How to make a round sisal wreath with balls. DIY Christmas wreath. How to make a beautiful wreath for the New Year. What materials to use for the base

Mammalogy

Good afternoon. Today I have put together - in one article - several ways to make Christmas wreaths with your own hands at once. I'll show you how you can make the base of a Christmas wreath - not necessarily from willow twigs, or spruce legs (not all city dwellers have this material) - so here you will see alternative bases for new year wreaths- from newspaper, cloth, toilet rolls and other suitable material.

So let's get started.

INTRODUCTION ...

How to make a BASE RING

for the Christmas wreath.

Let us come to our question in order. First, let's figure out what are the BASES for New Year's verki. What are the ways to MAKE such a base ring with your own hands? And then we'll start decorating the ready-made foundations.

Here are the basics for Christmas wreaths we'll cover.

  1. Paper flat base for a wreath (+ ways of decorating wreaths on such a basis)
  2. Volume base for a wreath from newspaper or toilet paper
  3. Braided wreath ring(from straw, or willow twigs)
  4. Christmas wreaths with foam base ring.
  5. And then I will show you how to make decorations for wreaths with your own hands.

OPTION # 1

from FLAT CARDBOARD

WHERE TO GET. Take large leaves of cardboard (a large pizza box is perfect). Or you can take large gray packing boxes (lying in the public domain next to the back entrance to any grocery store). You can ask in the store (they will gladly give for a chocolate bar). You can ask the caretaker at your work - he has such a good basement.

WHAT TO DO... We put a large dish on a sheet of cardboard. We outline with a pencil. Place a small saucer on the center of the drawn circle. We check with a ruler that the edge of the saucer is at the same distance from the large circle to the west, north, east, south. We also outline it with a pencil.

Cut out our flat cardboard bagel with scissors. We take white toilet paper and wrap our future Christmas wreath. Or a lace ribbon (this will be more expensive for the money). And then we will decorate the Christmas wreath ... this will be discussed below in our article.

DECOR OPTIONS

Christmas wreath with a flat base.

DECOR New Year's wreath - WITH THREADS AND FELT.

We wrap the cardboard base with threads. We twist the roses from felt and sew them onto the thread winding. We cut out the shape of a herringbone from salted dough, fashion houses (we push windows into them). In some places we sew Christmas balls in color to the general palette.

DECOR New Year's wreath - from an old SWEATER.

If you have a sweater among your old things for a long time. Then you can cut off two sleeves from it and decorate the flat base of the wreath with them. For this, each cut off sleeve unpick along the longitudinal seam- open - we wrap the base ring around the circumference and again we sew the same seam.

We do the same with the second sleeve - and the end of the second sleeve is directed to the top of the first sleeve - so that this the cut off top is hidden inside the neat elastic of the oncoming sleeve... Further, such a flat knitted base can be decorated with snowflakes, ribbons, and even skates (or any Christmas tree decorations).

DECOR Christmas wreath - with RIBBONS

For example, you can glue this cardboard circle with corners made of pieces of fabric (or paper). Cut the fabric into triangles - fold each in half 2 times. And stick it on the cardboard circle. First, we put triangles on the outer edge of the circle, then on top, closer to the middle, then another row closer to the middle, and the last row along the inner circle of a cardboard blank for a Christmas wreath.

DECOR of a New Year's wreath - from PAPER.

You can also glue such a flat bagel for a Christmas wreath with paper cut pieces. Paper bags, paper stars

You don't have to cut a hole in the cardboard ring. And make a wreath of gift paper and Christmas balls. We can see in the photo below that the gift paper is cut into rectangles. Each is rolled into a tube and glued to a paper circle - in a ray-like manner, with a small distance between the tubes.

We fill this distance with smaller tubes. And fill the middle with balls. We string the balls on the wire - we get a bundle of large and small Christmas balls. We make 2 holes in the center of the cardboard. We push the ends of the wire into the holes, and twist on the seamy side, forming a loop for which this vein can be hung.

You can cut pieces from music paper, roll them up into tubes and glue the foam ring. You will get such an elegant wreath.

DECOR New Year's wreath - from cones.

This same flat cardboard Christmas wreath bagel can be painted with paint. And immediately start sticking around with the prepared material - spruce legs, fir twigs, paper tinsel, Christmas tree garland or forest cones (as in the photo below). We attach the cones to polyurethane foam or hot glue from a glue gun.

The decor for a flat wreath is made of chopped branches.

WHERE TO GET... This option is suitable for summer residents or villagers. We need branches (those left after pruning an apple tree, for example). A city dweller can also stock up on three or four thick branches (trees are also pruned in the city).

WHAT TO DO. We chop the branches with an ax, or we cut them with a jigsaw. Cut a ring out of cardboard (from an old box). And now on this ring we will spread pieces of our stumps in a chaotic manner. We smear each piece with glue before laying.

WHAT GLUE IS FIT- shoe glue in tubes, or hot glue from a glue gun ($ 3 sold in a hardware store) Or a spray of polyurethane foam also sticks well.

We apply and glue the pieces on several floors. Dry. And cover with white paint WHAT PAINT WILL FIT- can buy acrylic paint at a hardware store ($ 1.5 per liter). You can buy paint in a spray can (this is much more expensive). You can dilute white gouache with PVA glue and paint with a wide brush or a foam sponge for washing dishes (very convenient). And then such a white wreath can be decorated with bright accessories.

DECOR New Year's wreath - natural material.

You can put nuts, cones, pieces of moss, twigs, sticks - any natural material on a cardboard circle.

DECOR New Year's wreath - with Christmas BALLS.

In the same way, Christmas balls of various diameters can be laid on a flat cardboard circle. Fasten with glue from a glue gun. You can add strands of glass beads and Christmas tree beads to the balls.

Christmas wreath ring

OPTION # 2

FROM WIRE.

And since we got to the wreaths of Christmas balls, then this kind of material ( Christmas decorations) can be attached to another wreath base - a wire ring.

Here in the photo below we see how we twist a ring out of ordinary wire. And then we hang bunches of Christmas balls on it. By the same principle as bulbs are hung in a braid onions when they are tied together in a garland and hung from the ceiling in the kitchen.

A wide variety of decorative materials can be attached to such a wire ring.

For example (photo below), we can take ordinary foam balls, prick them into pieces of wire, tie each wire tail to the common ring of the wreath and cover everything together with silver paint from a spray can.

You can do even easier - make a fluffy New Year's wreath - tie many, many strips cut from paper napkins(or made of white airy fabric). Like the Christmas wreath from the photo below.

Ring for the new year wreath

OPTION # 3

FROM THE NEWSPAPER

You can wind flagella-twigs from the sheets of the newspaper. And roll a wreath from such newspaper twigs - just like from twigs. We also make a flower decoration from a newspaper

We fold the sheets of newspaper into a tube. We take a new sheet and put our tube on the edge of this new sheet and wrap it in this sheet. It turns out the tube is already almost 2 times longer. We put it on the edge of a new sheet - and we also wrap it in a roll (we get a tube already 3 times longer). We continue until we get a tube of sufficient length so that it can be bent out of it. big ring for the Christmas wreath. We wrap the tube with a rope, and fold it into rings - we supplement the thickness with new layers of newspaper and wrap it with rope again. At the end, you can wrap everything with white toilet paper or tape or bandage.

You can also do decor of a wreath FROM FABRIC. For example, cut the fabric into squares. Fold each in half and sew the side seam and the bottom seam - we get a mini-bag. We put cotton wool (or synthetic winterizer) in it and sew up the upper seam. We tie the middle of the bag with a ribbon - and we have got a chubby bow. We tie these bows to the ring from the wreath.

Chubby sweets are made from the same squares of fabric - here you can not make seams. Put the synthetic winterizer, wrap and wrap the ends of the "candy" with threads.

Such a newspaper base for a wreath is quite heavy (paper weighs a lot). Therefore, you can make a lightweight (hollow inside) model of the Christmas base ring. Like the next idea ...

Ring for the new year wreath

OPTION # 4

FROM ROLLS.

If we want to get a LIGHTWEIGHT light base for the wreath, then for this we string toilet paper rolls on a rope (or wire). We put them on the table, level them so that they lie in the form of a regular circle - we fix the rolls with pieces of scotch tape, that is, we glue them to each other so that they do not crawl and twist on the rope and do not change their circular shape.

Then we do newspaper wrapping, or medical bandage, or toilet paper, or tape, or masking tape.

LIGHTWEIGHT BASE Christmas wreath decor options. On such a hollow wreath inside, you can attach light jewelry made of felt or crocheted, small twigs are thin and light, so that their weight does not warp the wreath, does not force the rolls empty inside to crumple.

You can tie pieces of tulle on it. We buy tulle in a fabric store different colors... We cut it into identical rectangles, so long that it was enough to wrap it around the ring wall, tie it into a knot, and the ends were still sticking out.

Also fit paper decorations... Fans made of colored gift paper (or elegant table napkins). We make a fan from a strip of paper and unfold it into a ring.

Christmas wreath ring

OPTION # 5

FROM FOAM.

WHERE TO GET. Foam craft rings are available at craft stores. Search your laptop for "Styrofoam ring + your city name" and you will find a store that has similar items. Or you can order with delivery from China (for example, on the Aliexpress website).

Such a ring is already ready for use. And you can think of any winding for him. For example, coniferous or fir legs (as in the photo of the Christmas wreath below). We just take branches of a living tree, or branches of an artificial tree and tie them to a wreath. So if you want to throw away the old one artificial christmas tree, do not rush - cut off good bald branches from it - they are suitable for wrapping a wreath.

And can be done on a Christmas wreath simple FLOWERS FROM FABRIC.

It is very easy. The photo below shows how to quickly make this New Year's wreath with your own hands.

We buy a wide tape, cut it into pieces of DOTS (see photo) - we get DOMBS. We squeeze each rhombus in the middle(from the sides with an obtuse angle) - rewind the compressed middle with a thread... It turns out immediately 2 petals from one rhombus.

We repeat the same with two more rhombuses- and we get three pairs of petals. We fold them to each other, so that the wrapped centers of the three rhombuses meet together (in the center of the flower) - we fix them with a thread winding so that all three midpoints tied to each other. We put a needle at the end of the thread and sew several beads to the center of the flower to hide the rough place of the flower's winding.

With the help of pins, we attach the flowers to the body of the foam ring of the wreath.

Also the foam ring can glue with NATURAL MATERIAL ... These can be inshell peanuts. They are inexpensive, we glue them on a glue gun to a foam ring (a glue gun is sold in any building department of the store, it costs 3-4 dollars). And after the peanuts are glued, we cover everything with golden paint from a spray can.

And you can also make pasting a foam New Year's wreath from SCALES. To do this, we gain more fir cones, take the pliers and pull out the scales from them. And then we spread a section of the foam wreath with a glue gun and put the scales on it (like a tile) ... then we smear a new area and put the next portion of the scales. Painstakingly, slowly - but simply.

If after making plum jam you still have bag with bones... Then he, too, can take part in the creation of a Christmas wreath.

You can go to the wood shed and collect PIECES OF BARK. Break them into pieces of equal size and also glue the ring for the New Year's wreath with them (as is done in the photo below).

And such a foam ring for a wreath can be tie with SPOKES or a HOOK. And knit a lot of many Christmas wreath applique decorations (like in the photo below).

Christmas wreath ring

OPTION # 6

FROM STRAW.

We take a bunch of straw - we wrap it with a thick thread (or thin wire). We apply to the end of the beam new bundle- and we also do the winding with threads. Again we take another bundle, apply it to the tail of the previous one (we bury it in the middle of the tail) and wind it with threads - as we work, we gradually set our straw tail in a circular direction.

We do repetitions until our curling straw tail closes into a ring. Place the closing place with straws and also rewind tightly with threads. Again we lead a spool of thread around the whole donut, and in the course of movement we put plump straws in the thin places of the wreath.

And then along the way, you can already add a green twig of a bush or spruce legs, I also fix them with the same twine.

Ring for the new year wreath

OPTION # 7

FROM THE BRANCHES.

And now the most time consuming base for a New Year's wreath. From rods. There are also several helper techniques for creating such a base from branches. And I have collected all the ways and techniques that create a Christmas wreath from twigs and branches. Let's take a look at them in order.

Wreath weaving method # 1- FROM FRESH FLOWS.

The most important thing about a twig wreath is to make it look like a perfect circle. That is, it was flattened into an oval. And it is also necessary that its thickness be uniform along the entire circumference of the ring - so that there is symmetry and harmony.

Therefore, to create a wreath correct shape need a SAMPLE CIRCLE. You should find some kind of guiding round piece that will serve as a template for the round wreath.

Here in the photo below we can see how a cut round laundry basket served as a convenient shape for quickly creating a wreath. The bottom of the basket itself keeps the twigs in the shape of a regular circle, and all you need to do is calmly and confidently put new twigs in the right places.

When the entire laying of branches over the wreath is evenly distributed, we do the dressing with threads in several places, or winding the entire wreath with thread in a spiral. And our craft can be taken out of the basket.

The same can be done with the cut-off top of the basket. Also used as a shaping stopper for wreath rods.

In this case, it also helps that all the branches have just been cut from the bush - so they are fresh and flexible. That is, they easily repeat the shape of a circle without breaking.

But what if we have only dry, stale branches at our disposal? For this, the following method of laying branches will help us.

Wreath weaving method # 2 - FROM DRY FLOWS.

If we want to lay dry, rigid branches in a circle, then this is also possible. To do this, we again need a CIRCLE PATTERN - for the styling stencil. It can be cut out of cardboard, or drawn with chalk on the floor (circle a round basin with chalk, put a round dish in the middle of the drawn circle, and also circle it with chalk). The circle pattern is ready.

Now we lay all the dry twisted branches in a chaotic mosaic within the boundaries of this sample circle. We put it until we start to like the outlines of our future New Year's wreath.

And then we tie up the key moments with threads, carefully pushing the thread between the branches, trying not to move them too much from their intended places. You can spread the thread segments in advance on the circle template, and then (after laying the branches) just raise the thread ends and tie them into knots. After that, you need to carefully raise the wreath and once again make the thread winding already in a spiral - along the entire wreath.

Wreath weaving method No. 3 - FROM SHORT TWEETS.

And if you have only short sticks and twigs at your disposal, then you can also make a wreath out of them. This will work out if, short sticks are fixed on a wire frame. Two pieces of wire (shorter and longer) and 4 sticks will help to make the frame.

We turn two pieces of wire into a ring - we get a bigger and smaller ring.

We put the smaller one in the center of the larger one and tie the sticks on four sides (perpendicular to the center).

And now we tie sticks around the entire circumference of the rings, new sticks to these sticks, and so on until we get a pretty branchy wreath-base. All that remains is to decorate it and make it an elegant New Year's.

Wreath weaving method No. 4 - FROM WOOD

Willow twigs before work need keep in water, otherwise they will dry out and not bend. We cut the rods, came home, and put them in a bucket of water with the slices down, and twisted the ends into a bucket, bent them, soaked them. Wet rods - fold perfectly (like rubber bands). And then they dry up in a wreath - and the wreath turns stale.

After drying it can be PAINTED with white gouache using a foam sponge. And paint over the unpainted cracks of the wreath with a brush (it will crawl into the inaccessible places of the wreath). So that the gouache does not stain your hands with white - we use a wreath on top with hairspray - this fixes the paint and adds shine.

If you take BIRCH BRANCHES, then they need to be soaked in very bitter water. By the same principle as a birch broom is steamed in a bath. The twigs will get hot and pliable — and you'll quickly twist them into a wreath base. Then dry and paint.

DECOR OPTIONS

for New Year's wreaths,

from branches and vines.

DECOR OPTION # 1 - dough figurines.

DECOR OPTION # 3 - spiderweb stars.

Take a look at the photo below. You can see on the wreath there are two stars cut from a thread of a cobweb. Such the cobweb is easy to make yourself.

We take a polyethylene file. Pour a puddle of PVA glue on it (it is possible with transparent glue too). We take a spool of thread of the color you want to see the future spider web star. And we begin to unwind the spool and lay the threads in a puddle of glue - in a chaotic manner. We try to lay the threads so that there are no large holes in our homemade cobweb. We leave it all to dry for a day (or overnight).

The next day, we easily separate our dried webs from the file. On top of it we put the stencil stars cut out of paper - and with scissors we cut the cobweb, repeating the contours of the star. We get beautiful decoration for the New Year's wreath.

By the same principle, you can cut spiderweb flowers for New Year's wreaths of delicate design.

DECOR OPTION # 4 - knitted snowflakes.

Everything is clear here. For those who crochet. We take. We knit. We starch the snowflake (so that it is hard and keeps its shape). We dry the starched snowflake in a flattened form - on a thick cardboard, fixed with pins in a spread.

We tie our hard starchy snowflake to the wreath.

In addition to snowflakes, bells can be tied and and starchy. You need to dry it wearing it on yogurt jars.

DECOR OPTION # 5 - felt crafts.

We buy felt. That is, wool from which yarn (thread) has not yet been made. Pour warm soapy water into a bowl. We take a piece of such wool, immerse it in a warm soapy solution and roll the ball with our hands, for 5-7 minutes, until it becomes round and hard. Dry. We make several of these wool balls. And we get the decoration that we see in the photo of the Christmas wreath below.

We make a rose using the same woolen-soapy principle. From pieces of wool we mold flat petals in soapy water different sizes... We twist and sew them into a rose.

DECOR OPTION # 6 - Balls and stars.

Here, too, everything is simple and clear. We pass the wires into the ears of the balls and fasten it to the selected twig of the wreath.

BRILLIANT STARS. Cut stars out of cardboard. The interior of the stars is also made into openwork holes. Coat the stars with glue - and dip in the shiny dressing ... Sprinkling can be purchased at the craft store. Or use a nail polish powder. Or MAKE YOURSELF. To do this, we buy a shiny fluffy Christmas tree garland and cut it finely and finely (we get a whole bunch of small shiny cuts) - cheap and effective.

DECOR OPTION # 7 - brilliant flowers.

Here on the Christmas wreath (with the photo below) we see golden flowers. They can of course be found commercially. Or you can not waste money and do it yourself. Now I'll tell you how ...

We take cotton pads. Cut out of 5 cotton pads large petals. And 5 more small petals. Now pour PVA glue into a saucer - dip each cotton petal in glue, squeeze out excess glue - fold the petals onto a plastic file to form two five-petal flowers - large and small (we bend the petals in a raised state - let it dry). We dry them all night. In the morning we take our 2 dried flowers - and connect them - we glue the small flower into the middle of the large one. Next, cover them with a brush with a thin layer of PVA glue - and sprinkle with gold sprinkle. We get such luxurious flowers for decorating a Christmas wreath. With our own hands they made beauty from cheap disks and sprinkles cut from a Christmas tree garland. Fast, simple and cheap.

DECOR OPTION # 8 - natural material.

Below we see a photo of a Christmas wreath which is used to decorate birch bark (we wrap a wreath with it like a ribbon), the stars are cut from the same bark with scissors.

Flowers roses made from the peel of corn- we roll up the corn cake into a roll, cut the parts of the roll with scissors, form the petals with our hands.

Dried fruits (dried fruits are good for compote too). And twigs of rowan or hawthorn. To prepare their bright fruits for the Christmas wreath better not to dry(they wrinkle and lose their appearance) and mummify in paraffin or wax... To do this, we melt a candle cut into pieces in a saucepan (made of wax or paraffin - buy in the hardware department of the store) - and dip the rowan or hawthorn fruits suspended by a string in hot wax. We dry on the same thread (we put a tree branch in a vase and call our bunches with fruits on it.

Home decoration for New Year and Christmas is a pleasant and joyful tradition. And one of the signs of the coming holidays is the Christmas wreath

Home decoration for New Year and Christmas is a pleasant and joyful tradition. And one of the signs of the upcoming holidays is the Christmas wreath. Its history is quite long - I think we are for this interesting topic will be back. And today, since there is not so much time left before the New Year's celebrations, I propose to talk about the practical side of the issue: how to make a Christmas wreath with your own hands

Moreover, it is not at all difficult, and what is at hand can serve as a material. And if it's hard to dwell on one idea, let's do several different decorations- for home, for giving, as a gift to friends ...

One of the most simple options: needles and balls, silver and gold - nothing else, but it looks great. To prevent the composition from looking monotonous, it is better to take different balls - matte and shiny, small and larger. They can be purchased immediately as a set, or you can rummage through your home supplies and assemble a stylish decoration from scattered Christmas tree decorations

Here, perhaps, it is worth making a small digression. Because ideas are ideas, but as soon as we make an attempt to implement any of them, the question immediately arises: how can all this be fastened together? A foundation will be required, on which then, in accordance with the creative idea, we will collect the wreath. Therefore, I propose to watch a master class in which it is described and shown in detail, from what and how you can make a blank for future decoration... As many as 3 ways - there is plenty to choose from

There are other options for bases - made of cardboard, foam, straw. About them - a little further, but for now let's get back to the ideas ...

Color creates mood. Silver, blue - "Cold" paints are the best match for the winter mood... So why not use them in your Christmas decor? For such a wreath, twigs of blue spruce are suitable, or better - artificial needles suitable shades. You can complement the design by sprinkling the needles with "snow" from a spray can

If there are no suitable coniferous branches, you can replace them with silver tinsel. Or use natural materials, covering them with suitable paint and glitter and adding Christmas decorations - as in the next video

Do you want something more "warm", sunny? Let's mix the paints! Elegant a mix of green and silver twigs, decorated with pine cones and "golden" toys looks noble and elegant. True, it will be somewhat more difficult to embody this idea, for all its external simplicity. It is important here that the golden decor does not compete with the original texture of the two-tone coniferous base, and the composition as a whole does not turn out to be too variegated and chaotic. Finding harmonious combinations is a task for a real artist

In general, a very good idea - combination of different textures and shades of greenery... Take a look at how fresh and interesting the leaves look against the background of the needles, and the golden twigs of thuja among the silvery-green spruce needles enliven the composition. But of course it would be unfinished without the bright red berry accent.

It is often found in holiday compositions and poinsettia is one of the traditional Christmas plants.

Christmas the wreath does not have to be coniferous... Using flexible branches of trees and shrubs (most often willows), straw, shoots of evergreens and similar materials, it is easy to create original decoration for home or garden. And the "gold" or "silver" paint applied to the woven base and individual decorative elements completely transforms the original material

Watch the following short video to see how to implement this idea. Even a completely inexperienced craftswoman can make a beautiful Christmas wreath from natural materials , which you can easily find in the country. And it will take a little time (which is also important in the pre-holiday bustle and hassle, you must agree)

Looks unusual a wreath of fir cones... If you wish, you can add berries, an elegant bow or other decorative elements to the composition. Some of the cones can be painted using paints in aerosol cans, or artificial "snow" can be added, but in a natural, natural version, the wreath turns out to be quite interesting. True, a lot of cones will be required, but if there is a forest near your summer cottage, there will be no problems with the material for the craft

Blotches bright scarlet berries(for example, in our conditions - mountain ash or viburnum, wild rose or hawthorn) revive the restrained composition of "natural" shades. But keep in mind: if you plan to hang such a wreath on front door your house or decorate the gate with it, make it an element of garden decor, feathered guests can significantly change your initial idea))

But in this bright wreath berries are the main element... Traditionally, holly (aka holly) is used for Christmas decor, but this is difficult for us. Juicy viburnum at home will quickly lose its attractiveness, and birds have already pecked mountain ash in many gardens, so to implement such an idea, you will have to do with imitation of berry bunches, which you can make from red beads of different sizes.

In the end, you can remove all the "superfluous" and leave only branches with berries (or their imitation)... See how such a wreath looks original - a little "disheveled", asymmetrical, but surprisingly attractive

Christmas balls are usually seen as an addition to the decor - but you can look at them differently! How do you like the idea a Christmas wreath made from just balls? Matte and shiny, of different sizes, different shades of red (and if you want, then blue or green, gold or silver) - together they make up an unusual, but very elegant decoration

If a monochromatic wreath seems boring to you, make it variegated, multi-colored... A similar idea is perfect for decorating a child's room. Only in this case, choose shatterproof balls so that the baby does not get hurt, even if the festive wreath accidentally falls (parents know: such "accidents" are common when there is a nimble toddler in the house))

How to make a practical and safe option - wreath with sisal balls, shown in detail and described in the next master class

As a matter of fact, a Christmas wreath can be made from almost anything... Any natural materials, dried flowers, scattered beads and all kinds of jewelry, tinsel and Christmas tree decorations - all this and much more can be easily turned into an unusual decoration, you just have to show your imagination.

Fans minimalism they will surely appreciate this idea - this wreath is simple, laconic, but at the same time it looks elegant and touching. All the "salt" is in a fancy interweaving of twigs, which is effective in itself, without any additions. But again, if you wish, you can develop an idea: for example, "ennoble" the material with the help of paint ...

An excellent festive option is a wreath, which is woven into electric garland... It will be especially effective if used in outdoor decor: hang it on the front door, wall of a house, gate, decorate a winter gazebo in the garden, and so on.

Reflecting in shiny balls and tinsel, the lights of the garland create an extraordinary, fabulous mood. Just do not forget: you need to place this decoration there, where it is possible to safely connect the garland to the electrical network... And it is better to think in advance about how to hide the cord going to the outlet so as not to destroy new year magic such "everyday little things" :))

And one more thing to consider: not every electric garland is suitable for outdoor use. This is a safety issue, so do not neglect these "little things".

Finally, you can weave cinnamon sticks, anise stars, small tangerines and others into the needles fragrant fruits, spices or even flowers- you will get not only a beautiful, but also a fragrant Christmas decoration. Odors can be easily intensified if suitable essential oils... Just do not overdo it so that some of the guests do not have a headache from the fragrance.

You are probably already convinced: the number of ideas is infinite, and a beautiful New Year's wreath can be made with your own hands from any available material... If the creative process has already captivated you, and you want to make as many different decorations as possible - for your home and as gifts for friends - watch the following video and be inspired by vivid examples

Well, now that the Christmas wreath is ready (and maybe not even one!), You need to find a suitable place for it. The traditional option is hang jewelry on or above the front door... You can supplement it with small Christmas trees on both sides of the porch, garlands of coniferous branches or compositions similar in style and design to a wreath

If this is too simple and usual for you, place a wreath decorated with colorful lights, on the pediment under the roof itself... By this "identification mark" guests can easily find your hospitable home on New Year's Eve

You can and on a fence or barn wall hang uncomplicated bright decoration- here's a simple and affordable way to create a festive mood for yourself and your neighbors. And feathered guests can be pleased if you use a suitable treat when creating a wreath: cones with seeds, berries, rose hips, and so on.

In the house, the wreath will be successful complement to other Christmas decorations - snowflakes, garlands or Christmas stockings hanging in anticipation of gifts from Santa Claus))

By the way, pay attention to how in this case they are inscribed in the interior, made part of the decor ordinary skis... Someone modestly hides them in the attic or in the closet - or, it turns out, you can make them part of the festive decoration of the summer cottage! You look, and on a ski trip in new year holidays rather think about it :))

A wreath can serve beautiful candlestick... Just don't forget about fire safety: candles must be securely fastened so that they do not fall in any case, and the decor elements must be placed away from the fire. And of course, you shouldn't wait for the candles to burn out completely - the risk is too great that the resinous twigs will flare up from the approaching flame.

By the way, it is with this, they say, that the the story of the christmas wreath, invented by the Lutheran Johann Hinrich Wichern. His wreath was decorated with candles (24 small red candles and 4 large white ones) and helped Vihern's pupils count the days until Christmas: one red candle was lit each day of Advent (pre-Christmas period), adding one white one on Sunday. Over time, only 4 large candles remained from the original version, (in the Catholic tradition - not white, but colored: 1 pink and 3 purple), one for every Sunday of Advent. Well, this beautiful tradition came to us and remained just an element of the festive decoration of the house.

And the wreath can also become an unusual gift and even declaration of love... Why not? New Year and Christmas is a great time for romance and happiness. And if there are not enough words to express your feelings, try to express them in a festive decor.

Everyone is knitting, embroidering, but I just could not find myself. Once leafing through the fair of craftsmen, I saw the wondrous beauty of Christmas wreaths. Of course, at first it seemed that it was very difficult, but the eyes are afraid, but the hands are doing it. So, for several months now I have been getting up and falling asleep with the thought of making something like that out of sisal.

Why is it so nice?

While the sisal balls are "unwinding", important points on the palms are massaged.

Sisal is very bright, so here's the color therapy.

Creativity itself awakens the ancient female instincts of gatherers (I found lumps there, bought nuts here, etc.))))

Here is my last joy:

My husband will not be overjoyed, if before I was constantly looking for some creams and clothes on the Internet, now we walk together in the park before going to bed in search of cones, acorns and chestnuts)))

Where to begin?

1. We buy in the "Hobby" store suitable for colors sisal fibers. There you can also buy small berries and balls on a thin wire and anything that makes you enthusiastic. A hot gun can now be found for 350 rubles (just do not take the one in Fix Price)

4. The base made of polystyrene (ring) can be bought either in a store or cut out by yourself - with scissors and a knife.

5. We wind up the sisal balls (similar to how we make plasticine balls).

6. We tie the tape to the base so that it is convenient to hang it on the door or wall.

6. All prepared components are glued with hot glue.

That's all, you can put a column-candle in the center, you can decorate a wall, a door, a fireplace, you can show off

Home decoration for New Year and Christmas is a pleasant and joyful tradition. And one of the signs of the upcoming holidays is the Christmas wreath. Its history is quite long - I think we will return to this interesting topic later. And today, since there is not so much time left before the New Year's celebrations, I propose to talk about the practical side of the issue: how to make a Christmas wreath with your own hands.

Christmas wreath is a traditional element of festive decor

Moreover, it is not at all difficult, and what is at hand can serve as a material. And if it is difficult to dwell on one idea, let's make several different decorations - for the house, for a summer residence, as a gift to friends ...

One of the simplest options: needles and balls, silver and gold - nothing else, but it looks great. To prevent the composition from looking monotonous, it is better to take different balls - matte and shiny, small and larger. They can be purchased immediately as a set, or you can rummage through your home supplies and assemble a stylish decoration from scattered Christmas tree decorations.

As many as 3 ways - there are plenty to choose from:

There are other options for bases - made of cardboard, foam, straw. About them - a little further, but for now let's get back to the ideas ...

Color creates mood. Silver, blue - "Cold" paints are the best match for the winter mood... So why not use them in your Christmas decor? For such a wreath, twigs of blue spruce are suitable, or better - artificial needles of suitable shades. You can complement the design by sprinkling the needles with "snow" from a spray can.

The decor in cold tones perfectly matches the winter mood

If there are no suitable coniferous branches, you can replace them with silver tinsel. Or use natural materials, covering them with suitable paint and glitter and adding Christmas decorations - as in the following video:

Do you want something more "warm", sunny? Let's mix the paints! Elegant a mix of green and silver twigs, decorated with pine cones and "golden" toys looks noble and elegant. True, it will be somewhat more difficult to embody this idea, for all its external simplicity. It is important here that the golden decor does not compete with the original texture of the two-tone coniferous base, and the composition as a whole does not turn out to be too variegated and chaotic. The search for harmonious combinations is a task for a true artist.

A subtle mix of green and silver twigs, complemented by warm golden details

In general, a very good idea - combination of different textures and shades of greenery... Take a look at how fresh and interesting the leaves look against the background of the needles, and the golden twigs of thuja among the silvery-green spruce needles enliven the composition. But of course it would be unfinished without the bright red berry accent.

Bright and elegant Christmas wreath with poinsettia

By the way, you can even build a whole Christmas tree from this plant -!

Christmas the wreath does not have to be coniferous... Using flexible branches of trees and shrubs (most often willows), straw, shoots of evergreens and similar materials, it is easy to create an original decoration for your home or garden. And the "gold" or "silver" paint applied to the woven base and individual decorative elements completely transforms the original material.

Even a completely inexperienced craftswoman can make a beautiful Christmas wreath from natural materials, which you can easily find in the country. And it will take a little time (which is also important in the pre-holiday bustle and hassle, you must agree). An interesting version of such a wreath with detailed instructions for its manufacture you will find in the publication.

True, a lot of cones will be required, but if there is a forest near your summer cottage, there will be no problems with the material for the craft.

If you get carried away with this idea, see also: Blotches bright scarlet berries(for example, in our conditions - mountain ash or viburnum, wild rose or hawthorn) revive the restrained composition of "natural" shades. But keep in mind: if you plan to hang such a wreath on the front door of your house or decorate the gate with it, make it an element of garden decor, feathered guests can significantly change your initial idea.

Splashes of scarlet berries enliven the restrained composition of natural shades

But in this bright wreath berries are the main element... Traditionally, they are used for Christmas decor, but this is difficult for us. Juicy viburnum at home will quickly lose its attractiveness, and birds have already pecked mountain ash in many gardens, so to implement such an idea, you will have to do with imitation of berry bunches, which you can make from red beads of different sizes.

And in this bright wreath, berries are the main element

In the end, you can remove all the "superfluous" and leave only branches with berries (or their imitation)... Look at how original such a wreath looks - a little "disheveled", asymmetrical, but surprisingly attractive:

An original wreath of twigs with berries - a little disheveled, but attractive

Christmas balls are usually seen as an addition to the decor - but you can look at them differently! How do you like the idea a Christmas wreath made from just balls? Matte and shiny, of different sizes, different shades of red (and if you want, then blue or green, gold or silver) - together they make up an unusual, but very elegant decoration.

If a monochromatic wreath seems boring to you, make it variegated, multi-colored... An idea like this would work fine. Only in this case, choose shatterproof balls so that the baby does not get hurt, even if the festive wreath accidentally falls (parents know: such "accidents" are common when there is a nimble toddler in the house).

How to make a practical and safe option - wreath with sisal balls, shown in detail and described in the following master class:

As a matter of fact, a Christmas wreath can be made from almost anything... Any natural materials, scattered beads and all kinds of jewelry, tinsel and Christmas tree decorations - all this and much more can be easily turned into an unusual decoration, you just have to show your imagination.

If there were no natural materials at hand, but it is frosty outside the window, and all the paths are covered with snow, try to make festive Christmas tree tinsel wreaths, christmas balls and satin ribbons ... As a basis, cardboard is suitable (from regular box, for example) or foam. Having looked detailed master class, presented in the next video, even a schoolboy can cope with the task.

But idea for craftswomen-needlewomen: Use scraps of brightly colored fabrics or skeins of yarn that are large beautiful buttons, elegant braid, ribbons - all these are excellent materials for creativity. How to arrange them, how to make them christmas decoration- let your imagination tell you. For example, it might look like this:

Handicraft lovers can make Christmas wreaths from yarn, buttons and shreds

Fans minimalism they will surely appreciate this idea - this wreath is simple, laconic, but at the same time it looks elegant and touching. All the "salt" is in a fancy interweaving of twigs, which is effective in itself, without any additions. But again, if you wish, you can develop an idea: for example, "ennoble" the material with the help of paint ...

By the way, if you like minimalism, do not pass by the article.

An excellent festive option is a wreath, which is woven into electric garland... It will be especially effective if used in outdoor decor: hang it on the front door, wall of a house, gate, decorate a winter gazebo in the garden, and so on.

The wreath in which the electric garland is woven looks great

Reflecting in shiny balls and tinsel, the lights of the garland create an extraordinary, fabulous mood. Just do not forget: you need to place this decoration there, where it is possible to safely connect the garland to the electrical network... And it is better to think in advance about how to hide the cord going to the outlet, so as not to destroy the New Year's magic with such "household trifles."

Flickering lights of the garland create a New Year mood

And one more thing to consider: not every electric garland is suitable for outdoor use. This is a safety issue, so do not neglect these nuances.

Finally, you can weave cinnamon sticks, anise stars, small tangerines and others into the needles fragrant fruits, spices or even flowers- you will get not only a beautiful, but also a fragrant Christmas decoration. Smells can be easily enhanced by using the right essential oils. Just do not overdo it so that some of the guests do not have a headache from the fragrance.

You can make the decoration not only beautiful, but also fragrant.

You are probably already convinced: the number of ideas is infinite, and a beautiful New Year's wreath can be made with your own hands from any available material... Here's another example:.

If the creative process has already captivated you, and you want to make as many different decorations as possible - for your home and as gifts to friends - watch the following video and be inspired by vivid examples:

And if you like the idea as a whole, but confuse the form - interesting you will find an alternative to wreaths in the publications:

How to use a Christmas wreath in your holiday decor

Well, now that the Christmas wreath is ready (and maybe not even one!), You need to find a suitable place for it. The traditional option is hang jewelry on or above the front door... You can supplement it with small Christmas trees on both sides of the porch, garlands of coniferous branches or compositions similar in style and design to a wreath

By the way, pay attention to how in this case they are inscribed in the interior, made part of the decor ordinary skis... Someone modestly hides them in the attic or in the closet - or, it turns out, you can make them part of the festive decoration of the summer cottage! You look, and on a ski trip in the New Year's holidays, you are more likely to think about it.

Even ordinary skis can become part of the New Year's interior of the summer cottage.

A wreath can serve beautiful candlestick... Just do not forget about fire safety: the candles must be securely fastened so that they do not fall in any case, and the decor elements must be placed away from the fire. And of course, you shouldn't wait for the candles to burn out completely - the risk is too great that the resinous twigs will flare up from the approaching flame.

A Christmas wreath can be a beautiful candlestick

It is fair to add that the idea of decorating a house with a Christmas wreath is not to everyone's taste. Still, this tradition is not ours, but borrowed, and for some it does not evoke the most positive associations. But is this really a problem? After all, there are so many ideas for creativity!
