At home, without much extra cost, you can do new Year costume for a child of any age. To make the chosen character look convincing, it must reflect the character of the child.

Costumes of various animals, birds and plants match the kids younger age, since they are taken into account age features. Insect costumes look very original. How to make a spider costume for the New Year with your own hands for children, best ideas and will be discussed in this article.

Do-it-yourself spider suit for a child

Before you start working on a costume, you need to have a clear idea of the character, about his characteristic features and enhance them in the details of the costume so that it is these features that attract the attention of other people. For example, when performing a Baba Yaga costume, the emphasis is on the nose, it is deliberately made very large and hooked-curved so that the face looks angry and scary.

The spider has a round body, long legs, round eyes. Based on this, the eye patterns can be made large, and an artificial roundness can be created in the abdomen by fixing any light and bulk material: cotton wool, foam rubber, unnecessary fabric.

You should start making a costume for the New Year with a preliminary preparation of patterns. If their drawings are not available, but there is only an image of a suit, you can choose a modern pattern that suits the style and take the base from it, and then use it in your work.

To imitate wool, a fabric with artificial pile is used; cotton wool dyed in different colours, as well as thin, fringed paper.

You can also use to create a costume various materials lying in the house without use. The fabric should successfully match the color and texture of the intended character.

First you need to sew a jumpsuit or choose the same tunic and trousers. The color of the fabric can be chosen by the child himself, but black or brown is still preferable.

When the main part of the costume is ready, you can safely proceed to the next step: making paws with your own hands. The spider has eight. The arms and legs of the child will act as four limbs. On the sides of the costume you need to sew the missing four paws.

Long strips of fabric are sewn together, and the resulting internal void is filled with any light, soft, dry material: cotton wool, foam rubber, pieces of fabric.

In order for the paws not to hang lifelessly, it is necessary to place frames in them, for which copper or aluminum wire is a good fit. At the ends of the paws, you need to sew on gloves or mittens of the same color as the costume. The child will wear the same gloves on his hands.

After that, you can decorate the costume and make it bright and elegant with a bright bow attached to the chest and a funny hat - a cylinder, which gives the image of a spider efficiency and seriousness.

You can make a hat with your own hands from thick cardboard by gluing a rectangular strip into a cylinder and then attaching hat brim to it, and a very nice bow will be made from corrugated or tissue paper.

Two large, round, yellow eyes with black pupils can be fixed on the hat. They can be cut out of thick fabric or cardboard. To add immediacy to the spider, you can additionally glue or sew on a rebellious bang on the hat.

In its quality, you can use bird feathers, or fabric or paper cut into thin strips. The belly area can be decorated with bright vinyl buttons or a circle of white fabric. This will make the spider costume even more elegant and colorful.

That's all. The costume of a kind, cute spider for a child is ready for the New Year. He is waiting for long-awaited gifts from Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden and good mood throughout the holiday.

An event will be especially memorable and bright, for which you need to come up with your own image and make a costume. It can be any holiday (New Year, Halloween, birthday) or just a costume party. Even adults often indulge in the pleasure of trying on their favorite roles and dressing up in beautiful costumes, if possible.

One of the universal images is the image of the hero of the most popular films, cartoons and comics - Spiderman or Spider-Man.

What is the Spiderman suit made of?

Many boys dream of becoming a superhero in the form of Spider-Man. The costume of this character is very bright and original. And although it is not exactly easy to manufacture, it is quite possible to make it yourself.

In the original, the Spiderman costume is solid all over the body and tight-fitting. Of course, it will be very difficult to make such a house on your own, in addition, it may be inconvenient for a child to dress and wear such a version of the costume. Therefore, it is often made of several parts:

  • pants or leggings of blue color(perhaps with red inserts at the bottom);
  • shoes (blue-red boots, half boots);
  • blue turtleneck with red accents;
  • red gloves;
  • hats or face masks.

Do not forget that all red parts of the costume should be decorated "under the web", plus - images of spiders can be present in the form of embroidery, patches or stickers.

How to sew a Spiderman costume

If your child is very small, then you should use a simplified version of the costume, putting the comfort of clothing for the baby in the first place.

For example, only the upper part of the suit will convey the image, and the child may be dressed in ordinary jeans and a blue T-shirt. On top of it, you can make a blue-red vest and red armlets. Sew the image of a black spider in the chest area, and either stitch the web elements on the red fabric with black thread or draw with a black marker (a silver marker is also often used). You can make an ordinary mask only for the eyes of red fabric (on an elastic band or string) and stitch it in the form of a web. For shoes, choose red sneakers, which can also be themed.

For older children, there is a reason to achieve maximum resemblance to the original. This will take a little longer.

  1. Decide if you will make a full mask for the face and head and the child, or leave the face open. Keep in mind that the fabric should be such that you can breathe normally, plus - only natural fabric will not allow your child to evaporate, which will run, jump and run in this suit for several hours. Remember both hygiene and safety (the child must be able to take off his clothes on his own, so one-piece suits with a hidden zipper somewhere on the back are undesirable).
  2. If you decide to leave the child's face open, you can crochet a red cap with an elongated back or sew a hood to the top of the costume that will fit snugly. Then it remains only to make a mask-glasses for the eyes or make the appropriate makeup. It can be closed and half of the face (up to the nose and lips).
  3. A full-fledged mask can be made both from fabric and from papier-mâché (it will be attached to an elastic band or rope). The first option is much easier. All you need to do is cut out two pieces of red fabric in the shape of a helmet (according to the shape of the child's head). You can leave your eyes open if you like. In this case, you will need to make cuts and sheathe them with black thread. More interesting is the option of closed eyes with an imitation of real Spiderman super-glasses. To do this, you will need to prepare two parts in the shape of eyes made of mesh (take white or light gray, you can use metallic colors, with very small cells). These blanks will need to be sewn to the places where the eyes will be. Sew all the details of the helmet together and paint the mask “under the web”.
  4. Now you can do the costume itself. For the bottom, you need to make blue pants (you can take any child's pants and, attaching them to the material, circle them using instead of a pattern). In order not to think about boots, make better red inserts on the bottom of the legs. That is, sew pants made of blue material a little shorter than the child's legs. Then cut out two rectangular pieces of red fabric and sew them to the legs, working all the edges. You will also need to insert an elastic band into the waistband of the pants and possibly the bottom of the legs if you want them to be gathered on the leg and not fall loose.
  5. If you chose blue pants, then you need to make red shoes. These can be one-piece sewn boots or felt boots made of fabric (usually they are worn over ordinary shoes and do not have soles). Just sew on good rubber bands so that the fabric boots do not slip. You can also make only red tops (that is, imitation boots) and wear them with soft red slippers or sneakers.
  6. The blouse is also sewn differently. The first option - you take an ordinary blue turtleneck and make a red cape with a themed decor on it (plus, you sew red gloves). It is better to draw the web on the fabric, and not on the finished product, then it turns out to be more naturalistic. The cape will be worn over a turtleneck and fastened with buttons or fasteners. Gloves, like boots, can be sewn long, or use the same imitation: make long fabric cuffs for short red gloves. To make the top of the costume without removable parts, use any child's jacket for a pattern. Make the back of the sweater with a yoke (it will be made of red fabric), and the rest of it will be made of blue. In the same way, you need to do before the blouse. We already have a drawn web, so add only the image of a spider in the center on the chest (you can embroider, sew on a finished figure, stick on, etc.). Make the sleeves also two-tone (red on top, blue on the bottom). Sew all the details.

Spiderman mask

The image of Spider-Man is liked not only by boys, but also by girls. For them, you can use the same carnival mask by the eyes, and as a costume, any red T-shirt is suitable (add only a spider or cobweb on the chest) and a blue or blue skirt (it looks very nice and is easy to make a tutu of tulle). So the real girlfriend for Spiderman is ready.

What is the dream of almost every boy? Of course, become a real superhero. Fulfilling the dream of a child is quite simple. You can buy a costume of your favorite hero in the store or make it at home with your own hands. A beginner can create an image, it will take a little time and effort, as well as a great desire to make the baby's dream come true.

Preparation of the necessary tools and materials

How to make a spiderman costume with your own hands? Before you start creating a spider-man costume, you need to decide what materials you will need for work and prepare all the tools you need to work.

For work, the needlewoman needs to choose a fabric. Knitwear is ideal, however, supplex can be used for a festive costume. It will look original and unusual due to its brilliance. If the suit will be used as home clothes or pajamas, then you should give preference to more natural materials, namely:

  • Footer.
  • Cooler.
  • Interlock.

You will also need:

  • Spool of thread to match the material.
  • Acrylic paint and brush for decoration.
  • Black marker.
  • Sewing machine.
  • Corrector or white paint.

It is desirable that the clothes are made of thin materials and do not have coarse seams. So it will be more convenient to transfer it to the prepared material in red and blue. Yes, and the product will look neater.

Details of the superhero image

In order to create a recognizable image, you need to pay attention color scheme and costume details. The Spider-Man costume is made in blue and red colors. Patterns that are applied with black paint by hand.

The colors of the outfit must be distributed correctly, the general appearance of the product depends on this. The bottom of the product to the knee should be made in blue, but the leg from the knee to the heels should be sewn from red fabric. The top of the product (jacket) must have a hood, which will subsequently be put on the child's head and create a mask. Holes for the eyes should be thought out and cut out in the mask.

It is necessary to distribute the colors in this order: the hood, shoulders, sleeves and stripes on the back and chest should be red, but part of the sleeve and side of the product should be sewn from blue fabric. The chest should be decorated with the image of a cobweb with a spider. This decoration is applied with ordinary black acrylic paint and a thin brush. A similar web pattern is also applied to all parts of the costume, which are made in red.

Cutting products

Made for a costume impossible to cut by eye. For this you need to have a suit pattern. Since the whole costume consists of a T-shirt and sweatpants, the pattern will help us make the child's things. So, we take the baby's pants and T-shirt, turn them inside out. We lay out the details on a previously prepared paper sheet and outline them along the contour. All available seams must be indicated on the product and allowances must be measured. In order for the template of the lower part of the product to be made correctly, it is necessary to turn the pants inside out, put one leg into the other, and then circle the product along the back and front.

The resulting costume details will need to be cut into elements that differ in color.

Assembly of the finished suit and processing of individual parts of the product

At the beginning of work, you need to collect the details. The assembly of the product must be carried out in the following order:

V upper part trousers must be elasticated. To do this, you need to make a twist and stitch it.

Decorating a costume with a pattern

In order to create a high-quality spider costume at home, you need to give preference to a special acrylic paint for textiles. It is securely fixed, impregnating the fibers of the fabric.

The paint must not be liquid, otherwise it will be applied in wide stripes and spread along the fibers of the fabric. The paint should be carefully diluted with water. A thin brush will help to accurately do the job.

The work on creating a web pattern must begin by creating rays for the web, after which you can draw curved jumpers between the rays. Such a course of work will allow you to apply the drawing symmetrically. In order for the paint not to show through to neighboring parts of the product, a sheet of cardboard must be placed under the canvas.

When creating a Spiderman costume for a small child, it is worth giving preference, first of all, to the comfort of the baby. For a matinee kindergarten you can use a simplified version of the costume. In this case, the main clothes of the child will be jeans and a blue T-shirt. On top of the T-shirt, you can wear a cape or vest, which is sewn at home. The cape should be made in red and blue tones. You can complete the look with red sleeves or new gloves bought in the store.

The design on the cape can be done with a black marker, and the spider patch can be purchased in advance. If there was no black marker in the house, then the web can be embroidered with ordinary threads. True, in this case, you will need to spend more time and a little more effort. But ready product will amaze you with its realism.

In addition to the image of Spider-Man, shoes should also be selected. It can also be decorated in the appropriate color scheme, or just take ready-made sneakers or red sneakers.

Do not forget about the mask, which will give the image of mystery. The mask can be made of fabric or colored cardboard. It should be attached with a rubber band. But what mask format to use for the image is up to the little hero to decide. As a rule, the mask covers:

  • All face.
  • Only eyes.

To make a Spider-Man mask out of fabric, you need to take a child’s hat from a thin material, attach it to the prepared red material, circle and cut it out. Sew the details along the side seams and turn the bottom of the product with an inlay. After that, you will need to sew on special ties that will help fix the product on the child’s head, and cut holes under the eyes. The area around the eyes should be overlocked and circled with a black marker and a white corrector for greater realism.

Attention, only TODAY!

Hello everyone. In continuation of the theme of "Spider-Man", I present to your attention an article on how you can do very realistic costume their hands.

The production of any costume begins with a sketch (a high-resolution digital drawing).

The drawing should be scaled according to the size of your body. Then print it on lycra using a special printer.

For a better implementation of the project, I turned to a professional seamstress. She cut and sewed the costume. In addition, she added hidden zippers, which made it easy to put on and take off the suit.

The suit looked like it was made from a single piece of lycra (the quality of the seams was very high). The landing was perfect.

Zippers go down the sides (from the armpit to the waist), and then back along the waist. The back of the costume opens like a valve, which is put on / taken off with the help of a complex dance :-).

Thanks to the folds of the fabric, the zippers are almost completely hidden when the snake is fastened.

A zipper along the back of the neck allows the mask to be dropped forward like a "reverse hood" for a breather or meal/water.

The frames for the eyes were formed from black onyx (a hard plastic that can be shaped into any curves after heating). The lenses were made of flexible mirror plastic with white vinyl linings.

Let's start making frames by working out a template. Then we cast the frames in black onyx and select plastic glass with one way mirrors like mirrored sunglasses. Before putting everything together, we will correct the shape of the frames with heat (without lenses).

Let's trace the frames on the paper, creating a template so that we can position the eyes and adjust the curves.

Glue the paper templates for the eyes onto the front lining. These pads are typically used to create structure under a mask and provide a base for attaching various facial features.

Using a flat sieve as a diffuser, heat each of the frames on a very low heat for 10-20 seconds until they become flexible, and then adjust the curves and position them according to the position of the templates on the front lining. We hold them until they have cooled down and retained their new shape. As soon as they have cooled, we glue the "glasses".

Using a paper template, we will determine the extra space in the frontal part, which will need to be removed for a tighter fit of the mask to the face.

cut out new template for the forehead and fold it in half to find the axial one. Then, based on the resulting template, align the eyes using the center line.

Then glue thin strips of soft packing foam onto the surface of the mask where the eyes will be located. They will act as an additional mounting surface.

We will make a “head” blank from several empty bottles, a plate and adhesive tape, to which we will attach a mask (as an option, a mannequin head is perfect).

Glue the frames to the foam with cyanoacrylate glue.

We cut holes in the lycra for the eyes so that you can see through the lenses without obstruction.

I wanted to make the web lines on the suit more visible. Due to the nature of printing on elastic fabrics, the fibers on the surface are well saturated with colors, but when the fabric is stretched, the weaves expand slightly and the colorless fibers below become more visible, and the stretched area becomes lighter. This effect emphasizes the relief areas well. But there are certain places where the lines should be clearly visible, regardless of the position of the body.

An example where a tissue sample is overstretched. The edges of the lines become less distinct and the black loses its depth.

In order to correct the situation, we use Pigma Micron capillary pens, which use cutting-edge “archival” inks. Let's draw each individual line manually. For this operation, I needed six/seven Pigma Micron 08 pens.

Let's do a trial test. Let's draw one line with a pen.

When stretched, the line remains deep black as the ink has dyed the lower few layers of fibers.

You can see that when the lines are carefully drawn, the ink shows through on the underside of the suit, ensuring that the lines don't lose pigment during stretching and movement.

From the outside it looks pretty fast. However, there are a lot of lines in the costume, so it took more than 10 hours to draw them. But it was worth it.

Let's move on to shoes! To do this, take a pair of moccasins. They have no lacing, a low profile fit and the type of sock I was looking for.

First, remove the sole from the shoes. Then remove the heels from the soles.

We put the moccasins into the “legs” of the suit, so that later we can glue the soles on the outside of the fabric.

For this task, I advise you to take heavy-duty glue (in my case, E6000).

To protect the legs from glue during gluing, wrap them in plastic bags.

Let's put on a suit. Apply glue to the cut soles and soles of the suit. Let's wait until the glue becomes sticky, then step on the soles.

We take off the suit and put rubber bands on the moccasins, after which we put them under the load. Let's leave them there for a few hours.

The last thing to deal with is the fog on the lenses. Because the suit's eyes are a solid film, they can get fogged up. A few drops of Clarity Defog on a microfiber cloth will disperse the mist.

That's all) Thank you for your attention!

With the end of October just around the corner, it's time to get your outfit ready for the upcoming holiday, Halloween! I propose to make a spider web! I will show you step by step how to make a web, and absolutely without sewing!

By the way, I want to note that the net that we will make with our own hands is universal, since it can be used both for a spider suit, putting, for example, a huge plastic spider on the back or shoulder, or for a witch costume, as in our case.

All we need to create a network:

1) two meters of fleece fabric for an adult, one, one and a half - for a child (we use fleece, as it is quite warm and durable fabric);

2) chalk for cutting or ordinary chalk for drawing on asphalt is also suitable;

3) one meter of tape;

4) sharp scissors;

5) ruler or tape measure;

6) hot glue;

7) lighter.

As you can see, nothing special, almost everything can be found in your closet!

First I want to explain why using regular chalk for drawing is much better and more convenient than using special chalk for cutting. Cutting chalk is very hard and difficult to draw on fabric, especially such as fleece. But ordinary chalk, for drawing, is much softer in structure, it can repeatedly get wet, dry, but at the same time remain soft, so I recommend using it to work with fleece, if any.

So let's get to work!

1 . First you need to decide on the length of the cape and fold the fleece in four.

2 . Mark a quarter circle with chalk.

3 . Cut out the circle. Don't worry if it doesn't come out perfectly straight as we'll still be cutting the fabric underneath.

Tip 1: To make sure you have enough fabric for your cape, you need to consider how long you want your cape to be before heading to the fabric store. To do this, place the measuring tape on the back of your neck and slide it down your back. Basically, the width of the fleece is about 55-60 centimeters wide. If you want to do without sewing, then keep in mind: the width and length of your cape should not exceed the width of the fleece, that is, 60 centimeters!

Tip 2: A tape measure can serve as a great protractor (usually not at home) when you mark your quarter circle. Just make sure the tip of the tape stays in the corner so you can make a clear arc for the cape!

4 . Fold the circle in quarters again and draw a circle for the cutout. You can use a T-shirt as a sample. We expand our circle, now it is not folded four times, in half. Draw the rest of the semicircle. If you want the cut to be smooth, then you need to cut the fabric folded in half.

5 . We draw an inclined line from one side of the semicircle to the bottom, the width of this part should be ¼ of the width of the entire cape. Then, by hand, we draw a spider grid with chalk, imitating scallops, curved upwards, along the edge of the fabric along the entire width and height.

6 . Now, with the help of sharp scissors, we cut out our network.

Tip3: As a rule, the neck circumference of a small child is about 20 centimeters, and an adult is about 30.

7 . Now that we have a symmetrical cape, we use hot glue to attach the tape along the edge of the neckline. The edges of the tape need or cover a small amount glue, or singe with a lighter.

Our network is ready!

Tip 4: If you are worried about reverse side chalk marks will be visible, don't worry! Chalk quickly crumbles from the fabric. Well, if there are a few stains left, they can be easily removed with a damp towel or sponge.

That's all, in fact! Halloween costume is ready! I wish you have fun!
