This bright sundress looks very impressive, and you can sew such a sundress without a pattern in just an hour! The whole secret is that the sundress is sewn from two silk scarves with a print, so a sundress pattern is not required.
Buy 2 silk scarves. The length of the side of the scarf can be different - 0.8 m, 1 m, 1.2 m. The shorter the side of the scarf, the correspondingly shorter your sundress will be. The length of the side of the scarves in the photo of the sundress is about 1.0 m.

1.Attach the scarf on the figure, mark for the cutout of the sundress along the chest. Sew the scarves below the mark (middle of the front - seam).

2.Wrap the scarves on the sides, connect at the back. The cut of the sundress along the back can be made according to your wishes - a little deeper or a little higher.

3.Click the scarves along the mark, stitch (middle of the back - seam).

4. Tuck the allowances along the neckline of the sundress and along the cutout of the back of the sundress, stitch.

5.Stitch the rubber vein in a zigzag along the dotted lines, pull the cutter under the chest, adjusting the tension, secure the ends of the elastic with a stitch.

6.Sew ready-made straps to the corners of the scarves, cross the straps on the back and sew them under the cut of the back of the sundress.

Another version of a sundress, but from one scarf.

For him, you need a scarf with the maximum side length, otherwise you will not get a sundress, but a tunic. Although ... why not.

Cut off one corner, as shown in the figure. The cut width is the distance at which the straps will be spaced from each other. We bend the sections, or process the straps to match the trim.
Sew on the straps. Next, we wrap the scarf around the body and mark the beginning of the middle seam of the back. Sew the slices down from the mark. We cross the straps on the back and sew to the back.

Option 3

You will need 3 handkerchiefs, matching thread and braid.
When you choose a scarf in order to sew a sundress out of it, you can see if it fits in size by bringing it to your chest and holding it by one of the ends, as in the picture:

The whole process can be described in one diagram. You need to make three seams and sew on the straps.
For the front, fold two scarves and measure 17 cm from one corner.

From the second corner 27 cm, as shown in the picture ... ... draw a diagonal line, bait and sew. I pressed the fabric with a plinth :) for a reference point, and I got it. You can try to sew right away, but the slippery fabric of the scarf will knock out and spoil the line.

The length of the straps must be selected independently, depending on how you want the sundress to sit. I pinned it with pins and saw how it would be better - I chose a length at which the straps are quite far from each other - it looks better with wide shoulders. The braid was launched from the side seams, sewing it to the edge of the fabric and additionally securing it at the corners. From the back, I simply sewed it to the corner of the scarf, wrapping the braid so that it would fit correctly.

You can sew a ribbon under the bust and tie or wear a sundress just with a belt.

OPTION 4. Dress from square coupons.

You will need two handkerchiefs (or two coupons) 90x90 cm in size from natural silk. Sew two scarves around the edges according to the diagram:
Segment 1-2 is the middle of the front.
Section 3-4 is the middle of the back.

The approximate distances from the corner of the scarf, where the seams of the front and back begin, are shown in the drawing.

Depending on your size, these distances may increase or decrease, estimate their size, having previously swept away the edges of the scarves, and try on the dress yourself. Sew on the straps by adjusting the length. Put on the dress, draw a drawstring line under the bust. Stitch on the drawstring from the wrong side, and insert the elastic, adjusting its tension according to the figure. This is best done with a friend or assistant.

If you want a dress with a more open back, as in the photo below, sew up the back seam, after sweeping it up and trying on the dress for yourself.

For making, you need 2 large scarves. Their colors should be the same. It is advisable to choose a similar pattern, combine large patterns on each side.

The top of the dress is initially sewn. It is worth leaving a hole for the head. After that, you should deal with the side seams. Here, too, do not forget about the holes for the hands. It is enough to try on the product and outline the required length for your hands to pass comfortably. The dress is almost ready. To make it look beautiful, you need to choose a cute, matching color strap or a narrow belt. This will complete the image.

From one scarf. Cut one corner, tuck the cut and make a drawstring. Sew back seam. Insert the tape into the drawstring. Ready! If you wish, you can trim the dress so that the hem is even (blue outline). The braid can be tied around the neck or crossed over the back and sewn on.

Dresses from two scarves on a bias Dress 1 Sew 2 scarves on two adjacent sides, not reaching the corner of 20 cm. At the corners, make 2 loops and insert the braid. Choose the front and back according to your mood.
