At school, they were given the task of making a handicraft from natural materials for an exhibition. The first thing I heard when I picked her up from school

- Do we have a squash or pumpkin?

- Do you want me to fry a zucchini or cook pumpkin porridge?

- No, I want to make a craft

- Pumpkin or vegetable marrow?

- Yes, you can imagine what kind of wolf will turn out from a vegetable marrow, and what can be made of a pumpkin?

“I don’t know, my daughter,” I muttered dumbfounded, imagining how Dasha was carrying a pumpkin to school, or rather, how a pumpkin was carrying Dasha 🙂

After talking a little and understanding the situation, I found out that pumpkin is not an obligatory material for crafts and much more banal cones, acorns and autumn leaves... Comparing the possibilities we have, Dasha said that she would make a peacock!

- Well, well, - I gasped, - a peacock, so a peacock.

Fate was kind to us, because after 10 minutes, having parked the car near the house, we found red maple helicopters.

- Here, this is the same! - Dasha shouted joyfully. - This is my future peacock!

Material:

• pine cone (important!)
• many multi-colored maple helicopters (autumn should paint them, this is also important)
• 2 maple leaves (large and small)
• foam rubber (red and any color)
• wide transparent tape
• eyes (shaking, Dasha says this is important)
• glue gun (you could have trusted Moment too, but the assistant needed a role!)

Progress:

• We glue the maple leaves with tape on both sides (lamination effect) and cut them out along the contour
• in a semicircle we paste over a larger sheet with helicopters (see photo)
• glue a small maple leaf in the top center, covering the tips of the helicopters
• glue the tail to the bump

• cut out the body from foam rubber and glue it to the bump on the other side
• cut out 2 triangles from red foam rubber and make a beak
• and of course the eyes! Remember they have to shake 🙂
