Eyes (2 pcs.)
Using white yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook, knit 3 ch and connect st. In 1st ch, make a ring.
Tie 1 VP and 6 PRS in a ring, conn. in the 1st ssn and fasten the thread. Sew a small black bead into the center of each eye.

Wings (2 pcs.)
Using black yarn, knit 2vp, 1ssn in the 1st VP. To turn.
Row 2 - 1vp, 3ssn in the next. ssn. (3ssn).

Crochet warmer for the Snowman mug.
An ordinary mug can be decorated with a knitted heating pad. Such decoration will even be beneficial. Knitted heating pad will warm the hands that are holding the hot mug and also protect the hands from overheating.
To make a heating pad, you will need materials:
1. Threads of dark blue color (warmer base).
2.Threads white(edging and decoration).
3.Threads yellow color(Snowman's nose).
4. Two-color threads (forelock and strings).
5.Sewing threads in white and black.
6. Hooks 1 and 2.5 mm thick.
7.Scissors.

The process of making a heating pad for a mug.
1. The first step is to measure the mug. I propose to knit a heating pad with dimensions of 25.5 cm * 9 cm. You need to make a chain with a 2.5 cm crochet. It will consist of air loops (VP) 25.5 cm long.

2. We start with a set of double crochets (CCHs) along the entire length of the chain.

3. In this way, we knit the fabric until the desired height is obtained.

4. The heating pad should not go over the handle of the mug.

5. In order for the heating pad to have a beautiful outline, it is necessary to tie the edge with white thread. To do this, we tie the thread in the corner of the main blue canvas.

6. We tie the contour of the heating pad with single crochet columns (RLS). Cut the thread and secure it.

7.The base of the heating pad is ready. Let's start making jewelry. The main element is the Snowman. It will consist of two circles. We begin to knit a large circle. To do this, we collect 4 VPs on a 1 mm thick hook.

8.Using a connecting loop (SP), it is necessary to connect the chain from the VP into a ring.

9. Then we type 3 VP.

10. We make a set of 21 CCHs in a circle. We connect the last column to the beginning of the row.

11.We type a chain consisting of 3 VPs.

12. Then we make a CCH, capturing under the same loop from which the VP of this row is recruited.

13. Next, you need to dial 2 CCHs from each VP of the previous row. At the end, we connect the row.

14. We tie the last row of the large circle with the help of RLS.

15. The second circle is knitted in a smaller size. The knitting technique is similar to knitting a large circle.

16. Sew the circles to the heating pad.

17. With black threads we make the Snowman's eyes and mouth. We knit a nose with a yellow thread. From two-color threads we make a forelock for the Snowman. We knit snowflakes around the Snowman.

18. We get a beautiful winter composition.

19.In order for the heating pad to be attached to the mug, it is necessary to make ties. To do this, take 4 threads of the same size.

20. Fold the thread in half and pull the loop into the corner of the heating pad on the wrong side.

21.2 pull the free ends into the loop.

After studying the diagram and illustrated master class, you will learn how to knit a cover on a mug with knitting needles with your own hands in one evening.

The knitted case not only looks beautiful, but also serves a practical function - it protects your hands from a hot cup and keeps the drink warm. Such a universal case will come in handy both at home and at work. It can be presented to a man for New Year, February 23 or another holiday. The yarn consumption is low, the technique is simple and suitable for beginners. Use different colours so that everyone would receive an original surprise.

Knitting materials and tools

To knit a cover for a mug, prepare a set, which includes:

  • a cylindrical mug, preferably without a pattern or with a print that can be hidden under a case;
  • knitting needles number 3;
  • hook number 2.5-3 (this tool is optional);
  • acrylic or blended yarn - choose strict colors for a guy, and brighter colors for women;
  • centimeter (ruler);
  • a small-diameter button is more strict for a man, romantic for a girl;
  • needle and thread.

Step-by-step technique of work

The dimensions of the knitted cover for a standard teacup are 6 * 24cm... The knitting density is 2 loops per 1 cm. If your knitting density differs from the indicated one, recalculate the number of loops to be dialed. The presented model has a transverse pattern. That is, the pattern is not located bottom-up in relation to the circle, but horizontally oriented.

Pattern loops covers are distributed as follows:

  • 1 edging,
  • 3 garter stitch(in the front and back rows, all loops are knitted only with the front ones),
  • 6 for a braid with crossing to the right (three are left before knitting, three are knitted from the knitting needles, then the first three are put on a knitting needle and knitted),
  • 3 loops with a scarf pattern,
  • 1 edging.

Knit braids in front rows- facial, from the inside - purl.

Choose the right mug. Measure its height with a centimeter or ruler. Keep in mind that it is better to make the case in such a size that it did not reach the top a bit(by 1-1.5 cm), otherwise it will be inconvenient to drink from the dishes. In this workshop, the optimal size was chosen - about 6 cm. 2. Cast on 14 stitches on the needles.

Knit the first row with front loops.

Then continue to knit according to the above pattern. At the edges you should have a ribbed pattern, in the center - the front surface.

In every seventh row, cross the center six to form a braid.

Knit like this 24 cm. Wrap the knitting around the mug and make sure that the edges come right up to the handle. Do not close the hinges yet - you need to knit the fastener.

Bind off 4 sts on the right side and continue as usual.

Turning over knitted cover on the other side, close 4 more loops on the seamy side.

Keep middle 6 stitches with knit stitches.

After knitting about 1.5 cm in the middle of the row, make a yarn over, and knit the last 2 loops together. This will create a small buttonhole. The clasp makes it easier to use the case for its intended purpose and serves as an additional decoration.

Then continue knitting 1-1.5 cm. Then close the loops.

Cut the threads that remain at the beginning and end of knitting to a length of about 4-5 cm. Then mask them by pulling the crochet into the outer loops.

Sew a button on the edge opposite to the fastener, stepping back 1.5-2 cm.

Wrap the mug with a knitted cover, fasten with a button.

For a gift to a loved one, you can buy a simple cup, knit a beautiful case and give everything together ready-made. If you want to please a colleague, take measurements discreetly when he leaves the workplace and leaves the dishes on the table.

The instructions on how to knit a cover for a mug for a man with your own hands were prepared by Zhanna Galaktionova. Check out others to find something to do for tomorrow.

Interesting but at the same time useful gift for the upcoming holidays it is very simple and quick to do it yourself.
To do this, you need to be at least a beginner crochet, and our master class will help you with this.

Necessary materials:

  • knitting yarn, any, suitable in thickness for hook No. 3
  • crochet hook No. 3
  • (optional)
  • sewing thread in the color of the yarn and the needle

Progress

Cast on a chain of air loops with pink yarn. The length of the chain must match the circumference of the bottom of the circle.

Close the chain in a circle with a connecting loop and, having made two air lifting loops, knit two rows in a circle with half double crochets.

Knit the third, like all subsequent rows in the same way, with half-crochets. The third row does not need to be closed.

If the mug on which you need to tie the heating pad is even, then you do not need to add columns. And if the circle at the top expands, then in each row, starting from the fifth, add two loops - one at the beginning and one at the end, i.e. in the first loop of the row, knit two columns and in the last also two columns. In this way, knit as many rows so that the height of the heating pad reaches the top of the mug handle.

Try on a heating pad on a mug and knit two or three air loops close the row. Hide all the tails.

The base of the heating pad is ready.
In order to tie the ears for the pig, cast on a chain of seven air loops. Then, without making a lifting loop, knit the first row with single crochets.

In the next row, as in all the others, also do not make lifting loops. Single crochet stitches by inserting a crochet hook between the stitches of the previous row. Skip the first stitch in the row - this way you will decrease the number of stitches in the row.

Knit the next five rows in the same way as the previous ones, decreasing in each row along the loop and without knitting the lifting loop.

You need to tie two such ears.

For the piglet's patch, tie a circle of 15-16 double crochets in a circle.

Prepare everything to assemble the heating pad. To do this, warm up the thermal gun, sew or glue the ears, patch and eyes. At the patch, make two dashes-nostrils with white thread. So a heating pad for a mug is ready - a pig.

You can use a mug with a heating pad both for its intended purpose and make a funny pencil case for a child out of an unnecessary mug dressed in a cheerful Greek. And if you make snowflake cheeks for the pig, then it will look very New Year's.
