Snowman ( snow woman) - not only a symbol of the New Year, and winter in general, but also one of the main winter fun for children and adults, spent on fresh air. However, the material for it can be very different, not just snow.

The Bubuka portal is pleased to present you a post that explains how to make a paper Snowman with your own hands using an origami pattern.

The craft is simple and does not require any special supplies, tools or skills. Both adults and children can handle it. This is important because New Year It's a family holiday, so the whole family needs to be involved in the preparations - from kids to grandparents.

As a base, a blank, as for any other craft, for the origami Snowman we will take a square sheet of paper. As a rule, this is either white or blue paper, but you can use another color (for example, gray or blue).

Origami Snowman (diagram above), made by yourself, is ready. To make it more naturalistic and similar to the original, we make it out of paper and glue on a carrot nose, coal eyes, a bucket hat, and so on. Now you can hang it on a Christmas tree or a garland, next to other crafts.

You can decorate a postcard beautifully and originally with the help of a snowman, which can be easily and quickly made from paper. Below we will show you how to make a paper snowman using the origami technique with your own hands.

Required materials for origami snowman:

  • Square sheet of paper white
  • Black marker
  • Pencils are red and blue.

Origami snowman step by step instructions:

Fold our white square sheet diagonally.

Unfold and fold the sheet diagonally again.

Let's reveal.

Bend the top corner towards the center. Draw a fold line at the very top point.

We lift the tip of this corner up again.

Let's reveal.

Again, bend the tip of the corner to the intended fold line.

We raise the bottom line to the line,

And then bend it up again.

Turn the workpiece over.

We divide the right side into three equal parts. You can make notes with a simple pencil. The future fold line will run from the first top mark to the center fold point. We plan.

Bend along the line.

Let's do the same with the other side, where before bending the left side you need to set aside three equal distances. Now you can bend it.

We determine by eye the middle of the bent parts and make a fold in that place, bending the upper tip of the workpiece down.

Turn it over.

We lift it up and put it back, retreating 0.5-1 cm.

We get a fold.

We bend the right side towards the center fold line.

Pull the small upper corner up and make the fold even.

We do the same with the left side as with the right.

Bend the bottom corner up.

We bend the side edges into small triangles to visually show the more rounded shape of the snowman.

Then we turn the craft over and see what we got.

The snowman shape itself is ready. Just complete it with colored pencils and a marker. Decorate the snowman's hat with a blue pencil.

But with a red pencil we will draw a carrot in the middle. Draw the eyes with a black marker.

The snowman using the origami technique is ready.

Video lesson

The New Year's snowman craft can be made from any materials, not just from icy snow. Using the origami technique, it is easy to model a little snowman - a law enforcement officer in New Year's Eve. He, like a guard, will stand under the Christmas tree, greeting Father Frost and Snow Maiden with gifts.

Today, I will show you how to make an origami snowman out of paper, step-by-step instruction It’s quite simple, so it won’t be difficult for children to complete this craft. It is better to make the frame itself from single-sided red or blue paper to get a small cap on the snowman’s head. And in the future, kids will be interested in decorating the figurine by adding buttons and a bubo to the cap in the form of stones.

We will need:

  • a square sheet of red (blue) single-sided paper measuring 15 cm by 15 cm;
  • Velcro rhinestones;
  • black and red pens;
  • a piece of orange paper and scissors.

Manufacturing process:

Cut out a square of paper of the size that suits you - this is the basis for all future crafts.

Using the folding method, mark 2 diagonals in the desired square. Make a fold so that the white side remains inside. Iron one diagonal first, then unfold the paper and iron the second diagonal. Leave the resulting two-layer triangle in this position.

Turn the paper with the white side facing you. Connect one corner of the square to the center - the point of intersection of the diagonals.

Fold the lower bent corner up again, but do not open it completely, but connect it to the middle of the upper side of the triangle.

Return the corner to its original position again. Focusing on the resulting fold, bend the corner again, but only to the middle (the line of the previous fold).

Reduce the selected small segment by half by bending the tip with the corner raised up to the center.

Lift the bottom tip up again, leaving a thin strip.

Mentally or using a ruler, divide the 2 lower sides into 3 parts. If you initially used a square with a side of 15 cm, then each segment will be 5 cm long.

Focusing on one of the marked points, which is located closer to the white stripe, bend the side corner obliquely.

Fold the opposite corner symmetrically, layering the paper on top.

Press down the resulting structure with your finger. Bring the top corner down, about 1cm below the middle.

Turn the paper reverse side. Lower the lower part down again, leaving a voluminous fold in the center.

Fold the sides vertically, rounding off the side triangles created by folding with your fingers.

Lift the bottom corner up, make side bends. It is necessary to ensure that Bottom part the snowman was round, like a snowball.

Turn the workpiece again with the other side facing you. This will be front part crafts. The figurine consists of two white lumps (the upper one is smaller than the lower one). On the head is a red cap with a white trim.

Now draw a face, glue an orange paper carrot, add buttons.

If desired, add a sparkling bubo to the tip of the cap.

The origami snowman is ready.

- connect modules in different ways.
The art of origami is a mystery, and it attracts every child with incredible transformations. It's not even a trick, it's a miracle! There are many images hidden in a piece of paper. In the hands of a child, paper comes to life. How much joy, how much delight! Children experience feelings of emotional comfort, a sense of the joy of childhood, and an incomparable feeling of satisfaction from handmade crafts. Such a toy is dear to the heart, people talk to it, play with it, and keep it carefully. This art has everything that would draw a child to climb to the very top of the Ladder of Creativity and make this climb excitingly interesting.
Having examined all possible options for products from modular origami, I decided to choose the “Snowman” sketch. We liked this sketch the most. After all, the New Year is coming, and such a snowman will be a wonderful holiday gift. It will cost very little.

For work we will need:

White office paper
- two-sided colored paper
- glue
- stationery knife
- corrugated paper
- brush
- pencil
- scheme

Progress:

Step 1. Let's make triangular modules from note paper.
Stages of manufacturing a triangular module:
1.Put the rectangle on the table. Let's bend it in half.

2. Bend and straighten to outline the middle line

3.Fold the edges towards the middle.

4. Turn it over and bend the corners. (Please note: it is better to leave a small gap between the folded corner and the upper triangle).

5. Raise the edges up.

6.Fold the triangle.

The resulting module has two corners and two pockets.
Modules folded according to the above diagram can be inserted into each other different ways and receive voluminous products.
Thus, we will produce 946 white modules, 132 blue, 44 yellow.

Step 2. Let's take 34 modules for the first two circles. Let's connect them this way.

Step 3. We assemble a chain: 4 modules in the first row, 4 in the second. We immediately begin to put on the third row. We continue to assemble a chain of three rows at once. We collect 34 modules in each row.

Step 4. Close it into a ring.

Step 5. Turn the ring over, turning it slightly inside out. Let's make an increase in modules by adding 6 modules in the fourth row, i.e., instead of one module, we put two on a couple of adjacent corners.

Step 6. We continue to perform rows of 40 modules each.

Step 7. The large ball consists of 16 rows (including the first row). During assembly, the spherical shape does not immediately form. But the whole figure is quite elastic. Imagine that you are holding a clay pot in your hands. You need to plunge your fingers inside and gradually bend the walls, giving the desired shape. We will make the last row 4 modules less. To reduce it by two modules, you need to put a couple of modules on not 4, but 6 corners.

Step 8. Let's complete the first row of the head, putting on the modules at a right angle outward.

Step 9. We put on the next row as usual.
Step 10. We continue to perform rows of 36 modules.

Step 11. Let's complete 9 rows (including the first). Let's form a ball. The base for the snowman is ready.

Step 12 Let's make hands, a mouth and eyebrows. Draw on paper and cut out. The nose is a cone made of colored paper.

Step 13. To make a hat, we will assemble 3 rows of 22 modules, close them in a ring and turn them inside out.

In total, the cap consists of 8 rows. We put it on a snowman and add details as you wish.
