Do-it-yourself gnome Christmas tree decoration. DIY cute gnomes for the new year. Dwarf from an old jumper

Cytomegalovirus

For some reason, the onset of winter holidays is personified not only by Santa Claus and Snegurochka, but also by these funny little men.

New Year's gnomes, from whatever, no matter how they are made, will undoubtedly decorate our house, give a good holiday mood, serve as a decoration for the Christmas tree.

How to make gnomes with your own hands? What are they made of?

  • Felted (wool for felting)
  • Knitted (yarn, artificial fur, wooden balls for the head, pens)
  • Sewn (fabric, felt)
  • From natural materials(straw, branches, cones)
  • wooden (knots, logs, paint)

This is not the only gnome, here I will show a whole selection of New Year's figures, what they can be, fabulous people. If someone wants to make such, then here you can get ideas on how to do it.

First, I will give examples of gnome figurines made with a needle and thread (sewn), felted from wool, with knitting elements, using leftovers, scraps of fur.

Then there are things that are more difficult for women, which are more suitable for men. Probably, you can ask the male half to prepare blanks, and the weaker sex can paint. But more on that later, at the end.

Do-it-yourself gnomes - crafts for the New Year

For lovers of knitting, I suggest tiny knitted new year gnomes in red knitted hats.

The handles and the body, as well as the face, can be sewn from old thin knitwear or use wooden balls of different diameters for this if they are accidentally lying around in your house.

Such tiny bearded men in red caps are sold at our Christmas markets for 2 euros 50 cents.

This, of course, is not a lot of money, but it is much more interesting to make such (or even better!) With your own hands, we will apply the materials that are already there.

Another option is for those who are felting wool. These gnomes are entirely felted, with the exception of the beard she joins at the end. It is not necessary to completely copy. A small piece of faux or even natural fur with a long pile is fine.

This gnome has been worked out in more detail, everything is as it should be, and winter clothes, even buttons!

The felt caps are sewn and then decorated with a needle with thick red thread. The beard is also furry (just glue in a semicircle). Hands and feet can not be done, and so it is clear who it is. Lightweight figures will serve Christmas decorations, if you attach a thread for hanging to the tip of the cap as in the photo.

By the coming of Christmas, New Year, we in Germany colorfully decorate shop windows - they are trying with all their might to attract potential buyers.

I found the gnomes in the photo below on one such showcase.

There is even less work here - we will not do the face at all (we care even less!), Except that the nose should stick out from under the long cap. It's cold for them in winter, so they hid, pulling warm hats deeper!

It's easy to make such little people. Felting or sewing felt. We put individual parts (if it is not a felted figure) on glue.

Put a bag with "gifts" next to it. Such figures can be put on a windowsill, under a Christmas tree, on a shelf, a table, where they can be clearly seen by everyone.

Another Christmas tree for them to sew a toy - then a festive mood is guaranteed.

It doesn't matter what color of materials you have, take what you have, it will turn out great! Look, one New Year's gnome went with a red outfit, another - a light brown one. Of course, bright clothes look more fun.

At New Year's markets from the beginning of December (from the first to the fourth advent) we sell a lot of products self made, there is something to see, something to learn, to adopt new creative ideas.

I often see wooden foresters, gnomes, and housewives. They are well-smoothly processed, painted with paint, but what is most interesting - they must be used for the mustache and beard. natural fur... Then they look very impressive!

Unfortunately, there is no suitable picture at hand, but as soon as I see it, I will definitely show it.

Here sits another gnome, they did a great job on him, there is a face with eyes and a nose, a decoration on a hat. The eyes are ordinary purchased ones, they cost a penny, and there are a lot of them in the bag.

Glue half of a ball made of wood as a nose. For decor, beads, rhinestones, sewn on or glued with glue or using an iron are suitable.

Dwarfs from natural material

Another option - the twigs are twisted and fixed around the cone-shaped frame. It will be both the body and the gnome's hat. The face can be sewn or felted out of wool, the eyes can be embroidered or decorated with beads. For the nose, cut out a circle, pull it off with a thread around the circumference, fill it with cotton wool and sew in place.

We will make a mustache and a beard from thread or bast, who has what material at hand. It is good to make such crafts together with children, they will be glad to feel the imminent onset of the holidays.

This is not quite a small person, but if you put on a hat, knitted or sewn from felt, on a pine cone, and also glue the eyes, which are on sale everywhere, you will get a cute decoration on the Christmas tree.

Wooden gnomes for the garden

I found these gnomes in a shop window, where all kinds of "male" items are sold. Here they come in handy - they create a festive atmosphere and show with what material to work well with the instruments sold here.

Simple as that! A small piece of wood with bark and one bevel cut. The main thing is to process it well evenly so that there are no chipping on the edges. You don't need to take off the bark.

Painted with white and red paint, it takes on a completely different look.

It remains to add eyes (even nails with a large hat will do) and a nose - a wonderful craft for a summer residence, a garden is ready!

It will look fun under a tree or other trees in the garden.

New Year's gnome from a saw cut is a great idea for those who celebrate the New Year in nature - at their dacha, want to create a festive atmosphere for everyone - guests and hosts.

Another example is gnomes made of branches and sticks with felt or wooden caps. These are sold in our Christmas markets. Prices - you can see for yourself - from 2.99 to 7.50 euros, depending on the size.

This cute New Year's gnome can be cross-stitched and then used as a wall decoration. The source is some kind of magazine. The work, although small, but painstaking, a lot different colors, thread type floss. Inside you will find a schematic plan of how to embroider a gnome with a pipe in his mouth, holding a flashlight in his hand, along with a fawn.

If you have a synthetic winterizer, foam rubber or any other roll insulation, then make such christmas trees, houses, deer, as in this post, will not be difficult at all. You need cutting templates, glue, and sharp scissors. If the material is dense, of great thickness, then it is better to take a special knife, which is used to cut linoleum, or a razor.

There are many examples of festive decor - even for a Christmas tree, even so. Basically, they are all sewn from felt of various colors. These can be easily done with your own hands, together with the children. Some are quite simple - like, for example, the deer in the photo - two identical parts are cut out, decorated, then partially stitched, then stuffed with cotton wool or small scraps of fabric

A LITTLE ABOUT GNOME

If we analyze the tales and legends that exist today, the Dwarf is a little man who lives for about 400 years. At about 200 years old, he gets married. And then he and his wife have twins. By all means! After the gnome has fulfilled his duty of procreation, he does his favorite thing - smoking a small pipe. However, he also has a lot of things to do. As a rule, the Gnome keeps treasures forgotten by someone under the roots of trees. But even if you rush to search for this treasure right now, you will not succeed! After all, despite the fact that the Dwarf is so small, he is 7 times stronger than a person.

Dickmy: My friend Brenda says she first made a gnome doll for her little son, as a gift under the Christmas tree: "It was a soft little man filled with sawdust, with a beard made of yarn and in a woolen jacket, with an embroidered face." And then she became curious and began to experiment with different materials, embroidery, emotions. This is how the first collection was born. This is how unusual gifts turned out. I also became the happy owner of one of them!

TOP 10 INCREDIBLE Gnome GIFTS YOU CAN MAKE YOUR HANDS

1. Happy elves

Elves are magical Dwarfs who came to us from Celtic folklore. In modern interpretation, they are the keepers of wisdom and dungeons. They are usually dressed in a red caftan and a green cap. However, as new year gift, you can use any combination of colors to create elves.

To make elves at home, you will need:

Small and large wooden beads, one large round ball(for the face) and oblong (for the torso)

Small bell

Hot glue and glue gun

Chenille, bright felt and scissors

ribbon

How to make funny elves (step by step instructions):

1. Making a cap. Cut a 5 cm circle out of the felt. Cut the circle in half. Roll up half with a cone and glue the edges. Sew a small bell to the top of the cap. The cap is ready!

3. We collect the little man. With the help of a tape, we connect two large wooden balls - the head and the body. We leave a small gap between the head and the body to attach the handles (small beads strung on small pieces of ribbon). We fix the edges of the handles with knots. We do the legs in the same way. For handles, 6 small and 2 larger beads are enough, for legs - 8 small and 2 large.

4. Decorating. Tie the scarf prepared earlier on the elf's neck. Tie a ribbon to the bell on the tip of the hat (so that the elf can be hung on a Christmas tree, wardrobe, or the wall by the bed).
Dikmi: Our first Dwarf is ready! This is the simplest version of a magical fairytale inhabitant. More complex and time-consuming options are ahead!

2. Forest gnomes

Dickmy: Forest Gnomes are the most responsible category of the fairy fraternity. They are stern and serious. They are given, as a rule, to the necessary and important people in your life. Those on whom you depend to one degree or another.

What do you need?

Felt (soft) at least 2-3 colors

Wool for felting

Threads (better knitting, woolen)

Scissors, needles

How to do it?

1. We make the body and head of the Dwarfs. The torso and head should be light, but at the same time dense and voluminous. We use the dry felting technique. To do this, we take a piece of wool (preferably a neutral, flesh-colored) and repeatedly pierce it with a special needle until it stalls. It is important to achieve adhesion of the fibers to each other and a state of uniformity, clarity of geometric shapes: a ball and a prism. Sew tightly the head and body together.

2. We form the cap. According to the principle of elf hats, we cut out a circle from felt, with a diameter equal to the height of the Dwarf. Cut in half. We form a cone from the half and sew. Important! The seams of this toy are open, completed bright threads... This gives a special charm to the finished product.

3. Making a raincoat. The raincoat is a rectangle made of felt, the edges of which are slightly rounded and processed with a whipstitch. In order to fasten the cloak on the neck of the Dwarf, it is necessary to make a strike approximately at a height of 0.7 cm from the upper edge of the cloak. Leave loose ends of the thread to form the strings.

4. Dress. We do it according to the principle of a raincoat rectangle. Fasten to the body with a curved seam after embroidering.

5. Embroidery. Embroidery is a subject of imagination of every master. We decorate with it a cap, a dress and a cloak.

6. Putting the toy together.

Dickmy: This feeling when the wool slips between the fingers is incomparable. You can just close your eyes and imagine that you are in that mysterious and fabulous world of the past, myths, elves and gnomes. And embroidery is generally an indescribable way of self-realization: color, shape, conversation with only eyes and halftones. Van Gogh, Matisse, Alphonse Mucha all mix with folk art... Try it, and perhaps this year a miracle will settle in your house!

3. Moomin trolls

Dickmy: These are also from the category of riddles. Fairy tale characters, forest dwellers, lovers of cookies and jam. Previously, they lived in people's houses, behind the stove, like brownies. But then stoves began to disappear in houses, centralized heating appeared. Moomin trolls went to live in the forest. Their main dream is the realization of all the best that is inherent in a person. Their main rule: everyone can be himself, but no one has the right to think only of himself. Do you have friends who also need to be reminded of this rule? Then rather make a mummy troll and go visit them for the New Year!

What do you need?

40 cm square felt for a hat

40 x 20 cm piece of felt for the face

Small pieces (can be trimmed) of felt for eyes, ears and hat decoration

Papier-mâché cone and round box, also made of papier-mâché (all of which can be found in handicraft and craft stores)

Sequins, pom-poms, bells

How to do it?

1. We glue the hat. In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp. water with ¼ glass of PVA glue. Then cover half of the blank hat cone with an adhesive mixture. Wrap with prepared felt. Carefully smooth out the glued areas so that no air bubbles remain. Then we glue and wrap the other half.

2. Making a face. Likewise, by gradually gluing a round blank of paper and felt.

3. Cut out the eyes and ears. Cut out two circles (eyes) from white felt. We glue to the dried workpiece of the face. Above - smaller circles, black. We roll up the ears from the remnants of the felt for the face, glue them.

4. Putting the toy together. We glue the finished face and hat. Let it dry. Then we decorate the hat to our liking.

5. We give a gift with character!

4. Tilda - unusual forest Santa

Dickmy: But such serious peasants are easy to make out of an old cashmere sweater.

What do you need?

Plain Cashmere Sweater

Wool yarn white

Wool for dry felting, matching cashmere

Padding (special material for soft toys, or cotton wool, balls, small sawdust)

Needle, thread, glue, cotton wool

How to do it?

1. Making the torso. Cut out a cone-shaped blank from the sweater. And a circle (for the bottom) with a diameter of 15-17 cm. Sew the edges of the cone, fill it with cotton, wool or padding polyester. Sew on the bottom. You can use open seams, this will give the forest Santa a peculiar charm.

2. Form the head, nose and cap. From wool, by the dry felting method, we make a dense ball head for Santa (no more than 1.5 cm in diameter). We also make a nose (0.3 cm). Pull out and seal the cap. We sew the cap to the head, hide the seam under the cotton edging (attached with glue). Sew on the nose.

3. Making a beard. We make a beard from woolen white thread. To do this, you need to fold the thread into three balls, and sew strands to it different lengths, from 5 to 15 cm. Fasten the finished beard (you can sew to the ball-head, or you can glue it).

4. Making pens. We also sew hands from pieces of sweater fabric. We stuff (not too tight), sew the edges to the felted pom-poms on one side (brushes), on the other - to the body.

5. Eyes. You can use pieces of black felt, beads, colored paper for the eyes.

6. We rejoice at this unusual gift!

5. Christmas Angels made of wool

Dickmy: We have a good tradition in our family. Every Christmas we hang a little Angel in the yard, on a tree. It is a symbol of kinship, protection, blessing for our family. A reminder that we love each other and love those who are no longer with us.

What do you need?

Wood bead

Pipe brush

Felting needle

White (or flesh-colored) and colored coat

Rovnitsa

How to do it?

1. We shape the head and arms. Fold a piece of ruff in half. We attach a wooden ball to the bend (this will be the head), and the ends of the wire are the hands. Then we start winding a thin layer of wool from head to fingertips.

2. Make the face and body. Divide the flat piece of roving in half and thread the finished Angel's head. We fasten the roving threads at the waist.

3. Making hair. Fold the wool (or roving) threads in half to the desired length. Sew to the head. You can also braid three thin pieces of fabric to create a braid. Then sew it to your hair in a wreath shape.

4. Halo. Twist a ring from a piece of a ruff. Then we wind a thin layer of roving on it. We fix it under the hair.

5. Wings. Tie a piece of white roving 13 cm long in the middle. Fluff the edges. We tie the wings to the body using a silver thread.

Dickmy: That's all! Now you have your own personal Angel!

6. Star kids

Dickmy: But these guys, they say, bring happiness to the house! If, suddenly, one of your friends has not yet got babies, present this talisman to them for the New Year! And very soon they will invite you to the christening!

What do you need?

Wooden beads (one large, 4 medium sizes)

Pipe brush

Felt

Thread and needles

How to do it?

Babies are made practically according to the Angel's scheme (see above). Detailed master class and a drawing of the jumpsuit - in the photo:

The hat is knitted by hand, with knitting needles. A set of loops - 6 + 2 extreme, followed by reduction.

7. Old people-boletus

Dickmy: Who doesn't love porcini mushrooms? Especially if you collect them yourself in the fall in the forest, then fry them in oil. MMM! Already drooling! Here is a reminder of joint walks, joy, relaxation, you can give your friends. Let the space under the tree be filled with the scent of a pine forest, mystery and adventure!

What do you need?

Half a meter of dense fabric (wool, linen, calico)

Woolen thread for knitting

Needles, stuffing material

How to do it?

1. We sew the body. For the torso, you need 3 squares of fabric 15 by 15 cm, and two rectangles - 5 by 15 cm. Sew all the parts together, forming a bag. We fill it with padding polyester or other material.

2. Sew on the nose. Form a slightly oblong nose from white felt or flax. Sew to the body. Weave pigtails from threads. We also sew.

3. We sew a hat. The hat consists of four triangles. Two of them are bent inward for greater density. The hat is also stuffed with padding polyester. Bend the tip to your liking.

4. We decorate. Aprons - pants with suspenders, give the boletus character, decorating them to your liking.

8. Mysterious Households

Dickmy: Prepare gifts-amulets for your family and friends. Bring them full baskets of ears (so that life in the New Year is rich and well-fed), garlic (as a talisman against evil spirits and the evil eye), sunflower seeds (as a symbol of health for all family members, especially children). And in addition to such a gift - a mysterious old housekeeper. It can be made simply (use the master class on making a forest Santa's tilde, only without the torso). He will not miss trouble on the threshold, avert an evil look and will be the keeper of your personal happiness all year long!

9. Santas on the logs

Dickmy: But if you don't have too much time to prepare a gift? Do you really want to surprise with something original (and always handmade)? Buy a knitting of logs for the fireplace, paint them with ordinary artistic gouache in the colors of Santa Claus, attach a pom-pom nose and enjoy the reaction to your super unusual gift!

10. Knitted Gnome

Dickmy: I saw such an old man in winter clothes when the article was literally ready for publication. And I just fell in love with him! Look what power, wisdom and touchingness are hidden in him at the same time! I would very much like to know how it is done. Maybe you know?

Make your family and friends happy unusual gifts, made with your own hands and always with a piece of your soul inside, instead of a heart! Let the New Year be sincere and bring only positive emotions! Happiness to you!

DIY Christmas toys. Master class with step by step photos

DIY Christmas gnomes

So the New Year has passed, but there are a lot of holidays on the doorstep of the guys. Today we will try to make such a little gnome that can be presented to friends and family. Especially appreciated are those gifts that are made by hand, handmade items created in a single copy. And so we get to work.

The hat is red on him -
Shines at night, shines during the day.
All so funny, -
Small and nice!
The gnome is a symbol of kindness!
Let the old year go away
All sorrow will take away.

Purpose: This presented master class can be used in labor lessons, i.e. v educational activities from 6 years old, etc. This master class will be interesting for adults (mothers, grandmothers). I developed this pattern a long time ago, when there was no literature. I just did it from the picture of the fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Especially we sew such a gnome for the New Year. This gnome can be used as a souvenir, heroes of fairy tales for a table theater and much more that you come up with yourself, can also be used as a Christmas tree decoration.
Target:
- Making patterns and sewing them for our gnomes;
- Be able to work with fabric, connect parts of products.
Tasks:
- Be able to cut from a pattern;
- Develop fine motor skills hands, attention, aesthetic taste;
- Raise interest in this work;
- Get a sense of satisfaction from the work done.
For this we need:
Necessary materials and tools: different pieces of fabric of different colors, short-haired black fur; black beads for the eyes; narrow braid for the neck garter; multicolored sewing threads; scissors; patterns (stencils);

Cotton wool or synthetic winterizer; pencil.

Operating procedure:
3.

From beige cotton fabric, according to the pattern, we cut out two parts of the head and two parts of the palms with allowances of 0.5 cm. On the head, mark the grooves on the wrong side of both parts.
4.

Sew the grooves with a drain seam from the wide end to the narrow end. Fold the head pieces right sides in and hand sew around, leave a slot for the stuffing. Turn it out, stuff it with cotton wool. Tuck the hole at the head and sew with blind stitches.
5.

Fold the palm rests in pairs and machine stitch. Leaving the slit at the top. On the thumb make cuts of the gnome's palms, not reaching the seam 0.1 cm. Turn it out and stuff it with cotton, leaving it not stuffed at the top. The palms are ready.
6.

Now, cut out 2 pieces of the gnome's cap from red fabric, leaving an allowance of 0.5 - 0.7 cm.
7.

Fold the parts right sides in and machine seam around and at the bottom of the cap, leave a slit in the base. We cut the corners of the cap over an angle of 45 degrees. We make notches in the concave place. Turn it over your face, stuff with cotton wool. Make a tassel with red yarn and sew to the cap.
8.

Cut out the body of a gnome from dense fabric, you can multi-colored. The back panel is 2 parts, the front panel is 1 part, and the arms are 4 parts. When cutting out, do not forget to make allowances of 0.5 cm 0.7 cm.
9.

We fold the parts with the front sides in pairs and sew around, leaving a seam allowance. Leave a slit at the bottom. We make notches in the concave parts of the parts, not reaching 0.1 cm to the seam. Turn it out and stuff with cotton wool.
10.

Fold the back panel with the right sides inward and do not sew all the way along the middle seam, leaving room for legs. On the front panel, first sew a groove at the neckline, then fold the back and front panel with the right sides inward and sew the side and crotch seams 0.5 cm from the edge. Turn the torso over your face and stuff with cotton wool.
11.

Cut out the pants according to a pattern made from pieces of denim.
12.

Sew as the torso was sewn. Turn it out and put it on the torso. Tuck the pants inward by 0.5 cm at the waist and hem them with a blind seam.
13.

Cut out a vest 1 part from the drape, a shoe: the sole of 2 parts, the top of the shoe 2 parts without seam allowances.
14.

At the top of the shoes, sew the back seam on the right side with a buttonhole stitch with threads in the color of the fabric. Sew the sole on the front side with a buttonhole stitch to the top of the shoes.
15.

Tie the vest on the front side with the shoulder seam with a buttonhole stitch with threads in the color of the fabric. Use scissors to cut the corners around the edge of the vest.
16.

Sew a red cap to the head. Sew fur on the bottom of the cap. Sew the palms to the bottom of the hand. Take 2 pieces of black eye beads and sew them in place of the eyes. Paint your lips and cheeks with lipstick and iron through the paper. Put on pants on the body, sew shoes with oblique stitches to the bottom of the pants. Sew the hands in place of the hands with a blind stitch. Head in place of the head, too, with a blind seam. Put the vest on the gnome. Tie a braid or ribbon at the junction of the head to the body.
17.

Hurray, our gnome is ready! Using this pattern, Dasha made as many as seven gnomes!
Currently, Dasha is developing a Snow White pattern.

So our gnome “Hurray!” Is ready. You are great!
I would like to express my gratitude to Darya Khanzhina and for the processed photos for help in preparing the master class. All our gnomes make up one composition that can be used for a tabletop tetra. Daria had the idea to create the character of Snow White and write her own class. I think that Daria will succeed.

And so, our master class is finished, while reading it you learned to sew according to this pattern, select pieces of fabric, threads in the color of the fabric, and perform a manual machine seam.
I wish you all good luck and creative success! If you have any questions, ask. I will answer with pleasure. I think it was interesting and useful and our work was not in vain. I would be very happy to leave comments.
We are gnomes from a fairy tale
We live in a dense forest.
We love dancing very much
And a beautiful Christmas tree.
We love to have fun
And sing songs!

All children know who gnomes are from cartoons, fairy tales and stories. These little characters live in a dungeon, love to collect precious stones and have magic spells. Toddlers love gnomes and believe that they bring gifts. Therefore, every home should have its own Christmas gnome, who brings magic and gifts to the house. The most important feature of a gnome is a cap, sometimes a gnome may have a beard. Especially on the eve new year holidays you should think about how to make a Christmas gnome with your own hands, because it's time for fabulous miracles. Such a wonderful gnome can be presented to friends and family, so that their house will be a little filled with magic. You can settle in your house more than one New Year's gnome or elf. It is not difficult to make such a wonderful toy with your own hands, it only takes a little materials, time and mood.

There are many tales and beliefs about gnomes, but if you combine all the information about them, you can make a small sketch. So who is a Christmas gnome? This is not just a character from fairy tales and legends, the gnome is a small creature that lives for about 400 years. After a couple of centuries, he finds himself a wife and creates a family, as a result he will have a couple of children. The gnome is engaged in smoking a pipe, and also hides a treasure. According to the legend about the gnomes, they are much stronger than humans.

Having learned a little about these funny little people, you can start producing gnomes on New Year do it yourself. They will look great on a Christmas tree, or as a gift.
Consider several options, of which you will definitely find to your taste.

The first to introduce ourselves to the little elf. This is a magical gnome who became known to us thanks to the Celts. Elves are wise and most often wear a red caftan and a green cap.
But your imagination can present it in other colors.

To make such a New Year's gnome with your own hands, you will need:

- wooden beads of different sizes;
-round ball (face);
- an oblong ball (body);
- bell;
-pistol with hot glue;
- felt;
-scissors;
-ribbon.

Making a funny elf with our own hands

1) It consists in creating a cap. We take the felt and cut out a circle 5 cm in diameter, cut it in half. We fold one half into a cone, gluing along the edge. Sew a bell to the top. Just three actions and our elf's cap is ready!

2) At this stage, we will make an elf scarf. We take felt of a different color. Cut out a strip 1 * 10 cm. The edges of the strip can be cut a little, creating a fringe.

3) Let's get to the fun part. We collect a little man from two wooden balls - a body and a face. We will leave a gap between them for attaching the hands with the help of knots.
As handles - strung beads (6 small 5, 2 large), which are also fixed at the bottom with a knot. The legs are made according to the same principle, only 8 small beads can be taken, and 2 large ones.

4) The most interesting is the decoration. Tie a tie around your neck, and a ribbon on the cap to hang on the Christmas tree.

It will take very little time to make such a cute Christmas gnome.

Serious tilde gnome

If the previous elf seems to you very simple option, then use the pattern of the New Year's gnome tilde to sew a cute new tenant of your house.

Make patterns on paper so that you can then cut out as many details on the fabric as indicated in the pattern. You will end up with not just one gnome, but almost a garland of three Christmas gnomes. The patterns have already been transferred to the fabric, you can cut out the details.

We cut out the bodies from white / beige fabric, not forgetting about the seam allowances.

We sew the cut out parts, leaving a piece for turning out at the bottom.

Turn out and tuck this edge that is not stitched.

Sew and twist the legs, as well as the scarves of the gnomes.

Fill all parts with cotton wool, padding polyester or holofiber. Sew the legs to the body.

Clothes can be made from any fabric. Sew the shoulder seams, finish the neckline, side seams, tuck the sleeves.

Sew the trousers of the gnomes first along the upper seams, only then the trousers themselves.

It remains to be tucked along the length and waist.

Now we can dress up our gnomes.

If you want the pants to fit snugly at the waist, then fold them.

Don't forget scarves and yarn hair.

In the pattern of the New Year's gnome, which is given at the beginning, you will also find a pattern for a cap. Without him, not a single gnome will go out into the street. Therefore, ours should also be with a headdress. When you cut out the cap, sew on the sides, you can try on the gnome's head and attach it.

Don't forget the small bell on the cap.

Since according to legend, the Christmas gnome brings a gift, do not forget the bags.

These bright DIY Christmas gnomes will cheer you up and bring comfort and a little magic to your home.

Forest gnome for the new year

These gnomes are considered the most serious, because they guard the forest, keep order. Therefore, it is worth giving them to those who truly have important role in your life.

What you need to make a Christmas gnome like this:

- felt (felt) in 2-3 colors;
-wool for felting;
- threads;
-scissors;
-needle.

Getting started on the gnome

1) Let's start with the torso and head. They are made according to the dry felting principle. To do this, take a piece of light-colored wool, close to natural. We pierce many times with a felting needle. We do this until we reach the adhesion of the fibers to a uniform state and clear forms: a ball for the head, an oval for the body.

Now you can sew the body and head.

2) Without a cap, a gnome will not be a New Year's gnome. Just like the elves in the first master class, we make a cap. Cut the circle in half, roll half into a cone, sew along the edges. But on the outside. Our logs have open seams.

3) Let's start making a raincoat from a rectangular piece of felt. The edges will be slightly rounded and processed with an overlock seam. Sew at a distance of 0.7 cm from the top of the cloak to secure it around the gnome's neck. Leave the ends of the thread for tying.

4) We make a dress according to the same principle as a raincoat. After decorating it with embroidery, fasten it with a curved seam on the body of the gnome.

5) With the help of your imagination and embroidery tools, you can decorate all the details of the Christmas gnome.

And in the end, collect all the details into one beautiful New Year's gnome with your own hands.

6) We collect the toy.

If you get carried away with the process of sewing such wonderful gnomes, you will not notice how you will find yourself in a mysterious world full of magic and magic. It is inhabited by gnomes, elves, and angels.
