Protozoa do-it-yourself fabric angel created from a handkerchief or a piece of burlap, and is called a primitive. More complex figures are made using the soft toy technology from full-fledged patterns. Methods for making textile angels

Primitive Angels

A budget option for a festive angel figurine is primitives. They got their name for the following reasons:

• fabric waste is used
• apply simple ways manufacturing
• the shape of the dolls turns out to be primitive, only the general appearance of a recognizable character is outlined

• billet- a square piece of 20 x 20 cm of textile (poplin, organza, tulle, linen, burlap, matting) for the body, 15 x 15 cm for the wings and knitting thread (best with lurex, acrylic)

• edge decoration- 1 - 2 cm around the perimeter must be "swept" by stretching the longitudinal wefts of the textile

• head- in the center of the square, cotton wool or synthetic winterizer rolled into a ball is placed (you can wrap it with thread), the textile is folded diagonally

• neck- it is formed with a thread below the head, while the “face” needs to be straightened, folds can be made on the sides to more clearly outline the contours of the face

• arms- the edge is bent inward by 2 - 3 cm, folded into an envelope, tied with a thread, as in the lower figure, the second brush is formed in a similar way

• wings- a small square is folded diagonally, then into an "accordion", which is threaded to the angel's back with a long part of the accordion, as in the photo

The last operation is the most difficult, when attaching the wings to the body of the toy, it is necessary to assemble it into a bundle. Three turns obliquely enough for normal fixation, the thread passes through the left shoulder under the right arm, then over the right shoulder and below the left arm.

Attention: The cross is obtained on the chest, the knot is tied on the back of the doll in the form of a loop for hanging the angel.

For the category of craftsmen who prefer sewing to knitting techniques, angels made of matting or burlap stuffed with soft material are more suitable. In this primitive, the "recognizability" of the character's appearance is achieved due to the shape of the blanks:

• piriform body
• round head
• dainty little wings

This option can be attributed to soft pillows, toys, pendants and primitives at the same time. If necessary, angels are hung on a Christmas tree, in a car interior, on windows and in any other convenient place.

Stuffed Toys

Depending on the drawing skills, patterns for soft toys in the form of pretty angels can be made in several ways. The main task of the master is how to make the figures recognizable, it is solved by the following methods:

• required attributes- the figurine can be completely shapeless, but if it has wings, a star and a halo, you can recognize an angel in it
• movement simulation- by giving the body of the doll the shape of an arc and sharpening the edges of the workpiece, you can ensure the swiftness and airiness of the craft, evoking associations with an angel on a subconscious level
• similarity of outlines- legs, torso, wings and arms are created from separate patterns, the figure is complemented by a star or halo, special symbols embroidered on the torso

By default, angels are miniature in size for easy placement on key rings, inside car interiors, on branches Christmas trees. Therefore, simple outlines of patterns for small stitches of a thread seam are preferable.

The easiest way is to sew a doll with "humanized" contours, in which it is easy to identify an angel by the wings on the back.

Master Class for the manufacture of a primitive-suspension is as follows:

• cut– 2 “head” parts, 2 “body-dress” parts, 2 “wings” parts
• suspension– a fabric loop is sewn to one part “head” from the inside
• sewing- each detail "head" is sewn to the element "torso" with a transverse purl seam, then the halves are attached to each other and turned inside out front part outward, at the bottom of the doll, leave a hole for filling the figurine

• padding- made with synthetic winterizer, foam rubber or cotton wool, the hole is sewn up with 1 - 2 stitches

12. Stuffing

• hair- can be made from threads, cotton wool, other materials suitable for the texture, gluing them in the form of a hairstyle

13. Hair, face and wings

• face– decorated with marker, paint or pencils
• wings- toys are attached to the back
• bow- pinned with a pin or sewn on with a thread, decorated with a rhinestone, a bead on the belly of the figurine

Using this technique, you can build up to two dozen toys for the Christmas tree with your own hands from the remaining textile flaps and scraps per day.

An alternative to the previous "fatties" are "soaring" New Year's angels made of light flannel. Their recognizable shape became popular thanks to author Silvia Sartorio:

• the body is arched in the lower back
• arms extended to the sides at an angle of about 45 degrees
• the doll does not have a neck, but has a stylish hairstyle and beady eyes
• wings of equal length with arms are decorated with embroidery or rhinestones

• cutting and preparation of details- the torso is sewn separately with the head, legs, arms and wings
• assembly- all elements are stuffed with soft material, sewn to each other, as in the bottom photo

15. Patterns

Following the indicated principles for the manufacture of soft toys, you can modify the shape and size of patterns, apply additional elements, and experiment with materials.

From a simple pattern

Do-it-yourself elegant Christmas angels are obtained from bright fabric according to a very simple pattern:

• torso- a conical cap, the development of which can be made without special education
• plug- installed in lower part cap, so that the stuffing material does not fall out of it, the figure had greater stability
• wings- sewn from 2 parts of the same size in the shape of a heart

16. Step by step production

To assemble a funny figure with your own hands from fabric, you must follow the steps:

• the tip of the textile cone is wrapped with a seam outward, grabbed to the body of the doll with a stitch of thread, these will be the lowered hands of an angel, into which you can “put” (sew on from below) a bell, a horseshoe, a bead, any other decorative trifle, as in the bottom photo
• in the place of the bend, the doll is sewn on a “head” made of a large bead or a part sewn from textiles

Our ancestors made such guardian angels. In principle, you practically don’t have to sew a toy, so this angel can be made with children. To make a toy, take:
- 2 square napkins with sides 30 cm;
- threads;
- scissors;
- thin satin ribbon

From cotton fabric: calico, chintz or linen in white or cream color, cut out two square napkins with sides of about 30 cm. Unfold the edges of the napkins to make a fringe. Lay the workpieces on top of each other on the table.

Roll up a ball from scraps of fabric and place it in the middle of the part. Gather the corners of the napkins and lift the structure. With the other hand, take the ball along with the fabric, turn it over and tie a thread under it white color. This will make the head of an angel.

Now make the wings. Lift the back corners of the top napkin and tie them with thread.

Lift the front corners of the top napkin up and tie at the base. Tie the edges so that you get hands.

Cut a piece of satin ribbon 10-20 cm long. Fold it in half. Attach the loop to the head of the angel and sew a few stitches over the edge.

felt angel

Felt is a very comfortable material, sewing from which is a pleasure. To sew an angel you will need:
- felt in white, yellow and blue shades;
- thread and needle;
- scissors;
- thin satin ribbon for the loop.

Draw a sketch of the future angel. The figurine can be the simplest: round face with a simple hairstyle, a long blue dress and wings. Make a drawing of the figure in front and behind and make a pattern for each part separately.

Attach the pattern to the felt, circle it with a pencil and cut along the contour. Fold 2 parts of the head. Insert a dress between them. Sew the bottom with small basting stitches.

Attach a hairstyle to the head and sew a hair detail along the contour. On the face, embroider the eyes and mouth. Attach the detail of the wings to the back of the angel and also sew them along the cuts of the dress. Align all cuts.

Make a loop so the angel can be hung up. Cut a piece of satin ribbon 10-20 cm long. Fold it in half. Attach the loop to the head of the angel and sew a few stitches over the edge.

We prepare materials

• a piece of white felt for the wings;
• colored patches of felt for dresses of angels;
• felt in a contrasting color for the base;
• small pieces of felt for the faces and hair of angels;

• black embroidery thread to embroider the eyes and mouths of the angels;
• several pcs. black beads for the eyes and sequins to decorate the dresses of angels;

Operating procedure

1. Firstly, print the template and cut out all the details from paper: wings, legs, dresses, faces and hair (front), and cut out two small ovals for the arms.
2. Now transfer the details to the fabric and cut out the details already from the fabric. Take a piece of felt intended for the base, and with the help of pins, fix the wings and body of the angel on it.
3. Substitute the legs of an angel under the dress, thread the thread of the corresponding color into the needle and sew the dress felt to the base with neat stitches.

4. Do the same with the wings using white thread.
5. Put the head template on the body of the angel and, using a beige thread, sew it to the base.

6. Put a pattern of hair on top and sew it with a thread of the appropriate color.
7. Following the same pattern, sew the body of an angel with the handles folded in front to the felt base.

8. Overlay the pattern of the face and arms of the angel, securing them with pins, and sew with a matching thread with the same small stitches.

9. Now return to the first angel and, having threaded a black thread through the needle, embroider the eyes and mouth of the angel on the face.
10. Sew on the angel's hair with folded handles and sew on black beads for eyes.

11. Embroider a halo to this angel with golden thread.

12. In the same way, make the third angel and embroider his dress with stars, and wings with sparkles or sequins.

13. With sharp embroidery scissors, cut the felt around the body of the angel, stepping back 3-4 mm. Lay the angel on a piece of felt and cut out another piece of the base.
14. Cut a piece of thin white ribbon 12-14 cm long, fold it in half and sew the edges with reverse side angel to form a loop.

15 Lay the second base on the back of the angel and sew the two bases with matching thread, overcasting along the edge.

Materials:

• Multi-colored fabrics (preferably thick satin or brocade);
• Scissors;
• Sewing accessories (needle, thread, pins);
• Ribbons, braid, lace;
• Thin wire;

To do this, we form a torso from plasticine and put a knitted part on it, after wrapping the plasticine with cling film so as not to stain the product.

When the lace products are dry, you need to carefully sew all the parts together and tie a decorative thread to the back of the angel.

Beaded angel

We will need:

• Beads of different colors;
• Big bead;
• Thin wire.

Doing it yourself is very easy. Surely each of us has the skill of beading. By stringing beads on a wire, you can model the product yourself. A large bead is used as a head.

shell angel

To make with your own hands so cute and beautiful decoration for the Christmas tree you will need shells (1 large for the body and 2 small for the wings), a bead for the head, gold beads for the halo and a gold decorative thread.

All parts can be connected to each other with hot glue and a thin nylon thread.

Corn leaf angels

This angel is probably the most unusual and gentle of all. Who would have thought that this beauty could be created from such material as corn leaves.

Plasticine angel

Angels are gentle white-winged harbingers of the Christmas miracle. They are the helpers and protectors of those who believe in divine power and try to live by adhering to righteous covenants. Angels are associated with purity, goodness and love. For creative work prepare:

• a set of colored plasticine;
• nail scissors;
• stacks;
• modeling board;
• toothpick.

We sculpt an angel figurine from plasticine. Step by step description work

Take white and a little pink plasticine, mix until flesh-pink. Divide the plasticine into two parts, roll up a round base for the head from the larger one.

Blind a small oval nose, stick to the center of the face. With a round stack, highlight the recesses under the eyes and cheeks.

Make two flat round blanks for the cheeks from pale pink plasticine. Insert them into the prepared places. Smooth the edges with your finger so that the ruddy spots look natural.

Roll up two white balls, lightly press them with your finger and insert them into the eye sockets. Make a blue iris, black pupils and white highlights. Stick all the details on top of each other, as in the picture.

Make a small smiling mouth out of pink or red plasticine.

Choose clay yellow color, add some golden and stir. Roll up long thin flagella, outline the approximate middle. Roll one end into a spiral along the inside edge and the other along the outside. You should get a kind of twisted "eight", as in the photo.

Start connecting the curls from the center of the forehead, placing the blanks horizontally. Fill in the first row with curls.

Stick the second row of curls vertically. The following rows can be stacked in any order, most importantly, try to place the elements closer to each other.

Make two small flagella, round the ends and stick in the center of the forehead.

Knead white plasticine, mold a cone-shaped robe and two sleeves. Cut off the top of the large cone and use a large round stack to make a notch, as in the picture.

Decorate the hem, the edges of the sleeves and the neck with golden plasticine. Connect the pieces of clothing.

Blind the feet and hands, select the fingers with a toothpick or a stack. Stick the limbs in place.

Make two parts in the form of a "leaf". Using a sharp stack or nail scissors, cut off the edges to form the outline of the feathers. Apply a wave pattern along the top edge.

Break ⅓ of the toothpicks, insert in place of the neck. Glue the wings to the back of the figurine.

Connect the head and body. Plasticine Christmas angel is ready!

New Year holidays in every home are accompanied by the expectation of a miracle. Not only children, but also adults sometimes want a little magic and joyful events. From time immemorial, an angel has been considered a messenger of good news, and we will make it for the New Year tree. The master class was prepared by Svetlana Satina.

To make an angel, you will need the following materials and tools:
- cotton wool
- white threads
- PVA glue,
- foil,
- stacks,
- puppet face
— artificial hair or from old doll,
- laminated sheet of paper or cling film,
- Super glue,
- watercolor paints,
- awl
- jute threads
- brushes.

From food foil we form an angel dress in the form of a cone and a sleeve in the form of an arc.

When working with foil, you do not need to compact it too tightly if you want to make the toy weightless.
Separate from cotton thin tapes and with the help of white threads we wrap them around the body. At this stage, we immediately fix the hands.

We close the angel's dress with cotton and at the same time increase the desired volume. We separate two thin cotton tapes of the same length and close the handles with them. It's better to start from the end. We twist the cotton wool tightly in these places to give them the shape of mittens. Gradually we wrap the pieces of cotton wool up to the shoulder, where we finally fix it with threads.

In the process of work, the position of the hands can be changed and made in such a way that it is convenient to work. Before the cotton dries, you still have time to give them the desired position. Foil even in cotton wool bends freely.
Approximately such a figure should turn out.

Now let's move on to creating the head of our angel. For this work, a puppet face was used, made of plaster by casting. You can take a purchased head or make a face yourself. If there is no way to find or make it, it is perfectly acceptable to simplify the task. It is not difficult to make a face round from cotton wool, and then draw eyes, eyebrows, mouth and nose on it.
We roll a ball out of foil, make a recess in it and connect it with a plaster blank with superglue.
Then glue the head to the body.

In general terms, our figure already resembles an angel, and you can start raw work.

We dilute the PVA in half with water, tear off thin layers from the cotton wool and begin to cover all the clothes of the toy. To make cotton wool fit better, it is laid in one direction of the fibers and smoothed tightly with a flat brush or finger. In the process of work, immediately form folds on the dress and edging on the sleeves, adding more cotton wool to the right places. We take ready-made artificial hair or from an old doll and make an angel's hairstyle. We glue the curls around the face, cover the head with a cotton handkerchief from above. To do this, we cut out a triangle from a thin cotton layer, coat it with glue on one side, smooth it, put it on our heads and bring the ends back.

Our doll has acquired an even more "angelic" look. We send it to dry, and we ourselves will take care of the main attribute of the inhabitants of Heaven - wings.

How to make angel wings
The easiest way to make wings is to mold them from cotton wool. On a flat and smooth surface, we lay out layers of cotton wool according to the size of future wings. We coat them with glue and smooth them tightly with a brush. We mark the contours of the wings with a stack, draw feathers and let dry. It is very convenient to do this work on laminated paper sheets. If this is not at hand, wrap any smooth surface with cling film.

When the wings are dry, cut them along the outlined outline and make the volume on the reverse side. To do this, glue the smooth side with thin cotton pieces and again work with a stack, drawing feathers. The second side should also dry, and only then you can continue to work with the wings.

It remains for the angel to paint the face, glue the wings and thread the cord so that it can hang on the Christmas tree. We draw eyes, eyebrows with watercolor paints, give tone to the lips and apply a light blush to the cheek area.

To give a shade to the wings, we dilute the black and brown watercolor with plenty of water and paint over them. When the paint is dry, apply white acrylic paint on top with a dry brush. With the same brush, we will go through the hair lightly, imitating snow.

We fix the wings on superglue, pierce a through hole in the upper part of the toy with an awl, stretch the jute thread and tie it in a knot.

A cotton angel is ready to decorate a Christmas tree or become a wonderful gift. Such a toy would be appropriate as a present for New Year or Christmas.
