Climax

Good day everyone, today we will make snowmen from different materials. I will show you how to make a beautiful paper snowman, how to make a snowman from scrap materials that are in every home. You will find on this page several master classes who will show you interesting ways make a snowman with your own hands. Many of the ideas can be done together with the children - for the next exhibition at the school at winter theme, or for a competition of children's New Year's crafts at your place of work.

And we will start our series of crafts from large snowmen. I suggest you three master classes, during which you get BIG SNOWMANS.

Master class number 1

SNOWMAN from trash bags.

In the photo below we see beautiful craftbig snowman in a smart hat. It's pretty simple job, which is easy to make yourself. Suitable for this craft white trash bags, or usual bags from the store around the corner (then we use those parts of the package where there is no color picture).

The base of the snowman is a cardboard cone... We fold a sheet of cardboard into a bag (as for seeds), fix the edge with tape or a stapler). We cut off the uneven edges of the bag with scissors so that it can stand straight and straight on the table.
Cut the white garbage bags into squares arbitrary size. The larger the squares, the deeper the snowman's fluffiness will be, and the more material consumption will be needed. You can cut into squares (3 x 3, or 4 x 4, or 5 x 5, or 6 x 6).

We prepare the glue - we heat the thermo gun with a glue stick. We wrap the square of the film around the tip of the pencil - this is how we got a bunch with a sharp center, it is convenient to apply a drop of glue on it and glue it to the base of the cone.

And we need to cover the whole cone with such beams - the pasting goes from the lower circular rows and so tier by tier we move up in a circle

Now we are making a hat for a snowman. You can make a pattern for the bottom and sidewalls and brims of the hat from cardboard and collect all these details. And you can do it easier- glue the jar of olives with pieces of cardboard.

You can make it even easier: take a jar of yogurt, glue wide cardboard hat brims to its edges and paint everything with black gouache (mixing it with liquid soap, so that it is applied well to the plastic, and then sprinkle with hairspray several times, fix the color).

Cut out the eyes and buttons from black cardboard and attach it to the snowman - it is best to glue the buttons not to the fluffy coating, but to the very base - to the cone... To do this, we attach a toothpick to each element with hot glue (as in the photo above) and glue such a button on a long leg to the cone, breaking through the fluff to the cardboard.

Master class number 2

HOW TO MAKE A SNOWMAN

from modular origami.

All of us at school are taught to fold paper modules, and then collect them with pot-bellied vases. And since we already know how to do this, then it is quite within our power to collect the BUTTY SNOWMANS. Everything is very simple here, children will help you to fold the modules - they sat down in the evening at the table by the TV and cut several sheets of office paper into rectangles and laid modules out of them. And then the next evening from these paper pieces - like from a Lego set - they assembled a snowman. A large volumetric craft is obtained.

If you are a beginner master of modular origami, then make a small snowman for a start - as in the photo above.

And if you have free time and long-term inspiration - then aim at a bigger project.

Even funny snowman Olaf from the cartoon can be made using the modular origami technique. How to work with modular origami (how to fold the module itself, and how to connect them to each other, I told in the article

Master class number 3

How to make a snowman

FROM PAPIER MACHE

on the air balloon.

Below we see a beautiful snowman big size... It is made of two balloons.

The essence is simple and clear - cover the pieces of newspaper with glue. From my own experience, I’ll say - do not do it quickly with a brush (throw out the brush) - just pour the glue into the saucer, grab a piece of paper from the saucer with our fingers with the same hand and cover the piece of newspaper with glue in a split second with the palm of your hand and immediately grab it onto the ball ... draw a new piece with a glue hand and onto the ball, and so on ...

When the whole ball is pasted over with 3-4 layers of newspaper, we leave it to dry for a day, or overnight.

With a knife we cut off the sharp part from the ball, where the tail is - we take out the rubber ball, it does not need it. And close the hole with masking tape or other.

This slice will be the BOTTOM of the snowman. And to the top big ball we fit a smaller ball - also pasted over with newspaper in advance. fasten with tape or masking tape.

We close the adhesive tape with patches from the same newspaper. And immediately from this newspaper we roll up a tight nose bag, we also wrap it with a wet newspaper in glue - so that it becomes denser. And with several layers of newspaper patches we attach the nose to the front of the snowman.

Snowman hands we also make newspapers from flagella, or from wire. We make arms in the form of twigs.

In my opinion, it is better to take a wire as a basis and secure it thoroughly. Hole through the left and right side of the snowman - so that the end of the wire comes out from the left side and from the right side. Wrap the wire with newspaper patches, form twig fingers. Cover dry with brown gouache, sprinkle with hairspray.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE white paint... You can glue the snowman over with a layer of white paper napkins (or white toilet paper) - 2-3 layers will hide the newspaper font, and the snowman will turn white.
And also you can make the finishing layer of toilet paper in the form of fringed strips. The effect will be as in the photo below.

How to make a snowman

FROM NEWSPAPER LUMPS.

You can do without balloons in our craft. We just roll the sheets of newspaper into comas. And then we glue these comas with white sheets of office paper - with PVA glue. For such work, you can buy glue not in tubes - but in a bucket, universal or construction PVA (this will be cheaper in terms of money).

And before wrapping them with white paper, it is also better to fix the wads of newspaper so that they do not unfold. For this, cling film helps to wrap suitcases at airports.

Master class number 4

How to make a snowman

FROM BOTTLES from yogurt.

Yoghurt bottles are often thick, convex and gently curved - this is suitable shape for a snowman. And milk bottles are made of white plastic - this is suitable color for a snowman.

In the photo below, we see a snowman from a milk bottle. The cap is made of a BALLOON, the edge of the balloon is cut off and put on the neck of the bottle.

And below, a round head made of a foam ball is attached to the white bottle. The cheeks and smile of a snowman are drawn on the ball, the nose and eyes are glued. The cap and scarf are made from a sock or a piece of woolen fabric.

But even IF YOU DO NOT HAVE a styrofoam ball, you can construct a snowman's head FROM A CLUB OF NEWSPAPER, wrap it with cling film so that the newspaper keeps the shape of a lump. Then fix the round lump on the top of the bottle with tape. And then THIS PATTERN of the future snowman must be pasted over with pieces of newspaper smeared with PVA glue (as we did in the second master class) and allowed to dry.

After that, paint over the dry silhouette of a snowman white (with gouache or spray paint) and decorate with clothes.

Also, two short cups from your yogurt or soft cheese can turn into a funny snowman. And as we see in the master class below, it is easy and quick to do it yourself at home, together with the children.

Master class number 5

SNOWMAN OF THREAD

do it yourself.

Here in the photo below we see a cute snowman made of thread balls. Perhaps you have already seen such crafts before at children's exhibitions, as the work of other parents. And they admired the delicate beauty of such transparent delicate snowmen.

On our site, I have already done a separate article with detailed master classes There you will find all the nuances and tips. And here I will just give an infographic in step-by-step photos showing the whole process.

How to make a snowman

from FOAM BALLS.

And now one of the fastest ways to make a snowman with your own hands. We come to the All for Creativity store and buy foam balls there (preferably two sizes - one larger, the other smaller in diameter). You can buy 2 balls, you can buy three ... or more. Look at the money - they are not expensive, the price does not bite.

Further, your task is simple - we cut the balls (cut off the tops) and collect them together with these flat cuts. It is better to attach not only to glue, but also to make a FASTENING ROD inside from an ordinary toothpick. After fastening the parts, it is better to tint the balls with paint. plaster putty or varnish or paper napkins and PVA glue. Choose a bast coating for your craft - in any case, it will come out beautifully and gently.

Some cover the snowman with glue and sprinkle it with salt - the grains of salt imitate snow (as in the photo below). Someone smears it with glue and covers it with thin pieces of cotton wool - the snowman turns out to be felt, like a felt boot.

You can do very nicely - from pine cone scratch the scales and glue them over lower part a snowman - dress him in a cone caftan. And make a hat from birch bark from birch - you get a snowman with your own hands as in the photo below.

You can do the assembly of snowman parts NOT VERTICAL, but at different angles of inclination. We cut off the tops from the balls at an angle to each other and stick the toothpicks also at an angle - and due to this, the figures are curved. Like snowmen bent over, bent - as in the photo with the craft below DANCING SNOWMANS.

The snowman can be put ON A POST - on a skewer, or on two long legs (as in the photo below). For thickening, the legs can be pasted over with a napkin with PVA glue, achieving the desired thickness and proportions.

Master class BLUNTED SNOWMAN made of halves of balls.

To make such a snowman with our own hands, we need two balls, whose diameter differs slightly from each other. One is slightly smaller than the other.
Cut off a LITTLE HALF from each ball. And we put these trimmed balls to each other in places of cut.

Cut out the details of the snowman's outfit from the formam or felt. And we attach these parts to the body of the snowman with glue from a hot gun.

We paint the scarf and hat of the snowman with patterns (with a felt-tip pen or paints).

You can make a lot of Christmas crafts out of foam balls. A whole composition on a snowy landscape with a Christmas tree made of balls and a team of snowmen. Everything is done according to the same principle - we cut off the tops of the balls and connect them at the cut.

How to assemble a snowman

from GLASSES.

If you do not regret the glue and buy 2-3 pipes with cups of 100 pieces each, then you can make a beautiful snowman. You can, of course, save these cups by taking them out of the trash can next to the office cooler (if the suppliers order white cups, then it will work for a snowman).

This snowman craft is very simple. All you do is put the cups in a circle - like in a round dance, with the bottoms towards the center. We fix everything on a drop of hot melt glue (it can be on the squares of double-sided tape, it also holds well). And then we put the cups on top of this round dance ... and again - until the dome grows (it will be half a sphere). Next, we turn the sphere upside down with the first round dance, and on it we continue to build up the second half of this sphere.

The same principle is used to make snowmen from drink bottles. The cut-off quarters of the lower part of the bottle fit into a circle in the same way - with a cut to the center, and the bottoms outward.

Snowman braided from the newspaper.

How to make a newspaper tourniquet.

If you expand a large newspaper sheet, and start twisting it diagonally into a tube, you get a strong and flexible bundle of newspaper. You can weave a snowman from such thin newspaper tubes, like people weave baskets.

Let's see how it's actually easy and simple to do. Here is a newspaper, here we roll it ON a PENCIL, so that it is convenient, a narrow tube.

To prevent the tubes from unfolding, you can fix them with a drop of glue. And make a lot of tight tubes in advance, put them in bunches, pulling them with an elastic band or string.

The beginning of weaving is 8 tubes. We put them CROSS ON CROSS in four pieces. And these four into four tubes WE WIT IN PAIRS - slip them under each other, as can be clearly seen in the photo below.

Immediately after these four tubes, we BIND the ends of this bent tube ONCE with each other (just swapped them) and threw them over the next portion of four tubes. This can be seen in the second photo below.

We repeat this WITH ALL four pipes of our crosspiece.

And we notice that the ends of our first tube have become SHORT. So it's time to lengthen them - for this, we take out TWO more tubes from our stocks and, having smeared their ends with a little glue, insert them into the short tails of our weaving. This is shown in the photo below.

After this lengthening, we push our cross beams in different directions. So that the tubes in the cross-piece BREAD OUT like rays of the sun.

And now our two elongated ends will go along all the rays, each time weaving around each of them. That is, the ends of the tube bend around the ray, while crossing, changing places.

In order for our weaving to be round - uniform, and not tightening somewhere stronger, somewhere weaker, it is better to put a jar or vase in the center of the weaving, and tighten our weaving around this shape. So we will repeat the uniform roundness of the can, and get an even braid.

You can weave the two halves of the SPHERE, then put them together into a ball (as in the photo below), or continue to weave upward, narrowing the sphere to the top of the ball.

After the newspaper snowman is ready, it is painted with spray paint from a spray can. And they decorate with eyes, nose, buttons, hat and scarf.

By the same principle, you can weave snowmen from willow twigs. Such snowmen with their own hands can decorate country cottage area, they will not be afraid of rains like a newspaper and will last for many years.

How to make a snowman

FROM WHAT IS UNDER THE HAND.

the fastest ways.

You can just buy a pack of white toilet paper. Put the rolls on top of each other. Cut out eyes, nose, mouth, hands-twigs from cardboard. Make a hat from their old woolen sock. And here he is your snowman - worth smiling. Nice, cute and big. Nice to see and not ashamed to show.

Here's another great way. Pour white coarse salt into a white sock. We tie the sock with twine at the top and twice in the middle of the sock we also do the dressings. We get a beautiful snowman. We make him a figure and physiognomy like the cartoon snowman Olaf.

Or we act even more interesting. Kneading cool, tight salty dough... Three glasses of fine salt, three glasses of flour, a couple of spoons vegetable oil, so that it does not stick to your hands - and knead the dough with water. Pour water over the eye until the dough becomes like plasticine. And then we add more flour so that it is definitely hard and firm. With tighter dough, the snowman holds its shape better.

And even if you take not wheat, but RYE FLOUR, then the snowman will definitely not settle, it will keep its shape ironically. Rye flour will give a craft Brown color... But it doesn't matter - when the craft dries to a solid state, it will simply be painted with gouache or any facade paint.

Lumps of dough can also be fixed to a pedestal from an inverted flower pot. It will turn out new craft... You can make a whole on the basis of dough and pots happy family snowmen.

You can make a very bright colorful craft in the shape of a snowman FROM BALLOONS. Just buy regular round white balls and colorful sausage balls for twisted crafts.

In order for the snowman to melt firmly on the floor, water must be added to the lower balls - they will be the center of gravity for the snowman.

And also very quickly make a snowman out of a pillow. The most simple and quick way- here only sew buttons and roll your nose out of a piece of bright orange dishcloth. Tie the neck of the pillow with any homemade scarf, put on a hat (even a simple hat, not necessarily a New Year's hat).

Felt snowmen,

How to make a snowman out of wool.

Nowadays many people are fond of wool felting. Below in the photo we see what a beautiful snowman can be made from a piece of ordinary wool for felting.

The fastest felting method is the wet method. In a bowl of warm soapy water, a ball of wool is molded like a lump of plasticine. We just ride wet wool in our hands, and roll up a tight ball. Three of these balls give us body parts for the snowman.

You can pile not necessarily spherical shapes. And not necessarily wet way... You can simply twist a piece of wool dry to the desired shape and comb it with a felting needle. It's very simple: you poke a needle into this woolen bundle, and from this it compresses itself and strays into the dense shape that you gave it when you rolled it up.

You can separate the legs and arms of the snowman - and attach them to the body with a needle comb.

Handles - twigs are made in a wet way, when the wire is wrapped in a bundle of wool and rolled on the table with wet soapy hands.

Additional items of clothing for a snowman can be made of felt or fleece.

You can make a real broom for a felt snowman from the villi of a house broom.

You can make a whole dried composition out of wool with snowmen, Christmas trees, gifts, penguins and other characters that fit the new theme.

Like these ones simple ideas how to make a snowman from a variety of materials. But we haven't said everything yet ...
This article will be continued ... because while I was writing all these letters, my hands were making and photographing new crafts with snowmen. Very soon, a link to an article with new works will work here - we will make snowmen out of paper.
In the meantime, catch the already valid links to articles about snowmen.

Happy New Year to Olga Klishevskaya, the author of this article.

Snowmen with their own hands on New Year very common as a decorative element. It is not difficult to figure out how to make a snowman out of paper, fabric, or thread, so they appear in apartments in various designs and shapes. The cute winter character brings a special touch of comfort to the atmosphere. It reminds of funny children's yard games and good cartoons.

How to make a paper snowman

Paper snowmen are lightweight. They fit into homemade garlands, sit comfortably on the branches of a Christmas tree, but can also be stable to serve as a figurine or table decoration.

Cylinder figurine

Materials (edit):

  • a sheet of white paper;
  • scraps of colored paper;
  • marker;
  • plasticine (optional);
  • glue.

The paper should be cut into three strips. The length of the workpiece sets the height of the product, and the width sets the thickness of the snowman. Each next one should be slightly shorter and narrower than the previous one. The strip is rolled into a cylinder and glued. While the mount is drying, it is convenient to fix the joints with clothespins. Three cylinders are glued together in ascending order. It is worth making sure that the smaller parts are located in the center of the larger ones.

The finished form is decorated with plasticine buttons. The eyes and mouth are drawn on the smallest cylinder with a marker or cut out of paper. Carrot nose - the orange paper triangle is glued only with the base. The loose tip gives a voluminous look to the face. Decorative items can be molded from plasticine.

Models from flat figures

Snowman balls can be formed from paper strips... About 6 blanks 1-1.5 cm thick are rolled up in rings, fixed at the ends with glue and assembled into a single structure. In this way, 2 parts are manufactured. The smaller one is decorated with eyes and a nose made of an orange cone. The junction of the two balls is decorated with a ribbon or a strip of fabric to look like a scarf.

A ball of white circles of the same size can be decorated with a flat image of a snowman's face and dressed up like the previous snowman. To assemble a ball from flat circles, you need to glue the semicircles of two parts together until the first closes with the last.

Fluffy snowman

From corrugated paper and plasticine is going to a cute fluffy model. To do this, you need to roll 2 balls of different sizes. It is better to use white plasticine; if there is a shortage, a workpiece of any color can only be coated with it. The base for large blanks can be rolled out of napkins and only wrapped with plasticine.

The paper is cut into squares with sides of 1.5-1.7 cm. A rod from a pen or any oblong narrow object is placed on the square. The corners of the part are connected and the workpiece folded in half is wrapped around the rod so that a tube is formed. The rod with the workpiece is stuck into the plasticine. The part is fixed in the ball, and a new one is rolled up on the rod. So you need to continue row after row from bottom to top until the entire snowman is covered with a fluffy layer.

Cone figurine

Cut an even circle out of a sheet of paper. A simple pencil draws 2 perpendicular lines on the wrong side. One of the resulting 4 sectors should be cut, and the edges of the cut should be overlapped and glued. One side is decorated with appliqué or drawings of the face, hands and buttons. The headdress, scarf and nose are cut out of paper. Carrots are perfectly replaced by a triangle of double-sided orange paper bent in half and glued with the top from the part. The character looks original in a cylinder, but you can also simplify the design by simply putting on a smaller cone of a different color on top. The cylinder is glued from two strips of paper and one circle.

Sock snowman

You can make a snowman from a sock with your own hands even without sewing skills. The result is a dense soft figure in a suit.

Materials (edit):

Step-by-step instruction.

Making crafts from threads

Every house has white threads. Without special shapes, you can make craft balls from them.

For the first option you need two balloons. They need to be inflated to the required size and, with the help of adhesive tape, give them a spherical shape. A needle with a white thread is threaded through the PVA tube. The needle is removed, and the thread is carefully wrapped around the ball, laying the turns crosswise so that there are no large bald spots on the surface. The second is treated in the same way. All parts are glued together and decorated according to the principle of the previous ones.

For the second option make two pom-poms. For this, two identical rings are cut out of cardboard. The thread is wound on rings. The more yarn is used, the fluffier the pompom will be. After the entire surface of the ring is hidden under several layers of winding, the tip of the scissors is pushed between the cardboard boxes and cutting of the threads begins. The parts of the template move slightly apart, and the threads in the center are tightly tied. For small pom-poms, you can use a fork.

Ready-made eyes cling to the smaller pompom for soft toys, or beads and an orange pencil lead. The finished head is sewn to a larger pompom.

Snowman made from scrap materials

For a snowman, almost everything that is unnecessary in the house is suitable, and at least remotely resembles a sphere. A burned-out light bulb can be easily turned into a snowman using gouache. The painted white glass depicts arms-branches and buttons. The base, without additional manipulations, resembles a bucket, you need to draw a face under it. The ribbon at the transition to the expanding part will replace the character's scarf.

A figurine made of cotton wool looks realistic... For work, you need a container of water and soap. In order for the cotton to be enough, it must be divided in advance into three unequal parts. The smallest is for the head, and the largest is for the bottom part. The fingers are lathered and a sphere is formed from a small piece of cotton wool. Material is added gradually until the part reaches the right size... In this technique, three pieces are rolled. The balls should be tight as a result.

The finished parts must be left to dry completely. The snowman is glued with a special gun or PVA. Hands can be made using the same technique, from wire or from two branches of a suitable size. The nose and eyes are molded from plasticine or dyed cotton wool. From unnecessary scraps of fabric, if desired, you can sew clothes for a snowman. The character has a hat and a scarf to his face.

Old shabby ball is easy to update turning him into a snowman with his hand. The toy should be painted white. Draw a smiling face on one side with a marker.

Flat snowmen

Flat snowmen successfully combine in long chains and replace garlands. The silhouettes of the characters holding hands require only small strokes to complete the look. Snowmen from two parts look original. The bottom ball is an ordinary snowflake, the top is a circle with a painted face. Snowmen are decorated with top hats, scarves and brooms. A ribbon is passed through the snowflake pattern and the figures are fixed on it.

To make it more fun for children to wait for the cherished holiday, a special hybrid of a clock and a calendar can be glued together in the form of a snowman. The outlines of the head, scarf and headdress must be cut out of thick paper. The face will serve as the dial. Instead of the traditional twelve numbers, it will need to mark 31 sectors for each day of December. The surface will adorn the painted face of the snowman, and carrot nose replaces the arrow. To do this, its wide edge must be fixed in the center with a bolt so that the rotation is carried out with light effort. The arrow must not move unauthorizedly.

Three circles of different sizes glued together form a decoration in the form of a snowman with his head up. The smallest circle is decorated with eyes and a voluminous nose sticking up. The flat silhouette of the hat is located along the edge, and the twig arms are glued opposite each other from the second part. Such a craft can also be sewn from felt.

Cartoon characters

Children like to recognize characters they know in decorative toys. Small design changes can make the craft look like a cartoon snowman. Adults will appreciate the reference to Soviet animation.

Olaf do it yourself

Olaf differs from traditional snowmen in three realms. Any method above can be adapted to make Olaf, but you need to take into account the characteristics of the physique and character of the character.

Specific traits:

  • The cartoon Olaf's arms replace the branches.
  • The snowman's balls are flattened, and the head is slightly larger than the average figure.
  • The upper segment has an elongated shape with a noticeable expansion in the cheek area.
  • A wide, large, smiling mouth takes up almost half of the face.
  • A hairstyle of three branches located close to each other is a required attribute.
  • The snowman's legs are two lumps of snow, and the costume is decorated with large black coals.

To do Olaf made of polymer clay you will need to roll two white balls. Both need to be squeezed between the fingers to make them look like a round low pouf. For the legs, you need two smaller balls. They roll on the board, to the shape of a low truncated cone. Pieces of a toothpick are inserted into the lower sphere, the legs are attached to them. From above, a toothpick is inserted for the head.

The head ball tapers with your fingers towards the poles. You should get a rhombus-like shape with rounded outlines. For the face, the rounding is flattened up slightly and a small space at the bottom and top is straightened. A sharp object outlines the hole in the mouth. The outlines stretch slightly forward. In the center of the top, two holes are pierced next to each other for the eyes and another one for the nose, just below between them.

Alternating flat circles of black and white flowers, eyes are formed. The mouth cavity is filled with black clay. Orange plasticine carrots take the place of the nose, and two flat white teeth are glued to the edge of the thickening. The hairstyle can be made from a thin cherry cut. There should be thin brown stripes above the eyes - rounded eyebrows.

When Olaf's face is ready, the head is pushed onto a toothpick. Hands-branches are inserted into the middle ball on the sides. Three black plasticine balls are glued to the structure in a vertical line in the manner of buttons. The finished figurine is baked.

Snowman Mailer differs from soyuzmultfilm by a massive belly. The transition from the chest to the ventral is smooth and weak. Distinctive features are a brand new bucket on the head and a bright red scarf. The nose is long and narrowed, and the eyes are set wide apart. Facial features are thin and medium-sized. Snowy and long hands grip a traditional broom. The character from the cartoon "When the Trees Are Lit" is similar to the Postman, but his hands are replaced by branches in mittens, and a bucket on his head is supplemented with a crack.

If you haven't found anything suitable for crafts, then it's time to do some salt dough crafts. Real sculptors definitely have a place to roam here. Well, little ones can make crafts using fingerprints.

You can get a little creative and mold a melted snowman.

Necessary materials:

  • socks (one of them must be white);

  • scissors;

  • thread, thin elastic band or rope;

  • cereal;

  • buttons different colors and sizes;

  • black beads for eyes;

  • orange felt-tip pen;

  • pieces of fabric of different colors and textures, ribbons, buttons and other decorative ornaments.

Manufacturing:

First you need to make a base for a snowman from a white long sock. Take a sock and cut it in half at the heel. We turn the upper half of the sock to the wrong side and tighten the place of the incision with an elastic band or thread, after which we turn the sock back to the front side.

As a result, we got a kind of bag, which must be filled with cereals to the very top. Any cereal can act as a filler, but rice or semolina is best suited for these purposes - they will not stand out through the sock. If desired, an aromatic mixture can be added inside the New Year's crafts. We also tie the top of the sock tightly with thread, twine or thin elastic band.

We visually determine the middle of the resulting workpiece, measure about 1 cm upwards from it and re-tie this place. The base for the snowman from the head and torso is ready.

The next step is to style the snowman's face. Sew black beads in place of the eyes. We make the nose from a bead or half of a toothpick painted orange.

The remaining half of the white sock can be used to make a hat. Cut off the heel area and turn the sock inside out. Gently tuck the sock along the cutting line and put the snowman on the head. If desired, a hat for a winter character can be made from a colored sock.

Now all that remains is to decorate the finished snowman. To do this, we make a scarf from scraps of multi-colored fabric, sew on buttons. Decorate Christmas decoration you can use any available materials: figures cut from fabric or shiny paper (hearts, stars, flowers, etc.), sequins, beads or sequins.

A snowman made can be put on a shelf or decorated with it christmas tree... Alternatively, such a snowman can be presented as a souvenir for the New or to relatives.

Snowman made of plastic cups

Necessary materials:

  • disposable plastic cups 3 packs of 100 pcs .;

  • glue;

  • stapler;

  • bright scarf;

  • cap;

  • orange paper;

  • dark fabric to create eyes and buttons.

Manufacturing:

To create a snowman, you need to make two large balls from disposable cups white... First, we start making the torso. To do this, put 25 plastic cups in a circle and fasten them together with a stapler.

We spread the second layer between the glasses of the first row, while moving them slightly inside the ball. Following this technology, we get a hemisphere, which will give the structure stability. The second row requires the same number of disposable cups, and one less for all subsequent layers. The resulting blank should be left open, as another ball will be installed on it.

The head for a snowman is made according to the same principle as the body, only the ball should be smaller. You will need 18 plastic cups to create the first row.

When the small ball is ready, we install it on the large one, fastening them together with a stapler.

It remains only to decorate the snowman. Eyes and buttons can be made from pieces of dark fabric by simply placing them inside glasses. Cut out the nose imitating a carrot from orange paper, and the mouth from red paper. We tie a bright scarf or tinsel around the snowman's neck. Inside the structure, you can put a Christmas tree garland or a floor disco ball to create a bright backlight.

Snowman made of pom poms

Necessary materials:

  • white woolen or synthetic threads;

  • cardboard;

  • compass;

  • scissors;

  • glue;

  • felt orange and black.

Manufacturing:

First, we make rings from cardboard, which will be required to create pom-poms. To make the body of the snowman, we cut out two circles of the same size (the diameter of the outer circle is 6 cm, the diameter of the inner circle is 3 cm). To make a blank for the second pompom, cut out two more circles of smaller sizes (the diameter of the outer circle is 4 cm, the diameter of the inner circle is 2 cm).

White woolen threads, folded 4-8 times, cut into 2 m lengths. We connect two cardboard rings of the same size together. Then we begin to tightly wrap the ring with woolen threads.

The ring should be wrapped with threads until the hole is closed. For convenience, you can use a crochet hook to pull the threads through the hole. The thicker the layer of winding on the ring, the more magnificent the pompom will be.

Next, cut the threads with scissors or stationery knife along the outer edge of the ring. Then we slightly move the rings away from each other and tie the threads tightly. We remove the rings and fluff the pompom, then trim the shape with scissors. Follow the same procedure to create a smaller pom-pom.

When the main parts for the snowman are ready, we connect them together by simply tying the threads from the pompons.

We make a headdress for a snowman from black felt fabric. First, cut out a circle with a diameter of 6 cm and cut off ¼ part from the center. We grease the cutting lines with glue and connect the edges.

We make a nose for a snowman from orange felt. Cut out ¼ part of a circle with a diameter of 4 cm, fold it into a cone and glue the edges.

Cut out the eyes and buttons in the form of small circles from black felt. A snowman scarf can be made from any felt fabric bright color... To do this, cut out a strip 20 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. At the ends of the strip we make a fringe.

To give the snowman from the pom-poms stability, we glue it to the base, cut out of thick cardboard.

Light bulb snowman

Necessary materials:

  • burnt out light bulb;

  • White paint;

  • brush;

  • scissors;

  • orange paper;

  • felt-tip pens;

  • glue;

  • shreds of bright fabric.

Manufacturing:

An unnecessary burned-out light bulb of a standard shape is painted with white or light blue paint. Apply a second coat of paint if necessary. If desired, the surface of the light bulb can be additionally coated with a layer of glitter. When the light bulb dries up, proceed to the design christmas toys... Cut out a small strip from a piece of brightly colored fabric that will serve as a scarf for the snowman. Cut the ends of the strip into noodles. Glue the finished scarf to the light bulb in the place where the wide part ends and the narrow one begins. Using a dark marker or felt-tip pen, draw the snowman's hands and face. Cut out the nose in the form of a carrot from orange or red paper. A DIY snowman made of a light bulb will be a wonderful decoration for a Christmas tree.

Snowman made of thread

Necessary materials:

  • thick white threads;

  • PVA glue;

  • 5 balloons;

  • needle;

  • petrolatum;

  • decorative materials (half from a kinder surprise, scraps of fabric, beads, colored paper, buttons, etc.).

Manufacturing:

Inflate Balloons- three balls of different sizes for the body and two balls of the same size for the hands of the snowman. We apply a layer of Vaseline to the balls so that in the future it will be easier to remove them from the blanks. We pierce the package with glue through the bottom part - this will allow you to evenly coat the threads with glue. We wind the threads lubricated in glue on the balls in a chaotic manner so that there are gaps that will give the product delicacy and lightness.

We leave the blanks to dry for a day, the glue should harden well. After that, we pierce the balloons with a needle and remove them through the holes of the workpiece.

Now you need to connect the resulting balls from threads to each other. We slightly squeeze the largest ball on one side and glue a smaller workpiece to this place. We do a similar procedure with a small ball. Glue the blanks for the handles on the sides of the middle ball.

A snowman made of threads is ready, it remains only to decorate New Year's craft, giving it a finished look. From any available materials, we make a snowman a scarf (made of bright fabric or Christmas tree tinsel), a carrot nose (made of colored paper or fabric), a hat (made of fabric or half of a kinder surprise), eyes and nose (made of colored paper or fabric).

A snowman made of threads will be an excellent decoration for a festive interior; you can put it on a windowsill, on a shelf, or place it next to a Christmas tree.
