Papier - mache and new year. Master class, papier-mache, new year papier-mache do-it-yourself New Year's for children

Survey

At one time, I was very social on liveinternet and made a lot of friends there. The beauty of social networks is that they allow you to very quickly and sometimes even accidentally find people with similar interests. Therefore, even now I very often come across diaries of interesting people on Lira, creative personalities, handmakers and needlewomen.

Recently I met there a creative person who loves to make handicrafts out of papier-mâché, and she makes them so masterly that you can't even tell what material they are made of. I was very impressed by her handmade papier-mâché Christmas trees, as well as papier-mâché Christmas tree decorations and many other papier-mâché beauty.

To be honest, I myself have never tried to do anything from this material, but now, seeing all this beauty, I really wanted to try! Moreover, there is still time before the New Year and you can have time to make similar balls for the Christmas tree (and for gifts to friends). In general, look and be impressed, like me.

Such trees and Christmas tree decorations were before painting. The Christmas trees are made like this - a thick wire is inserted into the base made of wood, and the upper part is already glued to the wire.

But Natalia has such beautiful painted balls as a result. Simply wonderful! she says. that they are quite weighty, but her tree (see photo below) will withstand them.

Unusual Christmas tree! Its frame is welded from reinforcement in the form of a triangular pyramid, and then wrapped in strips of tarpaulin.

All these jewelry, pendants, beads are also made of papier-mâché. Wow, at first glance you will never guess!

Funny pendants and also made of papier-mâché. I can't imagine how they were done! Natalya writes that she turned each of them with her own hands.

One of the ethnic decorations.

I was especially shocked by the bracelets, which are not at all made of wood, as one might think at first ... They ... well, the most ingenious ones have already guessed - they are also made of papier-mâché! Awesome, right? Natalia revealed to me the secret of their manufacture -

She picked up a jar suitable for her hand, glued a paper strip of the width she wanted to get the bracelet on, and applied the paper pulp. And the ones on the right in the photo (3 pieces) are made on a "reel" of scotch tape, and on top are paper bundles.

And finally - a papier-mâché sun. For everyone to shine

Papier mache

Papier mache (fr. papier-mâché"Chewed paper") - an easily molded mass obtained from a mixture of fibrous materials (paper, cardboard) with adhesives, starch, gypsum, etc. papier mache make dummies, masks, teaching aids, toys, theatrical props, boxes. In some cases, even furniture.

In Fedoskino, Palekh, Kholuy from papier mache make the basis for traditional lacquer miniatures.

You can decorate the workpiece from Papier-mache not only with paints, like famous artists, but using or.

Good luck with your creativity!

WITH New Year , friends! May all your wishes come true!

Master Class

Master Class (MK) - This is the transfer of his professional experience by the master (teacher), his consistent verified actions leading to a predetermined result.

To publish a master class, the work must be original (invented and done by you). If you have used someone else's idea, you must indicate the author. (The link to the source should not lead to a site containing the sale of goods or services, since links to commercial sites are prohibited in accordance with clause 2.4. PS).

Your master class should not completely duplicate the one already available in the Land of Masters. Before publishing, check through the search that there are no similar MKs on the site.

The process should be photographed in stages (see Tips for taking pictures of crafts) or filmed (see how to upload a video).

The order of registration: the first photo is the finished work that is proposed to be performed, the second photo is the materials and tools necessary for the work (or their detailed description), then the MC stages from the first to the last. The final photo (the result of the work) can repeat the very first one. Photos should be accompanied by clear and competent comments on the process.

If you have already published your MK on another site and you also want to publish it with us, then you need to follow all the rules for designing an MK described above. In other words: in the entry with the type of MK, you cannot just put a photo of the finished product and a link to a master class on another website.

Attention: all master classes in the Land of Masters are checked by the site's assistants. If the requirements of the Master Class section are not met, the entry type will be changed. If the User Agreement of the site is violated, for example, copyright is violated, the record will be removed from publication.

The New Year holiday is coming soon - everyone's favorite and most anticipated, especially children. You need to prepare carefully. And I managed to make such a fun company. Everything is done simply, you can call the children for help.

For work we need:

Materials (edit)

  • Old newspapers;
  • Wire;
  • Threads;
  • Toilet paper;
  • Egg shells;
  • Sushi sticks;
  • Gouache and acrylic paint;
  • PVA glue;
  • Old cardboard;
  • Shampoo can;
  • Burnt out light bulb;
  • Broken Christmas tree decorations.

Tools

  • Scissors;
  • Blender;
  • Glue gun.

My daughter prepares a lot of papier-mâché out of toilet paper (we didn't buy paper, it stayed with us after children's contests).

From old newspapers, we form the basis for a snowman. We wrap it with threads for strength. Then, carefully, in several stages, we spread the mass of papier-mâché. We dry well every time.

While the base for the snowman is drying, let's take care of Santa Claus. To do this, you need to combine a shampoo can and an old Christmas tree ball. We sculpt hands, nose and beard from papier-mâché. And dry again.

In the meantime, let's take care of the snowman. Cut out the stand from the old cardboard calendar, stick it with papier-mâché. Dry. When the stand dries up, we put a snowman blank on it. We fasten the details with papier-mâché. We make a snowman's head from an old light bulb. We also cover the head with a mass of papier-mâché. Dry.

When the snowman is dry, skin it for smoothness and paste over with napkins and PVA. From pieces of wire with the help of a thread we make handles - twigs.

Now you need to attach the handles to the snowman. For this we need hot glue. We sculpt a bird from papier-mâché and fix it on the hat. We knit a scarf from a small ball.

We paint the snowman and Santa Claus with paints. We attach the old man with the help of papier-mâché to the stand. Dry. We knit a hat with a pompom for Santa Claus.

Now let's take on the monkey and the gnome. For them, we need: egg shells, a Christmas ball, pieces of wire, sushi sticks, napkins and a lot of papier-mâché.

Paste the Christmas ball and shells with napkins and dry. For a monkey, we form handles, legs, ears and a tail from wire, attach to the calf and coat with papier-mâché. Dry.

The gnome, unfortunately, did not have a photo in the process. But it is very similar to the manufacture of a monkey.
For the gnome, sushi sticks will serve as legs, and a papier-mâché ball as a head. We make handles from pieces of wire using a thread. We sew clothes from pieces of fabric. Coloring.
These are the handsome guys!

One of these monkeys was used for our composition, and the rest were presented to friends and acquaintances.

That's all, our creation is ready.

The adhesive is the adhesive. The most common options are:

  1. Ordinary office glue or. It is most suitable for simple crafts done by younger preschool children.
  2. Wallpaper glue. It is easy to prepare, which ensures widespread use.
  3. Paste. You can cook it yourself by dissolving starch in boiling water with stirring.

To impart certain properties to the mixture, other components are additionally introduced. The plasticity of the mass is given by vegetable oil and. To give strength to the crafts, after hardening, gypsum, alabaster or putty are added to the raw materials.

Attention! Each master has his own secrets of making papier-mâché and, in his own way, adjusts the recipe empirically.

The technology for making papier-mâché crafts includes several stages:

  1. Preparation of the starting material.
  2. Formation of the base. Several options can be used. - the mass is laid out on a flat surface in the form. Thin-walled - a complex shape is covered with a thick mixture, while the mass repeats all the depressions and bulges. Masks are a typical example. Volumetric figures - they are formed on a frame or by analogy with plasticine. So you can make dolls and.
  3. The hardening of the craft in vivo. The process can take several days, during which the product must be at rest.
  4. Coloring. After the figure has completely hardened, its final painting is carried out with the drawing of all the details. The best option is. Volumetric coloring is provided by adding the desired dye (pigments, gouache) to the prepared raw materials. Figures are often varnished (colorless or with a tinted effect).

Crafts for the New Year

New Year's papier-mâché crafts can replace Christmas tree decorations and decorate the room. Beautiful balls can be made using the waving technique.

A mixture is prepared for the manufacture of volumetric ornamental figurines. It is best to use toilet paper. A sufficiently plastic mass can be obtained by dissolving 1 roll of paper in 700-750 ml of water.

After obtaining a homogeneous mass, squeeze out the water, add a binder (PVA glue, wallpaper glue or paste). The mixture should resemble thick sour cream in consistency. You can make figurines using children's sand molds. The mass is poured into them, and after hardening, it is carefully removed and painted.

Features of making dolls

There are many options for how to make a papier-mâché doll, from very simple kids crafts to original art creations.

The mass is prepared on the basis of loose paper - toilet paper, napkins, egg containers, etc. PVA glue, wallpaper glue or paste is used as an adhesive. The consistency of the mass should correspond to soft plasticine.

There are many options for how to make a papier-mâché doll, from very simple kids crafts to original art creations.

A simple doll is made in this order:

  1. A shape for the head is molded from plasticine. Then it is covered with a thin layer of paper pulp. After it has hardened, an incision must be made through which the plasticine must be removed. The final formation of the thickness of the workpiece is carried out by adding the required amount of mass. The thickness should be 5-6 mm. Eye sockets, nose, mouth, ears are formed.
  2. A wire frame is assembled for the body. The prepared mass is superimposed on it with the simultaneous formation of the neck, arms and legs.
  3. Joining the torso to the head with PVA glue.
  4. The doll's outfit is sewn from the fabric of the desired color.
  5. The whole doll is painted with white acrylic paint. A slight peach shade can be added. Facial features are drawn.
  6. Hair is made of floss or woolen threads. They are glued to the head, the hairstyle is formed.
  7. Clothes are put on and secured.

Papier-mâché can be used to make a complex doll with movable elements (ball-jointed doll). Such a craft is within the power of an experienced craftsman.

It is assembled according to previously prepared drawings. The composition includes the following ingredients: toilet paper, PVA glue, plaster-based putty, liquid detergent.

Papier-mâché can also be used to make a complex doll with movable elements (ball-jointed doll)

The mass is prepared as follows. The paper is dissolved in hot water (55-65 degrees) for 5-6 hours, it is better to use a mixer for mixing. After obtaining a homogeneous mass, the water is squeezed out through cheesecloth, glue and detergent are added (1 tbsp. L. Per 1 l of the mixture). The last in the mixture is putty (120-140 g / l).

All elements of the doll are sculpted from papier-mâché separately. For a movable connection between them, a strong tight elastic band or screw connection is used. In the latter case, a screw is inserted into one of the parts, and a nut is inserted into the adjacent element. The mating surfaces must be well machined to ensure a snug fit.

Steampunk technique

Recently, steampunk figures have come into vogue. In fact, this is a fantastic allegory with the transfer of ancient and outlandish elements.

Originality and irony are especially appreciated in such figures. The jumble of building blocks may be the most unexpected, but they should create a single impression.

Recently, steampunk figures have become fashionable.

As an example of steampunk crafts, consider making a fantastic Fish.

The materials used are papier-mâché, foam panel, cardboard, hardboard sheet, leatherette, studs for furniture upholstery, various small gears, shells and all kinds of household appliances spare parts.

The base of the Rybka is made of a foam plastic panel 1-1.5 cm thick. One longitudinal and several transverse corrugated board edges are placed on it. The entire base is covered with papier-mâché in the consistency of soft plasticine.

The fins are cut out of hardboard with a jigsaw according to a cardboard pattern and fixed on papier-mâché. Scales can be formed from curtain rings and leatherette. Various parts of the mechanisms are installed on top. Here you need to show your imagination, because no specific order is provided.

It's important that the fish looks like a mechanized monster.

Then the workpiece is primed to create a brown background, and some details are highlighted with golden acrylic paint. Finally, the fish is varnished in 3-4 layers. The size of such a craft is 85-100 cm in length.

Making masks

Some of the most impressive papier-mâché crafts are African masks. Such handmade creations can decorate the interior of any apartment. Their size is 35-37 cm in height, 21-24 cm in width.

The mass is prepared on the basis of toilet paper. One mask will require 2 rolls. The paper is dissolved in hot water, and then mixed with PVA glue (420-440 g), and you need to take thick glue for construction work. To give plasticity, linseed oil (3 tablespoons) is added. When stirring the mixture, it is advisable to use a mixer.

A spherical PVC food tray works well for the mold. Its configuration resembles a mask. A papé-mâché layer is applied to this shape. The main details are laid out separately - nose, eyebrows, lips. Eyes are forming.

Smoothing is provided with your fingers, as well as a stack and a knife. It will take 12-14 days for the craft to fully harden. Then the mask is puttyed with a thin layer and sanded after the putty dries. The surface should be perfectly smooth.

Such handmade creations can decorate the interior of any apartment.

The coloring of the mask is carried out in a special mode. First, a primer is applied, and then the entire front surface is painted with white acrylic paint. The next step is to paint on top with black paint.

After drying with a sponge, pearlescent enamel is applied in the right places. The final operation is acrylic varnish coating. You can use glossy or matt varnish. The photo shows examples of the execution of crafts.
