Easter craft from quilling egg. Easter egg in quilling technique. Competitive master class. Easter card "Easter eggs"

Colpitis

Quilling Easter egg- one of the popular ways to create an original decor for Easter. This technique allows you to make beautiful souvenirs with your own hands, and since we will work with paper, children can take part in the main creation process. In addition, this technique can be used for other children's crafts, for example, you can decorate with twisted elements.

You can look on the Internet for other options on how to decorate quilling eggs photo, but the main points of decoration are presented in our master class.

Quilling: Easter egg

To fulfill quilling easter egg we need paper colored stripes because Easter is spring holiday, then we will choose the colors of the paper bright, saturated, spring. We will have flowers of red, yellow, orange colors on the blank, and between them there will be green leaves. If you will cut the strips yourself, then you will need to prepare double-sided colored sheets, which can be bought at office supply stores. The sheets must be drawn with a ruler and a pencil, all strips should be the same width of 0.5-0.7 cm. When you cut the strips yourself, they may turn out to be a little uneven, but this will not affect the accuracy of the finished one. Ready-made stripes - wide and long - are sold already in ready-made sets, in one color or assorted.

We will use a toothpick to roll the paper, but you can also prepare a special tool if you plan to continue creating easter eggs quilling, master class step by step we suggest you next. For homemade tool we will need a toothbrush handle or a long needle with a large long eye. Carefully with side cutters, you need to bite off the edge of the ear, and insert the sharp tip of the needle into the handle. Now it will be very easy to twist all the paper elements, just fix the tip of the strip between the two arcs of the eye, and start twisting in a spiral.

To be neat quilling egg, master should make all the petals of one flower the same size, which is why we suggest you use a ruler with circles: when you twist the paper spiral, it must be placed in one of the circles so that it blooms a little for further deformation. Thanks to the circle, all the spirals will turn out to be the same, and then the tip of the strip must be fixed with a drop of glue.

For work, we will definitely need pushpins, carnations and two rubber bands, cling film and a glass, which will serve as a pedestal for our workpiece so that the testicle does not roll on the table. Of course, we must also prepare the base, in this case we recommend that you use a plastic large egg-shaped blank, consisting of two parts. When you have prepared all the materials, you can begin to perform quilling egg, master class will tell you how to neatly decorate.

Is our quilling egg will have one feature - it will be hollow inside, but at the initial stage of execution we will use a plastic base, which will then be removed, and the two parts will be glued together. Before we start decorating the egg-shaped base, we need to prepare it. In order not to get confused in the decoration scheme, we suggest that you draw the base into four equal parts, each of which is marked with a felt-tip pen in pairs - assigning it the number 1 and 2.

Then the plastic blank must be opened into two halves and wrapped with cling film so that it fits snugly against the base, after which they can be connected again, and the cling film will be fixed at the junction line. We can decorate with any elements easter egg in quilling technique, master class only draws your attention to the main points.

Quilling egg: master class

For the first flower, we need strips 0.5 cm wide, each should be 60 cm long, so if you cut them yourself along the length of the sheet, then two finished strips must be glued together. The petal will look especially beautiful if the middle is a little lighter than the edges, so you can glue the pale yellow and rich yellow stripes together, and then twist it so that the pale yellow edge is at the beginning.

Performing the first spiral, carefully make sure that the turns fit snugly against each other, then it should be slightly dissolved on the ruler and the tip of the strip should be fixed with glue. The finished spiral should be shaped like a “drop”, squeezing one side of the circle with your fingers to make a corner, and the opposite side remains round. For one flower, we need to make 7-8 petals and the middle of a strip 80 cm long (it is necessary to glue three cut strips together).

Finished paper elements must be glued to the base, forming a flower. Glue should be coated not only on the inside, but also on the sides of each element so that they are glued together. So, step by step and decorate quilling egg, and all elements must be fixed with pushpins until the glue dries.

Easter egg in quilling technique we are divided into four parts, in the center of each at the first stage we will glue the finished flower, consisting of seven petals and the middle.

When the entire base is gradually filled with paper elements, and the glue dries, you can proceed to the final stage, how to make a quilling egg. Now we have to carefully open the blank into two halves and remove the plastic case, and then the film, to get an openwork paper craft.

Sometimes used paper technology and to decorate Easter eggs, a few interesting workshops we have prepared for you.

Quilling is the manufacture of voluminous or flat compositions from paper spirals, which are twisted from narrow and long strips.

Blanks of a certain shape are called modules. A master class on their manufacture is presented in the photo below.

From these modules are created various crafts eg Easter egg.

This master class offers several options for its manufacture.

To work, you need to prepare:

  • Egg-shaped preparation.
  • Office paper in different colors.
  • Tweezers, metal ruler, scissors, PVA glue, toothpicks, wallpaper cutter.
  • An awl with a bifurcation at the end for winding paper.

Instead of an awl, you can use a needle with a large and long eye, cutting off its tip with tongs. For convenience, the tip of the needle is stuck into the pencil from the back. Or buy a special device in the Master Class stores for quilling. Sometimes a metal or plastic rod is used to twist paper. ballpoint pen, but then the holes in the middle of the parts are uneven and too large.

paper you can also take any, the main thing is that it has a density of 116 - 160 g / sq. m. and was painted in full, since the cut must be colored. It is also sold in specialized shops for quilling workshops.

As a blank for an Easter egg, you can take a wooden, plastic mold or make it yourself. To do this, add PVA glue to a container with warm water and lower crumpled newspapers there. After a few minutes, squeeze the soaked mass with your hands and form an egg. It will need to be dried in a warm place, it can be on a battery for 12 hours, primed acrylic paint white color and cover with glue.

For decoration, you will need modules in the form of flowers and leaves. Using a ruler and a knife, you need to cut narrow (1.5 mm) strips of paper that will be needed directly for quilling.

Since Easter is celebrated in the spring, it is associated with renewal in nature and the beginning of a new life cycle. Therefore, shades of green for delicate leaves will be very helpful.

Blanks are made by twisting paper strip. When the spiral is ready, it is fixed with glue using a toothpick. Then pinch from one edge to make a leaf. They will need to make about two hundred pieces.

Primroses cannot be dispensed with in a spring composition, for which strips of white paper 15 cm long and 7 cm wide are used. One side is cut in the form of a fringe and then twisted, lubricating lower part glue element. The petals need to be straightened and slightly twisted.

When all the modules are prepared, you can start decorating the Easter egg using the quilling technique. To make it more convenient to work, you can stick two needles into its base. Wetting a small area of the surface with glue, and using tweezers, you need to carefully lay the petals on the product. To make it more decorative, it is recommended to slightly dilute the greens with splashes of a different color, for example, pink.

When the leaves are dry, it remains only to glue the flowers and place the Easter egg, elegantly made using the quilling technique, on the stand.

You can choose completely different colors, add beads and rhinestones; create a creative product or in a chamber style.

Option two "Basket"

A master class on making an Easter egg in the form of a basket differs little from the previous one. It is a little more difficult, but more interesting. It uses quilling modules in the form of eyes.

To design a basket with blue lace, you will need about 150 modules. They are made in the same way as leaflets, only the blanks are squeezed with fingers from both sides.

Then glue is applied and the “eyes” are laid so that the shape of the basket is obtained. The rest of the surface is filled with flowers.

For their manufacture, yellow, white and pink strips are taken 15 cm long and 7 cm wide; fringe is cut on them. Then a narrow strip is glued and the disk is twisted, starting from the narrow part and gluing the wide one. When the workpiece dries, the petals are straightened.

In total, about fifteen flowers will be required. different sizes. Finished elements are strengthened on an Easter egg, after dipping them in glue. You can add green stripes that imitate grass or some other elements that are not described in this master class.

Option three "Openwork"

To complete this master class on making an openwork Easter egg, in addition to a detachable form, you will need a maximum:

  • Patience.
  • perseverance.
  • Accuracy.
  • Agility.

In addition, experience or certain skills in quilling are needed, since the work is very painstaking.

Like in a good old fairy tale?

Mom gave answers to everyone:

- Easter- the brightest holiday!

And the egg, I know

To work, you need to prepare:

Egg-shaped preparation. (from foam; from big kinder; you can make papier-mâché)

Office paper in different colors.

Tweezers, metal ruler, scissors, PVA glue, stationery knife.

An awl with a bifurcation at the end for winding paper.

Preparatory work

Before you start creating eggs, you need to make blanks.

To do this, we will cut, with the help of a knife and a ruler, narrow strips of paper and wind disks out of them on a forked awl. Then slightly release the workpiece so that the disk spins a little.

We glue the tip and squeeze one end, forming a "drop", glue the forms into a flower.

You can decorate crafts with glued flowers, or lay out a flower on the blank itself from the "drops".

If children are preparing crafts, it is very important to tell them about safety precautions. You need to show how to properly handle sharp objects and glue.

It is necessary to twist about 30-40 elements "a drop" and "ringlet". And you can proceed to the most pleasant stage of decorating our souvenir. Pour glue into the place where we plan to stick the leaves, and lay the elements (it is more convenient with tweezers, trying to observe the ornament. A large amount of glue is required so that the paper of the finished elements is well saturated and becomes durable (when dried, PVA glue is not noticeable)

If desired, you can make coaster of elements "leaf" and "ringlet", decorate with beads.

Hope my tutorial will be helpful. And inspire the creation of similar souvenirs.

Hello, Dear friends!

Imagine, our competition "Gifts for your loved ones with your own hands", one might say, has gained international status! =) The fact is that the next participant, who sent us her master class, lives in Poland. Her name is Joanna Lada. Generally speaking, we have already managed to get to know Joanna a little. For some time now she has been a regular reader of KARTONKINO, taking an active part in the life of the site. (And this is a great honor for me! Thank you, Joanna!) At the same time, Joanna's decision to join the competition came as a big surprise to me =). I admit, I was even a little worried, because I “know” the Polish language at the level of a Google translator, capable of conveying the general meaning of what was written, but absolutely helpless when you demand precise wording from it ... Be that as it may, the “language barriers” were safely overcome (although what barriers can there be when we all here essentially speak the same language - the language of creativity?). And now I am pleased to present you a master class on creating an amazing Easter egg using the technique volumetric quilling. Do you think such a product is very difficult to make with your own hands? You never know for sure until you try =). Perhaps Joanna's master class will give you optimism and inspiration.

Master class by Joanna Łada:

Easter egg (quilling)

Hey! My name is Joanna Lada. I am 70 years old. I live in Poland, in the city of Bialystok.

My hobbies include cross stitching, quilling, scrapbooking, origami and other types of needlework. But I can't draw at all...

I was invited to the children's hospital as a volunteer, where I share my knowledge with children with pleasure. For one hour of quilling, children can, for example, make a rowan branch with a bunch of berries. Despite the illness, they rejoice and are ready to learn something new with pleasure. Please forgive me, but as soon as I start talking about children... I love children!

.
The idea for this quilling Easter egg is not mine, I found it on the pages of one of the needlework blogs (www.innascreations.blogspot.com). I tried my hand and, as you can see, everything worked out.

Getting started, you need to prepare in advance:

- strips of paper from which we will create our model (in this case, I used paper in four shades of red),

- scissors,

- paper glue or any other non-toxic glue,

- a box with sewing pins (hairpins),

- ruler,

- quilling needle

- stencil for quilling with holes of various diameters,

- a brush for applying glue.

As base form I used a foam egg 20 cm high, on which, for my own convenience, I drew vertical lines that greatly facilitate the work (in this case there are 16 of them).

The foam egg must be placed in a plastic bag, pulling the latter tightly and tying it in the place from which to start working.

To be honest, it wouldn't be a bad idea to first design the pattern we want to create, but I've found from my own experience that the best patterns are made on the fly.

Let's start with strips 15 cm long, twisting them into circles with a diameter of 10 mm. We glue all the quilling elements with each other and after gluing we fix it on the egg with two pins.

Lay out the first row in a circle, then the second and so on. It all depends on your imagination.

Approaching the middle of the egg, it is necessary not only to increase the diameters of the circles in the rows, but also to use strips for their manufacture different lengths.

Important! When working on such a large object, it is necessary to make only as many quilling elements at a time as we need for one row, while comparing the size of each new element with the first.

The pattern will be formed in the process of work. Of course, having a photo of an already finished egg will greatly simplify the work.

.
Gluing features.

- Glue should be used quite a bit - literally as much as will fit on the tip of the needle. When too in large numbers glue, it will begin to flow to the surface, and this may lead to a local discoloration of the paper.

- Having reached the middle of the model, it must be remembered that the next row does not need to be glued. The egg begins to narrow, and the next row will run along a smaller circle. So, if this row is glued to the previous one, remove ready product with styrofoam egg it just won't work. Therefore, we fix it, as they say, "dry".

We make the second half of the model by turning the shape over and moving up.

After you have finished gluing, you must wait about 12 hours to make sure that all the elements are well fixed and connected to each other. After that, you can remove the pins (except for the middle row) and carefully cover everything with varnish or glue, being careful not to glue the middle rows together.

Leave the work for another 4-6 hours and then the product can be removed from the mold. This process is a rather difficult task, because in the absence of the proper skill, the work on which so much time and effort has been spent can simply be spoiled. Therefore, it is necessary to remove the structure very, very slowly, carefully covering each half with the whole palm.

During this operation, the bag in which the egg was wrapped usually remains on the mold. But, if difficulties arise, you can try to carefully cut the polyethylene with scissors - then the foam form will pop out by itself, and we will only have to manually remove the parts of the bag from the halves of the quilling egg.

Next, we glue both halves, and on this Easter egg using the quilling technique can be considered almost ready. Of course, if you used paper with a density of 80 g / m2, then the product at this stage will have to be varnished again.

The last thing that remains to be done is to glue a paper circle of the appropriate diameter into the hole in which the end of the bag was located.

In total, it took me 10 hours to complete the whole job (not including the time for gluing), but, nevertheless, I am satisfied with the result.

The admiration of friends will be the best reward!

I remind you that everything competitive works are presented in the "Competitions" menu section. Go, get acquainted, share your impressions in the comments.

Have a great mood and creative inspiration!

See you soon in KARTONKINO !
