We really like knitting and we believe that you can crochet from almost any material, as long as it is long, flexible and thin. We knitted from jute, leather cord, old T-shirts and today we decided to create an exquisite decoration using only a thin hook and gold chrome thread.

Unconventional materials are often difficult to process, but gold chrome thread is easy and convenient to work with. Up close, these earrings look like they are made of chain or wire. Super cool, right?

Do you want the same earrings? To make them, you need the following materials and tools:

Special stitches:

• c.p. - air loops;
• RLS - single crochet;
• CCH - double crochet;
• PS.sN - half-column with a crochet;
• PS.s2N - half-column with 2 crochets;
• Comm. Art. - connecting column.

Half double crochet (PS.s2N) - yarn over in half, insert hook into work, yarn over (four loops on hook), yarn over and pass through two loops (three loops on hook), yarn over and pass through all loops.

Step 1: tie the motifs

You need to knit two small motifs that will be the centers of the earrings. Make the next two patterns using gold laminated thread and a 2.75mm crochet hook. If you are using a different brand and diameter of thread, you may need to use a different hook accordingly.

Ch 1, Sc in the same loop, *2 Sc in the next loop (PS.sN., SSN) in the next loop, (PS.s2N., 2 ch., PS.s2N.) all in the next loop, (PS.sN., SSN) in the next loop, 2 RLS in the next loop, ** RLS in the next loop, repeat from * to ** 1 time, conn. Art. in the first 2 v.p. to join.

This circle is created only from reverse loops (see the figure below).

Ch 1, sc in same stitch, sc in back st each stitch only until you reach 2 free chs, (dc, ch 2, dc) in skip, sc in back st only in each stitch until you reach 2 free ch. (CCH, 2 ch, cong.st. at the top of the newly created CCH, CCH) all in 2 free ch. (see second photo below). RLS in the back loop of each stitch, conn.st. in the initial sc to join. Weave the ends along the back using the smaller crochet hook.

Motive number 1 is ready! Just repeat the process to create the second motif.

If you want, you can reinforce your motifs by gluing them to the fabric or soaking them with glue (starch, varnish, etc.) We decided that they were quite rigid and without reinforcement, so we did not do anything extra.

Step 2: Make Bead Pendants

When your crochet patterns are ready, make pendants for them.

• Place the turquoise beads (or whatever material you want) on the gold pins.
• Next, take the round-nose pliers and wrap the pins in a ring. Cut off excess wire with wire cutters.
• Align the rings and hide their ends in the bead with pliers. Pendants are ready!

Step 3: assemble the earrings

We used two connecting rings to attach the motif to the hook, and this allowed us to align the pattern. The pendant mi was attached to the bottom of the motif with a single connecting ring.
