The federal authorities annually approve production calendar in accordance with the provisions of article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation and the order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation of August 13, 2009 No. 588n. All-Russian non-working holidays:

• January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 - New Year holidays;
• January 7 - Christmas;

But the subjects of the Russian Federation have the right to additionally establish national holidays, which are traditional for them, by their own legislative acts (Article 6 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, post. of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation dated December 21, 2011 No. 20-PV11).

The legislation of Bashkiria provides for additional holidays Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Sovereignty Day of Bashkortostan (Law of the Republic of Bashkortostan dated February 27, 1992 No. ВС-10/21).

Production calendar for 2019: Bashkortostan (with holidays and weekends)

In October, residents of Bashkiria will have an additional day off. On October 11, residents of the region will celebrate Republic Day. In accordance with the law "On holidays and memorable days in the Republic of Belarus "this day is a holiday non-working.

This year October 11 falls on a Thursday. Accordingly, the duration of work on Wednesday, October 10, is reduced by one hour. As recalled at the Ministry of Family, Labor and social protection population of the republic, on the basis of Article 120 of the Labor Code Russian Federation when granting an annual basic or annual additional paid leave, a non-working holiday on October 11 in the number calendar days holidays are not included.

Legislative basis

The Labor Code of the Russian Federation (Article 112) provides a list of days considered non-working. On the basis of this enumeration, weekends and shortened working days, as well as the dates to which holidays are transferred, are calculated every year. For 2017, Government Decree No. 756 “On the postponement of holidays” was adopted on August 4, 2016.

To calculate the norms of working time, the procedure approved by the order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation No. 588n dated August 13, 2009 is applied: it declares a working week of 5 days and two days off.

Also, the Labor Code of the Russian Federation (part 1, article 95) contains an instruction to shorten the duration of the working day or shift that comes before a future non-working holiday. This must be taken into account in the annual production calendar.

Holidays common throughout the country

Bashkortostan, being a subject of the Russian Federation, is subject to legislation establishing public holidays for all citizens of the country. Traditional Russian holidays will become non-working days for residents of Bashkiria.

• New Year's pleiad and Christian Christmas - 9 days from December 31 to January 8.
• Defender of the Fatherland Day - February 23 falls on Thursday.
• International Women's Day - March 8 also falls in the middle of the week.

Reduction of working hours

• February 22 (before Defender of the Fatherland Day);
• March 7 - before Women's Day;
• November 3 - Friday before Unity Day.

National holidays of Bashkortostan

Residents of Bashkiria will have a rest for several days longer than residents of other regions of the Russian Federation, since they have the right to add their traditional holidays to the all-Russian ones. In the Republic of Bashkortostan there are several holidays associated with folk rituals, as well as with a religious cult, because along with the Christian in the population of the Republic, the predominant percentage of the Muslim population. • Eid al-Adha- another religious holiday of paramount importance, means the day of sacrifice and the end of the pilgrimage to holy places. Its date also depends on the moon, in 2017 this day will come September 1. The holiday is also given three days, during which the rite of sacrifice itself and other traditional rites will be held, as well as visiting loved ones and performing prayers.

Working day shortened

In addition to the shortened days preceding the national holidays, residents of Bashkiria will work 1 hour less:

NOTE! Uraza Bairam falls on Sunday, so there are no reductions in the working day before it.

The daily norm of working time is calculated based on the established duration of the working week divided by 5 working days. If there are 40 working hours per week, then the daily shift will be 8 hours, for a 36-hour week this will be an indicator of 7.2 hours. It is these numbers that are reduced by 1 hour before public holidays.

If we calculate the number of working days per year, then in 2017, with a week of 5 days with two days off, Bashkirs will work 244 days, including 5 working days will be shorter by 1 hour. This will amount to 1947 hours with the usual length of the working week.
