How to make a star out of paper. Volumetric origami star. How to make a paper star convex star

Preparations

How to quickly and easily cut a five-pointed star out of paper? Unfortunately, a ruler and a compass are not always at hand to build a five-pointed star. Now I will show you how to quickly cut an even five-pointed star. In this case, we only need a sheet of paper and scissors.

1. We take a sheet of paper and fold it into pieces. I took an A4 sheet for convenience.

2. We cut off the edges of the sheet folded into the bottom so that we get a circle folded into the bottom.

In this case, the circle may not be completely even. It's not essential.

3. We bend the corners on the right and left so that in the end we get three identical corners A, B, C.

4. Then we bend corner C to the left and combine it with corner B.

5. Bend corner A to the right and put it on corner C.

6. Cut the paper along the oblique line. At the same time, the angle at which we cut off the edges of a folded sheet of paper can be made sharper or dumber. Depending on this, your star will be "slender" or "chubby".

Volume star from a thin strip of paper. Master Class

Can you imagine that a three-dimensional star can be made from a thin strip of paper?

I, like many users, answered this question in the negative, but that was only until I tried to make the original origami star myself. I want to say right away that the process of making this craft is so exciting that it can make you forget about everything in the world. It's good that there is still time before the New Year and everyone who is interested in this master class can show their abilities in creating a three-dimensional origami star.

So, let's start our master class.

Before proceeding directly to the process, it is necessary to prepare ornamental material - paper stripes. For my stars, I tried several different stripes and as a result I was able to choose the optimal width - 1cm. If it is thinner, the work becomes more complicated, although the stars turn out to be very elegant, but the wide stripes make the star too clumsy.

Any paper can be used to make strips, of course, with the exception of cardboard, since it is difficult to bend. But from wrapping satin paper, truly festive stars are obtained. If there is no such paper at hand, you can take sheets from magazines and even newspaper pages.

An important point: one-sided paper can be used, so the inside will be hidden from view.

Let's start making strips. After cutting a sheet 26 cm long into centimeter strips, we will make our work easier by gluing all the strips together, getting a kind of serpentine. I want to note that I had an idea to use real paper serpentine for making stars, but I had to postpone it, since the search for this material turned out to be problematic for me.

We make the basis of our crafts

It always seemed to me that the scheme for folding a paper pentagon is quite complicated. However, it was worth only once trying to fold the origami star, as the truth was revealed: folding the base of the future volumetric star is quite simple and it looks exactly like a regular pentagon.

First, you need to form a small loop from the workpiece, then, passing the end of the paper tape through it, tighten it to make a knot.

Important: the strips should be adjacent to each other without gaps, neither excessive looseness of the knot nor excessive tightening should be allowed.

Now we hide the tail of the tape, for this we will bend it back.

It was the turn of winding the notch.

Important: Tape must be wound tightly.

We just hid the tail of our loop. Now we bend the working part of the tape there as well. The base of our pentagonal star has already taken shape.

Winding an origami star

You need to try to tightly wrap around the sides of the pentagon, but so as not to crush its edges.

Turning the tape inside out, change its direction (up to the right) and now go around the other side of the pentagon. If the geometric figure is folded correctly, in the future the tape will itself lie in the direction you need. We direct the tape to the right.

It is desirable that all sides of the sprocket be rounded multiple times. For example, up to 30 cm can go to each asterisk. So wraps should be performed until the tape runs out.

Working on volume

When a piece of tape 1.5 cm long remains, we stop winding.

To hide the remaining end of the tape, you need to push it under the last turn.

This completes the preparation of the base of our asterisk, now the process of turning an ordinary regular pentagon into a three-dimensional star remains. Carefully picking up the craft, we stroke the sides of the star with our finger, in the direction from the edges to the middle. It is important to do this carefully, without squeezing the middle. Otherwise, the volume will not be achieved.

To make the asterisk beautiful, you need to make all sides identical. How the finished asterisk should look can be seen in the photo. There is also a side view. The diameter of the craft is 1.5 cm.

How can you use the craft we made?

You can just scatter them on festive table; can be pasted on Greeting Cards and decorate gifts with them; you can decorate the Christmas tree; you can string them on a thread with a relatively long needle and make a garland.

Having tried to make this beautiful star on your own, you will be surprised at yourself. So great will be the desire not to stop and prepare them for the future. For what? A question that makes you smile. The fact is that you can find a use for these original stars anywhere, you just need to turn on your imagination. I made a New Year's garland out of them with the children. True, I had to try a little to string each star with a needle onto a thread. Some people use these beautiful figurines for room decor: they pour a lot of such stars into a glass vase or bottle and bring a touch of cheerful mood to the atmosphere with such a bright design touch. There is another idea, to use stars in the design of a gift.

You can invent endlessly!

Treat yourself to a starfall New Year!

Stars have always been considered something magical, mysterious and beautiful. They light the way and point the way. Some people are lucky to be born under a lucky star. Some rush to make a wish when they see a shooting star, others just like to look at them at night in clear weather. All people on Earth are familiar with this symbol. Maybe that's why many people want to make their own star of happiness, because it is so beautiful. Now we will try to make an asterisk of happiness from plain paper.

To work, we need a strip of paper and a little time. In our case, the size will be 1x23 cm. Of course, you can take a strip of any size, but the ratio of length to width should remain the same every time 1:23. To find out what size star to get from any strip of paper, you need to multiply its width by 1.67. For example, from a sheet of A4 paper, taking into account the ratio of 1x23, it is convenient to cut strips 1.2x27.6 cm in size. From such strips, you can make an asterisk 2 cm in size.

And so, we begin to add an asterisk. Having rounded the end of the paper strip around the index finger, we tie a knot. It is necessary to tighten it and press it in such a way that a small figure of an equilateral pentagon is obtained.

It is necessary to try so that after tying the knot there is a very small end of the strip. If this fails, it is better to cut it off or bend it back.

Next, we begin to wrap our pentagonal star in a circle with the long end of the strip, bending it each time along the line of the edge of the figure. With each fold, the strip will itself lie on the next edge on which it needs to be folded.

After 10 such bends, a short piece of the strip should remain. It can be hidden in a nearby "pocket". The result should be a pentagonal flat figure.

Now you need to try to make the figure voluminous. To do this, each face needs to be slightly pressed inward with your fingers, while at the same time pulling out the corners. Since the asterisk is very small, special care must be taken so as not to accidentally spoil it.

If you did everything right, then your star of happiness should be like this.

Do not be discouraged if something went wrong for you and the asterisk did not work the first time. Try to start again and for sure, this time you will succeed! And when you learn how to do them, it will seem to you that nothing is easier.

To make a voluminous five-pointed star, you only need a square sheet of paper or cardboard, and two minutes of your time.

So, to make a three-dimensional star, take a square sheet, fold it in half. Remember: all other actions must be performed so that the sheet folded in half lies folded down.

Fold the leaf in half again - we get a fold strip.

Now we need two more stripes - for this we need to fold our workpiece in this way:

And then like this:

Then we fold it like this:

And we evenly bend the right side to the resulting line:

Next, fold our workpiece in half, bending back:

Next step: bend the corner to get another fold line - you will need to cut along it, resulting in a triangle:

Keep this side facing you:

We bend:

We straighten:

And cut and get:

In principle, the star is ready - it remains to unfold it and slightly tweak all the lines to make it work as it should:

That's all, you can paint with gouache or paints if you made it from white paper.
Of course, this is far from the only way to make a three-dimensional star, and in the future we will definitely tell you about other options so that you have plenty to choose from.

  1. classic model
  2. Eight-pointed decoration
  3. star lamp
  4. With a surprise inside

Decoration of a room or any other place to holiday event garlands, pendants, hand-made panels are very popular. Almost any decor element can be made using the most simple materials such as cardboard or paper sheets. Even if you want to turn everything around into a starry sky, this is not a problem, because the ways to create different shapes there are a lot of paper stars.

classic model

Do-it-yourself five-pointed paper stars are made quite simply and even without the help of glue. You just need to master some basic origami techniques:

  1. To work, you need a square leaf. Fold it in half and place it folded side down (towards you).
  2. Bend the upper right corner (two paper layers) inward, towards the middle of the sheet, only slightly smoothing the place of the bend. Expand the corner. Do the same for the bottom right corner. You have an intersection left on the sheet.
  3. Now attach the lower left corner to the center of the resulting intersection. Smooth out the fold.
  4. Turn the same corner of the sheet back to the bend. And iron the resulting fold again.
  5. Bend the lower right corner to the resulting triangle on the left side. Iron the fold.
  6. Turn the right side back along the line of alignment of the triangles.

A figure similar to a bag should come out: at the bottom - a narrowing, at the top - paper of different heights. top must be cut at an angle. Lay mentally a slash from the top of the triangle on the side to the opposite side so that it crosses it below the middle. Cut off the excess.

When you unfold the sheet, you will only have to straighten or push the lines of the rays of the asterisk with your hands again. Such crafts are convex only on one side, but this is their advantage when you want to create, for example, a wall panel from them or stick them on any plane.

Eight-pointed decoration

You can make paper stars with your own hands voluminous on both sides. Such figures can be hung from the ceiling or on the Christmas tree as toys.

  1. Place a square piece of heavy paper in front of you, face up. Bend it in half: first from the bottom up, then turn the bent half back, then from the side and turn the half back in the same way.
  2. Place the sheet face down. Bend the bottom left corner to the top right, iron the fold, straighten the sheet. Do the same for the bottom right and top left corners. And here is a four-pointed asterisk in front of you.
  3. On the reverse side sheet on lines that are bent inward (not convex!), mark the middle of each ray starting from the center of their intersection. In total, you must put down four points-marks.
  4. From the edges of the rays along the fold, make cuts to the points. Bend the resulting incised edges inward, towards the rib. Coat any half with glue and glue it with the other folded edge. One "star" half is ready.
  5. Do another one in the same way. Then grease the center of the crafts with glue and align them so that the directions of the rays do not match. To the middle, you can glue a rope for which the decor will be hung.

If you forgot to attach the thread - no problem! You can attach it to the ray by making a hole in it and threading the ribbon.

star lamp

Heavenly bodies emit light. How to make a three-dimensional paper star as bright? Cut out patterns and place a light source inside!

  1. Draw a line on the sheet in the center, its length depends on how long you want to see the star beam. On either side of it (about 30 degrees), set aside segments a little longer (the edge of the star), and then one more on each side (at 60 degrees), but already the same length as the first line. Merge the line segments into a shape. It will look a little like a heart.
  2. At the top (from the 30 degree line - the edge - to the center and back to the edge) draw a stripe of about 5mm. Draw the same strip to the right of the side of the figure. These strips are needed so that the parts can then be glued together.
  3. Between the edges of the beam and the fold lines, mark the middle. Here you will need to make holes, "arranging" them in rows. If you do them in each section between the ribs and bends, then you will have four rows.
  4. Cut out the workpiece, make holes. Perform scoring (bend the lines correctly).
  5. Lubricate the strip on the right with glue and glue the left side of the workpiece to it.

    Got the first ray.

  6. The remaining four rays are made in the same way, thread the garland into the last one before gluing.
  7. For the glued strips that remained at the top of the rays, assemble the star decoration by placing the garland inside.

The pattern does not have to be made in the form of holes. You can cut any, as long as the holes are not too large, otherwise the garland will be noticeable.

How to make a three-dimensional star out of paper. 3 options

With a surprise inside

Another way to make paper stars with your own hands, without bothering yourself with complex drawings, is to lay several flat blanks on top of each other:

  1. Cut out several identical stars from cardboard (the number depends on the thickness of the cardboard and the desired height of the craft). If you want to hide a souvenir inside, then cut a circle in the center of each sheet figure.
  2. Glue the blanks one on top of the other. Leave a few more for the lid.
  3. To make the lid close tightly, stick a few cardboard circles on it with the same diameter as the indentation at the bottom.

Now you can decorate the star box at your discretion: self-adhesive film, sequins, fabric, paints.

Speaking of decor! Asterisks can be pasted over with pieces of CDs of a suitable size. Then your crafts will not be inferior in beauty and real heavenly bodies!

To make a five-pointed star, you need a rectangular album sheet. Or a sheet of colored paper of the same proportions.

Step-by-step instruction.
1.

cut paper stars

Fold the landscape sheet in half as shown.

3. Now we bend the lower left corner up as in the picture.

5. Cut off the excess from the resulting folded figure. The sharper the cut angle, the sharper the corners will be on the star.

Many faced the problem - How to draw a regular pentagon?
But in all known methods at least compasses or rulers are required. The same method allows you to draw a polygon - a star, having only scissors at hand.

Having cut out such a model, you can use it as a template for drawing or for making children's applications and paper crafts. Cute stars are made from small rectangles. To do this, bend the album sheet in half, then in half again, unfold it - and you will get four rectangular identical blanks for your stars.

We will be glad if you post an article on your blog or website with an active link to the Children's Games website or to this article.

Well, and finally, I want to offer you an interesting new video that can be very useful for you or your child!

Is it New Year's Eve or a party with your girlfriends? One of the most bright jewelry holiday can become paper stars. It is easy to make them voluminous, in 3D technique, or just small, very similar to the bright reflections of the moonlight.

A craft called a "do-it-yourself star" may be more like Christmas decorations or resemble a garland.

Depending on what kind of accessory the craftswoman needs, one or another method of its manufacture will be chosen. Lots of methods. Consider the main options.

But first we need

Paper. This is the main material from which stars are made. By the way, you can use cardboard, colored, shiny or velvet paper, newspapers and even used books.

In addition to the main tool, you will need: scissors, adhesive tape, glue, braid, various ropes, threads, a needle, beads for decoration.

Of the main techniques that are offered to craftswomen today, quilling, stained glass, stars in the form of garlands, 3D volumetric decorations, and modular products are held in high esteem.

Quilling technique

Let's make Christmas stars. You can use them as Christmas decorations. The essence of quilling is a special twist paper strips and gluing.

In the photo of the craft, the star looks very presentable. From this you can make a Christmas tree decoration or just fill the room festive mood before the party.

Each of the rays of this star consists of rolls of paper of the same color. A homemade star is no different from a standard production craft, and looks even better.

Don't stop at one product. At least 5-6 such decorations should be hung on the Christmas tree, sprinkled with artificial snow or covered with an interesting tone from a spray gun.

Quilling stars can be made not so angular and pointed. It is recommended to smoothly round the corners, but at the same time apply the same quilling principle.

The scheme is simple. You should cut 10 paper strips, build a triangle from each and divide into pairs. They need to be glued together as shown in the diagram.

At the end, make a hole for the thread with a hole punch or awl and hang this beauty on the Christmas tree.

Star made of twisted triangles

It is seven-pointed and very similar to a snowflake. We twist the paper into tubes and lay it on the base, previously flavored with glue. We follow the diagram.

You can string such stars on threads or make a garland with a sewing machine.

Doing it is simple. It is necessary to put a cardboard star under the sewing foot and sew in the middle, then allow empty lines and put the next blank. In the finale, you will be pleased with a noble garland.

A star that spans five continents

Make yourself a blank, presented below, using a printer by downloading the templates from the link. After printing them, bend the workpieces in the places indicated in the diagram and glue the corresponding parts.

Volumetric design

The voluminous craft star is very eye-catching. Similar souvenirs can be used to decorate gathering places with friends, a festive lunch or dinner.

In addition, they should be hung in a bunch, paving the central lighting of the living room or decorating the window.

To create voluminous crafts, useful: colored paper, a simple pencil, scissors, glue, strong thread.

First you need to cut out a couple of sheets of paper in the shape of a square. They need to be formed as shown in the diagram.

After incising the blanks along the perpendicular line and bending, respectively. Next, grease each of the sides intended for gluing with glue and connect the star.

Convex Perfections

They are very small. They are made of thin paper and serve as a wonderful decoration for the interior, gifts, window decor and objects.

For manufacturing, you need colored paper, scissors and the hands of a craftswoman. Strips of paper must be cut correctly and this should be given close attention. The width of the strips should not exceed 9 mm, and their length - 22.1 cm.

After the strips are cut, you should make shapes in the form of eyelets. It is important to focus on the presented scheme.

After that, the remaining tail must be turned into a knot. This should be done as carefully as possible. An even pentagon turns into a strip. The tip is hidden inside the star.

New Year's

Craft star of Bethlehem is being made different ways. Double-sided thick paper of any tones, glue and scissors will come in handy. There should be 4 types of squares. Total 8 pcs. Sizes: 7, 10, 13 and 18 cm.

After you need to fold the appropriate blank, as shown in the picture, and decorate the star with rhinestones and ribbons.

One hundred rays

This piece is very similar to balloon, consisting of hundreds of small rays. Straight like a fan. The rays are strung on a thread alternately.

The ends of the star are connected and after the product can be hung from the ceiling or decorate the top of the Christmas tree with it.

Marine motives

craft starfish quite easy to make. On thick cardboard, draw a five-pointed star and make small cuts along the edges. In total, for 2 crafts you will need to make 4 blanks.

Then you should bend along the contour lines and glue two stars each. The finish can be oil or watercolor paint of any tone.
