No wonder it is also called the Christmas star and they try to bring it into their home. Make your own poinsettia different materials easily.

This is an original article and I made the flowers myself, but, like many others, it was stolen from this site with all the pictures. If you like what I do, please support my creativity, share it on social networks.

Artificial poinsettia flowers are used as. They decorate gifts, Christmas trees, make wreaths out of them. I propose several simple ways making a Christmas star with your own hands.

Ribbon poinsettia

For the festive christmas decoration trees or garlands, you can make a Christmas star from ribbons, 5 cm wide - silk or satin. For a flower, cut out several types of petals, 3-5 cm wide. The minimum quantity, like mine:

  • 3 pieces - 5 cm long,
  • 5 pieces - 6 cm long,
  • 5 pieces - 7 cm long.

Flower petals from segments are best cut diagonally.
Make 2 cuts along the edges of the petals of the Christmas star, melt them over the fire to make cloves.

Then make veins on each petal, warming the folds over the fire,.

Ribbon poinsettia assembly

For the middle, you can make stamens from beads or use ready-made ones on a wire.

Then fasten the leaves with wire to the stem and wrap the stem with teip tape.

A beautiful Christmas star can be made from satin ribbons. By the way, in nature, flowers have different colors and you can also choose any color, not just red.

From organza

Organza is an original and malleable material for the manufacture of various decorative elements. It is the easiest way to make flowers from it. They are beautiful, unusual and original. In order to make an organza poinsettia, you need a few scraps, beads or buttons for fastening, a candle and scissors.

First you need to make patterns of different sizes out of paper, for cutting out shapes. Then cut blanks from organza and singe the edges of each of them over a burning candle, so.

Then fold the blanks together and sew with beads or a button to keep them together. These flowers can decorate the Christmas tree.

Corrugated paper

For making poinsettia corrugated paper you will need 3 squares of red and green paper, 10x10 cm in size, a golden ribbon or rain for tying.

Carefully straighten the petals and form a flower. Also, small beads can be glued as a center for a flower.

Corrugated paper poinsettia can be used or.

Christmas star from a floristic grid

The mesh for packing bouquets is very rarely used to create decor. However, due to the variety of structure, type and color, it is becoming more and more popular. Floral mesh flowers look original and creative. Depending on the size you choose, it can be a flower for decoration or an independent decoration.

In order to make a poinsettia from a floristic mesh, you will need from 6 to 10 cut out squares, wire, Christmas balls Or big beads.

Let's try to do it with our own hands beautiful flower corrugated paper poinsettia. This flower is also called the Christmas star. It's not hard at all to make, but it's quite time consuming. You just need to show a little patience.

Materials that we need to create corrugated paper poinsettia:

  • Corrugated paper: red, yellow and green.
  • Tape tape, but you can do without it
  • Wire
  • hot gun
  • Scissors
  • Ruler

Work order

  1. We take paper of red and green colors and cut into squares

  • Red squares 10 * 10 centimeters - 6 pieces
  • Red squares 7 * 7 centimeters - 6 pieces
  • Green squares 13 * 13 centimeters - 4 pieces.

2. Then we take the kradratik and bend it in half

Then we unfold the square and smear the middle along the fold with glue and insert the wire.

The wire I use is regular beading wire, just fold it in half and twist it, but I think any other wire can be used.

While the glue has not cooled yet, we turn the square with the wire and press the fold with our fingers. Be careful with glue, don't burn yourself!

Here's what it looks like expanded.

Then we give the workpiece a rounded leaf shape, with a pencil we outline the boundaries

And with the help of scissors we cut off the excess, that's what should happen.

We give the leaf an even more natural shape, the lines can be outlined with a pencil in advance. It must be remembered that the poinsettia has pointed leaves.

Here's what happens

We give the leaf a more natural look by pushing through the veins. To do this, take a brush with a rounded end and press it with your finger from the back of the leaf.

We act carefully, trying not to tear the petals.

I conducted an experiment in the first one case (photo on the left) I took more tender paper, otherwise (photo on the right) thicker paper. And she pressed the veins on paper. Basically, the difference in appearance I did not notice the resulting flower, but thicker paper is still less likely to accidentally tear when embossing. So I liked her a little more.

We make all the red petals using this technology - 12 pieces (6 - large and 6 - small), and green leaves.

Making stamens

We make stamens. We cut five pieces of squares measuring 3.5 * 3.5 centimeters.

Spread hot glue in the middle of the square

And wrap it until it cools down.

And twist it into a rose

These are the things that should vouch

We cut off small strips of green corrugated paper and wrap red stamens in them.

Similarly, we make yellow stamens.

We make 5 yellow stamens.

We collect a flower

We twist the red and yellow stamens together with wire.

You should get 5 yellow-red stamens.

Then we connect all the stamens together and twist them with wire.

We wrap the stamens on top with green tape.

We begin to fasten the petals to the stamens, we start with a small petal.

Tip: If you don’t have a teip tape, it’s okay, you can easily replace it with ordinary green corrugated paper, cut into strips about 1 cm wide. Only in this case, corrugated paper needs to be fixed with glue

Then we fasten the bottom row of petals more.

Poinsettia, or, as it is also called, is one of the most beautiful "winter" flowers. It blooms from December to March, pleasing to the eye and uplifting. We invite you to decorate your interior with an artificial poinsettia made of paper with your own hands.

Master class: how to make a corrugated paper poinsettia

For this you will need the following materials:

  • corrugated (aka crepe) paper of three or four colors;
  • glue stick;
  • scissors;
  • thin and thick wire.
  1. Let's start with making the stamens of the flower. We cut green paper into strips about 3 cm wide.
  2. We twist each such strip into a thin flagellum.
  3. Tie a knot at the end of the flagellum.
  4. We make 15-20 stamens, preferably different colors.
  5. Now let's start making petals. We cut the red corrugated paper into rectangles measuring 4x7 cm and fold each of them in half lengthwise.
  6. Then we cut each half as shown in the figure.
  7. Straightening, we get a symmetrical poinsettia petal.
  8. We wrap its edges, as if rolling them into a tube. So our flower - paper poinsettia - will look more realistic.
  9. Then we cut the roll of red paper across, stepping back from the edge of 1.5 cm.
  10. We smear the wire with glue.
  11. And we begin to wind a strip of red paper on it. Our goal is to get a thin stem for the petal.
  12. Make as many legs as you have finished petals.
  13. For one poinsettia flower, 7 petals will be enough.
  14. We will do the same with green paper, forming 7 or more leaves.
  15. Let's move on to the assembly of the flower. Collect all the stamens in a bundle and wrap the bottom with wire.
  16. To hide the wire, start wrapping a narrow strip of green paper around the top.
  17. Gradually start adding red petals to the stamens, evenly placing them around the center of the flower.
  18. Collect a beautiful "bouquet" of petals. Do not forget to fix it with green corrugated paper, periodically lubricating it with glue. You can also use floral tape instead of corrugated paper.
  19. After the flower head is ready, attach a thick wire to the thin wire - the stem of the poinsettia. In a picturesque order, wind the leaves to it.

So our poinsettia is ready, or a Christmas star made of paper. As you can see, it is done quite simply, but it looks very beautiful. Decorate your home with flowers!

poinsettia, or otherwise christmas star- a symbol of the New Year and Christmas. The real flower is bright red, sometimes yellow, with textured veins on the petals and leaves. I made myself an unfading bouquet of crepe, or otherwise corrugated paper. I never thought that working with her was so easy and fast. Half a day of fun even for a beginner like me

What you need for work:

  • corrugated paper of red, light green, dark green and yellow flowers(I didn’t have red on hand, so in my case the color is non-standard - orange)

  • thin and thicker wire, for the stem

  • glue stick

  • scissors

How to make a poinsettia with your own hands

We start working from stamens and cuttings to petals and leaves. For stamens, cut a 1 cm strip of yellow and light green directly from a folded roll of corrugated paper. We take the tip, fold the corner diagonally and tightly twist it into a flagellum.

We tie a corrugated paper flagellum in knots at a distance of 5 cm from each other. Then we cut off the stamens directly above the knot.

For each poinsettia flower, you need to make 7 yellow and 7 green stamens.

For petioles, you need to take a thin wire and wrap it with a red and light green strip of corrugated paper. For each flower, 13-17 red petioles for the petals and the same number for the leaves.

Let's start making petals and leaves. They are made exactly the same. The difference is only in color.

We cut off a piece 7 cm high from the roll. We unfold it and cut it into pieces 5 cm wide. We put 5 pieces on top of each other in an even pile, bend in half like a book and cut out half of the leaf on them from the free edge. I didn’t use a template on purpose so that the leaves were slightly different from each other. After all, nature does not tolerate monotony!

Likewise, don't get hung up on a clear width. +/- 1cm is perfectly acceptable. At the cut out leaves, you need to roll up a small edging around the edges - this way the leaves look more embossed.

When the leaves are ready, open the pencil glue, push it a millimeter, put the finished petiole on it and carefully coat 4 cm from one end on all sides. We put the smeared part of the petiole in the center of the petal, fold the petal in half, carefully press it with our fingers. The petiole should be completely covered by the petal and glued on all sides. Carefully open the petal, but not completely, but so that the petiole remains hidden in the thickness of the paper.

This is well understood from the photographs of the leaves. A light petiole does not show through on a dark green leaf.

Next, we proceed to the assembly of the flower. We collect the stamens in bundles, tying them in the middle with a thin wire. Wrap a thin wire around a thick wire - this is how we attach the petioles to the stem. Now we take a narrow strip (the same width of 1 cm) of light green paper and begin to wind the petals alternately to the stamens on the stalk. Petals are selected from smallest to largest.

When we reach the leaves, we wrap the first 5 pieces at a small distance from each other, but already with a dark green ribbon of corrugated paper. We wind the remaining leaves at an increasing distance from each other.

My bouquet consists of 3 flower branches. I stuck them into the foam rubber, and squeezed the foam tightly into the flower pot. The top was sprinkled with decorative green sprinkles. It is placed in flower pots for aesthetics and for fertilizer.

That's all. I was satisfied with myself. And I consider the experiment a success. I will definitely experiment with corrugated paper again!

How to make a poinsettia with your own hands

Artificial poinsettia flowers are used as New Year's decor. They decorate gifts, Christmas trees, make wreaths out of them.

I offer several simple ways to create a poinsettia with your own hands.

Ribbon poinsettia

For New Year's decor, you can make a poinsettia from ribbons, 5 cm wide - silk or satin. For a flower, cut out several types of petals. The minimum quantity, as I have:

  • 3 pieces - 5 cm long,
  • 5 pieces - 6 cm long,
  • 5 pieces - 7 cm long.

Flower petals from segments are best cut diagonally.

Make 2 cuts along the edges of the poinsettia petals, melt them over the fire to make cloves.

Then make veins on each petal, warming the folds over the fire, like ordinary leaves.

Ribbon poinsettia assembly

For the middle, you can make stamens from beads or use ready-made ones on a wire.

  • Glue the first layer of three small petals onto the stamens.

  • Glue the rest of the petals together first, and then glue them on the stamens in a checkerboard pattern.

  • Glue the wire to the green leaves.

  • Then fasten the leaves with wire to the stem and wrap the stem with teip tape.

  • From organza

Organza is an original and malleable material for the manufacture of various decorative elements. It is the easiest way to make flowers from it. They are beautiful, unusual and original. In order to make an organza poinsettia, you need a few patches, beads or buttons for fastening, a candle and scissors.

First you need to make patterns of different sizes out of paper, for cutting out shapes. Then cut blanks from organza and singe the edges of each of them over a burning candle, as described in this article.

Then fold the blanks together and sew with beads or a button to keep them together. These flowers can decorate the Christmas tree.

    Corrugated paper

To make corrugated paper poinsettia, you will need 3 squares of red and green paper, 10x10 cm in size, a golden ribbon or rain for tying.

  • Fold the cut out squares with an accordion diagonally, starting from the center of the sheet.
  • Tie sheets of each color into a bundle.
  • Then gather them together and tie with a golden ribbon. Cut the ends of the tape and twist with scissors. They will serve as the center of the flower.

  • Carefully straighten the petals and form a flower. Also, small beads can be glued as a center for a flower.

Corrugated paper poinsettia can be used for New Year's decor or to decorate a gift.

    Floral mesh flowers

The mesh for packing bouquets is very rarely used to create decor. However, due to the variety of structure, type and color, it is becoming more and more popular. Floral mesh flowers look original and creative. Depending on the size you choose, it can be a flower for decoration or an independent decoration.

In order to make a poinsettia from a floristic mesh, you will need 6 to 10 cut out squares, wire, Christmas balls or large beads.

Squares can be cut one or different sizes. Then stretch each square diagonally, and twist it into a roll. The more squares you have, the more magnificent the flower will turn out, but do not be too zealous.

Collect all the blanks and tightly tie the wire in the middle. Also attach the balls with wire and straighten the flower petals.

Here you can play not only with size, but also with color or texture. Finished decoration Can be attached to a door or wall as a wreath.
