Felt bookmark "dog". Do-it-yourself children’s bookmarks Bookmarks for books – Red and Chuck from “Angry Birds”

Oncology

No matter how fascinating the world of books is, it is not always possible to read a work “from cover to cover” in one sitting. A sudden phone call or the unexpected arrival of guests often forces you to stop reading at the most interesting point. In such cases, the most common ones come to the rescue bookmarks.

Perhaps someone will say that making bookmarks for books with your own hands is now unfashionable. Moreover, there are countless variations on the theme of cardboard bookmark-ruler on the market of modern printed products. But there is something subtly attractive in the perky face of a monkey or the long trunk of an elephant hanging from the page. Something reminiscent of home and mother’s hands that made this miracle. In addition, purchased bookmarks have the nasty ability to get lost at the most inopportune moment. Which, you see, is extremely unpleasant. Especially if this happened during a lesson, and the unlucky student has to leaf through the textbook for several minutes in search of the right page under the watchful gaze of a disgruntled teacher.

To prevent such embarrassment from happening to your child, we suggest doing DIY children's bookmarks. These little “creations” will not only reliably protect the desired page, but will also definitely cheer up their owner.

Felt bookmarks

Round bookmark Dog

This felt bookmark It will be “achievable” for anyone who knows how to wield scissors and a needle. To create it you will need felt or fleece in black, white and pink colors, pieces of red and blue felt, glue, cardboard, thread and some elastic.

Using the template, cut out three circles (from black, white felt and cardboard) and the rest of the details. Sew together the two pink parts of the muzzle using a blanket stitch and lightly stuff them. Sew the spot, glue the eyes and tongue to the white round piece, and sew the muzzle to it. Glue the entire white part to the cardboard circle. Between the black and white round parts, focusing on the drawing, place the ears and an elastic band and glue them. Sew the bookmark in a circle. If desired, you can bend and glue one or both ears. The felt dog bookmark is ready to decorate the cover, and inside there is an inconspicuous elastic band, which, nevertheless, reliably holds the pages in place.

Bookmarks Cat and Frog

I think one look at these two funny felt bookmarks enough to understand: they are made according to the same principle. You will need pieces of multi-colored felt, cardboard, a needle and thread, glue, a little holofiber for stuffing and eyes (half beads) for the cat.

The algorithm of actions is extremely simple.

  1. Cut out all the details from felt (or fleece) in the desired colors. If you want the finished bookmarks to bend less and retain their “sales appearance” longer, you can duplicate the body with cardboard or dublinin. In the latter case, bookmarks can even be washed.
  2. We design the head. To one part of the head we sew and lightly stuff (glue) the eyes, muzzle, nose, cheeks, embroider the mouth, mustache (you can draw it) and sew down the two parts of the head with a blanket stitch. Towards the end of sewing, we fill the head with holofiber.
  3. Sew the head to one of the parts of the body.
  4. We fold the parts of the body into a “sandwich”: felt, cardboard (dublin), felt and stitch it along the entire perimeter with a blanket stitch.

Fish Bookmark

Bookmark – Fleece fish

This bookmark is made using mixed applique and sewing techniques. All parts are cut out from fabric of the desired colors, and the main body part is also made from white cardboard. Actually, all other fabric parts are glued to it. Moreover, when connecting the parts of the “sandwich”, you must not forget about the ribbon or string to which the shells and the fish itself will be attached.

This cheerful dog will undoubtedly enliven the pages of even the most boring textbook. Making it will take no more effort than sewing bookmarks in the shape of a frog and a cat. And the principle of its creation is the same.

Well, for those who are attracted to such animal bookmarks, we offer templates with which you can sew a hippopotamus and Winnie the Pooh.

Happy crafting!

This dog will show off on the pages of your child’s favorite book and protect it if you make it yourself. The craft is simple to do. And the result is a cute dog corner bookmark made of paper, which can also be used as a useful accessory. A similar bookmark can be made during the summer holidays to prepare for the new school year. Since each student has several textbooks, the same number of dogs needs to be made, as well as spare characters, just in case, for example.

On a note! New Year 2018 will be celebrated under the sign of the yellow earthen dog, which means that such a dog corner bookmark can be a great idea for a New Year's gift for family and friends.

To model a dog-shaped corner bookmark, prepare:

  • a sheet of white office paper;
  • orange, red and black paper;
  • scissors and glue;
  • pencil and black felt-tip pen.

How to make a dog corner bookmark out of paper step by step

The proposed dog will be white, made from ordinary office paper. We will use orange for the ears, tail and spot on the face. You can also replace white with black, brown, and use some other shade instead of orange. We will make the puppy's tail as if he is wagging it. But in your work, be guided by the size of your books.

Cut a square from a white sheet. The largest possible size from an A4 format base will do. Focusing on the smaller side, bend the sheet, then cut off the excess part. You will be left with a triangle folded in half, which is needed for further work on modeling the corner.

To make a part in the form of a pocket, you need to combine all three corners in the prepared triangle. First join one acute angle to a right angle, then the second. Iron all the folds so that they stand out well.

Move the sharp corners in the triangle into place. And also bend the upper straight corner towards you. Iron the fold in a straight line, first placing one sharp corner under it.

Then bend the second sharp corner into the pocket symmetrically. The corner, which is the basis of the bookmark, is ready.

Now you need to outline on paper and cut out additional details that will allow you to turn the resulting paper blank into a small dog. We will need: a red oblong tongue, two long orange ears, an oval cutout for a spot on the face, black details for the eyes and nose.

Carefully cut the corner itself to highlight two tubercles - the relief of the dog’s nose. Insert the red tongue into the resulting cutout, having previously coated the paper with glue. Glue a black triangular nose a little higher. Under the nose, draw several dots of black color.

Glue an orange spot and black pupils into the central part of the triangular pocket. Decorative eyes or buttons are also suitable. It is also convenient to draw the pupils with a black felt-tip pen.

Glue the ears to the sides (to the side corners of the bookmark). You can first round these corners with scissors. Add a small orange ponytail at the back.

The little puppy is ready. And now there will be a reason to read a new book with your child. It is convenient to attach a paper bookmark to pages. Put the pocket on and place the book on the shelf.

When closed, we will only see the tongue and ears.

Children love to make various paper crafts. Especially those that they can use in everyday life. So today we will make a simple corner bookmark for a book. And since the coming year will pass under the sign of dogs, we will make a bookmark in the shape of a dog.

For this bookmark we will need:

  • colored paper;
  • colour pencils;
  • scissors;
  • glue.

Cut out a square from a sheet of paper of the main color (in this case blue). The larger the square, the larger the bookmark. Fold the square into a triangle. Iron out the fold.

It is important that the corners lie flat. Otherwise, the bookmark will turn out uneven and not neat.

Now we lift the right corner and bend it to the top of the triangle.

We do the same with the left corner. We get a rhombus with equal sides.

Iron the folds thoroughly and open the triangle back.

In the middle we have a double diamond. We bend one part of it down, forming a triangle. We bend it so that the corner touches the bottom side exactly in the center. It is important that the corner does not go beyond the main part.

Raise the bottom corners again, forming a diamond. Now we lower the upper right corner down, forming 2 triangles.

We do the same on the left side.

Now we straighten the corners by lifting them back. We made a fold.

Now we will form the dog's face. Let's make a tongue. Cut it out of pink paper. Let's glue it. You can draw a vertical stripe with a pink pencil or felt-tip pen.

Now let's make the eyes. From white paper, cut out 2 identical ovals, then cut off one end of the oval in a straight line, forming an arch. From green paper we cut out 2 similar parts, but smaller in size.

And from black paper we cut out 2 of the same parts as the green ones, but even smaller. We cut them in half vertically. Now we glue green parts onto the white parts, and black ones onto the green parts.

Bend the tips of the ears towards you.
