To knit a heating pad we need:

• Children's voluminous yarn in pink, white and black;
• Hook;
• Button;
• Needle;

Let's start knitting warmer base. This is the biggest detail. Let's make a slip loop out of pink yarn and cast on 3 more air loops.

We will tie 11 more double crochet stitches into a sliding loop. And we will close the row in a circle using a connecting post.

In the next row, you need to make increases. We will do them in each loop of the bottom row. And we get 24 double crochets in the second row.

Hot-water bottles were decorated with embroidery, special decorative or protective ornaments. The hostess made the heating pads for the kettle with their own hands specially as a gift to the guests.

It is impossible to put a heating pad on the kettle immediately after brewing tea, the brewing will simply stifle.

Such heating pads were needed before for tea ceremonies, tea parties without fuss. Then at the end of the tea party, so that the tea would not cool down, they put a heating pad on the teapot.

I knitted the strips with the front stitch on 65 loops, 8 rows wide. We twist the strips into roses, grabbing them with a needle and thread.

After choosing the design and type, let's get to work. Consider the option of making a closed heating pad, since it is easier to perform. It is better to start knitting from the bottom. We collect the first row of loops, equal to the width of the teapot 2 cm. Then we knit in a circle up to 1/3 of the height. After that, we subtract the loops on both sides (from the side of the spout and the handle) by the 1st in each row and so on until the end of the teapot height plus 1 cm.

At the end of the work, close the part, fold it in half to make an even trapezoid and connect both edges with the last column. The bottom edge can be made with contrasting threads.

Then we knit a circle for the head (of two halves), on which we attach eyes-buttons on both sides (you can glue ready-made ones). We make the beak in the form of a triangle. Having collected all the details, we sew the blank and stuff it (with cotton wool, scraps, etc.).

We attach the finished head to one of the ends. We make the wings and sew them on the sides of the trapezoid. At the end of the work, we cut out the inner cotton part. This will prevent yarn fluff from entering the kettle. It should be 0.3 cm less along the side seam, and 1 cm longer than the top one.

Sewing the lining. The edges, if the material crumbles, are processed with an overlock, zigzag or finishing tape. Now we connect the parts. Knitted cover we turn it with the seams inward, the lining - with the seams outward and insert it into the first one, we fasten the parts. We fold the bottom of the lining and attach it to the outer part.

The second option is for knitting. The knitting pattern is simple: we type an edge row equal to the volume of the teapot + 1 cm and knit a garter stitch fabric two heights + 2 cm.Fold it in half, sew the sides. We knit the ears tightly so that they stand.

There are two ways - either cast on the stitches from the top row or separately. The number of loops affects the length and firmness of the ears. Better to limit yourself to 10-15. When working at the beginning of each row, we knit the first two loops together. So we knit until the end, until there are two or one loops left.

Sew on ears, eyes and a button nose (or glue on purchased ones) and embroider antennae. Top part already ready. Further, everything is the same as described above.

Sewn heating pad

The third type is for those who like to sew. We draw a semicircle with a diameter of 1-2 cm larger than the teapot. We cut out the workpiece from fabric, non-woven and padding polyester. We fold the fabric with the right side inward, apply a synthetic winterizer to the seamy side and connect along the perimeter, leaving the bottom open.

We sew the flizelin around the perimeter (except for the bottom), leaving 10 cm on one side.Then we put the lining with the front side inward and sew along the bottom, turn it out through the hole, which we then sew with a blind seam manually or on a typewriter.
