Quilling paintings - master class

How to make a picture using the quilling technique with your own hands

A bright and cheerful picture, made by hand using the quilling technique, will decorate any home. This cute composition will surprise, please and, of course, will be a wonderful handmade gift.

To make a flower arrangement you will need:

  • multicolored set paper strips approx 3mm wide, 10mm wide and 50cm long;
  • colored cardboard measuring 15x20cm;
  • a fragment of beige textured paper (in this version, non-woven thick wallpaper was used);
  • green paper;
  • stationery knife;
  • ruler;
  • tassel;
  • scissors;
  • PVA glue for paper;
  • blue beads;
  • shiny powder of red and silver colors;
  • toothpick;
  • picture frame.

Stages and method of performing work on the manufacture of a picture

To make a red gerbera, it is necessary to glue together white and red strips, 25 cm each. You will get one strip 50 cm long.

Then, using a toothpick or a special quilling tool, twist them into rolls with a diameter of 13-14mm with a red stripe inside.

Using tweezers, shape the spiral into a petal shape. You should end up with 12 red and white petals.

According to a similar scheme, twist spirals with a diameter of 9mm (13 pieces) and 7mm (10 pieces) from red stripes. Also squeeze on both sides to get red petals of different sizes.

Then cut out a circle with a diameter of 4 cm from the paper. Inside it, draw a circle with a diameter of about 15mm. This will be the border of the core of the gerbera. To the center of the circle, make an incision, with which we will form a small cone for further attaching the flower to the picture.

Quilling flower pattern master class

Glue large petals on the inside of the cone. Let dry.

WITH reverse side in a checkerboard pattern, slightly retreating from the edge, glue the middle petals.

While the blank for the quilling painting is drying, you can start making the core. To do this, glue a black stripe 3mm wide and 15cm long and a peach stripe 10mm wide and 20cm long. In the latter, make cuts along the entire length.

Twist the core, fix the end with glue.

Then glue the small petals first, and then put the straightened middle on and firmly drown it inside the flower.

In a similar way, make the rest of the gerberas.

To make flower buds, it is necessary to twist into tight rolls and glue strips of green and light green shades.

Then, using a thin stick or pencil, shape the rolls into a bowl shape.

Inside each bud, coat with an even layer of glue and allow to dry.

We make a picture using the quilling technique

Insert three petals into the bud and a thin core made from a strip 7-8 cm long.

There are two types in this composition. The first twist from two green stripes of different shades. Then gently evenly stretch the spiral to a diameter of 3-4 cm.

Press with fingers on both sides. So make the rest of the leaves.

Quilling - flowers for the picture

The leaves of the second type are made of ordinary colored paper. Better if it is double sided. Fold the paper in half, cut out a leaf with notches symmetrically.

Then fold again and fold several times with an "accordion".

Unfold the blanks, straighten them a little. Thus, make 4 leaves.

Now, when the main elements of the composition are made, let's start forming the background of our picture. Glue a beige rectangular fragment on top of the colors. To make it look aesthetically pleasing, it is better to cut the background with a clerical knife, and not with scissors.

Before fixing the flowers, the petals can be decorated with glitter. So that it does not crumble, you need to apply a PVA solution on the tips in half with water. And on top with a dry brush, apply powder.

Glue the gerberas, slightly stepping back from the center.

First, attach one sheet to the flowers.

And then others.

Insert the buds inside the leaves. Inside one of them, you can glue stamens from beads.

Arbitrarily glue curly branches. They are also made from twisted but well-spread 15cm long strips.

Quilling - a picture of flowers

And at the end, glue the remaining leaves under.

Let the composition dry for 3-4 hours.

Quilling is a word few people know. And it means the manufacture of figures from strips of paper twisted into spirals. Is it really that simple and easy to do? The variety of options will surprise you.

Next, I will tell you how to create beautiful things from plain paper. This type of activity will help you brighten up long winter evenings either do beautiful thing with your own hands and give to your loved one. Or maybe after my lessons, it will become a hobby for you and will even bring a small income.

But in order to understand what it is, to find out who invented it, let's plunge into the history of quilling.

A bit of history

This art form was invented by monks in Europe in the Middle Ages. When they cut the edges of the gilded books and wound them around the ends of bird feathers. Thus, something like a golden miniature was obtained.

Hence the name quilling. From English word“quill”, which translates as “bird feather”. At the very beginning, this was done in poor churches, especially in the 19th century, quilling was a favorite pastime of noble ladies.

In the twentieth century, it was forgotten. And at the end of the last century, quilling began to return to people's homes as a hobby.

As a result of his festivities around the world, their own schools began to form in each country. And each nation brought something of its own to this art form. For example, Eastern schools differ from European ones in the complexity of patterns, which allows Eastern people to create masterpieces of art.

And the Korean school differs from the European one in that the core is not used when winding the paper, and everything is done manually. The work of the Korean school is very complex. In our country, this art became popular at the end of the twentieth century.

Therefore, few of us know this art form thoroughly. I will introduce you to the basics of this art form, give advice, give examples and try to give you all my knowledge. Let's start with the basics.

But before you start doing this kind of creativity, you need to prepare. That is to buy necessary tools for work.

List of required tools

Below I have given a list of must-have tools if we want to create all sorts of beauty out of paper.

You can not spend money on buying quilling kits. And to make the necessary tools from household appliances.

For this, ordinary female nail scissors with straight ends, an awl or a toothpick are suitable. Between the two ends of the scissors, you need to put a long strip of paper, gently squeeze it so as not to cut it and wind it up. With an awl and a toothpick, they act a little differently: put the edge of the paper on the end of the awl and hold it with a finger, and with the other hand the rest of the strip is wound onto it.

Now, knowing and keeping the tools that we need next to us, we can move on to learning the basics of quilling.

Quilling Basics for Beginners

The production of paper products begins with a drawing. In this form of art, the drawing is a scheme according to which in the future it will be made unusual craft, which can bring a bit of brightness and unforgettableness to your interior. First, let's look at how to draw simple circuits and which ones are obtained magic crafts on the example of making a snowflake.

We will need:

  • Pencil.
  • Colored paper.
  • Scissors.

Now we take A4 paper and fold the sheet so that we get a right triangle. Cut off the unnecessary excess part and fold it three times. Then we draw patterns on it and cut them out.

When we have mastered the initial and simple technique for making crafts, which we discussed above, we move on to more complex ones. Let's learn how to roll. It is the main element in the quilling technique.

We will need:

  • Colored paper.
  • Pencil.
  • PVA glue.
  • Scissors.

Roll making rod

At the very beginning, it is necessary to outline with a pencil the future composition on the blank for a greeting card or the place where this product will be located upon completion. The next thing we need is to make a roll. To do this, we need to take a thin and long strip of paper and wind it onto a specially prepared rod.

After what has been done, we must let the roll bloom. The end of the roll must be carefully glued to the spiral that turned out. Now you can give the roll any look, be it a drop, a heart or a month.

Advice

In order not to get smeared in glue, it is necessary to apply it to the details of the product quite a bit. This can be done with a toothpick.

for sale special paper for quilling. Use it better.

And so we got to the main elements of quilling.

Essential elements

Now let's look at what parts the creations in quilling consist of. Every job starts with tight spiral. This is the first element in quilling when preparing a product.

Above, when we made the roll, in fact, we used this element. But then we did not yet know its true name. Now we know it.

Once again, repeat the process of creating a tight spiral. A rod is taken, a strip of narrow paper is wound onto it. And the tip of the latter is carefully glued to the spiral.

For your information

  • If you are right-handed, hold the strip with your left hand and the rod with your right.
  • If the strip is double-sided, then its back part should look towards the rod.
  • The rod must be rotated clockwise.

The next element is the "free helix". It is made in the same way as a "tight spiral". But after we have finished winding it, we need to remove the spiral from the rod and let it unwind a little.

Now we have learned how to create various kinds of spirals. The same technology is used to create a “curl” figure. But at the end of the work, the tip of the paper tape does not stick and hangs freely in the air.

In order to make a drop, you need to squeeze one part of the “free spiral” shape with your fingers and hold for a few seconds. This is done so that the figure takes the form of a drop. You can also bend the tip of the “drop” shape, getting a slightly different “curved drop” element.

Advice

If you are just starting to learn quilling - never rush!

Well, we have considered simple forms of quilling. Now it's time to move on to more complex ones. Such forms are obtained from two or more put together.

Complex shapes in quilling

The complex element "horns" is created from two "free spirals" twisted in different directions.

For him, a long strip of paper is taken and broken in half. The right side is twisted in one direction, the left - in the opposite direction. Such an element can be attached to a fun greeting card.

The next shape will be a "heart".

It is done in exactly the same way as the "horns". Only the directions in which the spirals are wound change. And the junction is clamped with fingers. This type of product is ideal for decorating a gift for your girlfriend or wife.

The next in difficulty will be the "crescent".

It is made from a simple "eye" shape, only the opposite corners are bent up. It turns out something similar to the letter "C". For the form, which in psychology denotes a leader, namely for a triangle, a “free spiral” is taken. Then it is compressed in three parts with the fingers and held for a while.

The next element is obtained from the shape of a triangle.

To do this, bend two opposite sides to the center. And we get "paws". To make a "square" shape, I take a "free spiral". Then I compress it in four parts, so that I get a square.

So we got acquainted with the main forms of products in quilling. And now we know what tools we need for this kind of creativity. And we have some base that will allow us to move on to the creation of more complex products.

Quilling flowers

Such flowers will serve as a kind of transition from simple to complex for a novice quilling master. In fact, this is not the most complex product, but it contains many simple elements that complicate the manufacture of the product. Thus, the novice creator receives invaluable experience and beauty in his home, made with his own hands.

To create such flowers, you need to make a “drop” from a “free spiral”. And in order for the flower petals to have a different color, you will need colored paper.

As you can see, the core of the flower is created from a "free spiral". Next, the core of the flower is first glued to the card or the surface that you are planning to decorate. Around this figure, I glue the "drops" that I already made in advance.

At the very beginning, you need to draw a template according to which they will be made. It is necessary to divide the strips of paper in half. There should be three. Then I twist the first spiral. Then I insert it into the hole in the stencil. It is necessary to make the remaining spirals the same in size. Therefore, I find out that the hole is one centimeter, which means that the other four spirals will be the same size.

In order not to damage the workpiece, I pull it out carefully and with a toothpick, and then let it unwind a little. And only after that I glue the tip to the spiral. Then I place these blanks in the center of the layout drawn in advance.

For beginners, it is advisable to use pins to attach the spirals to the layout. And then they can be glued.

Now we have learned how to make complex snowflakes. The next step will be the manufacture of decorative jewelry in the form of lovely ladies' earrings. They are perfect for a birthday present for your girlfriend.

Making women's earrings

To create such a piece of jewelry, much loved by our women, we need:

  • Colored paper. I will have blue and white.
  • Scissors.
  • Quilling rod.
  • Board for quilling.
  • PVA glue.
  • Pencil.

At the very beginning, in order for such jewelry to turn out symmetrical, I will have to imagine what the earrings will look like and draw a diagram on paper. This diagram will serve as a template for gluing the various parts together.

Step-by-step instruction

  • I cut out six strips of one centimeter wide from blue paper and glue them together.
  • Three strips of white paper and glued to the end of the resulting ribbon of blue stripes. And I also add three strips of blue paper glued together. I do this twice to make two long ribbons.
  • Then, with the help of a rod, I turn them into a “tight spiral” shape. We discussed the creation of this form at the very beginning.
  • I again make the same tapes, only I cut the strips into two. That is, instead of six strips, I cut out four from blue paper, I also leave three from white paper and glue them together, adding two strips and blue paper at the end.
  • With the help of the rod, I also turn this tape into a "tight spiral". Only now it turned out to be smaller than the first. And I create another such spiral.

Take your time, this technique does not like being in a hurry.

Step-by-step instruction

  • And for the third time, I do the same with the paper as I did the first two times, only I reduce the number of strips of the first blue ribbons to two.
  • Again, I turn the created tape into a “tight spiral”. Like the first time, I will need two of these spirals. You have probably already guessed why I needed paired forms of quilling. Of course, because there should be two ladies' earrings! Now I lay out the prepared forms on the previously created template and glue them together.
  • Lastly, I cut out a few more strips of blue paper, glue them together and twist them with a rod. But now I turn the shape not from a “tight spiral”, but into a “loose spiral” and pinch it around the edges with my fingers and stretch it slightly to get the “eye” shape.
  • I make four of these types of figures. Two for each earring and stick according to the template.
  • The final step will be threading the ring from the fastener through the holes in the shape of "eyes". The picture below shows what an excellent beauty I got.

So we learned how to create complex and beautiful ladies' jewelry. Let's now try to make an unusual quilling flower.

Making an unusual flower

Now we come to more serious things. I will tell you and show you how to make volumetric quilling flower. To do this, you need to purchase or get tools already prepared in advance, namely:

Step-by-step instruction

  • I take a sheet of white paper and divide it into strips three centimeters wide. Then I cut them and glue the strips one by one along the length. The result is one long ribbon.
  • Now we need to color it. Apply paint to the sponge with a pipette. We apply yellow ink on one half of the sponge, red paint on the other half.
  • Then, with the help of a sponge, we color our prepared long ribbon of white paper. And after the paint dries on the paper tape, cut out the pattern using curly scissors. What should work can be seen in the picture.
  • Now let's move on to creating the petals for our flower. They must be cut so that both the petals and the corners sticking out between them. In this case, you need to leave four millimeters at the edge undercut so that the tape does not tear. As shown in the picture below.
  • Then I make the core for the flower. To do this, I twist a strip of quilling paper into a tight spiral. The diameter of the roll should match the diameter of the pencil.

If the diameter is smaller, then you can safely add another tape.

Glue should only be applied to the uncut edge!

Step-by-step instruction

  • The next step in creating a flower will be glueing the dyed ribbon with glue from the side of the paint application.
  • Then I glue the flower petals with the core, as shown in the figure.
  • After the flower is twisted, it is necessary to glue its bottom with PVA glue to make sure that it will not fall apart in the future.
  • Now I remove the flower from the rod and straighten its edges with my fingers. In the end, this is what a miracle happened.
  • Of course, at your discretion - you can straighten the edges, or you can not. I straightened them in order to insert a “pestle” there, and thereby make the flower look more like a real one.
  • I cut off part of the sharpened pencil, smear the cut part with glue and insert it into the center of the flower. That's what we get!

Any of these products can decorate postcards for the first school day of the year, please the child with its beauty and unusualness.

Before that, we considered the quilling technique for adults. But you can also involve children in this needlework. Thus, they will develop breadth and originality of thinking.

Quilling for kids

According to psychologists and pediatricians, today's children have poorly developed hand and finger motor skills. For them, it is difficult to hold a pen or pencil correctly and firmly enough in their hand.

Therefore, it is difficult for them to learn standard skills and simple self-service in life. Quilling for children contributes to the development of motor skills of this type. At the same time, it raises the level of logical thinking.

The development of fine motor skills helps to increase attention and memory in a child. All this will be extremely necessary for him in his future life, and the quilling technique can be very helpful in this.

It also helps to cultivate perseverance, accuracy, aesthetics of taste in a child. Of course, you need to start with simple things.

Master class for children - ladybug

For creating ladybug we will need the following materials:

  • Sheet of cardboard.
  • Colored paper.
  • Spinning rod.
  • PVA glue.
  • Scissors.

Step-by-step instruction

  • At the very beginning, I cut out the body of a ladybug from cardboard - a semicircular oval. Then from a sheet of red colored paper I make an oval in the shape of the body and lower part cut as shown in the picture.
  • Now I am preparing the bottom part of a light yellow sheet and glue it on cardboard. Then I take and cut out a long black strip and glue it in the center of the cardboard.
  • When the oval of the body for the "ladybug" is ready, you can proceed to the "paper rolling". Of the "free spirals" will consist of black dots on the body of a ladybug. Then I glue these created forms to the cardboard.

What is quilling, what is needed for this skill and the technique of hand crafts. Not intricate quilling diagrams, 29 photos and videos on creating shapes.

Quilling originated in the 14th century, now it is experiencing another birth. Many are attracted by the fact that such beauty can be created with your own hands from paper strips.

Quilling for beginners - what you need to prepare

For those who have never been engaged in such creativity, it is better to start with simple crafts. It can be:

  • postcards;
  • snowflakes;
  • flowers;
  • panel;
  • images.

They will tell you how to make crafts using the quilling technique for beginners. Below are the main figures that are used to create real works of fine art. First you need to prepare everything you need for this type of creativity.

If you have the opportunity to buy a quilling kit, get it. The basic kit includes:
  • strips of colored paper;
  • a template with a coordinate grid applied to it, radii, guides;
  • a device with a forked metal tip, with which paper tapes are twisted;
  • glue;
  • small scissors;
  • tweezers.
Larger quilling kits are also available for sale. Here is a ruler with round holes to make twisted elements along it. right size; pins for rough fastening parts. Ready-made kits are also sold, in which there is a diagram, blanks in order to make flowers, a butterfly, a picture, and so on.

If you do not have the opportunity to buy a ready-made set, this should not stop those who want to create. In quilling tools for twisting the ribbon, you can turn:

  • manicure scissors with straight ends;
  • awl;
  • kernel;
  • gypsy needle;
  • toothpick.

Cut off the sharp part of the toothpick, and split the resulting tip with stationery knife. You will insert the edge of the paper tape into this hole and twist it.

When using nail scissors, paper strips are placed between two blades. Further, the tape is wrapped around this tool and a spiral of the desired size is obtained.

When using an awl and a gypsy needle, the edge of the strip is superimposed on the metal part, held with two fingers free hand and twists. They also work with a rod, but in this case the core of the workpiece may turn out to be larger than necessary, then any of the four tools listed above are used.

Strips of quilling paper can also be replaced. To do this, cut them out of white or colored double-sided paper.

Quilling patterns

A detailed description of the manufacture of various elements of this needlework will help you create real masterpieces over time.

The main elements of quilling are:

  • tight and loose spiral;
  • curl;
  • drop and curved drop;
  • semicircle;
  • eye;
  • arrow;
  • sheet;
  • heart;
  • triangle;
  • crescent;
  • square;
  • foot;
  • horns.
Almost all work begins with the manufacture of a "tight spiral". Take a strip of quilling paper. If there is no such material, then lay a sheet of A4 paper horizontally in front of you, moving the scissors from the bottom up, cut off a strip equal in width to 3-5 mm. Fix its tip between the blades of nail scissors, in the slot of a toothpick or a special quilling tool.

You need to hold the paper tape with your left hand, and the tool with your right. If your strip is double-sided, then its wrong side should look towards the rod. Rotate the tool clockwise, and with the fingers of your left hand, hold the spiral beginning to form from above and below so that the curls are even and at the same level.

When the tape is over, put a little glue on its free end and attach it to the spiral so that it does not unwind and the workpiece looks neat. So you made one of the main figures of quilling. Many others are based on this element. Those who are better with the left hand need to carry out this process in a mirror image.

The next element is called a "free spiral", make it from the figure you just received. To do this, remove the spiral from the needle, let it unwind a little. You can do it differently - do not let go of the fingers of your left hand, but slightly rotate them in the center of this quilling element, and the spiral will weaken.

To make a “curl”, you do not need to glue the free end of the twisted tape to the spiral. To make a “drop”, it is necessary to squeeze the “free spiral” on one side with your fingers for a few seconds. A “curved drop” will turn out if you bend the corner of the “drop”.

The element called "eye" is also easy to make. To do this, the “free spiral” needs to be slightly pulled to the sides and clamped from two opposite sides, then released. The “leaf” figure will turn out if the corners of the “eye” are bent, one to the right, the second to the left. To make a "semicircle", take a free spiral, press it so that the top side becomes rounded and the bottom side is even.

It clearly shows how elements are made using the photo quilling technique. Looking at it, you will understand how to create an "arrow". To do this, press with your fingers on 3 sides of the spiral to make a triangle, now press two of its corners to each other, leave the third one as it was.

To do greeting card using the quilling technique, you can decorate it with an element called "horns". To do this, you need to take a long paper tape, bend it in half, wind the right side in the form of a spiral clockwise, and the left side counterclockwise.

The “heart” shape is made in the same way, only the right half of the tape is wound counterclockwise, and the left half is wound clockwise. The junction of these two elements must be clamped with your fingers to get the corner of the heart.

The "crescent" is made from the "eye", its 2 opposite corners are bent in the form of the letter "C". A "triangle" will turn out when the "free spiral" is compressed in three places, and to make a "square" this must be done from 4 sides.

For the “foot”, you need to make a “triangle” figure, and then bend its two opposite sides to the center with your finger.

How flowers are made using quilling technique

Now that you know how to make the basic elements for this kind of creativity, you can start the fun process and create original postcards. If you want to decorate them with such colors, then make a “drop” shape from the “free spiral”. To make the petals multi-colored, use quilling paper of different colors. The middle of the flower will come out of the "free spiral" figure.

Drop glue on a postcard or cardboard, attach a “free spiral” here. Also, with the help of glue, fix a few petals around it. The stem is glued in the same way. For it, take a strip of green paper. The middle leaf, as you can see, is made from the "drop" shape, and the upper and lower leaves are made from the "eye" elements. After the glue dries, the work is completed.

You can make other postcards using the quilling technique. For beginners, another simple option is offered.

As you can see, the center of the flowers is a "free spiral". The petals are made from the same element, but in a different shade. Decorate the card with a "heart" element, as well as an "eye" figure. A beautiful creation will be appreciated by the one to whom you present such a gift.

How snowflakes are made using quilling technique

For the New Year, you can make a snowflake. For her you will need:
  • quilling paper;
  • stencil;
  • tailor's pins;
  • glue gun or PVA;
  • quilling tool.
Cut 3 paper strips in half, you will need 5 pieces. Insert the tip of the first one into the hole of the quilling tool, twist the tape tightly. Remove it and insert it into the hole in the stencil. Let's say it is 10 mm. This is the diameter you will have the first blank. Make the next 4 elements the same size.

To remove the spiral from the stencil, pick it up in the center with a toothpick and remove it by pressing the workpiece with your finger. Let it unwind a little, glue the tip. You have a "free spiral". Place all 5 blanks in the center of the template, it will be easy to align them with it.

If beginners make a snowflake using the quilling technique, then it is better to attach the elements to the template with a pin, and then glue them together. Then the details will be arranged as needed.

As you can see in the photo, 10 “eye” details are located around the five “free spiral” elements. Make them and glue them together and with the central parts of the snowflake.

The next 5 parts of the “free spiral” are made from solid strips, so they will turn out to be 2 times larger than similar snowflakes glued in the center. A stencil will also help to achieve their evenness. Use a hole with a diameter of 2 cm. After gluing the tip to the spiral, let it unwind and attach each such blank to the previous row of parts.

So that the "free spiral" in the snowflake does not unwind, direct the center of the spiral to its edge, press it. You can apply a little glue here so that the middle of the workpiece has shifted to the edge.

As you can see, the “tight spiral” completes the production of the attribute of winter and the New Year. You need 5 of these elements made using a stencil. Glue them in place. If you will be hanging a snowflake, run a strong thread through the center of one "tight spiral" and bring it out through the middle of another. Tie it in a bow and hang it on the Christmas tree or on the wall.

Exists a large number of various types of needlework. Many of them begin their history in countries of the distant past, some arose not so long ago, for example, in the last century, and some popular types of needlework originate at this stage in world history, responding to the needs of modern needlewomen and modern fashion. It is also of great importance in the growing popularity of certain types of needlework. V Lately The following handicrafts are popular: embroidery (mulina and woolen threads, beads, crystals, knotted embroidery), quilling, trimming (working with paper), felting from wool, sewing toys, plastic modeling and others. Such an applied hobby will be useful not only for adults who want to enjoy their free time, but also for children in order to introduce them to art and develop fine motor skills of their fingers.

Such applied art as quilling is now gaining momentum in popularity due to its colorfulness and fascination. It is suitable for both adults and children, provided that they are assisted by adults. In the quilling technique, paintings of various subjects can be created.

It can be a painting whose style reflects themes:

  • Nature;
  • Season of the year;
  • Animals, etc.

To begin with, let's look at what quilling is: this is one of the types of handicraft, which is the creation of paintings from thin stripes paper, by twisting and giving paper circles of various shapes.

Many people call quilling paper filigree, because such paintings look no less beautiful than classic filigree in jewelry.

This art has been around for many years. The first mention of it varies from the 14th to the 15th century, and it was common in monastic circles based on various monasteries. The monks created ornate paper decorations. All this was explained by the fact that ordinary people could not afford such an expensive material at that time as paper, which is now available to almost everyone.

Quilling paintings are popular due to their delicate beauty, which is more like the finest lace, but has a pleasant volume than the usual classic thread lace. There are a wide variety of instructional videos available. Any such video master class will help people who are starting to master quilling, get acquainted with all the basic techniques, any subtleties of this manual labor, as well as, famous masters quilling often share their secrets that will help in subsequent independent work with paper strips.

Paintings in quilling technique: what is needed for work

    • Step 2. Next is the preparation of the tubes, as described above. By the way, you can not compress them. Then you get closed, round spirals. Or, on the contrary, you can close the skein from two sides, getting something that looks like an eye.

Advice! Use one or both options at your discretion.
