Idea number 1: Felt angel

You will need:

Felt (white, beige, pink, yellow - or choose combinations to your taste)

Threads in contrasting colors

Wool for hair angel - light shades

Ribbons

Wire

How to do:

  1. Transfer the templates for the details of the future angel onto paper or cardboard, increasing them to the desired size.
  2. Cut out the details in one copy.
  3. Next, transfer the pattern to the felt of the selected color. Since we will be sewing a voluminous angel, all the details must be doubled. As a result, you need to cut out from beige felt: 2 parts of the head, 4 parts of handles and feet, from pink felt - 2 parts of the dress and 4 parts of sleeves, from white - 2 parts of wings and a cloud, and from yellow - 4 parts of an asterisk.
  4. When all the elements are ready, start sewing. It is necessary to connect all paired parts and fill them with cotton wool or padding polyester. Sew the wings with a regular seam, for the rest of the elements we use an overcast. The palms need to be sewn into the sleeves with a hidden seam, and the feet - into the base of the dress. Threads can be either in the tone of felt or in contrasting colors.
  5. Now connect the parts together.
  6. Move on to decorating the face of an angel. The eyes and mouth can be drawn with a fabric marker, or you can use beads and threads.
  7. Hair can be made from 20-30 identical woolen threads. The length of the threads depends on the desired hairstyle. Tie the threads in the middle and sew to the head, forming ponytails or pigtails.
  8. Form a halo from a piece of wire or from a straightened paper clip and sew it to the head.
  9. Put the beads on the thread and sew on the stars.

Idea number 2: Paper angel

You will need:

Sheet of white or colored paper

Ribbon

Gold and white paper or cardboard

How to do:

  1. Fold a sheet of paper into an accordion shape.
  2. Cut the sheet in half, while dividing one of the halves into two more equal parts. You have made blanks for the torso and 2 angel wings.
  3. On each of the folds of all three parts, pierce holes from one edge.
  4. Connect the details. Apply the wings on both sides to the body so that the holes are on the same line. Pass a ribbon through the holes, then tighten it and tie a knot.
  5. From white paper, cut out two identical ovals (details for the angel's head) and two golden circles (details for the halo). Glue the paired parts together from the inside out.
  6. Put the face on the halo so that the golden part rises half a centimeter above the angel's face - and then glue the details.
  7. Use glue and a strip of paper folded into a "T" to attach the angel's head to the body. Optionally, you can draw an angel eyes and mouth.
  8. Tie a ribbon with a loop and hang the figurine on the Christmas tree.

Idea number 3: Cotton pad angels

You will need:

cotton pads

A little bit of cotton wool

Scissors with curly edges (zigzag or wave)

White threads

toothpicks

gold paint

Optional - beads, pearls, sequins, sequins

How to do:

  1. Take a regular cotton pad and cut it around the edge with curly scissors. If there are none, you can fold the disk 2 times and manually give the edges the desired relief.
  2. Place a small ball rolled from ordinary cotton wool in the center of the disk.
  3. Wrap the edges of the disk over a cotton ball and drag the disk over to make a shape that looks like a badminton shuttlecock.
  4. Straighten the edges of the disk and give it the shape of a semicircle (wings) with a ball (head) in the center.
  5. Take another disk and cut half of it.
  6. Place a toothpick on the workpiece so that one of its ends coincides with the center of the cut line, and the other crosses the center of the arc.
  7. Fold the part so that you get a pointed triangle with a toothpick sticking out of it. This will be the body of the angel.
  8. Apply glue to the center of the part - the wings and glue the torso to it.
  9. Draw a halo on the angel's head with gold paint, apply patterns on the wings and torso. If desired, you can decorate the angel with sequins and pearl beads.

Idea #4: Napkin Angel

You will need:

Openwork round pastry napkins with a diameter of 20 cm (1 pc.) and 10 cm (2 pcs.)

Piece of white cloth

golden braid

Gold paper or cardboard

Ribbon

Universal glue

How to do:

  1. Take a napkin with a diameter of 20 cm and cut off a little less than half of it. From the larger part, twist and glue the cone - this is the body of an angel.
  2. Cut a napkin with a diameter of 10 cm in half, twist two cones from both halves - future angel sleeves.
  3. Cut the second small napkin in half as well. Fold each part so that you get a triangle with opposite folds - this is the wing of an angel.
  4. Cut off the tip of the main part (large cone), stepping back about 2 cm from the edge.
  5. Glue wings and sleeves to the main part.
  6. From a piece of fabric, cut a circle (about 10 cm in diameter), the edges of which need to be sewn with wide stitches. Put a cotton ball in the center of the circle and tighten the thread to make a tight ball - the head of an angel.
  7. From gold paper, cut out 2 round pieces (about 5 cm in diameter) and then glue them together - this is a halo.
  8. Glue the golden halo to the head, closing the seams.
  9. Take a golden braid and encircle the head of an angel with it.
  10. Glue the head to the body.

For the body, take a round pastry napkin with a diameter of 20 cm. Glue a cone out of it. If desired, the central part of the napkin can be sealed by gluing from the wrong side white paper the desired shape.

When gluing the cone, try to match the openwork pattern on the top and bottom layers.

For sleeves, take a napkin with a diameter of 10 cm, cut it in half and glue two cones.

Cut the second napkin with a diameter of 10 cm in half. Fold each half so that you get opposite folds.

Cut off the top of the body cone by 1-2 cm and glue the sleeves and wings.

The body of the angel is ready.

For the head, cut a circle with a diameter of 9 cm from white knitwear or nylon, sew a “forward needle” seam, stepping back from the edge of 1 cm. Tighten the thread slightly and stuff the workpiece with padding polyester or cotton. Tighten completely and secure the thread with a knot.

It turns out here is such a pillow.

Hair can be done in different ways. I liked this golden braid with eyelets. In addition, it very well hides ugly screeds on the fabric.

Stick the tape on the pillow. For gluing various fabrics together, as well as for gluing paper-cardboard with fabric, I use UHU universal glue (Germany).

The head is ready.

For a halo, prepare two circles with a diameter of 5 cm from gold-colored cardboard. Glue them together and glue the ties in place on the head. Glue the head to the body.

In this article we will tell you how to make do-it-yourself angels from a napkin. This craft is very simple, even kids from kindergarten or schoolboy primary school. Having made several paper angels, you can not only decorate the house, but also create a small miniature for the game.

Paper angels from napkins, a step-by-step master class

Since in one article we offer two different options for angels, so you need to prepare two sets of materials:

  • white napkins 25x25 in size - 2 pcs.;
  • colored paper napkins 33x33 in size - 2 pcs.;
  • silver cord and red braid;
  • a small piece of cotton wool or synthetic winterizer;
  • scissors.

Working process:

  • We suggest starting by creating a small paper angel. To do this, take a white napkin, unfold it, and put a rolled up ball of cotton wool in the center.

  • Next, fold the two corners of the napkin, the result should be a triangle with cotton in the center.

  • Crumple a little triangle so that a small ball with cotton wool or padding polyester stands out, and so that the paper does not open, tie everything with a red thread as shown in the photo.

  • In just a few minutes you have made the body for the angel, now it's the turn for the wings. To do this, you need a second white napkin, which must be unfolded into a square, folded with an accordion, and the center tied with the same red thread.

  • Connect two blanks.

  • It remains to decorate the angel with a small hoop of silver braid and shorten the wings a little so that they are proportional to the body.

Angel from a large and colored table napkin

  • You need to start work, just like the previous craft: open the napkin, put a piece of synthetic winterizer on the center and fold it into a triangle.

  • Instead of a red thread, take a gray or white one and separate the head with it. But unlike the previous craft, here you need to highlight the food hands. Schematically highlight the waist and fold the edges of the napkin to make handles, and then tie everything up again with a thread. If you find it difficult to understand, just look at the photo below.

  • Now it's the turn for the wings, one option you already know how to do, now we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the second. This time, unfold the napkin with a rhombus.

  • Gather the accordion again, from the top corner to the bottom, and then tie everything in the middle with threads.

  • Tie the wings to the body and the decoration is ready.

  • But that's not all, there is another option for the wings. This time you need to fold the square into a double triangle.

  • Fold and tie the central part, and pull the side parts to the top.

  • It remains to reattach the wings to the body of the angel and the craft is ready. For beauty, you can also make a small band of braid on your head.

If you have not yet figured out how you will decorate the upcoming holiday, for example, children's party, then we suggest that you familiarize yourself with a great idea - making cute angels from openwork napkins. Also, this option is perfect for celebrating the New Year. And photographers in the city of Moscow will help you capture your holiday.

To make paper angels you will need:

Round pastry napkins with a diameter of 20 cm (for the body) and 10 cm (for the sleeves);

A piece of knitwear / nylon + synthetic winterizer / cotton wool;

Golden ribbon with loops and cardboard (other suitable materials);

Scissors, universal glue UHU (Germany), thread + needle.

An angel from an openwork napkin step by step:

Take a 20 cm round napkin and glue it into a cone. You can seal the central part of the napkin, for which you need to stick white paper on the wrong side suitable form. When you glue the cone, pay attention to the fact that the pattern of the openwork on the lower and upper layers matches (photo 1).

Take another napkin with a diameter of 10 cm and make sleeves out of it, for which you need to cut it in half and glue it into two cones (photo 2). Cut the second 10 cm napkin in half in half. Fold each half in such a way that counter folds form (photo 3).

Then cut off the top of the body-cone by 1-2 cm and glue the wings and sleeves (photo 4). This way you will make the body for the angel, as in photo 5.

Make an angel's head, for which cut a circle with a diameter of about 9 cm from a piece of white nylon / knitwear, sew with a “needle forward” seam, stepping back from the edge about 1 cm. Then tighten the thread slightly and fill the workpiece with cotton wool / padding polyester. Finally tighten and secure the thread to the knot (photo 6). Get just such a pillow, as in photo 7.

Can be used to simulate hair various materials, in this case, here is such a golden ribbon with loops that will help decorate ugly ties on the fabric (photo 8).

Glue the ribbon onto the pillow head using universal UHU glue (Germany), which can be used for gluing different fabrics together and for gluing fabrics to cardboard (photo 9).

Nimbus can also be done different ways, for example, twist from copper wire. You can also cut out two circles of golden cardboard with a diameter of about 5 cm. Then they need to be glued together and glued in place of the tie on the head. Then glue the torso to the head and get a cute little angel (Pic 10-11).

From such angels you can create whole garlands. To do this, you will need to make a loop for hanging angels. So, gently pierce the pillow-head with a long needle and thread through the cone-torso. Such angels can be hung on lamps or even on a Christmas tree.
