How to make a flower angel

At the beginning of work, you need to print the tilde angel patterns or draw them from the monitor screen.

torso

Sew the skin color fabric and the green fabric together. Iron the seam, fold the workpiece in half, right side inward. Translate the pattern of the body of an angel.

Cut and baste, leaving allowances. Make small cuts on the allowance exactly in those places where the seam will bend a lot. Sew details. Sew the arms and legs according to the same principle. Turn the pieces right side out and iron them. In order for the legs of the figurine to be bent, you need to stuff them halfway, stitch them across, and then stuff them to the end.

Insert the legs into the hole at the bottom of the torso and sew a seam, thereby securing them. Stuff the handles and sew the angel flower tilde to the body.

Dress

Cut a 26 x 52 cm piece of fabric with a floral pattern plus allowances. Fold the workpiece in half crosswise, right side inward and sew.

Turn the dress inside out and iron the seam allowances at the hem and top of the dress. Hem the hem.
Put the dress on the figure, pleat along the top edge and secure with pins. The dress must be high-waisted (see illustrations). Sew the dress to the angel figurine.
Fold the fabric for the belt in half, right side inward, translate the pattern - template. Sweep the workpiece, stitch and cut.

Turn the belt right side out, iron it and tie it around the tilde flower angel figurine. Fasten with a few stitches so that the ends of the belt lie neatly.

Sew one paper flower to a decorative belt, fasten the other in the hair of an angel

Wings

Fold the fabric for the wings in half right side in and translate the pattern. Baste the workpiece, stitch, cut out leaving allowances, turn right side out and iron.

Stitch the ends of the angel's wings to make feathers.

Stuff the “feathers” with a wooden Chinese stick, and then stuff the rest of the wings with stuffing. Sew up the turning hole. Sew the wings onto the tilde figure.

Sandals

Trace the sandal template twice onto the rubber sheet and cut out. With a few neat stitches, sew the sandals to the legs of the figurine and secure a small flower with a bead.

It remains to make the doll using blush and a pencil.

So let's get started:

We cut out the tulip pattern or transfer it to paper from the computer screen.

Tulip flower pattern

We do the same with the leaf and stem of the tulip, transfer from the pattern, cut it out, leaving room for an allowance and fix it with a pin.

When all the details are cut out, we begin to sew them on a typewriter, leaving room for eversion.

When all the details are stitched, we cut off the excess fabric with curly scissors or simply make notches with scissors in the places of rounding, we turn the details out using an ordinary sushi stick.

And fill with synthetic winterizer.

We sew by hand and trim the opening of the bud, and also fill the unsewn end of the stem inside.

Sew the tulip stem to the bud with a hidden seam.

We bend and sew the seams also of the tulip leaf.

Making dolls is a direction of needlework related to the tailoring of decorative toys. Tildas have their own characteristics, so it is simply impossible to confuse them with other dolls. The characters embodied in this technique are quite different - they are fairies, girls, and representatives of the animal world. Tilda angel is very popular, because such a toy can be a wonderful gift for any holiday.

Characteristic features of Tilda

The main distinguishing feature of all pupae of this type is the elongated, slightly exaggerated shape of all limbs and the head. Besides, Tilda's eyes are indicated by two sewn-in dots, beads and artificial doll eyes are not used here. Any Tilda has a light make-up, at least toasty cheeks. Hair is made either from yarn or felting wool.

Materials for sewing such cuties are taken exclusively natural - coarse calico, linen, cotton, etc. There is a rule according to which the doll's clothes should not contain more than three colors, and pastel shades are preferred. Ribbons and lace act as decor, rhinestones and other shiny decorations are out of place here. You can fill the pupae with holofiber, synthetic winterizer or cotton wool.

As a rule, for the "naked" parts of the doll's body, a fabric is taken that would best resemble the natural skin color. However, it is not always possible to find such material. In this case, you can independently paint the white calico. Proportions and ratio of material and dyes:

  • Fabric - 1 m.
  • Water - 2l.
  • Coffee - 6 tbsp. l.
  • Salt - 2 tbsp. l.
  • Vinegar 2-3 tbsp. l.

Wash the fabric before dyeing and rinse thoroughly. Pour water into a saucepan. Add coffee and salt, boil the fabric in this liquid for at least 20 minutes. Then rinse 2-3 times in clean water. Add vinegar to the water for the last time. It is best to dry the fabric without wringing, without throwing it over the rope, otherwise a dark strip will remain.

The variety of forms, the emphasized tenderness and softness of these toys and their individuality have won the favor of thousands of fans around the world. With the help of such a toy, you can create a composition for a photo, for example, by planting it next to a cup of real tea, scattering anise stars and cinnamon sticks nearby.

autumn angel

Tilda angel can serve as a wonderful present for any autumn holiday. A life-size pattern will result in a doll 60-63 cm high. The young lady in a coat, beret and rubber boots is Tilda the autumn angel. A master class on sewing such a beauty will require:

Making a figure

Print pattern sheets in A4 format, cut out the details. In the figure, the dotted lines indicate the places of transition of tissues. Therefore, before transferring the pattern to the material, you need to sew the fabric cuts together in pairs and iron the seam.

After that, fold the fabric face to face and chop it with needles along the seam of the transition so that this line coincides when sewing. Circle the details of the pattern on the material, cut out with allowances for the seams and stitch, without closing along the line of the future connection of the parts. Allowances need to be cut. The result should be the following details: two arms, two legs and a whole torso with a head.

Turn right side out and carefully iron all the elements. After that, fill the legs with holofiber up to about the knee, start a machine stitch at this level, after which continue stuffing the details. The doll's legs will bend. Sew up the legs filled with holofiber.

The body is tightly stuffed with filler in the upper part, in the middle and at the bottom of the holofiber there should be less so that the doll bends. Topstitch the bottom. The handles are tightly stuffed, but the holes are not built up.

Baste and stitch the legs to the body. Sew the arms neatly with a hidden seam.

Hair for an angel is done in several stages. First of all, you need to outline the line of the bangs and embroider it with floss threads. After that, insert several pins into the seam line, and insert the wire perpendicular to them into the head, piercing the doll's head through and through. Run a few turns of thread along the wire, then start wrapping the doll's head with this thread, guided by the pins. After all the hair has taken its place, wind the ends of the threads around the wire, bend it and wrap it towards the head. Sew the parting with threads. The hairstyle is ready.

Draw eyes with a pencil, put dots with acrylic paint. It is best to use a thin brush or toothpick. Blush Tilda's cheeks.

We sew clothes

We sew clothes - pantaloons, a skirt, a coat and a beret. Transfer the pattern of pantaloons to the fabric folded in half and cut out, not forgetting the allowances. Finish all edges with a closed cut, and carefully iron the finished clothes. Put panties on the doll, collect a few folds at the hips and grab a thread there.

For a skirt, you need a rectangle of fabric 40 by 30 cm, which is folded in half with a pattern inside. Stitch along the side seam, hem the bottom edge in one addition, and pull the top edge onto the thread with a fold, but do not fix. Put the skirt on the doll, pulling almost to the armpits, and only after that fix the fold. Glue a satin ribbon as a belt and decorate with a button.

A paper pattern of a beret is outlined on the fabric in 4 copies. Cut out the details and stitch along all lines except the bottom edge. Turn on face and iron. On the head of the doll, the beret is held either with glue or with a hidden seam.

It is better to sew a coat from a denser material than other clothes, for example, from fleece. Transfer the details of the pattern to the material and cut out. Baste the sleeves with the main part, baste the hood. Sew these details to the base, and then stitch the sleeves themselves along the middle seam. Turn right side out, sew remaining gap. Put a coat on the doll.

We decorate with wings

The wings for the autumn beauty are somewhat different from other Tild angel dolls, their patterns are arranged in such a way that the wings are put on the back of the doll like a backpack. Transfer the details to a white cloth in two copies. From a narrow satin ribbon, make two loops and glue to one circled part so that the ends of the loops go inside the contour. Cover with the second part and stitch, leaving a slit. Turn the wings through it and fill them with holofiber. Sew up the opening with a hidden seam. Put the wings on the back of the tilde. Angel is ready!

spring fairy

Spring cheerful doll will be a great gift for International Women's Day or serve as a nice decorative element in any room. To sew the Tilda of a flower angel in the least troublesome way, a master class is simply necessary. For work you will need:

Operating procedure. Transfer the details of the body pattern to the fabric. Fold the material in half and fasten with pins. Sew along the drawn lines without closing them. Cut out the details with zigzag scissors. Turn right side out and fill with stuffing. Sew the legs to the bottom of the body. Sew the arms to the appropriate places.

Dress up an angel

For the top, you need a strip of fabric 10 by 20 cm. Fold the material along the long side with a pattern inside, stitch along the length. Turn right side out, make a few cross stitches in the middle. Wrap the strip around the neck of the tilde and lower it to the chest, forming a top. Sew the ends to the body.

Pants should be spacious. For them, you need to translate the trouser pattern twice, and sew the pantaloons. Iron the finished product. Gather the bottoms of the trousers on a thread, put on the doll and fasten the thread. Tuck the top cut and align with the sewing line of the top. Sew on with a hidden seam.

The denim jacket is the most delicate work in the whole process. Allowances for details should be no more than 0.5 cm. Transfer the back to jeans, pockets and collar too. Put everything together into one whole. Sew the sleeves along the middle seam, insert inside the jacket face to face, sweep and topstitch. Turn the jacket right side out, iron and put on the doll.

Hair. Sew floss threads on both sides of the parting, passing the needle under the middle seam of the head. The ability to braid the doll with braids or make another hairstyle depends on the length of the thread.

Draw eyes with acrylic paint, and tint cheeks with blush.

Wings for Tilda consist of two parts that are sewn to the jacket. If necessary, this piece of clothing can be grabbed with a few stitches to the body. The flower angel is ready!

Attention, only TODAY!

Norwegian designer Toni Finnanger once created a toy that has been winning hearts and occupied the golden hands of craftswomen for more than a decade. It is Tilda who is the epitome of comfort and coziness. She is endowed with huge positive energy and is able to return anyone to the world of childhood. But the tilde style is not limited to dolls alone. This is a whole soft and kind world, which has both simple and virtuoso techniques for performing toys.

A small part of this magical world is the tulip tilde. You can give it, for example, to your beloved friend in honor of some holiday.

What is a tilde tulip

When we pronounce the word "tilde", we mean by it the whole world. It includes not only dolls with elaborate clothes and accessories, but also a wide variety of toys made in a primitive style. One of these primitive souvenir toys is tilde tulips, a master class for making which will be discussed in this article. It was these primitive flowers that managed to win the hearts of people around the world, striking with their simplicity and beauty at the same time.

What fabrics are most preferred to make tilde flowers (tulips)

The most pleasant and cozy are fleece tulips, although in fact you can use absolutely any fabric. Of course, green shades should be chosen for the stems and leaves. Tulip stems made of checkered material or polka-dot fabric look very interesting. For buds, satin, satin or any other shiny material will be the most spectacular. The most important thing here is not to choose knitwear and too dense fabrics.

Of the colors, white, yellow and pink look the most advantageous. As well as a combination of different options in one bud. Any fabric before starting work should be washed in warm water and ironed.

Tilda Tulips: MK. Tools and materials

First of all, you will need fabric for the buds, leaves, and stems. Also a needle and thread of all necessary colors. In addition to all of the above, you will need scissors, a stuffing stick and stuffing material. As the latter, you can use sintepukh or holofiber.

Sometimes wire comes in handy. With its help, you can not only strengthen the stem of the flower, but also give it some form. You will also need a sewing machine, but if you do not have one, then you should not be upset. Such flowers can be easily sewn by hand using a "forward needle" stitch. And, of course, you can not do without a pattern.

Pattern of tulips

Tulips in the tilde style, the pattern of which is presented in this article, are not at all difficult to sew. And the patterns are quite simple. True, it is worth noting that the buds have two types of patterns. Rather, it is not the shape itself that differs, but the number of parts used to create the buds. There may be two or four. That, in fact, is all the difference.

Tulips tilde, the master class of which will be discussed later, implies the following sizes. The detail for the bud is nine centimeters high, and its widest part is five and a half centimeters. The tulip leaf is also five and a half centimeters wide in the largest section, and its length is sixteen and a half cm. The detail for the stem is a rectangle with sides of twenty and two centimeters. Of course, don't forget about the seam allowances.

Create a stem

Any tilde tulip has a stem. Let's start with him. Let's take a rectangular piece designed for the stem of the flower. Fold it in half and sew the long side and one of the short ones. The second short is left unstitched for stuffing. After stitching, all allowances should be trimmed and also cut off a corner and twist the future stem. Do not cut the fabric close to the seam. In the process of stuffing, the stem may disperse. Now it remains to fill our part. You can simply fill the stem with stuffing material, or you can strengthen it with wire. Then your tulip tilde can be bent and fixed in this position.

Making leaves

Any flower cannot be imagined without leaves. Also, tilde tulips, the photos of which you can see in this article, all contain at least one leaflet. Fold the two sheets of paper face to face, pin or baste and sew, leaving the bottom open to turn inside out. It would be ideal if you have the opportunity to cut the allowance with zigzag scissors. But if you don’t have such scissors, then you can simply make notches with ordinary scissors in curving or especially protruding places. This is necessary so that when you turn the sheet inside out, it is even in all places and no unnecessary folds appear. Iron the finished turned-out sheet and lay a line along the edge. This will add a touch of elegance to your leaflet.

Create buds

The main and most beautiful part of the tilde tulip is its bud. As mentioned above, it can consist of two or four parts. If you haven’t sewed anything special before, then opt for a bud, which consists of two parts. Make it easier, and it will turn out much more accurately. The principle of tailoring is the same as that of the leaves. Sew two pieces together, turn inside out and stuff well. Unlike leaves, of course, you do not need to sew off the edge. When the bud is full, you need to pull it tightly in the area of \u200b\u200bthe lower edge and sew it to the stem using a hidden seam.

There is another interesting variant of the button. Its pattern has the form of a rectangle, and a half of the desired size is first inserted inside, and then the filler is already laid. The rectangle is folded in half along the long side and sewn on the side. Then it is pulled together at the bottom, and the top edge is simply tucked up. Inside we put a half of the ball with the convex side to the stem. It will help keep the shape of the bud. Put the filler on top. Now the button needs to be closed. To do this, connect its opposite sides at the middle points to each other. A bead is usually sewn into the center of this connection.

Well, the tilde-tulip is ready. It remains for us only to sew a leaf somewhere in the middle of the stem and think about the design. It can be just a beautiful soft bouquet tied with a suitable ribbon. Or you can "plant" a few flowers in a makeshift pot or box.

True, for this it will be necessary to insert a wire into the stems. And with the help of such tulips you get a beautiful and cozy composition. For example, a soft wreath on the door. Remember that the beauty of tulips will largely depend on what material you will make them from. And although this is considered a primitive toy, no one forbids decorating the entire composition with additional decorative elements. For example, sew some beads to the bud or glue an artificial butterfly to the bouquet. That's why it is a creative process, to experiment for your own pleasure.

HOW MUCH DOES A BLANKET COST, OR HOW TO CALCULATE THE PRICE OF YOUR PATCHWORKMonday, June 30, 2014 8:06 pm + to quote book Starting to sew patchwork for yourself, hardly anyone immediately thinks about their price. Meanwhile, leaving our home for the world, things made of scraps bring the first customers - customers who "also want such beauty for themselves." And the first question of the customer: “How much does your patchwork quilt cost?” often confuses the novice master. And, meanwhile, this question is not idle. Imagine yourself in the place of the customer. You want to buy some thing (or order its manufacture), the quality suits you (we looked at friends, felt it, liked it), it is logical to find out if your desires coincide with your capabilities? At the same time, as a rule, the customer does not care about the price to the nearest cent. Interesting price range. What is the price? One hundred rubles or a thousand? Five thousand or fifty? Will the announced price be attractive for the customer or not? Therefore, do not be afraid of the question of price and frantically try in your mind (!) to draw up a complete calculation and business plan at the same time. Prepare for the question in advance, even BEFORE you are asked it. Or maybe already asked? Then arm yourself with a pen and a piece of paper - let's start the calculation. To begin with, let's calculate the cost of something that you have already sewn, for example, a patchwork quilt. Even if you sewed it for yourself and are not going to sell it. Product cost = material costs + depreciation of your equipment (sewing machine, iron, etc.) + resources (electricity, water, etc.) + your work. Let's go in order. 1. Material costs - this is how much you paid for the fabrics, threads, filling and other materials used to make the quilt. If the fabrics were from your old stocks - go to the store, see how much they cost now. Count everything, write down the number. 2. Equipment wear. The service life of a sewing machine is approximately 5 years, or 1235 working days, or 9880 working hours (assuming an 8-hour day with a five-day working week). That is, you, working on a sewing machine to order, should be able to buy a new machine in 5 years, no worse than the one you have now. Divide the cost of your sewing machine by 9880 hours - you get approximately how much you need to set aside for 1 hour of work for the wear of the machine. Write down the resulting number. 3. Resources. While we are sewing and ironing, the iron and sewing machine are working. Both devices consume electricity. Take a look at the specifications - find out how many kilowatts per hour they consume. Multiply by the cost of 1 kW in your region - write down the resulting figure. 4. Your work. The most difficult option for many. Imagine that you earn a living by sewing patchwork. What monthly salary would suit you? Treat yourself objectively, taking into account your experience and the level of prices / salaries in your area. You should not set yourself a salary that you cannot live on, but taking astronomical numbers “from the ceiling” is also not the best option. Divide the salary you just set for yourself by 168 hours (this is the average number of hours worked per month). And this new figure - the price of your work per hour - also write down. 5. And now the most important thing - remember how much time you spent on making a blanket. ***** For the future - somewhere near the workplace, put-attach a piece of paper with a pen or pencil to record the start and end times of work. It is rare when it is possible to sew a whole product in one sitting. Therefore, it is useful to record the time of your work immediately as you go. Then (when you finish the product) you will be able to calculate everything to the nearest minute, and draw conclusions about how much time it takes to manufacture this or that product. ***** So far, for calculations, we manage with your memory and memories, such as, “two hours during so many days, so many hours in total.” 6. The numbers that you got for the items "wear and tear", "resources" must be multiplied by the number of hours that you worked on your equipment (typewriter, iron), and the figure for the position "your work" should be multiplied by all that time when you were working on making the quilt (including cutting fabrics and all sewing, including ironing). 7. At the end, add up all the data obtained in paragraphs 1, 2 and 6: material costs + depreciation of your equipment + resources + your work. So you get the cost of the product. 8. The final step is to convert the size of the blanket into square meters (multiply the width of the blanket by its length), and determine how much 1 sq.m costs. such a product (with such a patchwork pattern (according to the complexity of execution), with such a stitch, etc.), dividing the cost of the blanket by the number of square meters in this blanket. And here it is - the treasured figure - the cost of one square meter of your patchwork product - in your hands! Next - multiply it by the size of the blanket that the customer wants to sew (buy). Allowances for increased complexity (more difficult to manufacture patchwork blocks, more time-consuming stitch, etc.) also count. For those who have a difficult relationship with mathematics, you can omit the values \u200b\u200bof “equipment wear” and “resources”. The cost in this case will come from the cost of materials and your work. There will be errors, yes. But after all, as I noted at the beginning, the calculation presented above is suitable for those for whom sewing patchwork products is not the only way to earn their daily bread. If you already approach the issue with all seriousness (as an entrepreneur), then you need to include in the price and future taxes, inflation, and associated costs, and profit from entrepreneurial activity (so that there is room to grow :)). Naturally, I do not claim that the option I proposed is the only possible one. Everyone thinks, as he can, by virtue of his knowledge and experience. Someone determines the price with a formula, such as, "for how much it will not be a pity to part with your creation." But, in my opinion, it is not very suitable for products that are still in the project in the head of your customer, and possibly yours. And further. Do not decide for the customer whether the price will be acceptable to him or not. You may not know the level of his material wealth, his attitude to manual work, in principle, and to your products, in particular. Yes, there are people who are unable to appreciate manual labor, in principle - be prepared for this. They just aren't your customers. You should not devalue your work - instead of sewing for such a person, do something more pleasant and useful for yourself. Take a walk, work with children, read an interesting book. Take care of household chores, in the end - and then there will be more benefits!
