What we need to create it:

First of all, we cut the newsprint into pieces no more than 2 and a half centimeters wide and 20 to 30 centimeters long.

I made a base for the bottom out of white cardboard so that it would not be transparent. A little later you will need to glue it, but for now we attach newspaper tubes to the plastic bottom by sewing them onto it.

Better, as it turned out, not simple threads are suitable for such work, but cotton floss threads (soft). As it turned out, the coarse threads begin to loosen by themselves.

Now i take upper part plastic cake lid and attach the sticks to it with tape, then bend their ends over the top so that you get a flat surface. Then I tape the ends of these rods to the plastic box.

Next, we begin to braid the basket in a clockwise direction. We fix the first tube with its thin end to the bottom (glue it), and when it ends, we add another tube to its wide hole, and so we continue weaving, introducing more and more new ones.

Next, I decided to braid with flattened twigs, but it is also important for me to constantly know in which section the weaving begins, and especially here the multi-colored coloring of the floss threads helps (I started weaving the basket from the section in which a row of tubes sewn with white thread ends, and a series of tubes begins sewn with blue-green thread).

Having completed the weaving completely, we simply glue the last tip of the twig, and bend the protruding twigs downward, in turn, inward or outward, depending on which side the protruding twig is on in relation to the last vine that wraps around it. And then the ends should be drawn through the plexus from below.

We attach a handle made of newspaper rods to the basket, and then we strengthen it at the base (so that it does not fall), pasting it with paper in a circle in those places where the handle is too thin and bends.
