  • From the fabric, cut out two rectangles about 4 cm wide and 10 cm longer than the length of Santa Claus's legs. Sew on the long side, turn inside out and put on the legs. Baste to the bottom of the circle.
  • Cut a cone out of white felt, sew and turn right side out. Stuff it tightly with synthetic fluff and thread a thin wire through it, sew it to the circle with a blind seam.
  • Cut out soles from thick cardboard or plywood, they should be larger than wire loops. Glue the soles with a glue gun. Glue foam boots on top.

  • Cover the boots with red felt and pull them down.
  • Sketch the eyes and mouth at the top of the cone.
  • From red felt or fleece, cut out Santa Claus's fur coat, as well as pens. Handles must be sewn and filled with synteph.

Santa Claus is born! We pack, tie and the gift is ready!

Good day, dear readers and guests of the Harmony of Life blog! Spring is on the doorstep, you say, and she and Santa Claus are here! I'm sorry, I couldn't before. But this is not the main thing, because this master class on making Santa Claus will be relevant every year.

How to make Santa Claus with your own hands

We will make a grandfather easily and cheaply.

Unfortunately, this time I had to make Santa Claus myself in those short breaks while I was sleeping. little son. I hope that our next craft will be made by all family members.

Well, now let's move on to the main thing, how to make Santa Claus with your own hands. In the course of this master class, there will be several photos that I took with my smartphone, so the quality is not very good, but you can see it). I have only captured the main steps. I was in a hurry...

To make Santa Claus, I used the following materials:

  • Sintepon (it took 1m 30cm for the craft.)
  • 3 red Santa Claus hats (bought for 15 rubles apiece).
  • Nylon sock or flesh-colored stocking.
  • Plastic 5 liter water bottle.
  • The threads are white and red.
  • Two buttons for the eyes.
  • Tinsel and "rain" for decoration.
  • A piece of brown velor for making a gift bag.
  • A small stick for making a staff.

So, first of all, you need to sheathe the bottle with a padding polyester, for this we first wrap it with a padding polyester, measure how much you need to cut off so that the padding polyester tightly fits the bottle, see the photo below. We sew the edges with white threads so that they fit snugly around the bottle. This is the future torso of Santa Claus.

The next step will be sewing a fur coat. if you have sewing machine- great. If not, it doesn’t matter, I don’t have one either and I sewed with my hands. For a Santa Claus fur coat, we need two Santa Claus hats. We cut off the top of the hats, together with the bubo, by 7 cm. We unpick the rest and sew the two parts together, because the fur coat will not fit on the grandfather from one hat. When the parts of the two hats are sewn, we put them on the body and sew them in the middle, see the photo.

Now it's the turn to sew the hands, we have one Santa's hat left, we also cut off the top of the hat along with the tambourine by 7 cm, then we cut the hat into two parts along, measure the approximate length and width of the hands, focusing on the size of Santa Claus and now we sew each part, then we fill our hands with padding polyester and sew it to the body.

We cut a strip about 10 cm wide from the synthetic winterizer and sew it to the fur coat instead of fur, thereby closing the seam and at the same time decorating the fur coat, see photo.

Now we make a collar, what thickness it will be up to you. We cut off the required amount of synthetic winterizer, beautifully wrap it around the upper body and carefully sew it to the vertical strip of synthetic winterizer, which we closed the seam on the fur coat. See photo.

Well, the torso of the grandfather is ready. Now let's start making the head. To do this, we take the prepared stocking and stuff it with a padding polyester so that the head is commensurate with the body. In place of the spout, you can sew a button or make a spout also from a padding polyester, like my Santa Claus, for this we tear off a small piece of padding polyester, roll it up into the ball and gently push it into the place where the nose will be. To highlight the nose a little, you can flash it with threads. Unfortunately, I did not capture this process. But you can watch the process on YouTube, just ask the query "stocking dolls". When the nose is ready, sew on the button eyes.

Above the eye, we sew small pieces of padding polyester, giving them the desired shape of the eyebrows. We tear off a small piece from the padding polyester, pull it out in the form of a mustache, carefully sew the mustache under the nose. Below we glue the mouth, which can be cut from the remnants of the red fabric.

How to make a beard for Santa Claus

Next, we put the head on the neck of the bottle, you can glue or tie it for reliability. What is Santa Claus without a beard? We cut out a beard from a synthetic winterizer and sew it to the head. Now, from the remnants of the red fabric (if you remember, I cut off the tops of Santa's hats with buboes), now we cut off the buboes and sew a hat from the remaining pieces of fabric, and, putting Frost on his head, lightly grab it with threads so that it doesn’t go anywhere. We trim the edging of the cap with a padding polyester.

Now it remains to do the most pleasant thing - to decorate our Santa Claus a little. We sew pieces of tinsel on a fur coat. Cheeks can be distinguished with the help of blush.

Santa Claus do-it-yourself photo

I completely forgot, we sew a bag from the fabric prepared for it, stuff it with something squeaky, I used a squeaky bag. We tie with a rope, you can decorate with pieces of tinsel. We sew the finished bag to the hand of Santa Claus. We also need to decorate the staff. To do this, we take a prepared stick, wrap it with a synthetic winterizer and wrap rain of any color on top. The staff is ready. Now you need to tie it to Frost's hand. This is how easy, simple and inexpensive (about 150 rubles) you can make Santa Claus with your own hands. By the way, you can make a Snow Maiden in the same way. The final photo turned out to be also of low quality, but you can see how our grandfather turned out.

I hope that my master class on making Santa Claus with your own hands will help you create the same, or maybe better, grandfather for yourself. And this is our Santa Claus in the garden under the Christmas tree, photo from the camera, so good quality is not like from the phone.

Sincerely, Elena Kurbatova.

There is no doubt that Santa Claus - main character new year celebrations. It is his miracles and gifts that children are waiting for, they send letters, postcards, and under the Christmas tree for a fairy-tale wizard, a response is often hidden. children's giftNew Year's craft. Santa Claus himself often becomes a character embodied in various types creativity.

DIY origami

A person who is fond of origami will not have questions about how to make small paper figures in the form of Santa Claus. Having chosen the simplest and most understandable option among the proposed schemes, even an inexperienced person in this type of creativity can make a New Year's paper figurine. Santa Claus, made with his own hands from a small sheet of colored paper, will be an excellent addition to the main gift or postcard, and will also be a wonderful sign of attention.

Felt crafts

Felt is a very practical and convenient material for creativity. Felt toys are not only colorful and pleasant to the touch: due to the fact that the details of the pattern can not only be sewn on, but also glued to each other using hot glue or a glue stick, the creation is also suitable for children.

In order to make felt Santa Claus with your own hands, you will need:

  • red felt:
  • flesh-colored felt;
  • white felt;
  • floss white;
  • needle;
  • synthetic winterizer or cotton wool;
  • pencil;
  • scissors.

Progress (step by step):

  • Print or redraw the product pattern on paper, cut out the details.
  • Bend the red felt in half, use a pencil to transfer the largest detail of the pattern (in the form of a drop) onto it and cut it out. Sew both parts of the part together, leaving a centimeter segment unsewn. Through the resulting hole, fill the product with padding polyester or cotton wool (for convenience, you can use a pencil), and then sew up the hole.
  • From flesh-colored felt, cut 1 piece in the form of an oval. This is the face of the future figurine. After placing the part in the desired place, attach white felt parts on top of it: a beard and a cap frill. The frill should be stitched around the entire perimeter, and the beard should be sewn only in the place of its contact with the face of the figure.
  • Cut out the remaining details from white felt: mustache and pompom hats (2 pcs.). Sew the mustache over the beard, sewing the detail along the top edge only.
  • Cut out a small circle (nose) from body felt and sew it over the mustache.
  • Insert the end of the Santa Claus hat between the two parts of the pompom and sew them together.
  • Embroider or draw eyes. Fasten the thread in the form of a loop.

Various decorative elements will decorate and diversify the craft. Santa Claus can be made not only in the traditional red and white colors, but also have a blue or green suit.

bottle decoration

It's no secret that the most versatile New Year's gift for people not in a close circle of communication is champagne (or other alcohol) and chocolate (or sweets). original grandfather Frost, hand-sewn from colorful materials, will make the gift unusual and memorable.

Making crafts from bottles is also suitable for junior groups kindergarten: for this, it is enough to fill transparent bottles with red paper, glue a cotton beard and plastic eyes on top and complete the image of the main New Year's wizard with a red sock or paper cap imitating the character's hat.

Craft from cotton pads

Cotton pads and cotton wool - the most lightweight material to work in kindergarten. Children can stick cotton pads (or balls) on templates prepared in advance by adults or make crafts exclusively with their own hands, first painting it and then decorating it with cotton wool details. These can be snowflakes cut out by a figured hole punch, Father Frost's wadded beard, as well as details of his costume.

The same templates, decorated with details from cotton pads and cotton wool in accordance with the tastes and skills of each child, will be wonderful and unlike gifts that children can take home and give to their loved ones.

For creativity in older groups of kindergarten, more painstaking and complex work is suitable - creating crafts from cotton buds. Sticks fastened with glue will be a good building material for creating fabulous winter landscapes.

Santa Claus from plasticine

For children of older groups of kindergarten, as well as for younger students, modeling from plasticine will become easy. Depending on the ability of the child, you can choose step by step instructions products of varying degrees of complexity: from the simplest to figures with a large number of small details.

Santa Claus from plasticine will become the main character of fabulous winter scenes and New Year's stories.

Figures from threads

Creating a fairy tale character woolen threads- a laborious process that requires not so much special needlework skills as it takes a lot of time and painstaking work. However, the resulting figurines have a very "homey" feel to them, evoking a sense of cosiness and warmth.

Santa Claus from paper

Paper crafts are extremely diverse not only in type, but also in the types of techniques used in the process of their creation. Paper of only two colors (green and red), rolled and fixed in the form of cones and supplemented with small details (a face with a beard, Christmas balls) will be the basis for creating a beautiful

Schools and kindergartens started competitions for the best creative work among pupils and parents. New Year's theme is quite extensive. In some groups, it was decided to make a mitten from improvised materials, in others - a Christmas tree, in others - New Year's toys. My daughter and I have already knitted a mitten with fairy-tale characters (a scratching mouse, a jumping frog, etc.). At home, there were up to a dozen of the most diverse paper Christmas trees. So, today we will make a simple New Year's toy. It will be Santa Claus.
Children of primary school age can cope with a craft made of colored paper without outside help. Toddlers are not yet capable of such work.
So, for preparing:

  • scissors
  • white and colored paper
  • pencils.
Let's start with the design of a fur coat and hats of Santa Claus. This is an integral element. It is necessary to form a cone from red paper. There are different ways to create this geometric figure. Someone cuts out a circle and then glues it into a cone. We got used to twisting a cone from a rectangular sheet. We level the base with scissors.

Next, you need to make a fur edge for a hat and a fur coat. We need two white stripes about 10 mm wide. We bend the strip along in half, and on the opposite edge from the place of the bend we go through with scissors, cut a narrow short fringe.

Glue the fur edge on the bottom of the fur coat. We immediately determine the height of the cap, mark the edge of the headdress with a white edging.

Next, we cut out an elongated trapezoid from the album sheet, carefully rounding all four corners. Immediately cut into the resulting figure thin long strips - a beard. At the end of the work, we will go through each hair with a scissor blade to fluff the snow-white beard.

With gouache, watercolor, felt-tip pens or pencils, we draw the face of Santa Claus. Distinctive feature The appearance of the hero are thick eyebrows and mustaches.

We will also cut out the hair of our craft from paper. No complications.

It remains to glue all the details in place. Santa Claus from colored paper is ready. Of course, if you wish, you can continue the work, in particular, decorate the hero's arms and legs. However, in the presented form, the craft also looks great.

Let's put Santa Claus next to paper tree. The tree is made of multi-colored (white and green) palms. We will lay out tinsel next to children's crafts. It is a pity that there were no silver items at home. Nothing misunderstanding will be corrected next weekend. You still have to prepare for the morning.
