fatiha, another surah, ruku, soot, second soot, but after the second soot, sit down and read only the dua Tashahud, after it stand for the third rakat.

In the third rakah, read only Surah Fatiha (do not read the second surah) and after it immediately do ruku, soot and the second soot. After the second sajda, sit down to read the dua. Read Tashahud, Salavat and “Allahumma inni zolyamtu. » . After this, the Greeting is pronounced, as in a prayer of 2 rakats. The prayer is over.

Namaz Witr.

Witr prayer consists of three rak'ahs, but when performing it, you need to use certain reading rules that apply only to this prayer.

Stand facing the Kaaba, express your intention, say Takbir “Allahu Akbar!”, dua “Sana” and stand for the first rakat.

“Kul a”uzuu bi-rabbi l-falak. Minn sharri maa halak. Wa minn sharri ‘gaasikyyn izaa vak’ab. Wa min sharri nafazaati fii l-“ukad. Wa minn sharri haasidin isaa hasad.”

(Say: “I seek refuge with the Lord of the dawn from the evil of what He has created, from the evil of darkness when it comes, from the evil of witches who spit on knots, from the evil of the envious when he envyes.” ( IMPORTANT: read different surahs in each rak'ah, it is allowed to read the same one at the beginning of learning prayer)

O Allah! We ask you to lead us along the true path, we ask You for forgiveness and we repent. We believe in You and rely on You. We praise You in the best possible way. We thank You and are not unfaithful. We reject and renounce those who do not obey You. O Allah! We worship you alone, pray and make prostrations to the ground. We strive and direct ourselves towards You. We hope in Your Mercy and fear Your punishment. Verily, Your punishment befalls the disbelievers!”)

If a Muslim woman has not yet learned the dua “qunut”, then until she learns to read it, she is allowed to read something else:

رَبَّنَا اَتِنَا فِى الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَ فِى اْلآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

“Rabbana atina fi-d-Dunya hasanatan wa fi-l-Akhirati hasanatan wa kyna azaban-Nar.”

(Our Lord! Give us good things in this and the next life, protect us from the fire of Hell).

And if you haven’t learned this dua yet, then you need to say 3 times: "Allahumma-gfirli" (Oh Allah! Forgive me!) or 3 times :"Ya, Rabbi!" (O my Creator!).

After that with the words "Allahu Akbar!" make a hand, then soot, second soot and sit down to read Tashahuda, Salavat, , make a greeting. Witr prayer is over.

Reading prayers consisting of 4 rakats.

Fard prayer of 4 rakats.

Zuhr, Asr and Esha fard prayers consist of 4 rak'ahs.

Stand facing the Kaaba, express intention, say Takbir "Allahu Akbar!" dua “Sana” and stand on the first rakat. Read the first and second rak'ahs as 2-rak'at fard prayers. But in the second rak'ah, while sitting, read only Tashahud, then stand up and perform 2 rak'ahs, where after Surah Fatiha, do not read another sura. After reading these 2 rak'ahs, sit down and read the dua Tashahhud, Salavat and “Allahumma inni zolyamtu nafsi” . Next, perform the Greeting.

Sunnah prayer of 4 rak'ahs

Before fard in Zuhr prayer, 4 rak'ahs of the sunnah of prayer are read.

It is important to understand how to perform sunnah prayer correctly. This prayer is read in the same way as the fard prayer, only in the third and fourth rak'ahs it is obligatory to read a short surah after the Fatiha surah. That is, in four rakats after Surah Fatiha, you need to read four different short surahs. And in the intention, be sure to mention that this is sunnah prayer.

What else does a woman need to know to perform prayer correctly?.

Make sure that all parts of the body are covered during prayer.

A woman is prohibited from praying in the state of Haid (monthly purification) and

Nifas (postpartum cleansing) and restoration of missed prayers are not required.

As well as the rules for performing prayer in the state of istikhara.

How to perform namaz for a girl? The same as for a woman or girl. There are no age differences here.

What is the difference between prayer for women and prayer for men?:

It is preferable for women to perform namaz at home. If prayer is performed with a male jamat, then the woman should stand strictly behind the men. Not on the same level as them, this is considered makrooh and the prayer will not be considered perfect.

All prayers and duas are read quietly.

When reading dua, a prayer to Allah Almighty, a woman needs to join her open palms together and hold them opposite her face in an inclined position, men place their palms at chest level.

It is preferable to perform morning prayer at the beginning of its time.

A woman should not bend too much when performing Ruku. And when performing Sajd, she must press her stomach to her thighs and her hands to her sides. Imam Abu Dawud narrated the hadith: “Yazid ibn Abi Habib states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) once passed by two women who were doing namaz. He told them: “When you prostrate, make sure that parts of your body are in contact with the ground, because a woman is not like a man in this.” (Marasil Abu Dawud, p. 118).

With the help of this instruction you can quickly learn how to read the prayer. In general, separate books are devoted to how to read namaz, given the enormous importance of this type of worship for a Muslim. But here you can get an extremely short introductory course on a single prayer of two rak'ahs. Having learned this prayer tutorial, you will be able to understand how to read all other prayers.

The method of reading namaz is given according to the Hanafi school of fiqh (Islamic law)

Conditions for performing namaz (reading namaz)

To perform prayer, five conditions (sharts) must be met:

  1. The first condition of prayer is cleansing from impurities (najasa). In other words, this is the removal of impurities from the place of prayer, from the body and clothing. Women should do istinja (cleansing the relevant organs after urination), and men should do istibra (complete cleansing of the corresponding organ after urination. To do this, it is recommended to cough, stomp on the spot a little and bend to the sides). To clean the anus after relieving yourself, you must first wipe it dry with paper, then rinse it with water and wipe it dry again with paper. When performing namaz, try to be dressed in clean clothes and make sure that your prayer mat (you can use a towel, sheet, etc. instead of a mat) is clean. Being clean means that if you were offered to eat at this place, you would gladly agree.
  2. Small ablution (taharat, wudu) and complete ablution (ghusl). Small ablution is taken after you have relieved yourself and followed the instructions in point 1 on cleansing the genitals. Complete ablution (ghusl) is taken: in men - when semen is released during intercourse or sleep (emission), in women - during the postpartum cleansing period or the menstrual cycle.
  3. The third condition of prayer is covering certain parts of the body (satrul-awrat), opening which is considered haram (forbidden). For men, the aurat is the part of the body from the navel to the knee. A woman has aurat - almost her entire body, except for her hands (up to the wrist) and face.
  4. The fourth condition of prayer is facing towards the Kaaba(located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia) - Istiqbali-Qibla. Those who are in Mecca and see the Kaaba must face the Kaaba directly, and those who are away from Mecca and cannot see the Kaaba must face it as accurately as possible, using a compass, if there are no other landmarks.
  5. The fifth condition of prayer is timely execution each of the five prayers. Prayer performed before the appointed time is not valid. The schedule of prayer times for each area is established according to the calendar according to the geographical location. You can see the daily prayer schedule on our website on the right.
