Crochet pattern with Solomon loops. Crochet Solomon knot: diagrams and descriptions, MK on knitting a scarf and shawl in this technique with step-by-step photos and video lessons. Crochet Solomon loops

Thrush

A hook is a tool that enables its owner to create many unique things. Each product carries the warmth of the hands and soul of the craftswoman. The crocheted pattern is original and complete. A separate place among crochet patterns is occupied by a pattern cleverly called "Solomon's knot". Knitting such a pattern is not difficult, but it requires certain skills in working with this tool. This article provides an annotation on how to crochet a Solomon knot pattern, the diagrams below are easy to read and understand even for a novice craftswoman.

The Solomon knot technique is suitable for a variety of pieces, from interior decor to stylish accessories and garments. Scarves, stoles, capes, ponchos, openwork blouses and even swimwear - everything will look just great. The article provides a master class on making a scarf, on the basis of which it will later be possible to create other more complex elements of a needlewoman's wardrobe. First of all, the article contains a description, without which no further work is possible.

The foundation of the basics

The process of tying a solomon knot is shown in the diagram below.

First you need to create a chain of 2 air loops. Next, a single crochet is knitted into the loop closer to the hook, a long loop is pulled. The working thread is caught by the crochet and passed through a long loop without tightening the last. To get a knot, you need to grab a working thread and knit a single crochet.

A long loop is pulled again and a single crochet is knitted, so the knot itself is formed. Next, a chain is knitted, based on the required length, predetermined by the final product.

It is important to take into account that the width of the finished item will be less than the length of the chain, therefore, in order to correctly calculate the length, you need to knit more than three rows using the Solomon knot technique.

Another important point is that the number of Solomon loops must be even. Otherwise, the finished canvas will be asymmetrical. When knitting the second row, you must insert the hook into the fifth knot relative to the end of the row and knit a single crochet. Further, the knitting of the Solomon loops continues with their fastening in the knots of the first row.

On the third row, three loops are knitted. Then they are fixed in the middle knot of the second row chain. In the same way, knitting of all subsequent rows continues. The seemingly difficult task becomes more and more simple as you study the schemes and progress the work.

We create chic things

After mastering the algorithm for knitting Solomon loops and creating a pattern of Solomon knots, you can proceed to creating finished products. At this stage of the provision of materials, a diagram of a scarf using the Solomon knot technique is presented.

Such a product looks very gentle and neat, it gives the image of lightness and femininity. A scarf using the Solomon knot technique can be worn both in the cold season with a fur coat or coat, and in a warm season with a jacket or cardigan.

All that remains is to tie it up.

The finished product diagram looks quite simple.

In fact, everything is not much more complicated.

First of all, you need to pick up the yarn. The thinner the thread, the more airy the scarf will look, the thicker the thread, the more massive, voluminous and pronounced the pattern will look, respectively, and the finished thing. The color of the yarn also plays an important role. On a dark yarn, the pattern will be more difficult to distinguish than on a light one, but one of our tasks is to show off the skills of the craftswoman. On the other hand, on a dark scarf, possible flaws will be poorly visible, if suddenly the needlewoman does not succeed in everything the first time.

The knitting process consists of tying ten Solomon knots in the first row, plus two knots required for a turn. Starting from the second row, the product is knitted according to the pattern until it reaches the desired length of the final knitted product. The elongated loops are knitted into the knots of the previous row.

It is very important that all the extended loops are equal in size, otherwise the scarf will be deformed and ugly.

At the end of the work, the scarf is sewn on the side that is shorter. When sewing, you need to match all the edge knots. Optionally on ready product you can add brushes or other decor.

And now I will show in detail for beginners how to tie this.

Since for my future shawl, I bought yarn, consisting of 40% angora and 60% acrylic (skein weight 100 g, thread length 500 m), then all the samples are knitted from it. The hook is my favorite - # 2.5.

First, we knit air loops. Their number should be divisible by 8 + 3 p.

First row: 3 air. n. rise, 2 pillars. with / crochet, Solomon loop ...

... skipping 2 air loops of the initial chain, in the 3rd we knit a single crochet column, then another Solomon loop and 3 double crochet stitches.

We continue to the end of the row and turn the knitting over.

Second row: 3 VP lifting, 2 Solomon loops, 3 column with / yarn and so on. We turn knitting.

The third row is knitted like the first, only a single crochet between solomon loops knit in a loop between the same loops of the second row.

If you continue like this, you will get a very nice pattern:

And the second pattern I have chosen is knitted according to this pattern. I found something similar on the Internet, but changed it a little (and drew it the way I knitted it).

We collect air loops in an amount divisible by 8 + 5 p.

First row: 3 air stitches, * Solomon loop, table b / yarn in the third air loop, Solomon loop, 3 stitches with / yarn in the fourth air stitch. (see diagram), 1 air loop*, continue from * to *.

At the beginning of the second row, knit 1 air. a loop and a single crochet in a Solomon knot, then 2 Solomon loops and 5 single crochets (moreover, the 1st column is knitted into the air.loop of the first row, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th - in the columns with a crochet, and 5th - in a bundle of Solomon).

The tied second row looks like this:

The third row starts with 3 VP lifting, then * 3 stitches with a double crochet in a knot, 1 air loop, a Solomon loop, a single crochet in the middle post with a double crochet in the second row, a Solomon loop *. Repeat from * to *.

It turns out like this:

The fourth row is knitted like the second, only with a shift.

This is how Solomon loops look like in patterns:

I really like the result of using solomon loops in patterns. And you?

Many novice needlewomen want to crochet a shawl, but this, at first glance, is available only to experienced knitters. However, today I want to acquaint you with a pattern that is within the power of a person who first took the hook in his hands - this is the pattern of SOLOMON'S LOOP.

There is no need to decorate the product with any additional patterns. Your shawl will be beautiful, delicate and light anyway.

How to knit a shawl

So let's get started. We will crochet the shawl with Solomon loops.

We need a thin, lightweight yarn. I took mohair and hook number 3.

1 row- knit with elongated loops (1.5 - 2 cm), this will be the edge of the product. With the same loops we will knit the sides and top of our shawl. The rest of the loops will be about 1 cm long.

Pull out the first loop to a length of about 1.5 - 2 cm.

We grab the working thread and pull it into a loop, hold the threads with our fingers.

We start a hook between the walls and the back of the resulting loop.

We draw out the thread.

The hook has two loops. We grab the working thread and knit them together.

The first Solomon loop is ready. Similarly, we knit all the others to the desired width of the product.

2 row- we knit two more Solomon loops, but smaller (about 1 cm long).

We insert the hook into the fourth knot from the hook, which is located to the left of the last long loop.

We knit a single crochet.

* Again we knit two loops one length at a time.

And we knit a single crochet again into the next knot of the first row. *

We knit in the same way to the end of the row.

3 row- we knit a lifting loop - this is an elongated Solomon loop, the same size as the loops of the 1st row.

We turn knitting.

We knit one Solomon loop and lower it into the first knot of the 2nd row and knit a single crochet.

4 row- and we knit all subsequent rows as the 3rd row.

The last row also needs to be knitted with elongated loops, such as we knitted the lifting loops and the loops of the first row.

So that the shawl has a beautiful rectangular shape, we knit the first two loops of the last row small, as we knitted the entire product. And we fix them with a single crochet in the first knot.

We knit the next loop and all subsequent ones with long loops and fasten one (and not two) to each free knot.

Cut the thread and fasten.

The shawl is ready!

Crochet shawl video

In more detail the whole process of how to crochet a shawl with Solomon loops, you can watch in the video master class.

Forming a pattern loop"Solomon's knot"

Explanation: pull the nada loop 1 - 1.5 cm and make sure that all subsequent loops are the same length;))

When knitting a scarf, I use this pattern, here it is successfully shown the correct location of the elongated loops to obtain the desired pattern. My circuit changes: instead of 3 vp. lifting I knit 4 VP, and so that the edge of the scarf is not heavy, I do not knit 2 columns with 2 ya crochets (hereinafter Art. 2 \ n).

And now myself MK kerchiefs:

Step 1 - dial 4 vp, 2 extended loops (as in the photo), and make st. 2 \ n in the 1st century. (shown by an arrow)

the result is the first "square"

2 step - 4 vp lifting and 2 vyt. P., rotate knitting, then perform a single crochet between 2 pieces. p. of the previous row (the junction is shown with an arrow), thus the 2nd "square" is obtained

3 step - 2 v. n. and art. 2 \ n in the last vp 1st row (the junction is shown with an arrow), i.e. one more "square" is ready

4 step - repeat step 2, then knit 2 knits. P.and perform a single crochet between 2 pieces. p. of the previous row (the connection point is shown with an arrow), repeat the 3rd step

Knit the following rows by analogy, using the pattern. If something is not clear, ask specific questions - how I can, I will help)))

I wish you good luck and creative success !!!

In this master class, you will learn how to crochet Solomon loops easily and quickly. This is a fairly detailed photo tutorial that will help you master this technique in just a few minutes. Even a novice master is able to tie Solomon's knot and create very beautiful things with its help. Take yarn and a hook in your hands - let's start training!

To create solomon loops, we recommend choosing a yarn that is not too thick and not too fuzzy. Things with a Solomon knot pattern turn out much more beautiful when the thread is smooth and thin - this emphasizes their texture and delicacy. Accordingly, we also take the hook not too thick - better metal.

Progress

We collect a row of loops.

We grab a working loop with a crochet and pass it through the next one.

When we have completed the usual loop, we grab the second thread with a hook and grab the working thread. We make a second regular loop. Pass the thread through both loops and pull the long loop again. That is, we repeat the step that was the first.

Then we lower the loops to the first row and knit a Solomon loop by passing the thread.

We start repeating everything from the very beginning. When two long loops have already been knitted, repeat the process again. So you need to knit a whole row with a Solomon pattern. Then go upstairs. The rise is performed by knitting elongated loops.

We continue knitting in rows. So we get a Solomon knot.
