Knitted bags made of propylene threads. Crochet beach bag to complete your summer look. How to choose threads for knitting washcloths with elongated loops

Cytomegalovirus

In the bath, many accessories are required, and one of the main ones is washcloths. Various sizes, shapes, degrees of hardness, various materials- for different people and skin types. You can buy a part, grow a part (for sure - this is a loofah washcloth) or peel it off (bast), and you can also tie it. How to tie a washcloth with your own hands - read on.

In principle, any thread can be used for knitting washcloths. They are chosen depending on what kind of rigidity you need this bath accessory.

If the skin is delicate - for children and ladies - you can use sheep or goat hair. Only we are talking about home-made threads, and not dyed. Wool can be bleached, but it is better not to use dyed wool - it sheds heavily. Wool washcloths are not coarse, but slightly prickly, which gives a good massage effect - due to the "work" of small hairs. When using woolen washcloths, they should not be dipped in hot water - only warm or cool. Otherwise, they "sit down" become many times smaller in size and very dense and even hard. They also need to be dried thoroughly: wet wool is an excellent breeding ground for bacteria, so we dry it well.

Before knitting a washcloth, it is advisable to wash homemade wool (if it is in skeins) in warm water with shampoo or soapy water. To prevent moths from eating threads, they are treated with gasoline. Therefore, they are first washed and dried by hanging a load from the skein so that the threads do not twist. Then they are unwound into balls and only then knitted.

A universal option is polypropylene yarn. It happens in different thicknesses and densities, so you can knit a washcloth that is both harder - for active massage, and softer - for delicate skin. The degree of rigidity also depends on the density of knitting. Polypropylene thread is the same packaging twine, only thinner and wound into bobbins, so if you have twine, you can use it. But a twine washcloth often turns out to be too hard, although this depends on the characteristics of the fiber. In any case, you can try.

There is a mass in their use of polypropylene threads for washcloths. good points- the paint does not wash out, they do not shed (features of the technological process), they are not demanding on the temperature of the water (just do not put it in boiling water). They dry quickly - water is not absorbed into the fibers and drains quickly. Perhaps their only drawback is that they are not of natural origin. But the properties are wonderful (chemically neutral, hypoallergenic, bacteria do not multiply on them) and therefore most of the washcloths are knitted from polypropylene beaches.

Natural washcloths

Lovers of natural fibers often use loofah washcloths. This is a creeper from the genus of pumpkins, similar to a large cucumber. On ripened fruits, the peel bursts, the bones fall out, and the core, similar to a sponge, is exposed. It is dried, and can be used even in the bath, even in the kitchen. Only the washcloth turns out to be hard, it is not suitable for every skin and you need to change it often: bacteria feel great in natural fibers.

This is how washcloths grow - from pumpkin - luffa

Another natural washcloth is made from bast. Bast is the fibrous part under the linden bark. The bast is harvested in the middle of summer, cutting down the tree and peeling off the bark, the fibrous part between the bark and the woody core is torn into strips. On washcloths use the softest of them. Bast is twisted into skeins, turning the rest of the bark inward. These skeins are soaked in water (previously they were heated in the river) for at least a week. During this time, small plant fibers rot and are easily washed off. And the look and smell of the bast at the same time, to put it mildly, unsympathetic. But after removing the mucus and thoroughly rinsing in the river, it acquires a pleasant color, and after drying it also has a honey smell. Now the bast can be used as a washcloth. Our ancestors pulled out a few strands from the bundle (stored in the attic), wound it around their hand and washed themselves like that. In the modern version, you can try to somehow flash the bast, giving it the shape of a rectangle.

There are also nettle and linen washcloths, but they are made from a special fabric, and the skills of making it at home are almost lost. But they are in stores. different types, however, the prices are not at all encouraging.

Crochet washcloth with elongated loops

If you are just learning to crochet, a washcloth is a good choice for the first item. Everything is simple here, and we will tell you in detail how to knit a washcloth. You need to know how to knit air loops, a regular single crochet, a double crochet, elongated loops. This is the entire required set. Most of it will be shown in photos and videos, but you can prepare in advance.

We knit from polypropylene yarn, in this case from two skeins, since the thread is thin. For beginners, it is more convenient to use one thicker thread. We take hook No. 5 (it can be less if it is more convenient for you).

First we knit a chain of air loops. If you fold it in half, you get the width of the future washcloth. So you can decide on the length of the chain, but for example, you can tie 30 air loops.

After that we knit one air loop lifting - go to the next row. We knit the second row with single crochets. We knit them by inserting a hook between the stitches of the previous row (by the jumper). Having knitted the last one, we connect it with an air loop with the first column of the row, closing the ring.

To go to the next row, we make two air loops - this row and the next two will be from double crochets. Having finished the row, we connect it into a ring, make two air loops and begin to knit the next one.

Please note that the number of columns, together with the lifting loops, should always be 30. Recount them, otherwise you will not get a flat washcloth, but an expanding one. So, in total there should be three rows of double crochets.

In the next row we knit elongated loops. We start the hook as usual under the jumper of the bottom row, but grab the thread with the index finger of the left hand and pull it off. We hook it with a hook, and wind it up, as usual. We also knit with the usual half-column.

We take the thread, we hook it on the other side
Pulling through the jumper

According to the same pattern, we knit the remaining elongated loops in each of the columns. However, they remain inside. Having finished the row with long loops, we knit one of the columns with a crochet (do not forget two lifting loops). It will secure long loops, the washcloth will not stretch and lose shape.

Next - again elongated loops, then a row with double crochets. So we alternate to the required length. We finish the washcloth with two rows of double crochets in a row, then single crochets. The washcloth is almost ready, it remains to tie the handles.

The finished "body" of the washcloth from the inside

We tie the handle. First, fold the washcloth and connect the two edges with single crochets. Next, we knit one lifting air loop, make several loops in the second row (3-4 loops) and begin to knit air loops. Their number is the desired length of your pen. Having made the last air loop (count so much to tie on the second handle), tie it to the 4th loop from the other edge of the washcloth, then another single crochet to the side, and turning the “handle” in the other direction along the chain, knit the columns without a crochet. You need 3-4 such rows. The same operation is repeated on the other side.

Two more ways to knit a washcloth. They are also with elongated loops, but there are differences in their knitting (there are three ways in total). Another difference is that these accessories are knitted using single crochets, which makes them more dense. In general, choose how to knit a washcloth according to your own preferences and feelings.

The crocheting of all loops is shown in great detail in the next master class. This is great step-by-step instruction for beginners who want to knit a washcloth on their own.

Washcloth-mitten with elongated loops (crochet)

By the same principle, a washcloth mittens is knitted. Choose the sizes according to your hand - the starting chain of air loops should freely cover the brush (there should be a little free meta, since it is hard to put on a wet mitten). How to tie a washcloth-mitten read on.

First of all, knit a chain of air loops, connect it into a ring. At the same time, make sure that the chain does not turn over and the figure eight does not turn out. Next, we knit two rows of columns without a crochet.

Crochet it near the index finger and then knit it like a regular single crochet.

The next row is made from single crochets. So we alternate (loop-columns) to the height where you need to make a hole under thumb.

Then, when knitting a row with columns, in some place we knit 12 air loops, skip the same number of jumpers in a row and tie to the 13th. We finish the series. It turns out a hole for a finger.

Continue until the little finger closes.

The crochet mitten is almost finished. Now in each row we reduce a few loops. So - until the last one remains, we close it, cut the thread.

The final touch is the strapping at the top and the eyelet. Crochet washcloth mittens finished

It remains the final touch - to tie a loop, for which it will be possible tied washcloth hang. You can make two or three more rows of single crochets, and in the last one make a loop.

Crochet patterns

There are two more types of homemade washcloths - single flat and round. They fit even easier than described above. There are schemes according to which even a beginner can do this.

How to tie a washcloth: single (with or without elongated loops)

The middle part can have any number of elements. Their number is determined by the required length of the washcloth. First, a chain of air loops is also knitted, but it does not bind into a ring. Having made one more additional lifting loop, they begin to knit single crochets, picking up an ode from the jumpers. Having reached the end of the chain, two columns are knitted into one loop at the end, which makes it possible to continue knitting on the other side of the chain. And again, having reached the end of the chain, they knit two columns in each jumper and continue to knit on the other side. It turns out such a long chain. When the washcloth reaches the desired size, the handles are knitted, then the thread is cut and retracted.

If there is a desire, a flat washcloth can be connected with elongated loops. They are also added in every second row. You saw how to do them in the photo and video (as many as two options), everything is the same here.

Round

For children, it is more convenient to make small round washcloths and discs. The pattern of knitting with double crochets is shown in the figure. The principle is simple: through one jumper we double the loops, we knit air loops between two adjacent columns.

The number of rows is up to you. As the disk reaches the desired size, you can knit two or three rows of single crochets along the edge - to seal the edge, but make sure that the edge does not tighten the disk, periodically also knitting two loops into one jumper.

How to knit a round washcloth on your hand with single crochets is shown in the video.

How to knit elongated loops with knitting needles

For those who want to knit a washcloth for a bath with elongated knitting needles, the following video tutorial.

The beach is a kind of catwalk where fashionistas demonstrate stunning outfits and spectacular accessories. Such beauties are idolized by men and studied with the gaze of a woman. But becoming an icon of summer style is not so difficult if you carefully consider your image.

In addition to a stylish bathing suit, on vacation you will need a hat, shoes and, of course, a beach bag. You can choose a model from the store assortment. But it is better to create an accessory with your own hands, choosing your favorite style, size and color. Depending on the wishes of the hostess, it can be a voluminous bag that will fit all the necessary beach accessories, or an original clutch for important little things like a wallet and a phone. Also, a crochet beach bag will become a faithful companion on shopping trips.

What do you need to knit a beach bag?

First of all, yarn. The choice of material must be approached from the point of view of its practicality. The bag should be durable, poorly absorb moisture and dry quickly, not fade or stretch. You can also choose synthetic yarn, if it has such qualities. From plant fibers, jute, hemp or cotton thread is suitable, from artificial fibers - acrylic, polyester.

Often for knitting summer bags craftswomen choose fancy yarn made using a special technology (for example, ribbon, knitted) or a completely unusual material - cords, satin ribbons, strips of plastic bags. Even the remnants of yarn will come in handy, the main thing is that the threads are of the same thickness. A crochet bag is knitted quite simply and quickly, it does not require special skills and the construction of complex patterns. The canvas, consisting of knitted motifs - small multi-colored elements interconnected, looks very impressive, but it is more difficult and longer to make it.

In addition to yarn, you also need to prepare a hook. right size, zipper, lining, handles, accessories and decorative elements for decoration. As a rule, rather thick threads are used for knitting bags, so the tool must be appropriate. Large diameter metal or bamboo hooks are usually made, they are durable and easy to work with.

Wooden rings, a strong cord or tourniquet, and a metal chain often act as handles for a bag. Also, the handles can be a continuation of the knitted fabric.

Decorating the product is the final and most creative stage. What will be the final design of the bag depends entirely on the craftswoman, her imagination and skills.

There are such wonderful polypropylene threads that look beautiful, bright, shiny. They sell these threads in needlework stores and in household departments. They are quite soft and light. Knitting from them (especially crocheting) is a real pleasure. Things also turn out strong, elegant, keep their shape well, etc.

I always take this yarn for future use. Suddenly, some idea arises or you need to urgently tie something. And the stock is already there. This yarn is very inexpensive. It is sold in skeins or reels. The reel is more profitable and more convenient. Inside she has a hole from where you can get the end of the thread and immediately, without rewinding, knit in two additions.
From this yarn I knit bags, foot mats, laundry baskets. But best of all, washcloths are obtained from such threads. These washcloths have many advantages:

  • they are hygienic, germs do not start in them;
  • they dry quickly, light, compact;
  • they are beautiful and wear-resistant, serve for a long time.
So, for knitting a washcloth, I prepared: two bobbins of blue color (only one is matte, and the second is shiny), hook number 5 and scissors.
I decided to make a washcloth in the form of a cylinder with “fur”. Such a tutu can be put on like a mitten on the hand. So it will not need to be held, and it will be much more convenient to wash.

Having folded the matte blue thread in half, she scored 35 air loops and closed them with a ring. I knitted 5 rows of single crochets in a circle. Then I start knitting "fur" (elongated loops). I put the thread on my thumb. I insert the hook into the loop on the finger under the bottom wall, crossing the thread. I knit a single crochet, dragging the thread through the elongated loop. So I knit the whole row. Long loops of "fur" with this fastening are held tightly and do not stretch. It's okay if the elongated loops are not exactly the same length.
In the next row, the thread is changed to a different color. I knit two rows of columns and a row of elongated loops. It turns out that the "fur" (elongated loops) will be located through two rows of columns. If desired, you can make "fur" more often: through a series of columns or in each row. But even such a number of elongated loops will be enough for the hairiness of the washcloth.

Thus, alternating the colors of the threads, I knit nine rows of "fur". I knit two rows of columns and begin to make a decrease. Having knitted two columns, I skip one column of the previous row. When the hole at the top of the product remains small, I knit a chain of 16-20 air loops. This will be the loop for hanging the washcloth on the hook. I attach it with a semi-column, knit a couple of columns without a crochet and finish. I fix the thread, tightening it tighter. I cut off with scissors, leaving five centimeters. I crochet between the posts.
On the other hand, I tie a washcloth with a shiny blue thread (the one used for knitting stripes) to make the edge even and neater. For this, two rows of single crochets are enough. You can make a loop for hanging a washcloth on the underside of the product. In the same way, I fasten and thread the thread.

Competition work No. 3 - Knitted bag from "grandmother's squares"

Good afternoon! I have long liked elegant crochet products, but my hands did not reach. Basically my hobby is knitted needles toys and if you really like something, then I will connect. A lot of leftover yarn accumulated, looked at the wonderful grandmother's squares, but they were crocheted, at first I was upset, and then I tried it and it began to work out! I got so fired up that I knitted a bag, and even swung at a phone case - these are my first crochet products!

Bag knitting pattern

Blue and yellow bag.

I tried to make MK, that's why I used poisonous-contrasting colors of the packages to make it easier to see, but .. at that time my camera silently died ... the process turned out to be very poorly visible, but still adds understanding to my description.
Packages blue and yellow (60 liters) cut, as always, 2.5 cm wide, hook No. 5. Knitting - single crochet. Ladies bag of medium size.
She tied two identical square bottom details with a blue ribbon, connected them with single crochets.
Then I raised the details of the barrels, front and back separately. The sides were knitted with a yellow ribbon in the form of triangles, and in front - the back with a blue ribbon in rectangles.

Separately, she tied a rectangular valve with a yellow ribbon, embroidered the trim with a blue ribbon with a hook with air loops, tied it with a blue ribbon with single crochets and a crustacean step, and sewed it to the back. I tied a circle with a yellow ribbon (with a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the magnetic button) and attached a button detail to it (in the photo it lies separately near the valve). It was sewn to the valve.
I tied a pocket on the front of the front with a yellow ribbon, attached the second part of the magnetic button to it, tied its sides with a crustacean step and sewed it to the front with a blue ribbon. I tied and sewed a pocket with a blue ribbon to the wrong side of the back of the bag (it will be internal).
I knitted two parts of the handles, their ends are narrowed in the form of tongues (that is, the details of the handles are connected in the form of boats), which will be sewn to the bag. The photo (front side of the bag) shows that the top handle is completely ready: a transparent tube with a length equal to the length of the handle without tongues is inserted into it. The lower handle in the photo is a semi-finished product. When I sewed the tongues to the bag, I made sure that the tube inside the handles rested against the bag.
I don’t know how clearly I described the process of making and sewing handles. But this, as it turns out, is the most frequently asked question.

The wrong side of the semi-finished bag:

I sewed the handles to the bag by the tongues:

I crocheted with single crochets and tied the sides of the bag again with a step step:
