Crochet hello kitty. Hello Kitty using the Amigurumi technique: a knitting pattern for the toy itself and an outfit for it. How to crochet Kitty: diagram

Mammalogy

I decided to knit a toy using the Amigurumi technique for my daughter, she had been asking me for a Hello Kitty doll for a long time. But I ran into a problem: the schemes on the Internet are all the same, but for some reason even for me, as I am no longer a beginner, they are too confusing. Without a sensible description, it was hard to knit a toy, although after I connected a couple of details, I already understood the essence. So I decided to describe the process in more detail, so that even not very experienced mothers could please their children with their favorite toy.

Head

It is easiest to start knitting from the head, since its pattern is an example for all other details.

Knitting pattern for this Amigurumi toys

We will start with a set of 10 air loops, from which we will continue knitting.

V. p. - 2 tbsp. b. n. in one loop - 8 tbsp. b n. - 3 times 2 tbsp. b n. in one loop - again 8 tbsp. b n. - 2 times 2 tbsp. b n. in one loop - close the row with a connecting loop.

We add up to 8 rows, then according to the scheme up to 15 rows we knit without additions.

Ears

We knit ears. We will start them and all the other details by crocheting such an amigurumi ring: we wrap the thread on the finger 2 times and knit 6 loops.

Then we pull the extreme thread and get a ring of loops without a hole inside.

We knit 2 ears according to the scheme.

Tail

The tail is also easy to knit. First, we close the amigurumi ring, then the second row we knit everything in 2 tbsp. without a crochet. And 3 more rows without decreases and additions.

hind legs

We knit the back legs, they are legs. According to the scheme, up to 6 rows we knit with pink yarn, then white. We knit 4 and 6 rows not for a pigtail, but for the column itself.

Thus, you get a pattern on the paws. Both left and right are exactly the same.

torso

Let's get to the body. We knit it according to the scheme up to 10 rows with a white thread, and then change it to pink.

First, the torso itself is knitted, and then we will tie the skirt.

The skirt is tied to the 12th row of the body, that is, to the second pink row. Knitting is touched by the posts. We knit a skirt with yarn according to the scheme Pink colour. Then, if desired, it will be possible to finish the frill in white.

We knit the front paws, that is, the handles of our Hello Kitty like this. We knit up to 10 rows according to the scheme, leave a little thread for the end of the foot (about 50 cm) and cut it off. To the 2 pink row we tie 2 rows of sleeve frills according to the scheme.

Then fill the pen with a pencil. Stuff tightly, not sparing the filler.

Then you can knit the remaining rows.

Now we have all the parts of the Hello Kitty doll ready.

Assembling the toy

We fill everything in order. Head first.

How you stuff it also determines its shape, so try to make it as similar to Hello Kitty as possible. To do this, fill more of the side than in length.

Then sew on the ears that do not need to be stuffed.

See that they are on the same level, for this, first attach them and mark the places where to sew.

We fill the body and sew it with the head.

We also sew on the stuffed legs (hind legs), bringing the needle for the tail through the body.

Then thread the thread again and stick the torso and the second foot onto it. Do this several times.

It is better to bring the thread down under the dress, secure with a knot and hide with a hook.

The toy is ready (the process is in the article) and, of course, this is not the original Hello Kitty cat from the store for a considerable amount, but its close relative :)

Finally, I finished my work. It was not so much difficult as painstaking. My second experience in making soft toys Amigurumi and will New Year's gift for niece. I put it a little unevenly and it turned out like waving into the frame :)

What is Amigurumi I told in the article Handmade crocheted bunny. Art of Amigurumi. In the same I will tell you how to crochet a stylized Hello Kitty amigurumi cat. With your own hands, according to the scheme with a description. What is important, everything is in Russian and in Russian.

The main materials I used:
- threads white slightly woolly in structure, smoother yellow, pink 50gr/250m acrylic

Red and bright green 50gr/275m acrylic for flower and leaves behind the ear
- white threads with a little sheen unmarked skein on a large cardboard bobbin
- cotton threads red, yellow-orange, pale pink "Iris" produced by "Kt im. S.M. Kirov" skeins of 25g, length not specified
- synthetic winterizer for stuffing

Hooks for knitting sizes 2 and 3, as well as thinner ones, I sometimes used to pull threads in knots
- black thread for a mustache, preferably with a sheen, and a thick long needle (we call this a gypsy)

Pieces of black leather to cut out the eyes and, if available, a piece of yellow felt for the nose (I knitted it, there was no felt)
- depending on the size, ordinary coins (I have 2 to 5 rubles) and stuff stones into the legs so that it stands

I wanted to make the kitten bigger, but I didn’t have thick threads, so I took a thread in 3 additions. In order not to sculpt any embellishment on top (the toy is dense and compact), I made a kind of melange of threads different colors. Initially, I had them slightly different in thickness, but in total I got approximately equal working threads. I think it’s only important to observe the thickness of the threads in order to get commensurate details, and the colors are what you like :)

The schemes were taken and corrected by me (adapted for the Russian language) from some Japanese magazine, the scan of which was found by Yandex without identification marks.

Knitting will take place in a circle, without tearing off the thread until further notice. Abbreviations will be used for abbreviation:
VP - air loop(in the diagram, a white circle or more often an oval)
RLS - single crochet(on the diagram, a cross or a plus sign)
SS - connecting post(on the diagram, a black dot is usually knitted into the lifting loop from which the row began)
+ or - addition or subtraction in the diagram, this is RLS with a bird / house outside. Those. x and /\ on the diagram, and the table will indicate how many such elements are in the row in brackets. If the addition of the RLS is knitted in one regular position, two pieces, if the decrease, one RLS is knitted in 2 positions.
Maybe I'm overthinking it, but maybe it will help someone :)

Let's actually start knitting, we start our Kitty from the head. This is perhaps the largest part of it. I always follow the diagrams, so there will be a minimum of written explanations, and I post the diagrams in good quality.

For the white parts, I took 3 white threads (2 "woolly" and 1 on a large bobbin with glitter).

Head

In the diagram, it is decomposed into 2 halves for ease of review, in fact, you get a one-piece blank for the head. The points of contact of the halves are shown by dashed lines.

First we knit
10 air loops(horizontal line of ovals in the diagram)
1 air loop is added and we consider it as a rise (to bring the thread to the level of the next element)
These VPs count as row zero, the next rows on the table (don't lose the lift VP and CC).
The first row of 22 RLS is formed by tying our chain of air loops in a circle, resembling a pigtail, and in the first and last loop chains need to be knitted not 1 sc, but three.
The next rows are also further in the circle, starting the row with the VP and ending with the SS in this VP.
Always carefully count how many RLS you get in each row so that the intended shape is preserved.

At the finished part of the head, we tear off the thread more authentically, because. we need it to sew the head to the body.
We fill the part with synthetic winterizer tightly, while trying to give correct form head, slightly oval, similar to the original Hello Kitty.

I got this one taken from https://www.site

Ears (2 parts)

The next step I knitted the ears. They start with an amigurumi ring. To create it, we wrap a thread around the index finger and knit 1 VP of lifting 6 RLS into the resulting ring (this will be the first row). The free end of the thread will remain, if everything is done correctly, pull on it and the loop with 6 RLS will be tightened into a tight ring without a hole (do not lose at the end of the SS).

At the end of the 6th last row, we tear off the thread more authentically, we will sew the eyelet on it. You need 2 of these ears.

You don't need to hit them. My ears for Kitty turned out like this

We continue to work also with a white thread, but now there is 1 detail, perhaps the smallest and funniest.

Tail

The tail is a detail similar to a thimble. It starts similarly to the ears with an amigurumi ring (1st row).

At the end of the row, leave a long thread for further sewing. Stuff with padding polyester and set aside.

The result is a small ponytail for a not-quite-small cat.

Handles or paws (2 parts)

We start with white threads. Amigurumi ring with 6 sc (1st row) and then from the 2nd to the 6th row according to the scheme. We start the 6th row with a colored thread. I took 2 strands of pink acrylic and 1 red cotton iris.
On the last 13th row we should have a small hole to stuff the handle, but if you knit a small Kitty, it will be too small. In this case, we slow down the work after the 11th row and leave a thread of sufficient length to knit 2 more rows and leave a long tip for sewing to the body (you can leave the thread not yet torn off).

Ruffle/Sleeve

I took 2 yellow acrylic and 1 yellow-orange cotton thread.
We tie the frill to the 7th row of our handle. Let me remind you the 7th row is the second color row (in my case, pink-red). The SBP icon with a hook on the diagram means that this RLS is knitted into the base of the RLS of another part (handle / foot).

Some interesting ideas I got it from Larisa's blog. For example, in an article about the Hello Kitty bead (https://rosetka.blogspot.com/2009/09/hello-kitty-businka.html), Larisa suggested tying the frill additionally using the "crustacean step" method, I followed her advice, it turned out very nice .

So, to the last yellow row from RLS, we add a stride step. Master class on this issue.

We tear off, fix and hide the yellow thread. We return to the main part of the handle. We fill it with synthetic winterizer (it is convenient to do this, for example, with the blunt side of a hook or needle) and knit the 12th and 13th row, if we have not done this before, we tear off the thread with a long tip. You can immediately sew a hole in the tips of the handles with a couple of stitches (shoulder area, so to speak) so that the synthetic winterizer does not fall out.

Finished pens for a cat upside down are very reminiscent of ice cream :)

Torso (body with skirt)

You can take a break from small details on the body, which rivals the size of the head.

We also start with white threads from the amigurumi ring (it is also the 1st row of 6 RLS) and then, according to the scheme with the addition in the indicated places, we knit 10 rows.
The 11th row is already moving to colored threads (I have pink-red ones), and we tear off the white one with a traditional long tip. At the end, we cut off the colored thread. taken from https://www.site

skirt

The skirt is colored (pink-red for me) is tied to the 12th row of the body, this is the second color row. The method of tying is similar as frills for sleeves, for the columns of the 12th row of the body themselves and then, according to our own pattern, we continue circular knitting. I made the last two rows of the skirt in yellow-orange (like a frill of the sleeves) and also added another row using the stride step method.

We tear off all the threads, immediately fix and hide all the threads from the skirt. We fill the resulting part with synthetic winterizer. Torso ready taken from https://www.site

Legs / paws (2 parts)

For the colored part, from which the knitting of the legs begins, I took yellow, pink acrylic and red cotton thread (Iris).

The RLS underlined in the diagram (4th and 6th rows) mean that they need to be knitted at the base of the columns of the previous row (behind the columns themselves, from the wrong side), and not into a traditional pigtail. Thus, the pigtail should remain on the outside, helping the boot/shoe to keep the shape of the sole and transition to the leg itself, giving more believability.

From the 7th row, we return to the usual white thread (as used for the head), and cut off the colored thread, fasten it and hide it inside the legs. We tear off the white thread after the 9th row and leave long end for sewing.

It turns out two such shod legs

We put a coin at the bottom of the leg and lay it on top with pebbles wrapped in a padding polyester.

Sewing the head and arms to the body

I sewed the head with a white thread from the head, catching the top colored row by the pigtail.

Threads colored by hand were stretched through the body with a needle (for better fastening) in such a way that the thread of the right foot went to sew on the left and vice versa from the left foot went to the right.

Eyes

Roses (3 pieces, 2 medium and 1 large)

Bright green leaves, 2 parts

The process of making the elements of this bouquet is described in the article Flowers and leaves for Hello Kitty or decorating other items.

For a long time I thought about how to fix the flowers and leaves and decided that it would be easier to first tie them together by the ends of the threads. So the order of their location and the distance between them was preserved. taken from https://www.site

spout you can sew from yellow felt or tie an oval with yellow threads. For example, like this:
1 row - amigurumi ring with 6 sc
2 row - 10 RLS, of which three in one RLS of the last row (3rd and 6th of the first row).
In general, the element is small and you can experiment, even embroider :)

Collar I made Iris from light pink cotton threads, instead of it you could hang a ribbon, bow or beads.

For the collar, I picked up a chain of air loops of such a length that it was enough exactly for the girth of the cat's neck with a little tension. Then she knitted a series of single crochets and connected the ends of the resulting rope around her neck. Lightly fixed on the shoulders and hid the ends of the threads inside the toy.

The flowers prepared earlier were fixed near the ear.

Here in such a company, the ready-made Kitty was waiting for her mistress, until she was put in gift wrapping and under the tree.

The gift was accepted with joyful interest, demonstrated to everyone present to everyone's surprise and was accompanied by praises addressed to me :)

In the process of playing and pampering, it was measured by the new mistress. The growth of the toy was approximately 17 centimeters. taken from https://www.site

Reader's work:

From Viper, the toy came out with a sprout of 30 centimeters! A playful and very attractive little animal with a red bow.

And such a charming young lady in flowers was sent by Lesenok (Lesya). The kitty was made from threads of white Hawaii, 55% cotton / 45% acrylic and cotton red Rose from Vita. It turned out a little smaller, about 13-14 centimeters.

Olesya sent me Kitty in a bright pink dress, I can’t even believe that this is the first experience, great work! According to the author of the thread, Iris was used in the work, and the hook 1.25, in finished form 11 centimeters.

Natalia from Nikolaev showed a smart kitty, which she tied as a gift to a little girl. White parts - yarn art violet plus kid mohair, colored parts - himalaya yakamoz 100% wool, finishing - grass. The whole product is crocheted No. 3. Height is 17 cm. Decoration with purchased flowers from ribbons. The eyes and nose are embroidered with acrylic for embroidery.

For some reason I want to call it New Year's :)

Varvara shows Kitty in a delicate pink dress, about 25-30 centimeters tall. The poor cat was captured kindergarten:) Crocheted from Egyptian cotton №3.

A beauty performed by Olga Erdnieva is also invited to Kitty's family. A classic puffy dress and a big matching bow, I just want to send her to the ball :) Crocheted from acrylic yarn No. 2.

Anna showed another cat. The magical look of the green-eyed beauty is simply mesmerizing :)

Natalya, thanks for the MK, I’m knitting my first kitty. But for some reason I got an incredibly huge head))) ... and if you knit the third row in the lower paws, then the sole of the paw is not flat, but convex. I bandaged it, ignored the third row , instead of it, I tied an extra white one. And I will bandage my head.

Hello Irina. I can't comment on your work, because didn't see her. As you can see, my foot is practically flat, and my head is suitable, and I drew diagrams at the same time as I was working. Probably it all depends on the individual density of knitting or possible errors in reading. However, the final shape also largely depends on the stuffing, because. with excessive zeal, you can stretch and deform anything.

Hello. Glad you liked it!

Please also report any bugs you see!

Only letters and numbers are allowed!
All fields are required!

So, let's start... with the head of Hello Kitty. We knit it, starting from the crown, according to the scheme, in a circle. We start each circular row with VP ( air loop) lift and finish with SS (connecting column). A chain of air loops is the 0th row, we do not count it. The 1st row is the first row of RLS (single crochet).

The finished, unfilled part of the head looks like this. Do not be confused by some unevenness of this part - we made increments in a spiral, when we fill it, it will take the correct shape of Hello Kitty's head.

All other details, with the exception of the legs, we knit, starting with the amigurumi ring. We wrap the thread around the index finger twice, remove the resulting ring from the finger and knit the first 6 RLS into it.

Then we pull the short end of the thread and tighten the RLS into a tight ring. Thanks to this method of starting knitting, we will not have a hole.

We knit ears and a tail, starting from this ring according to the scheme.

We begin to knit the legs from the sole with a red thread. 4th row we knit RLS, inserting the hook not into the pigtail of the previous row, but behind the RLS itself, introducing the hook from the wrong side. Thus, the pigtail, in which we did not knit, will be outside, helping the shoe to take shape.

We knit the 5th row in the usual way, and the 6th - in the same way as the 4th.
Starting from the 7th row, knit with a thread white color last three rows. These are the details of the legs should turn out.

We start knitting pens with 6 sc in an amigurumi ring with a white thread. In the 6th row, we introduce a red thread and continue to knit according to the pattern until the 12th row. Here we leave the knitting unfinished and proceed to tying the frill of the sleeve. We tie this part to the 7th row of the handle part (second row with a red thread). The number of RLS of the first row should be 15. The same as in the 7th row of the handle detail. To do this, we bend the part so that the 7th row becomes the fold line.

After the sleeve frill detail is finished, we fill the detail with padding polyester. This is where a regular pencil can come in handy.
When the part is filled, we finish it with the last two rows according to the scheme.

Then we start knitting the body. With a white thread we knit 10 rows of RLS according to the scheme, we make increases. In the 11th row we introduce a red thread. It is more convenient to immediately make a VP on a thread of a new color and enter it with a connecting column at the very end of the 10th row.

We continue knitting in a circle with a red thread, making decreases according to the pattern. You should get something like this.

Now let's start knitting a skirt. It's important here! We tie the skirt to the 12th row (this is the second red row), it is in this row that the number of RLS is 42. To do this, we bend the body part so that the 12th row becomes the fold line. We begin to tie the skirt detail to this row.

We continue knitting in a circle, making uniform increases according to the scheme.

So, we have all the details ready. Let's start filling and stitching.

Let's start again with the head. Filling it, we shape it with our hands, slightly flattening and crushing from above so that it takes the shape of a Hello Kitty's head, and not a ball.

Now sew on the ears. We do not fill the ears. We try to place them so that at this stage the shape of the head of Hello Kitty is already guessed. The crown can serve as a guide here - the beginning of knitting the head. Ears begin to grow right along the edges of it.

Then we fill the body and sew the head to it. We fill the legs and sew them from below to the body. Now that the legs are sewn, it will be easy for us to center the tail and put it in its rightful place.

The handles can simply be sewn tightly to the sides, or you can sew them with a hinge - so that they move, spin ...
We start by taking double thread in tone and tie a knot at the tip. We thread the thread through the handles so that the knot is on the side that will be adjacent to the body.
Now we thread the thread back, we thread it through the body.

We pass the second handle with the same thread, continuing the maneuver. We, as it were, string our details on the thread - handle + torso + handle.

And now we thread the thread back through all three parts. We repeat this procedure a couple more times, slightly pulling the parts together. We bring the thread under the skirt, where we cut the thread from the needle, tie a knot and use the hook to hide the knot inside.

Let's start finishing the muzzle. For the spout, I took hook No. 1, floss threads yellow color in two additions and connected it as follows:
0th row: 3VP + 1VP lifting, then we knit in a circle.
1st row: in the first two VPs in 1СБН, in the third VP - 3СБН, in the next two VPs in 1СБН, in the third VP - 2СБН, we finish the series of SS.
2nd row: lifting VP, 2СБН in the first loop, in the next loop - 1СБН, in the next three loops in 2СБН, then 1СБН and in the last two loops in 2СБН, we finish the series of SS.
Sew the nose to the muzzle.

It’s just that the sewn nose is a bit like a stigma ... because of its relief or something ... therefore, I propose to put smooth stitches on top of it. If you want it not to be voluminous, you can embroider quite a bit. I like it more voluminous, so I make more stitches. At the end of embroidery, I skip stitches not under the spout, but only on top of it, making small stitches on the sides. Thus, the edges become smoother.

The eyes are knitted in the same way as the nose. I used a thin woolen thread, so I didn’t embroider on top with satin stitch ... and the eyes don’t need extra volume.
Advice. In order to correctly position the eyes and nose, you can first schematically sketch their location on paper and, when you are satisfied with the final version, i.e. you will see that Hello Kitty is looking at you, you can sew eyes and a nose, correlating their location with the pattern.
After that, we embroider antennae with wide stitches. One mustache - one stitch.
We decorate the dress and head of Hello Kitty with roses.

Master class from Larisa (Rosettes).
This is a "translation" of the schematics with some explanations. Because You can’t do detailed explanations on one piece of paper, but there are enough details here - it was decided to make a small master class on how to knit and assemble Hello Kitty.

So, let's start... with the head of Hello Kitty. We knit it, starting from the crown, according to the scheme, in a circle. We start each circular row with an VP (air loop) lift and end with a SS (connecting column). A chain of air loops is the 0th row, we do not count it.

We start by taking a double thread to match and tying a knot at the tip.

Eyes and a nose, of course, can be cut and glued or sewn from felt, but I didn’t find this. Therefore, for the spout, I took hook No. 1, yellow floss threads in two additions and knitted it as follows:

We decorate the dress, shoes and head of Hello Kitty with roses.
We need roses of medium and small size.

I suggest not to dwell on the decoration with roses
The dress can be knitted in a different color and with a completely different finish. In general, there is plenty of space for your imagination to fly. My Hello Kitty, for example, has such a girlfriend.

Every time, parents pay attention to the fact that their child plays with toys made from natural materials, such as knitted Kitty, for example. This product is safe for baby skin.

You can make a toy yourself, this is also possible and acceptable in cases where you have enough time to do your favorite thing - knitting.

Each kid has a favorite cartoon and a favorite character, which he will be just happy to receive. Make a Kitty toy yourself or with the help of your child, it will become a fascinating sacrament for him. If you do not know how to make this toy, try to do it according to the scheme described below.

How to crochet Kitty: diagram

It's better to start from the head. First, cast on a strip of air loops, then knit in a circle. After knitting the second row, we begin to add loops along the edges (from the narrow side). You should get an oval.

After receiving right size heads, knit 2 rows with the same number of loops. After that, start decreasing, just do not need to decrease too sharply, reduce one on each side.

Leave a hole in order to fill the head with filler. Before this, remove the loops on the thread. After stuffing is completed, pull the loops with a thread and tie them.

We knit legs, handles, ears according to this principle. Wind the thread around your finger, then remove. You will get a ring, then knit 6 single crochet in a circle. Then we take the free end of the thread and tighten it. Thus, we get a circle, only without a hole in the middle.

Knit, following the shape of the arms and legs. At the end, also remove the loops on the thread, stuff the parts and tighten. Do not forget that the legs need to be marked with colors. Those. at the bottom you need to make a colored area. This is the basis of Kitty's knitting pattern.

You need to start knitting the torso with a light thread, then add a red one so that the area in the form of a T-shirt is highlighted with color. From below, you also need to knit a light thread. After finishing, the colored section of the torso must be continued in the form of a skirt, attaching in the place where the two colors join from below.

Attach the parts to the body in the right places.

We have an undecorated head. Take black threads and embroider the mustache stripes characteristic of Kitty. Eyes can also be embroidered with threads, drawn or replaced with buttons. Don't forget the nose too.

How to tie a bow? Take a thread of the color of the dress, knit a strip of air loops, fold in the shape of a bow and secure with a thread of the same color.

You have made a wonderful toy for your child, with which he will play with great pleasure.
