The idea of \u200b\u200bthe holiday "visiting Cleopatra"

Recreate the chambers of the great queen, and together dream up what could happen there when no one sees? What could Cleopatra do, for example, in her free time from public affairs? Indeed, it is very interesting to come up with your own history of Great Egypt!

The main characters of the holiday

PREPARATION FOR THE FESTIVAL OF CLEOTRA AND THE PHAROAHS

1. Invitations to Cleopatra's Feast

What is the first association you have when you think of Egypt? Well, Cleopatra of course. What else? Pyramids, sand, papyrus... Exactly! I also came up with the only option (and I think not a very bad one) of the design of the invitations. I decided to make them in the form of an ancient manuscript. That's what happened!

Of course, to make such invitations you need to make some efforts. First of all, be able to use a simple computer program - Paint. With its help, a geometric pattern was created on the "papyrus". In the center - we make the inscription:

“Queen Cleopatra considered you, ________ (name), worthy to be present at the great ritual of serving beauty! Come on ______ date, on ______. ".

And below is a note (for parents): "Do not worry! We're just going to play Egypt. This game is safe for the health and life of your children."

The edges of the invitation printed on the printer must be glued to ordinary Chinese rice sticks. Tie the folded manuscript with a ribbon and give it to the guests! Everything! It's time to prepare more serious props!

2. Play area equipment, scenery

We decided to celebrate our daughter's birthday in the garden, behind the house. The choice of such a decision was served by two weighty arguments: summer was flaunting outside the window in all its abundance, and we were the happy owners of our own house with a small backyard area. True, the program of the holiday required the creation of some kind of mysterious room: a boudoir, a wash basin, an art studio ...

And we created it! True, with a huge father's assistance. We wouldn't have made it without him!

In order to make such a hut on your own, you will need: four two-meter metal posts (they must be buried in the ground, and even, for guaranteed stability, cemented), thick steel wire (with which the frame is made) and 32 meters of white fabric. For decoration - ribbons of different colors and lengths, which are attached (also to the wire frame) with safety pins.

We covered the "floor" of the tent with old carpets, which we were going to throw away later. We divided the "Queen's boudoir" into several game zones:

Workshop (the table on which we placed the coloring sheets);
- bedchamber (sofa with soft pillows);
- a spa (a place where girls will have a mud bath for hands, make-up);
- dining room (the place where the festive dinner will take place).

Before entering the tent, the girls (by design) had to take off their shoes, put them in a basket, put on soft slippers (like medical shoe covers) and a beautiful ribbon - “Athena” on their heads (a symbol of the goddesses of the ancient world).

3. Costumes and accessories for the holiday of Cleopatra

Another important touch to the portrait of the holiday of female beauty is clothing and “precious jewelry”.

These wonderful "golden" bracelets I made myself! And you'll never guess what! And the secret is simple: a cardboard tube made of paper towels (or toilet paper), pasta, glue and a can of gold spray paint. Everything!

HOLIDAY IN THE STYLE OF CLEOPATRA

1. Games and entertainment

When all our charming guests gathered and changed their shoes, we invited them to join the creative process of creating the image of the Egyptian queen. Namely - to make for yourself a collar adorned with precious stones. I gave the girls white paper "collars" and mother-of-pearl gouache that I had prepared earlier. They drew "pebbles" with their fingers. It turned out great!

When the “little Cleopatras” were already completely ready, we started playing. Our game was called: “Guess how the Queen of Ancient Egypt rests?”. To begin with, I turned on the music, and offered to learn a few dance "Egyptian" movements. The girls caught everything on the fly! And soon we began to "travel" in the dance from one play area to another.

Our first stop: Peeling for hands "Construction of the pyramids".

A portable sandbox - a wooden trough is not too difficult to find on the farm. Well, if you happen to find nothing really wooden, an old children's bathroom (for babies) or a flower box may well serve this purpose. It is important to arrange it under a tree: paint or paste over with a special film.

The girls built "pyramids" using my silicone cake molds, and at the same time, as it were, applied "scrub" to the handles. It turned out pretty original!

Second stop: Beauty saloon.

Before the manicure, our guests received a mud mask with Dead Sea minerals and a massage using shea butter. And then they corrected the shape of the nails and painted them with gold varnish.

(also to girls): All other girls (so as not to be bored while waiting in line at the “Egyptian spa”), I invite you to take part in creating a new style for the ruling generation of pharaohs!

The girls were given pre-prepared coloring books. They drew with crayons the pharaohs of those times as they imagined him. And let me tell you, it turned out great!

Third stop: Egyptian Royal Make Up.

In this entertainment, I asked my sister to participate. She is a professional makeup artist. However, I think every mother can draw arrows with a black eyeliner, and make up the lips with bright, red lipstick for little guests!

As at the previous “stop”, so that the girls would not get bored while waiting for their turn to make-up, I suggested that they start creating “jewelry” - bracelets, rings, beads from beads and “precious” stones.

They then took these crafts home with them as a souvenir of the Egyptian holiday!

They looked at stones there (which a school geography teacher kindly lent us for the holiday) and admired their reflections in a carved mirror!

2. Treat

In accordance with the tradition that existed in ancient Egypt, the table of the queen must be rich. But the food on it should be healthy and wholesome. We met both conditions!

The main masterpiece of the festive table (which I am very proud of, as I cooked it myself) was a cake in the shape of an Egyptian pyramid. My girls especially liked the crispy puffed rice that we used to decorate the sweet structure!

And of course, everyone was delighted with real French bread and cinnamon buns, which I served hot on the table, only from a bread machine! Eating it, especially with hard cheese and grapes, was a pleasure!

In the evening, when the whole family was summing up the results of the holiday, discussing what worked and what didn’t, the mother of one of the participants in our “Egyptian party” called. She thanked and said that she had never seen a more original and peaceful holiday. It was nice, of course! This is probably the highest award for our efforts. And maybe even the adoring eyes of our daughter, who ran around the house with Egyptian ideas for a few more days!

Curious what ancient Egyptian parties were like?

Luxury, abundance, half-naked dancers and muscular guards. And sexy Cleopatra and pharaohs with majestic headdresses and make-up cooler than Jack Sparrow. And what can we say about the scenery of those feasts - the mysterious pyramids and the Sphinx!

Egypt... This country is loved and recognizable not only as a luxurious resort, but also as one of the most mysterious places on the planet, over the secrets of which scientists are still struggling.

If you like the atmosphere and design of the country of the pharaohs, then why not experience all the delights of the luxurious life of the ancient rulers by arranging a holiday in the Egyptian style! And it doesn't matter what it will be: birthday, New Year, Student's Day or corporate party.

1. Design of invitations

An option to invite by phone with the words “Come in, if anything!” it will not work. It is important to give each guest a thoughtful and beautiful inviting postcard. Here are a couple of good design ideas.

Option 1

An interesting option for an invitation to an Egyptian party would be a scroll of papyrus rolled up into a tube and tied with a thread. To do this, you will need to buy special “papyrus” paper or make it at home, as well as print out the text of the invitation in the Egyptian style.

To prepare aged paper you will need: black tea, white sheets.

To make paper with the effect of antiquity, you should brew strong black tea, and lower the sheets there for 5-8 minutes. Then take them out, dry them, write the text, roll them into a tube and bandage them. Alternatively, glue sushi sticks to the ends of the sheet so that you can wrap the paper around.

Invitations can be decorated with prints with Egyptian hieroglyphs, images of pharaohs, scarabs, sphinx, pyramids and other symbols of Egypt.

In the text of the invitation, be sure to indicate the time and place of the holiday, as well as the presence of a dress code. It is better to report it in an original way, for example, with the phrases:

  • “The Sphinx will only let those who are sober, energetic and dressed in the clothes of the ancient Egyptians to the party. And he will let out only drunk, cheerful and it doesn’t matter in what. ”
  • “The judge of the realm of the dead, Anubis, will let those who are dressed appropriately to the ancient Egyptians into the party. The rest will be sent to the devils of Egypt.”
  • “The keen eye of the god Ra sees your robe ... and what is under it. So even underwear should be Egyptian themed. And then he won’t let him!”.

Option 2

Print out a pyramid template on cardboard, carefully glue the figure, and put a note with the text of the invitation in the middle. You can write it both on plain paper and on non-special paper resembling papyrus.

2. Meeting guests

You can hold an Egyptian party in an apartment, a private house, in a country house or in a cafe. In nature, this will be difficult to do.

In order to immediately set the guests on the right thematic wave, you need, as they say, to take the Egyptian bull by the horns. We need an effective meeting! You can make it so with the help of animators in stylized costumes. Put two young athletic guys in Anubis costumes at the entrance. Shocking images will not leave indifferent any guest.

Also, animators can be involved in a festive photo session, holding contests and entertaining those present. If there are a lot of guests, it would be nice to attract a few waitresses dressed as Cleopatra.

Hand out a cool props in the Egyptian style at the entrance, it will not only cheer you up, but will also be an integral element of a beautiful photo shoot.

3. Room decoration

The pharaohs and queens of Egypt adored luxury and literally bathed in it. The decoration of the party room should correspond as much as possible to the mysterious time of the reign of the pharaohs and convey the chic and beauty of their daily life. The well-known symbols of Egypt are required: pyramids, Sphinx, tombs, scarabs, hieroglyphs, sand, mummies, camels, caravans, the Nile, the Eye of Ra and others. The more symbols of Egypt in the room, the better. If only everything looked harmonious.

Cats were adored in ancient Egypt. This animal was considered sacred and is still revered today. Therefore, figurines of cats will be very appropriate in the design of the room.

Traditionally, the ancient Egyptians sat on cushions at low tables. If possible, and the guests do not suffer from sciatica, organize just such a feast. A tablecloth with gold threads, beads and tassels on the corners will look good. Scatter fake jewelry and “gold” coins (for example, from chocolate) on the tables.

Lay a carpet on the floor, scatter pillows embroidered with gold threads throughout the room. Place real or artificial palm trees in the corners of the room. Other large houseplants will do as well.

To enhance the thematic mood, use such attributes as sand bowls, velvet curtains, silk shawls and brocades, emphasizing the luxurious life of the rulers of those times.

It is important to recreate the right entourage at an Egyptian-style party. Here, more than ever, twilight will be appropriate. Only lit fragrant candles floating in bowls of water, let them gently illuminate the room. Soft lighting will add mysticism to the celebration. Candles can be used in any size, the larger the better.

If the budget allows, you can arrange some kind of tent in the hall. To do this, you need to install metal racks in the room, stretch a wire between them, and carefully cover with a cloth. The tent can be decorated with multi-colored ribbons, secured with safety pins.

It's hard to imagine an Egyptian party without at least one mummy. It can be made from a mannequin, it is enough to wrap it with bandages, with painted black and red stains.
The "mummy" should be placed in a "sarcophagus" constructed from a box from under the refrigerator, pre-pasted with expensive fabrics. The best attribute for photography is difficult to come up with. The background for the photo shoot will be a huge poster with pyramids, camels and a bunch of treasures.

When decorating the hall, remember that the Egyptians did not abuse bright colors. Particular attention was paid to four colors: red, yellow, green and blue, each of which had its own special meaning.

4. Costumes and images

The hot climate of the desert made its own adjustments to the appearance of the people who inhabited the country of the pyramids. Men wore shenti - a wide bandage on the hips, and women kalaziris - a long piece of natural material wrapped around the body, which is held by two harnesses.

Naturally, not everyone wants to come in the traditional attire of the ancient Egyptians, so you can invite guests to simply wrap themselves in white cloth and pin it with gold pins in the shoulder area. Men can come to the party in light linen shirts tied at the hips, and as an accessory, use an ornament in the form of a sun disk, decorated with beautiful multi-colored stones.

Women can dress in light airy sundresses made of natural fabrics. As jewelry, it would be appropriate to use massive gold or gold chains and bracelets decorated with beautiful stones. Also, the ancient Egyptians did not deny themselves jewelry made of silver and iron, sometimes iron accessories surpassed even gold ones in price. The application of multi-colored enamel was popular, most often white, turquoise, blue and green shades.

Women are lucky, the Egyptian theme is loved by many designers, so you can easily pick up outfits, original bracelets and necklaces.

The Egyptians preferred black straight hair, long or square. Silk threads, leather laces can be woven into the hair, or a hoop can be put on the head. To become a brunette, it is not necessary to dye your hair, now there is a large selection of wigs for every taste.

Those who do not want to bother with tailoring an exclusive outfit can buy or rent a ready-made suit.

5. Treats and table decoration

Organize a buffet. Refuse the traditional feast, because it interferes with active fun, turning the evening into a belly feast.

A pyramid will decorate the center of the table. You can buy it or make it yourself from colored cardboard or painted foam. A cake or fruits and sweets laid out in the form of a pyramid can act as an impromptu tomb.
Egyptian cuisine loves sauces and seasonings, but not spicy.

As hot dishes for the holiday, pilaf, kebabs, kebabs, grilled meatballs, Cairo chicken, lamb stewed in tomato are perfect.

For a starter: Egyptian salad and Egyptian vinaigrette, sandwiches with ham and cucumber, canape with red caviar, lemon and herbs, and shawarma.
For dessert, serve any sweets of the East: baklava, donuts in syrup, Egyptian semolina pie with yogurt and others.

Be sure to lay out fruits, watermelon, melon, grapes, figs and dates on the tables. Seasonal assortment.

Of all the spices, the Egyptians especially distinguish red and black pepper, turmeric, cardamom, saffron, cinnamon, ground ginger, cloves and cumin.

The Egyptians are Muslims by religion, and therefore alcohol is not particularly welcome. But still, light beer and a low-alcohol drink based on oatmeal or buckwheat flour - buza - are especially popular with them. It is quite difficult to buy it from us, therefore we boldly replace it with a local analogue - light beer and tinctures.

In addition to alcoholic drinks, make sure that different types of tea are always present at the Egyptian party: black, green, mint, herbal and traditional - hibiscus. Egyptians also love coffee with cardamom, fruit juices and cocktails. The peculiarity of Egyptian drinks is that they are all very sweet.

6. Musical accompaniment

Live music is the best solution for an ancient Egyptian party, but if the budget does not allow, you can replace it with melodies with oriental motifs. As an option, use the soundtracks for the well-known movie "The Mummy", finding them on the Internet is not difficult.

7. Entertainment for guests

"Board games"

It's no secret that the ancient Egyptians simply adored board games, especially checkers. True, the rules of the game of that time have not yet been preserved, so invite guests to play this game according to modern rules. Along the way, do not forget about chess, backgammon and cards.

Hookah

At such a theme party, there is simply a must to have a hookah, because it is like a symbol of the East, a lightning rod from the anxieties accumulated during the day, a kind of club with a relaxing atmosphere where you can find an interesting conversation partner. Arrange a separate hookah room, or take a secluded corner under it in the room.

"Dancing"

Dancing in ancient Egypt was considered not just a pleasant pastime, but also an integral component of rituals and celebrations. It doesn’t matter if you are a pharaoh or a simple slave, everyone loved dancing. Therefore, prepare a selection of incendiary and calm Arabic songs.

"Queen of Egypt"

The most interesting and spicy competition at the festival, of course, will be the “Queen of Egypt”. In this competition, every girl will be able to show her true beauty in a bewitching dance to melodic oriental motifs. All participants owe their femininity, softness and plasticity in a few minutes. The girl whose dance the audience liked the most receives a prize and the title of Queen of Egypt.

"Mummy"

It's hard to imagine an Egyptian-style party without this game. The rules are very simple. A pair of people take part in the competition, the host gives each pair a roll of toilet paper. One participant must wrap the other from head to toe with paper, imitating a mummy. Whoever completes the task the fastest and recreates the most believable mummy that makes characteristic zombie sounds will win a prize.

“Cooler than Cleopatra”

Everyone knows that the Egyptians simply adored beautiful makeup. Their eyes were always distinguished by clear black arrows, symbolizing the eye of a clear falcon, long false eyelashes and blackening eyebrows. Girls will be able to demonstrate the talent of a make-up artist on their halves or just a partner in the competition. Those participants who have made the most beautiful make-up receive gifts and the right to wash off all cosmetics. Losers must wear makeup for the rest of the evening.

"Explorer of Egypt"

It's no secret that many of the secrets of Ancient Egypt, thousands of years later, have remained unsolved. The excavations continue to this day. In this regard, invite guests to play an interesting game. After the excavations, fragments of the overall picture were found, and the task is to recreate it completely. Participants are divided into 2-3 teams, each is given a thematic puzzle of 250 pieces. The team that completes the puzzle the fastest wins.

We wish you a great rest according to the full "Egyptian" program at a cool theme party!

Alas, all home quest scenarios are similar to each other. Why? Well, how to write a universal guide for all site visitors who live in different apartments and have a different set of household utensils and household appliances.

Of course, no matter how hard I try, you can’t even get close to a millimeter, which are filled from floor to ceiling with electronic, mechanical and magnetic mechanisms, talking panels, accompanied by sounds from other worlds.

You can’t do something similar to either, since a set of props for even the simplest game is made to order or bought for a lot of money.

Once again, I have to make do with paper scrolls with puzzles, a minimal role as a host, and recommend the simplest household props that can be found in any apartment. In principle, you can play in a cafe, and in the gazebo of the park.

Judging by the reviews, my readers successfully use these ideas and conduct home quests on their birthdays and just like that.

I hope I don't disappoint you this time!

Legend

The Egyptian princess Ankhesenamun (one of Akhenaten's daughters) hid jewelry in her father's tomb that she wanted to pass on to her worthy descendants. Each decoration is a talisman that brings good luck.

In 1821, many Egyptian burials were plundered by marauders, and the princess's box ended up in England, passing from one European collector to another. In the 20th century, the trace of Ankhesenamun jewelry was lost.

A few years ago, copies of 12 papyri appeared in different countries, which were written down at the behest of Ankhesenamun. In each of them a letter is encrypted, but no one managed to make a word out of them and solve the riddle of the princess.

Only to the one who glues all the papyri into one long scroll and writes the secret word, the princess will give the treasures. Each scroll begins with a horoscope. Find your date of birth and read about your superpowers, look for your destiny. It is interesting!

The essence of the game

This time I decided not to paint the role of the presenter at all. Mom, grandmother or sister just needs to sit in the kitchen or in another room behind a closed door and slip another papyrus into the slot. It can be somehow different. Receive one file by email from an "unknown address" and read assignments from a tablet, for example. Or just give out all the papyri at once, the essence does not change.

Children solve puzzles, glue all the papyri into one long scroll, as the ancient Egyptians did, write the final word into the cells. The scroll must be left in the middle of the room, go outside the apartment for a minute.

All this ceremony is needed in order for my mother to change the papyrus for the treasure box of the Egyptian princess. Here I can not impose my opinion, put what you see fit. Chocolate coins or inexpensive jewelry.

Of course, everyone is pleased to receive some unusual talisman as a gift.

Bracelets, pendants, jewelry on the head.

Cute amulet pendants (in case the boys play too)

If all this is expensive, mix these "gems" with candy, it looks cool.

On each scroll, I placed not only a puzzle task, but also a fragment of the Egyptian horoscope (then those who wish can find the full text on the Internet). The Egyptians believed that the abilities of a newborn could be known by the date of his birth. This information has nothing to do with the quest, it will just be interesting for girls at this age to read. The headings of the scrolls are the names of the gods of Egypt.

After the quest, you can hold a culinary master class - making Egyptian sweets. These are candies made from dates with almonds, for example. Recipes are easy to find. Tasty and healthy!

Quest script

I made two versions of papyri. I wrote tasks on some, and left others blank just in case, so that you can enter your own puzzles if mine seem too difficult or rather primitive. At the same time, I kept pictures with the gods and the Egyptian horoscope in both versions.

If you select tasks yourself, do not make all 12 too difficult. The players' brains will boil. Let some questions be quite simple, in some papyri write requests to cut, fold, glue, etc. The main thing is to feel the movement forward.

All materials can be downloaded for free from my Yandex Disk (you must have a Yandex account for this).

I won’t write the tasks themselves here, you will read everything on papyri. I give only comments and answers.

1. Hapi (Nile)

Let's start with a simple task. It is necessary to assemble the frame of the "great structure". Players easily guess that this is a pyramid. From the word itself, you need to select two identical letters that will be needed at the end. Give 8 identical sticks (I suggest wooden skewers) and a piece of plasticine.

These are two letters A (pyramid A).

*The deity and short horoscope on each papyrus is just for entertainment purposes. It's interesting to learn something supernatural about yourself, isn't it?

2. Mut

Rock Crystal Shards are ice cubes that need to be prepared ahead of time. It is better to take boiled water, then the ice will be transparent. Place a bead, grape, flower, button, etc. in each cell before freezing. Only one will have a letter (it can be written on a piece of plastic with a permanent marker). “Retrieve the rock crystal at the moment when the girls are carried away by the previous papyrus and put it in a vase in the kitchen.

Players can put all the shards in a bowl and melt under the tap. Well, or invent your own way of extracting information from ice. There should be an I.

3. Osiris

The ancient Egyptians left many drawings, thanks to which we learn the details about the life of the dynasties. Players need to name a shape that, when drawn, looks the same from any angle.

It is, of course, a ball. We need the last letter of this word - R.

4. The one

Here's an exercise in mindfulness. You need to find a vase that is somehow different from the others. This is a vase H. There will be three such letters in the future word, the players must memorize or write it down.

I remind you. If the task does not seem too successful to you, pick up your puzzle and paste it on an empty papyrus with the name Thoth.

5. Geb

Taste the gifts of Egypt ... Here I propose to treat the children with dates. Put in a small bowl of sweets. If the players do not immediately eat, they must simply guess that the next letter is at the bottom of the dish. They can cautiously bite every date, but it's even fun.

This will be the letter D.

6. Gore

Another task for mindfulness. In ancient Egypt, papyri were rolled up and sealed with a seal. It was important to be able to read these seals in order to understand the essence of the text without unfolding the sheet. Children need to find a seal, the imprint of which is lost.

We just compare the figures in the picture, we understand that this is a seal under the letter H.

7. Set

The ancient Egyptians had conical vases in their houses with a hole in the bottom, from which water slowly dripped. From morning to evening and from evening to morning. What word do we call a modern device?

It is, of course, a watch. There is a clock in every house, under them you need to somehow hide another clue. This is the letter P.

8. Anubis

This strange text just needs to start reading. At first, the brain refuses to understand the essence, but by the end of the paragraph, you can easily read and understand the cipher. It is necessary to catch the pattern and read the word 8434. This is a vase. The new clue is in the vase. Just put a piece of paper with the letter Z written on it.

9. Isis

Beans are a popular product in Egypt. Pour in some white and some color. The main thing is that there should be 6 more whites. Let them count and find the letter of the alphabet with the serial number 6. This is the letter E.

Three of these letters are also needed.

10. Amon-Ra

All letters are already there, but the word is long, you need to suggest the first and last letters.

And here everything is not so simple. When you look at the stacked pieces, it doesn't seem that way, but the players will huff. Give a set of cardboard figures (I give the picture in the same folder). You must first fold the square and make out the letter P (dotted line). Then from the same figures we add a triangle. And we see a light gray letter E.

The first is P, the last is E. Oh, yes. This is again the base and face of the pyramid.

Not so long ago, I was looking for a job and in this regard, I described one of the quest party scenarios that I come up with. In my opinion, this is a good way to arrange an interesting holiday for children. Although for adults it can be a good alternative to sitting at the table. It turned out long, but in detail - according to these steps, you can prepare everything yourself. I share with you (I apologize for the appeal "to you" - that was the order).

If you want your party to be discussed by friends and acquaintances, and those who didn’t get to dream of you inviting them next time, turn on your imagination and arrange a real quest right at home! In addition to drinks and treats, invite guests to participate in a spectacular and exciting adventure.

Training:

For an Egyptian themed party, you will need to decorate the room with ancient Egypt related trappings. Prepare a playlist with tracks that alternate between playing ancient instruments and sounds of nature. Arrange candles to create an atmosphere of mystery. Stock up on incense. And now - the main details: take a few sheets of paper and schematically draw people and animals on them from sticks and circles - let them line up in a row in the manner of an ancient Egyptian bas-relief. Note that faces in this tradition are always shown in profile. All paintings must be monochromatic, without drawing details. But on one of them, depict some bright object that stands out from the general composition - for example, give one of the little men a delicious orange or put a red Santa Claus hat on the head of a buffalo. This picture should unobtrusively stand out. A message will be encrypted on its back, so when hanging your art around the room, make sure that it is in a prominent place. The second important detail in the design of the room is the pyramids. Glue a few paper pyramids together and place them in different places. There will also be a message on the inside of one of the tombs. You have to hang this pyramid on a string to a chandelier so that it seems to float in the air.

Well, it remains only to invite guests!

The game starts unexpectedly. Each guest from an unknown number receives an SMS with strange words. They have to guess what these words need to be put together in a sentence that will become the key to the next step. Depending on the number of participants, the phrase can be broken down in different ways. For example, if you have three guests, let the first of them receive a part: "the secret of Egypt awaits.", the second - "home garden", and the third - "Among the green." You can break the phrase into smaller fragments. It is important that there is a period at the end, and the first word in the sentence is capitalized. As you understand, for this you only need to persuade someone from your loved ones to take responsibility for sending out a message at your go-ahead. Do not forget to first give this person the phone numbers of your guests and better not trust this important mission to your beloved granny

At the first stage, you may have to silently push the guests to solve the puzzle. The phrase "Among the greenery of the home garden awaits the mystery of Egypt" should lead them to the idea that they need to inspect indoor plants. In one of the pots, put a bag with a message in advance. These will be figures cut out of cardboard, reminiscent of ancient Egyptian writing: a semicircle, a triangle, an ellipse, a fish, a bird, etc. Each of these figures must correspond to one letter. Number them in such a way that, adding these symbols in order of priority, you get the phrase: "The ice will melt and reveal the secret to the light." The participants in the game will not be able to read it yet - because they do not know the cipher, so also put a scroll with burnt edges and the inscription: “A fresh wind will bring fresh thoughts” into the bag.

When the guests guess to go to the window to open it and “let in a fresh breeze”, they will see that a sheet of paper is glued to the glass from the side of the street. On this sheet they will find an alphabet, and opposite each letter there will be a symbol resembling ancient Egyptian writing. This is the key to the previous clue. Now, by laying out the figures from the bag according to the numbers written on them, they will receive the following clue, which will lead them to think about looking for ice somewhere in your apartment.

Of course, in order to melt the ice that will “reveal a secret to the world”, you need to look into the freezer! In it, the players will already be waiting for a plastic cup with frozen water. And inside there will be a container from under Kinder Surprise. Stick a label on the glass in advance: "Three elements have revealed their secret, the fourth is waiting for its turn." If you want, for fidelity, you can draw earth, wind, fire and water.

The element of earth manifested itself in a pot with a flower, the wind entered through an open window, and water in the form of ice at that moment hides the next step. The element of fire will be needed in order to melt the ice and get to the container in the glass. Boil the glass in a saucepan until tender. Salt, pepper to taste J

Inside the container, guests will find a smaller version of one of the "Egyptian bas-relief" paintings. Yes, yes, the very one with a bright, inappropriate detail! Most likely, by that time, someone will already notice your efforts to decorate the room thematically and, perhaps, even tactfully remain silent without pointing to the “failed fresco”.

On the reverse side of the picture are the words: "The fifth element rests in the soaring tomb."

Having unfolded the pyramid, which is suspended on a thread from the chandelier, the guests will see another "bas-relief". This time, the same sketchy little men will be drawn in strange poses: someone is standing with their arms wide apart, someone is bent, forming a right angle, someone is lying down. And everyone holds hands, creating a single chain. There are as many of them as there are players with you. The first one holds a pyramid in his hand, from which a thread goes up, and the last one points forward with his finger. On the same sheet, mark the parts of the world. And under the little men, draw an arrow. In addition to the drawing, inside the pyramid there will be an inscription made using symbols from the “Russian-Egyptian” alphabet invented by you: “The soul of fire is to burn, the soul of water is to swim, the soul of air is to blow, the soul of earth is to give life, the soul of man is to unite.”

The script was written for an educational children's holiday.
There were three children (two girls and a boy) aged 5.5-6 years.

Room decoration

  1. Cardboard pyramid. Needed not so much for the script, but for the right mood
  2. Sphinx made of cardboard
  3. Figurines of Egyptians (carved from photographs of ancient papyri)
  4. Desert - a basin with sand or semolina
  5. African animals (toys)
  6. Treats: dried fruits (dates, figs), fruits, vegetables (cucumbers, peppers), nuts, pita bread, cheese, cookies, oriental sweets.

Introductory part

Find Egypt on the map, ask what the children know about it. It is better to talk about the past by showing events on the time line. First, indicate our time, then look how long ago Ancient Egypt appeared, when the Great Pyramids were built. Tell us about Nefertiti (about beauty, the details of her life are not a children's topic). Ask if the children would like to meet her.

Come up with a time travel ritual. Our children remember the magic words from different fairy tales, join hands, conjure: “Abracadabra, we want to be transported to Ancient Egypt, during the time of Queen Nefertiti.” A magical wind blows, and we find ourselves where we need to be.

In ancient Egypt, children dressed up in golden brocade collars and put on beads and bracelets (both men and women loved jewelry). After that, ask how to get to the queen, what needs to be done so that the guards let visitors into the palace. Perhaps someone will offer to bring gifts or get through a secret passage, or the children will be confused. Tell them about oracles and how they were used in ancient times to answer an important question. The oracle at the feast (a plastic canister with a hole pasted over with papier-mâché) contains the answer on how to get to the palace.

Of course, the answer is written in hieroglyphs. We had the key to them in this book. But you can set the correspondence between Russian letters and hieroglyphs yourself, by analogy with the English version.

Main part

The oracle's message reads "Collect the beads." The facilitator can explain to the children that now they need to complete the tasks of different characters who will meet on the journey and receive beads. Homemade beads, molded from clay, decorated with beads.

Bazaar. A merchant meets the children at the bazaar (hereinafter, all the characters are cardboard figures, printed out from here). He promises a bead if the children help him make silver medallions. One of the ways of making jewelry in Egypt is chasing. On a thick foil with chopsticks, you need to squeeze out the pattern.

desert I am. The merchant says that several beads are far away in the desert. Since you can’t go there on foot, we are looking for a camel. He must be politely asked to take the children and feed them with imaginary thorns. The camel is made of a toy camel, a blanket and pillows. Children sit on horseback and move, pushing off the floor with their feet. At the signal "sandstorm!" they should all hide under the covers together and freeze.

Arriving at the place, the children see a bowl of semolina. It contains figurines of the inhabitants of the desert and three beads are hidden. An additional difficulty is the sandworms that need to be driven away (I used the idea of this game).

Great Nile. Before you go to the river, tell us a little about what role it played in the Ancient Egyptian civilization, and that now it is one of the two longest rivers in the world. In the Nile (a bathroom with tinted water) a jar of beads floats. It is guarded by crocodiles (cut out of cardboard). Children throw coins at crocodiles until the predators go to the bottom (cardboard gets wet and sinks quickly, so do not throw crocodiles into the water in advance). After that, they take out a jar of beads.

Oasis. The host tells the children what an oasis is and promises to give a bead if they tell which tree the Egyptians considered the sacred tree of life growing here. As a hint, the facilitator asks questions, and the children add up the name of the tree from the first letters of the answers to them. Questions:

  1. Mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a man (Sphinx)
  2. Designations of words or letters among the ancient Egyptians (Hieroglyphs)
  3. The sacred animal that the Egyptians called "miu" (Cat)
  4. A place in the desert where there is a source of water and many plants (Oasis)
  5. "Inhabitant" of the pyramid (Mummy)
  6. An animal that carries people and goods. But not a camel. (Donkey)
  7. Egyptian sun god (Ra)

If the children do not know the answer to any of the questions, the leader prompts them (at our holiday, only the last question caused difficulties). He can also comment on other answers, adding some details. And you need to tell about the sycamore, show his photo.

Library. Children come to the scribe and he promises a bead in exchange for new scrolls of papyrus. Papyrus is easy to make out of paper (roll up, fasten and cut into a third to make leaves) and spread around the room so that the children collect it first. Then you need to cut off the root (tell that the roots are edible) and leaves, and cut the stem lengthwise. Get a few stripes. They are folded, as for real papyrus, with one layer along and the second layer across. The presenter says that papyrus has sticky juice and under pressure the parts are firmly connected. And at the holiday they can be lubricated with PVA. At the end of the holiday, children can write something on the resulting papyri.

fields. Children come to the peasants and they ask for help in making irrigation canals. There are two banks of clay in the tray, in the center there is a longitudinal depression with water, from which you need to dig channels with chopsticks.

Pyramid. The last few beads are in the pyramid. But the road to them is guarded by a sphinx that asks riddles. Riddle: “Why did the ancient Egyptians call their country Kemet (black earth)”. The children received all the necessary information (about how important the Nile was, how well everything ripened on the fields fertilized with its black silt) when they were digging channels. But they may need leading questions to answer the sphinx.

On the side of the pyramid there are recesses, some of which contain beads. In others, it was supposed to put something unpleasant to the touch. But we chose gummy worms, which the children were only delighted with.

The beads are collected. Now the children divide them among themselves, put them on a cord in turn and carry them to the palace. At the entrance they are met by a guard. He gives some task (for example, write his name in hieroglyphs) or is content with explaining to the children who they are and where they are going.
