the use of branches in decorative compositions

Nowadays, compositions made from flowers, dry branches, foliage and decorative elements are becoming increasingly popular. Such compositions look equally good both indoors - at home, office or cottage - and in the yard or garden. Materials for such decorative compositions are easy to find at any time of the year: in summer and spring, you can use flowers, greenery and dry branches, in autumn you can dilute the composition with colorful foliage and dried fruits, in winter - with cones and spruce branches.

Branches, both naked and with leaves or berries, are an excellent decorative element and addition to flower arrangements. In addition, branches can represent independent material to create a "bouquet". A beautiful composition will turn out from the branches of dry berry bushes, dry branches of heather and forsythia. The choice of a vase for a composition of branches is very important, since the branches are directed upwards, and therefore do not cover the vase. Thus, the vase is also an important element of the composition. In this case, it is better to choose a tall oriental-style vase. Cut off unnecessary or damaged leaves, shoots from the branches, cut the branches to the desired length and place in a vase, according to the intended design. If you are using fresh branches, then make sure that their ends are placed in water. The length of the branches used in the composition may be different, depending on the design of the composition.

Bare branches will look good in a "winter" composition. In a small wooden tub filled with cones and acorns, place 3 or 5 small bare branches in the middle. This will make the composition more original and interesting.

Hazel

Various branches and flowers are used for compositions, but special decorative elements are also needed to complete the composition. It can be artificial plastic berries or fruits, as well as fresh fruits. These elements are fixed in the composition with floral wire and glue. For example, an original composition can be created using light green and dark green eucalyptus, fresh pears, clusters of plastic fruits. The eucalyptus branches are cut to the desired length, lowered into a bucket of prepared floral foam (the right-sized bar of foam must be held in a saucepan of water until it gets wet, and then put in a bucket) and placed according to the intended design, allowing some eyelids to hang freely down. With the help of wire cutters, separate the elements you need from the bunches of fruits and strengthen them in the composition with the help of floral wire. V lower part pears, you need to stick a floristic stick (up to about half of the pear) and place the resulting product in the composition.

Painted branches adorn the composition wonderfully

Glitter sprigs will add glamour, and a sense of celebration.

Bamboo

Twigs with beads - very romantic and gentle

To maintain composition

The use of vases not only removes the problem of fixing the plants included in the bouquet, but also allows you to put fresh flowers in the water. If there is no vase in the composition, then the jar of water in which the flowers will stand will have to be masked. You can also pour water into small test tubes and small medicine vials.

Massive coniferous branches are fixed with a metal holder-kenzan - a lead plate with brass carnations soldered into it. If the kenzan is too small, it can be fixed on the stand with plasticine. The simplest and most affordable substitute for kenzan is a large potato tuber, into which the branches are simply stuck.

Twigs as the main element

When creating winter bouquets, coniferous branches, cones, dried flowers are used. Fresh flowers can also be included in such compositions, because some potted plants bloom in winter, for example, cyclamen, begonia, strelitzia, anthurium. They are also often used in winter bouquets. Do not forget about the flowers sold in flower shops. When used in a New Year's composition, fresh flowers are placed in a small vase, test tube or bottle of water, masking it among greenery or cones.

Coniferous branches before inclusion in winter bouquet it is necessary to rinse with cold water, remove yellowed and broken needles from them.

In order for the cones to open, it is recommended to hold them over steam or a hot electric stove, and if it is necessary that they do not open longer in a warm room, they are sprayed with hairspray. To attach the cones, a wire is used, the thickness of which depends on the size of the cone. In this case, the cones must be wrapped with wire, passing it through the lower scales and twisting one end around the other

Before the New Year holidays, a school or kindergarten often needs to bring a thematic work called “winter bouquet”. If your children are still small, then sooner or later you will face this task. But do not run to florist courses or study books on gardening. Our MK on the craft "Winter Bouquet" with a photo will teach you how to create winter magic from improvised materials in the shortest possible time.

winter rose

Winter bouquets are good because you can use a huge variety of materials for their manufacture. Traditionally, these are spruce or fir branches, you can also use artificial ones, nuts or shells, cones, dried citrus peels, Christmas decorations and tinsel, as well as everything that your imagination is enough for. The main thing is that the winter bouquet is beautiful and does not stand out from the general theme.

This will be done very simply for kindergarten, and the whole family can take part in its manufacture.

What we need for the bouquet:

  • twigs (spruce, fir, pine, artificial branches);
  • cones and nuts;
  • Styrofoam;
  • floral sponge;
  • beads, glass beads or beads;
  • artificial roses.

The first thing we do is cut out the foam for the stand. If your foam is too thin, then it is better to glue it in several layers. The width and height of the stand depends on how much your branches weigh and how tall they are, the branches should not outweigh the base. On average, a stand with a width of 20-25 cm and a height of 15-17 cm looks good.

When the stand is cut out, proceed to cutting a hole inside it. It will come in handy for us to insert a floral sponge into it. If you have artificial branches, you can do without a floral sponge. It is needed so that the branches stand green longer and do not crumble. And so we carefully cut a hole in the foam and cut out a sponge according to the shape of this hole. Wet the sponge with water and insert it into the hole.

Styrofoam must be draped. To do this, you can glue it with paper tape, wrap it with New Year's tinsel, but we used green floral sisal for this purpose. Sisal can be attached with pieces of adhesive tape or a regular stapler.

The stand is decorated, let's move on to working with twigs. Carefully insert them one by one into the floral sponge and do not rearrange them from place to place. We do not loosen the recesses in which the branches were placed, otherwise they will not sit firmly. Next to the branches we insert a branch with roses and turn the flowers in the direction we need. If spruce branches and roses lean, you can stick a stick of a suitable color next to it and wind the branches to it with beads. About the same as tying up tomatoes in greenhouses.

The branches are installed, add beads or threads with beads to them.

And the last thing - we decorate the top of our stand with cones and nuts. Particular attention should be paid to the base of the branches and the side in which our roses look. Once all the nuts and cones are attached, add some beads, beads, or sequins to them to make them look more festive.

Our winter bouquet is ready, the first place in the craft competition is in your pocket!

Bouquet with Christmas balls

Such a bouquet is perfect for a school competition. It is easy to make, but it looks very impressive and festive. Your child will be pleased to show off such a composition to classmates.

To work we need to have:

  • flower pot;
  • cellophane;
  • sand;
  • branches of a coniferous tree, arborvitae or any similar tree;
  • glue;
  • Christmas tree rain;
  • Christmas decorations.

Cellophane is laid inside our pot.

Now fill the form with sand.

Now, carefully, at an angle, twigs are placed in the sand and sprinkled with a little sand on top to better hold. It should look like a coniferous pillow.

A wreath is constructed from Christmas toys and placed on top of our pillow. The wreath must be fixed with wire on the pot.

To make a wreath of toys, we need to twist two circles of medium hard wire, one larger circle, one smaller circle. Circles are fastened together with wire. When the circles are fastened, you need to drape them. To do this, we tightly braid our design with tinsel and rain. The last step is to add toys to the wreath. Each toy has a little thing for which it is hung on the Christmas tree. It is for this little thing that we will fasten our balls to the frame of the wreath using wire.

Small toys and various beads are glued to the wreath with glue. Our winter bouquet is ready. Surprisingly, we made this beauty with our own hands.

Also with the help Christmas balls and a floral sponge can make for a more traditional winter bouquet.

Recently, a special vision of New Year's fairs has become relevant, at which kids present to kindergarten, made with their own hands to decorate the room. This is one of the most fashion trends, which in Lately came to us from the west. With such ekibans, residents of European cities and America decorate not only the dwelling inside, putting them on holiday tables and fireplaces, but also placing them on entrance doors, stairs and courtyards. As a rule, making such compositions is not difficult and exciting, because this is the embodiment of fantasy, and absolutely for all family members.

Craft New Year's bouquet in kindergarten - basic principles

Before proceeding with the manufacture of this New Year's composition, it is worth considering 2 main factors:

  1. The craft must be put into something.
  2. It can be a flower pot, decorated to match the color of Ekibana or decorated with snowflakes, rain, or it can be a transparent vessel. If you decide to use the latter, then you will need to put a branch fixer in it, for example, white sand or a sponge, and be sure to close it with beautiful elements: Christmas decorations, artificial snow, tinsel, etc.

  3. Elements for crafts New Year's bouquet in the garden should be associated with the holiday.
  4. Making this Ekibana is never complete without spruce branches. As a rule, they are the main element of the craft. But then the fantasy is limitless: there can be Tui branches, Christmas toys, winter fruits, sweets, cones, figures of Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden, snowflakes, etc.

How to make a handmade New Year's bouquet with your own hands?

For a kid who goes to kindergarten, ekibana should not be complicated, both in the number of elements and in its execution. However, in any of the master classes we offer, the help of adults will be needed.

New Year's bouquet for kindergarten with Christmas balls

To make it you will need: a flower pot, cellophane, sand, coniferous tree branches and Thuja, wire, rain, Christmas decorations, glue.

You need to pay attention to the fact that to work with this craft, you should take only plastic Christmas balls, and also remember that you should not leave children alone when working with glue and wire.

New Year's bouquet with apples

To make it you will need: a flower pot, paper, a sponge, branches of a coniferous tree and Tui, apples (can be replaced with Christmas toys), wire.

For very young children, such a composition may not be entirely clear, so instead of apples, you can use multi-colored plastic Christmas balls. They are attached to the bouquet by holes with wire or pins.

Summing up, I would like to note that instead of a Christmas tree, you can make a New Year's bouquet both with and without the permanent attributes of the holiday. However, if you are making jewelry together with your child, then try to listen to him, because it is joint creativity that gives rise to masterpieces.
