In addition to the standard components, when preparing for a wedding, they often use interesting novelties that can make the event brighter and more comfortable. One of such details is a backup wedding bouquet, which is created for the convenience of the bride and her bridesmaids.

What is a bouquet stunt double

The complementary bouquet is a floral arrangement that is designed to throw a lucky attribute. The wedding tradition dates back to Ancient Rus when the guests took a piece of the wedding dress for good luck. The next ceremony is to decorate the bride's clothes for the wedding with flowers, which the guests took off at the end of the ceremony.

Times are changing, the cost of wedding dresses is growing, customs are changing. To show a desire to get married, it is not necessary to spoil a beautiful outfit, you can try to catch a flower arrangement. During wedding ceremony unmarried girls gather in a circle, the bride turns her back to her friends and, without looking, throws the long-awaited happiness into the hands of the girls. At first glance, a simple wedding tradition can be turned into a fun and unforgettable action by adding a little fantasy to the celebration.

Regardless of whether the bride is throwing her bouquet or an understudy, the accessory means marriage soon. You can make a wedding bridal bouquet and a backup bouquet from natural flowers or artificial materials... The second option has a number of advantages: the inexpensive cost of the composition, you can create a bouquet with your own hands, the attribute will be easy and convenient. The appearance of the understudy may be similar to the main composition, or differ from it, the main thing is to maintain the coherence of details in the images of the bride and groom.

Why do you need a bouquet understudy

A wedding bouquet is one of the main attributes of a celebration. It symbolizes a happy union, brings good luck to an established family. In ancient times, the wedding composition played the role of the guardian of family happiness. Today the bride throws the bouquet into the crowd of unmarried bridesmaids.

The main reason for making an understudy is to preserve the bouquet as a memorable attribute. The bride spends the whole day with flowers, joyful and sad moments are associated with them, which will be revived in memory when looking at the bouquet. In addition, such a decoration will bring happiness and love to the family hearth.

The bride's bouquet is usually quite bulky. For its manufacture, use weighty portbouquettes, lush flowers, various decorations. A heavy bridal accessory is difficult to throw and can hurt bridesmaids. Often at a wedding, they use compact and lightweight bouquets understudy.

Throwing a bridal bouquet of fresh flowers can spoil the guests' clothes with pollen. Such stains are difficult to remove, and can cause the last wear of your favorite dress.

Also, you should take care of the second bridal bouquet when holding a celebration in winter, when you are not sure that the flowers will withstand the change in temperatures, while maintaining their appearance.

A double for the bride's bouquet will come in handy if the wedding will last for several days. A couple of compositions will help keep the bride's image in perfect shape throughout the entire ceremony.

Variety of bouquets of understudies

The production of a wedding composition can be entrusted to professional florists or create an extraordinary masterpiece with your own hands.

Popular options for bouquets of understudy:

  • Composition identical to the main one wedding accessory ... The duplicator does not require effort, you just need to order 2 identical products.

  • Miniature copy of the wedding bouquet... When the main wedding attribute is very heavy, but you want to use the already chosen composition, you can create a small understudy. To create it, use similar flowers from the main bouquet or simply keep the color scheme.

  • Wedding bouquet understudy from scrap materials... To create a composition, fabric, ribbons, beads, sweets, etc. are used.

2. We make several parts of the wire. We attach ribbons and cord bows to each wire element, string beads. We attach the resulting decorations to the created flower bouquet.

3. The roses that remain are connected to the center of the composition with adhesive tape.

4. From tulle we create a fluffy skirt.

2. For making flowers, you need to take wide ribbons and threads. Fold the tape in half, baste the element with threads. Pick up the ribbon and twist it into a bud, making beautiful rose... Create the required number of colors in the same way.

3. Fix the prepared roses to the base with a glue gun.

Most girls are preparing for their future wedding from a very young age. No wonder! After all, for any woman this is the most important, touching, happy, memorable day. I want everything to be perfect, so every detail is carefully studied and carefully selected. If there are no special questions with the outfit, invitations, flowers, and the decoration of the ceremony, then the need to choose an understudy bouquet for the wedding confuses girls who are not too advanced in modern wedding tendencies. What is it about? Why is this accessory necessary at a celebration, if a gorgeous arrangement of fresh flowers has already been ordered for the bride? Wouldn't it be a waste of money? It's worth understanding!

History of tradition

In American wedding ceremonies, it is customary to throw flowers from the bride to unmarried girlfriends. The one that turns out to be the most dexterous, or simply the most successful, and will catch him first, will soon go down the aisle herself. This sweet tradition quickly took root in our country as well. And although the omen does not always work, those who want to become the owner of the bride's flowers are not decreasing: after all, throwing a bouquet to her friends, a girl shares with them a piece of her happiness - sunny and real.

Another interesting and popular tradition for the bride was presented by the Slavs: to dry and tenderly preserve the wedding bouquet, which will be a talisman and amulet for a young family. Most girls consider this very romantic: for many years, when looking at flowers, all the brightest and most tender moments of the celebration will emerge in their memory.

And how, one wonders, to realize these two interesting, but absolutely opposite ideas in the presence of one single bouquet? In a situation when you don't want to choose, backup wedding bouquets will just be in place.

Why does a bride need a second bouquet at a wedding

And if you imagine that the bride is a pedantic girl, and dried flowers collecting mountains of dust are not an option for her, then there is no need for an additional bouquet? Not at all!

At the moment of throwing the bouquet, the second copy will give a significant head start to the chic flowers in the hands of the hero of the occasion. Why is it easier and more preferable for the bride to leave him:

  • The bridal bouquet looks gorgeous, but is often traumatic. Unmarried guests are unlikely to appreciate a heavy portaulette or metal decorative ornaments that can fly right into their heads.
  • Fresh flower pollen leaves stubborn stains on clothes. The joy of the caught bouquet on the bridesmaid's face will immediately fade at the thought that this gorgeous black dress was worn for the first and last time.
  • The composition in the hands of the newlywed can be extremely complex (basket, fan, cascade, etc.), such design features simply will not allow her to be thrown. And if the elements of the bouquet are still barely fixed to each other, then in flight they will easily fly around - you will have to "admire" scraps of flowers on the floor, tables with food and even in the hair of guests.

In addition, a backup bouquet will be very useful if:

  • The wedding ceremony is held in winter, so there are doubts that the bride's flowers will retain their attractive appearance with constant temperature drops.
  • The holiday is magnificent and lasts for several days, as, for example, in the Caucasus. There is hardly a flower arrangement that will withstand such active festivities. But you really want the image of the bride both on the second and on the third day of the wedding to remain ideal.
  • The main bouquet is made up of extremely delicate, "capricious" representatives of the flora, susceptible to the slightest changes in the environment.

What are the understudy

If the newlyweds decided that they still need a composition that duplicates the main bouquet, it's time to decide what it can be. There are a great many variations of the bride's “spare” flowers, of which a “classic” list has already been created.

First of all, you need to choose between real and artificial plants. If the newlyweds prefer a "live" bridal bouquet, the understudy can be either a 100% copy of this original composition, or its mini-variation.

The formation of an artificial bouquet opens up a lot of possibilities for the flight of imagination of hand-made craftswomen. It can be made from:

  • satin ribbons;
  • beads;
  • foamiran;
  • beads;
  • lace;
  • tulle and other fabrics.

Modern brides often began to resort to "tricks": to use a stand-in bouquet, which disintegrates into separate compositions during the throw. So it turns out to please several unmarried girlfriends at once.

Every year, original compositions of sweets and soft toys, from dry berries and ears of wheat, from seashells and even buttons. Against their background, the variant of a backup bouquet made of purchased artificial flowers looks quite simple.

It is not so important which of them the bride will like, the main thing is that he:

  • well fit into the style and format of the event;
  • harmonized with colors ceremonies and outfits of the newlyweds;
  • was light and compact - the bride should be comfortable throwing it, and guests should not be afraid to get hurt if the flowers hit someone in the head or face.

If the future hero of the occasion is a creative person capable of any kind of needlework, you can make a backup bouquet yourself. In this case, it will not be a standard wedding attribute, but a piece of the bride's soul and love. In a situation where the "torment of creativity" is alien to her, hundreds of representatives of event-agencies, needlewomen and individual florists are ready to offer their services.

From artificial flowers

A duplicate bouquet made of artificial materials can be no less beautiful and memorable than the original composition in the hands of the bride. This option initially has many advantages over fresh flowers:

  • It will never wither. A guest who is lucky enough to catch him will be able to keep such a bouquet for many years as a sweet reminder of wedding ceremony and a souvenir dear to my heart.
  • Does not require significant financial investments.
  • Opens up ample opportunities for the embodiment of the most original creative ideas. Artificial flowers are extremely malleable, they can be combined with absolutely any materials, give them the desired shape, use the most incredible and vibrant colors.
  • He is not afraid of any weather conditions, such a bouquet will look invariably beautiful both in the scorching heat and in the Siberian frosts.

Artificial plants don't have to be plastic ones that cause mourning. Today, silk, cotton, satin are used for their manufacture, options from dense corrugated paper, felt, wool, and crocheted flowers.

It should be borne in mind that the appearance of such a bouquet directly depends on its performance. A professionally selected composition and quality work will never be perceived as vulgar or cheap.

From fresh flowers

This is a classic of the genre, which a priori cannot be a losing one. Freshness and aroma of fresh flowers are able to create almost out of the blue good mood and enhance the festive atmosphere. Also, according to wedding beliefs, they symbolize love and predict a happy family life for the newlyweds.

An understudy bouquet of fresh flowers can:

  • Repeat the original bouquet with precision. In this case, many of the guests will not replace the "substitution" when the time will come throw flowers to unmarried ladies. The disadvantage of this option is its high cost, but who stops it when it comes to a dream wedding!
  • Be a miniature copy of the main composition. Such a solution will be appropriate when the wedding bouquet is heavy and bulky. Such a mini-bouquet will look very delicate and charming.

Bouquet with flowers from fabric

Every year wedding fashion surprises with new solutions. At the peak of popularity, fabric flowers for making an understudy bouquet. These can be entire works of art, created in a variety of styles:

How to make

  • glue or glue gun, which is more expensive, but many times more convenient;
  • a reel left over from cling film or foil (for a holder handle);
  • lace / tulle to form a "skirt";
  • fabric for covering the base;
  • satin cord or ribbon;
  • all kinds of elements for decorating a bouquet - beads, brooches, rhinestones, beads, etc.

Hello dear readers! continues, and today I present to your attention one more competitive work... , made by the hands of the beautiful craftswoman Galina, looks simply charming. None of them can do without such bouquets, therefore, perhaps, the master class of a wedding bouquet made of satin ribbons, which Galina shared with us, will be useful to you.

Flowers in such techniques are used very often to decorate various products. From satin ribbons, they look especially elegant. I give the floor to the master.

Greetings to all readers of the site!

My name is Galina Sorokina. I live in Rostov-on-Don and for four years now I have been dealing with decorative items for decorating interiors and various celebrations... Several years ago I saw a bouquet for a bride made of artificial flowers and decided to try to make it with my own hands.

There were no teachers, and I had to master everything myself and come up with my own methods of work. At that time, I was not friends with the Internet, so there was no place to get information. Ruined a lot of satin ribbon before I got something pretty. Everything had to be done by trial and error.

When I made the first pretty rose, I was very happy. And when there were a lot of them, I had to think about how to collect them all in a bouquet. The idea arose to plant the structure on a semicircular base, which is attached to a regular computer disk.

The whole process is quite time consuming and not very fast. Be patient. I will show and tell you in stages how everything happens.

First you need to make blanks for the rose. We cut pieces of 5 cm wide and 11 cm long, 8 pieces for each rose and collect them as shown in the photo.

I wind the first petal on tweezers and glue it into a bud. Then everyone else around him staggered with glue.

The result is such a rosette and there will be a lot of them.

After that, we begin to make the basis for the bouquet. For the pen, I use a cardboard foil tube and cut it in half, 12 cm long.

I take a tape 2.5 cm wide and wrap the tube in this way.

On the other hand, I tie it on ponytails.

Then I glue one end of the tube with tape 5 cm wide.

I wrap the entire handle, from bottom to top, with a tape 2.5 cm wide in a spiral and fix it with glue in some places (always along the edges of the tube).

For a round base, I take a regular CD and wrap it with tape (2.5 cm wide). The tape must be fixed with glue near the central circle on the side to which the handle will be attached.

After that, I stick the ponytails into the hole in the disc and glue them on the other side of it. With this attachment, the handle will definitely not come off.)

Then on this side I glue a polystyrene hemisphere. You can use half a ball from any light material... To make the bouquet more beautiful, you can stick a strip of tulle or organza on the disk in a circle before this moment. Make a pretty skirt for the bouquet.

I plant all the ready-made flowers on a hemisphere using a glue gun, and then decorate them with various decorations from beads, pearls and lace flowers. This is at the request of the customer and for my taste. This is how I make a wedding bouquet from satin ribbons and other items.

The bouquets are in great demand, and I make quite a lot of them, sometimes 80 pieces a month. Here are some of my recent works.

The color scheme of a wedding bouquet can be very different. It depends on the desire of the bride and on her, since everything should be combined and look beautiful as a whole.

And here is how you can decorate the bouquet from below.

Recently, I have some students who are mastering the art of drawing up wedding bouquets, and I help them with advice. All beauty lies in the right assembly and decor.

In addition to such bouquets, I am engaged in the manufacture of topiary and beautiful headbands for hairstyles, decorated with decorative flowers. I still continue to study and master new techniques. I hope that my experience will be useful to you. To create such beauty is both pleasant and exciting.

Dear friends, on my behalf, I thank Galina for the opportunity to learn something new and for detailed master- Class. For me it is interesting and helpful information... I don't know if I'll ever have to create such a wedding bouquet, but I already know the principle, and that's half the battle.

Since Galina has a lot of wedding bouquets, we will evaluate all the compositions in general. They are made according to the same principle and assembly method. I would like to show you as much of this beauty as possible, and not just one bunch. I think that for many it will be valuable information and, perhaps, a master class will be useful to you too. Collecting a wedding bouquet with your own hands from satin ribbons is a real creative process.

The competition continues, and we are waiting for your new masterpieces. Share your work and experience. Surely it will be useful to very many readers, and you will gain new fans of your talent.

If you liked the work of Galina and the detailed master class, tell your friends about it on social networks.

Modern girls are trying to keep up with the fleeting times. Therefore, more and more often they give preference to artificial colors: some out of convictions, some out of love for nature, some in pursuit of fashion, and some out of hobby for hand-made. In any case, today a lot of girls would rather choose a bouquet from satin ribbons than from fresh flowers.

Such a composition of artificial flowers does not at all lose to a similar one from living plants.

How to make a bouquet of satin ribbons

It got to the point that even in a wedding salon you can easily find an artificial festive bridal bouquet that looks no worse than a natural one. Therefore, why not make such beauty for yourself beloved or as a gift for your bridesmaid?

The choice of the bouquet option, of course, depends on the girl's taste and ideas about the cherished celebration and, of course, on the theme of the wedding. They also often make bouquets and decorations for each guest and to decorate the hall in the same style. With this approach, the wedding will turn out to be truly beautiful and unique.

Stylish accessory in pastel colors with metal fittings and stones - the choice of a brave bride

So, for work you will need:

  1. satin tape white, width - 5 cm, length - 5 m;
  2. satin tape Pink colour, the same width, and 2 m long;
  3. white satin ribbon with peas, width -3 cm, length - 1 m;
  4. inlay, oblique, white, length - 1 m;
  5. openwork white tape, gathered on one side with a thread, length - 35 cm;
  6. white satin ribbon, width - 1.5 cm, length - any size;
  7. glue gun;
  8. CD;
  9. mounting foam;
  10. plastic pipe 16 cm long;
  11. hairpins, beads with roses;
  12. needle and thread, scissors, candle and lighter.

Work begins with the creation of roses. Satin ribbon is so malleable that it can be formed into absolutely different flowers... To create the simplest roses, you need to burn over the candle flame along any edge of the tape at the cut point. This will keep the petal from blooming.

A wedding bouquet made of satin ribbons will fit roses from a ribbon of any size. It can even be a 30-centimeter ribbon. But the longer the ribbon, the more magnificent the flower will turn out. Therefore, you do not need to cut it into pieces from the very beginning. It is better to make a flower until it becomes clear that there is already enough volume and the tape can be cut off.

First, the edge of the tape must be bent inward on the seamy side. After that, the tape is twisted into a non-rigid tube. As soon as the folded edge is hidden under the tube, you can immediately start folding the edges. This is done in a direction away from oneself.

The rose is twisted again until the bent contour again disappears under the base. All this is fixed with a needle and thread. When the flower is already large enough, you can cut off the ribbon and secure the rose with threads.

You need to make 4 pink roses and glue the beads on them with a glue gun. A white lace ribbon is sewn onto them from the seamy side, which will be visible at the bottom of the bouquet. There will be 11 white roses.

Making such an accessory with your own hands is much easier than you might think

To create the basis for the bride's bouquet, construction foam is squeezed onto the surface of a regular disk, which should swell and dry. After that, everything unnecessary is cut off. A tube is glued with a glue gun, which will replace the handle for the bouquet.

Then, using the same glue gun, roses are glued to the base according to the pattern you like. Gluing must be done as tightly as possible. The disc is then pasted over with an openwork tape.

In the center, the place must be filled with buds from the remains of a white ribbon. This is done with glue, without gaps. The number of buds must be made so that there is enough for all the gaps remaining after gluing the roses. Polka dot ribbon can be used to tie a bow.

You can decorate the spaces using hairpins with white flowers. The handle of the bouquet will become much more convenient if you wrap the whole of it with an oblique inlay. It remains to tie a thin white ribbon bow on the handle.

By the way, you can make a base for a wedding bouquet from satin ribbons in another way. To set the classic shape for the bouquet to obtain a semblance of a circle, you can make a ball with a diameter of about 12 centimeters from a crumpled newspaper. The workpiece is wrapped with twine. Until the newspaper is dry, you need to make a depression in it for the future handle. After the base has dried, glue is poured into it and a wooden stick-handle is inserted. Later, the base is decorated with flowers, ribbons, beads and other decorative elements.

Bouquet of peonies from satin ribbons

If you wish, you can make a bouquet of satin ribbons in the form of stunning peonies. To make it, you need to stock up following materials and tools:

  • 3.5 meters of pink satin ribbon, 5 cm wide;
  • 1 meter of green satin ribbon, width - 4 cm;
  • scissors;
  • rectangular paper template, 6 centimeters long;
  • a lighter and a candle;
  • thread with a needle.

Delightfully delicate peonies are almost indistinguishable from real ones

The procedure is not complicated at all. First, a tape 5 centimeters wide is cut into pieces 5 centimeters long (15 pieces), 6 centimeters (15 pieces) and 7 centimeters (25 pieces).

After that, all the blanks are cut off at the edges, and the top is given a rounded shape. Then the edges are carefully burned. Bottom part the petal is collected in an accordion and fired. The petals of all the remaining segments are also processed.

When all the blanks have been fired, you can begin to collect the middle of the flower from several petals. After that, the petals are placed around the middle in any order and hemmed.

The sewing process begins with 15 white petals 5 cm each, after them - 15 pieces of 6-centimeter petals, as well as 15 pieces of 7-centimeter. The remaining petals (10 pieces of 7 cm) are sewn in such a way that the ends of the petals are bent outward. For additional hold on the outer petals, you can hold them together with hidden stitches and glue. Now random pieces of green ribbon are collected like leaves and sewn directly onto the flower.

Roses, pearls and lace are ideal materials for this kind of product.

5 peonies will be enough for a bouquet: large (45 petals), medium (25 petals) and buds (10 petals). Peonies bigger size are made of tapes: 15 by 5 centimeters, 10 by 6 centimeters and 20 by 7 centimeters. For an average flower, you need 5 cuts of 5 cm, 5 - 6 cm and 10 - 7 cm.About 10 pieces of 7 cm long are used in the bud.

From materials and tools you will need: a flower pot, a foam ball (more precisely, half of it), which fits well in a pot, a stationery knife, double-sided tape, a glue gun and pins. Of course, previously collected peonies are also needed.

Collecting such bouquets of flowers from satin ribbons is very simple. Double-sided tape is glued to the pot and tied in a bow. Then the edges of the foam hemisphere are cut off and it is tightly inserted into the pot: the size should be such that the foam can hold well in the pot. In the case when the ball does not hold well, you can apply glue to the areas where it joins the pot.

The flowers, prepared in advance, are first placed on the foam "for fitting", after which each of them is fixed with glue and a pin. She will insure the flower on the styrofoam until the glue sets.

Wedding day - main holiday in the life of every girl. And on this day, everything should be perfect. Including a bouquet. To make a wedding bouquet from satin ribbons with your own hands means to get a double pleasure from the holiday. And in this article we will offer several options for creating an unforgettable wedding accessory.

We select the color and texture

Before we start making our bouquet, we need to decide on the color scheme and material for making flowers.

  • We choose satin ribbons in the color of the bride's dress or in the main color of the wedding if the dress is white and you want a bright bouquet.
  • It is worth considering the fabric from which the bride's dress is sewn. The lighter the fabric, the softer the flowers should be. Roses are suitable for a classic dress.
  • If the wedding dress is replete with decorations, then the bouquet should be modestly decorated. Conversely, with a modest outfit, the bouquet should be more elegant and contain more jewelry.
  • A bouquet made for a young bride may contain elongated shapes. A bouquet for an older bride needs to be made more round.

Materials and tools

To make a bouquet, we need to prepare the following tools and materials:

  • Styrofoam ball. Available at a craft store. Alternatively, you can use newspaper and rope.
  • Cardboard tube for the handle of the bouquet. Suitable from a roll of foil or cling film.
  • Satin ribbons of wedding flowers.
  • Glue gun.
  • Beads, rhinestones and other little things for decoration.
  • Lace (optional).
  • Stapler.
  • Beaded pins at the end.
  • Needle, thread to match the ribbons.
  • Scissors.

Making roses

Introducing a master class on making rosebuds from satin ribbons. Step-by-step instruction will allow you to make flowers quickly and beautifully. So, let's begin.

Step 1. The basis for the bouquet

We take a foam ball or make it ourselves from a newspaper. To do this, we crumple the paper until a tight ball is obtained and wrap it with a rope. Then we attach the handle. To do this, make a hole in foam or newspaper, insert a cardboard tube and fill it with glue. Let it dry. Received the base of the bouquet.

Step 2. Roses

We present you several options for making flowers. These methods are simple and also suitable for novice needlewomen. In the process of work, photos will help us.

First option. We will need 90 cm of ribbon 6 cm wide. And also a needle and threads in the color of the ribbon.

The tape must be folded in half, inside out. Sew the entire tape with a tightening stitch. But the edges are quilted a little at an angle. Then you need to pull off the thread, twisting the rose from the ribbon. Fasten the base firmly with a thread.

Second option. We need 15-20 cm of tape 2 cm wide, a needle, threads of the color of the tape.

The tape must be wrapped at a right angle, made three turns, sewn with thread, and again make a right angle from the tape. Wrap it up again. And so do until the end of the tape. Sew tightly with a thread so that the rose holds well.

The third option. We need a tape 50 cm long.

We recommend melting the ends of the tape before work. We put it face down, bend the corner upward at an angle of about 30 degrees and apply glue to the tip of the tape. Then we roll up the tape with a tube. You will get the base of the rose. We unfold the tape away from ourselves and wrap the middle. This is the first petal. We fix it. Then we do the same until the tape runs out. We fix the bottom of the bud.

Step 3. Forming the bouquet

First of all, we decorate the handle of the bouquet with a satin ribbon using a glue gun. Tuck the edges carefully and glue.

You can trim the bottom with lace and beads. You can use two colors of ribbons. The main thing is that the general color scheme is maintained.

We also tighten our sphere. Then we attach the previously prepared flowers to the base of the bouquet. You can use the same glue gun, or attach with pins with beads at the end. And you can glue and additionally, for strength, secure with pins-needles. And if you need to connect the elements together, it is better to use a stapler. First, we attach larger flowers, then smaller ones. But for the best aesthetic appearance, it is better to make flowers of the same size.

You can decorate the bouquet with various little things. Beads, rhinestones, brooches will do. It depends on your imagination and the general surroundings of the wedding.

And although most brides still prefer bouquets of fresh flowers, satin understudies, as they are called, will remain in memory of this wonderful event. After all, they will not wither, do not disappear, do not dry out. This is probably why the tendency to use as wedding decoration a bouquet of satin ribbons is gaining popularity.
