Advice: for realism, leave some edges raw and do not remove protruding threads.

Let's not forget the tail. Make it out of wire. It can be positioned in any direction and slightly twisted for realism. To secure, use strong elastic bands: if activities are planned during the celebration, the child may accidentally tear off the tail of the costume.

After the wire is fixed, wrap it with the remnants of fabric or fur. Sew the borders of the material together so that the inside of the tail is not visible. Sew the edges to the bottom of the outfit.

Headwear and mask ideas

The headdress for such an outfit can also look different.

The easiest way is to make the top of the dog on the basis of a finished hat in a dark shade: all you need to do is sew ears made of fabric or fur to it.

If you have enough fabric left at the cutting stage of the outfit, complete it with a hood made from a similar material. Sew elongated ears to the hood that will fall down.

Another option is to make a cap with ears for a child. If you do not have a ready-made headdress, use the pattern for an elegant cap.

This drawing should be scaled before printing: the length of the green line should be half the circumference of the head.

Cut out four elements A, two elements B, two elements C each from the main material and from the lining fabric, one piece D with a fold (this will be the band of the headdress) and one piece E for facing.

Now sew all the elements together. We recommend taking a denser fabric so that the headpiece keeps its shape. Sew homemade ears on the sides: you will get a cap as in the photo.

The dog's hat can be made more realistic by forming an elongated muzzle by stuffing the inside with cotton wool or padding polyester. Attach a nose and eyes to such a headdress.

If you still have time to prepare more complex details of the image, you can knit a hat. Use two or three shades of thread to make the dog's hat brighter and more elegant.

The muzzle of a dog can also be made in the form of a mask. The easiest way to make masks with painted eyes and nose: take a thick sheet of paper or cardboard and cut out the borders of the ears and cheeks. After that, decorate the workpiece - and secure it with an elastic band.

Flat masks can be printed on ready-made templates. Cut them along the borders, make holes for the eyes - and you can put them on your head. Choose mask options with images of friendly animals.

An interesting mask can be made based on cardboard disposable plate. In addition to this, you will need bright paper, glue stick, stapler, elastic band or string to secure the mask, as well as tape and a marker.

• after the first layer of paint dries, we take black color - and we begin to draw the contours of the spots on the face, gradually filling them inside;
